At the last minute our plumber cancelled. We checked out Daniel's Home Service on line and got an estimate on Friday and had the work done Monday morning. We added another service and Carlos was happy to add it on and do it. Carlos explained the plan, did the work, walked us through when he was done. With in 5 hours they re-routed a water line, drains, and moved a gas line getting us ready for a new kitchen. We've had intermittent problems with our AC for years but it still works. Prior to Daniel's coming out we had three other HVAC companies to inspect our unit. 1)the company our home warranty sent 2)Michael and Sons and 2)a colleague who does HVAC on the side. The first two came out, saw how old the unit was and immediately said "replace it" without even seeing if it could be repaired. They both quoted us exorbitant prices for a new system. The 3rd person added Freon and got the unit back working. However in a few days it stopped cooling the house. We were leaning toward having our warranty company replace the unit but the hvac company they were going to use to do the work had horrible reviews and we felt like they were price gouging us by adding expensive modifications and a new outside condenser unit (even though only the indoor handler supposedly had a leak). So even with a warranty we were looking at spending an excessive amount of money and weren't convinced our unit couldn't be repaired. I one had even tried. So we decided to try one more company and we found Daniel's on Yelp with their excellent reviews. Carlos who came out was very knowledgeable and thorough. He is the only tech of the 4 that actually focused on fixing the unit. He suggested topping off the Freon and cleaning the coils in the condenser unit which hadn't been done in years. He also cleaned the inside coils. The unit has been working beautifully ever since. This will get us through the summer and since the heating unit works perfectly we get extended life and aren't out of thousands of dollars unnecessarily. When the time comes that we actually must replace our AC unit, we will definitely be calling Daniel's. Oh and we are dropping our warranty company (American Home Shield) which utterly sucks! They are THE biggest ripoff and nuisance to deal with. read more

Great service, professional, and reasonably priced! I had water leaking from my gas water heater. Daniel's Home Services was able to come the next day to check it out. These guys were able to diagnose the problem and gave me several options. They did the repairs the same day. My water heater is also located in a tricky location, this was no problem for the two technicians that came. They were in and out in about 2.5 hours. Had a different plumber come out the day before that wanted to charge an astronomical amount; Daniel's was way more fair priced. Highly recommend. A person answered the phone on the first call, and they sent a plumber who arrived within the promised 45 minutes. He was polite, friendly and did an excellent job, even explained I could save money on materials by simply buying what he described at the local hardware store vs. him going out and buying the parts at his hourly rate plus markup. I am in a new home that uses a well and a whole house water filter, all of which I'm unfamiliar with, and the casings are stuck, so i cannot change the filter. Rather than risking to break something I hire these guys as their flat rate is very reasonable. The water main piping was not standard but we were able to troubleshoot and avoid a high expense. These guys were thorough to look for any remaining drips and to clean up the work site when done, (and wore shoe covers walking in). Very agreeable to work with, for reasonable rate. read more

I have used Daniel's Home Services on several occasions to install a new water heater and fix up the connected gas pipes and install a backup sump pump system. They have been super helpful and efficient on both occasions. I had to have an inspector and Washington Gas come out after their work, and both groups were very impressed with the work they did on the water heater, new chimney liner, and gas pipe fittings. I had the toilets in two full and one half-bath replaced and installed. These were the original toilets in my 29 year old TH and all pretty much failed on the same day. I spoke with Carlos to set up an appointment. He came by early the next day and explained to me what equipment I needed, how long installation would take and estimated the cost. I called Carlos again after I purchased the items. He sent Jonathan and Evert out early the following morning. They worked quickly and efficiently. Have come out twice to fix our boiler when we returned from vacation to a cold house. (Yes, this happened twice in one year). The most recent time, I called at 6:30 PM on a Saturday and was initially told service person would come within an hour. They called back and said he was stuck at another job, but could come around 10 PM. I said I'd look for another company, thanks, but couldn't find anyone else to come out. Called them back and said could he still come? Yes, he came out even though it was almost midnight when he was available, and got the system working again. Would give 5 stars for service, but on the previous repair they did extra work that was supposed to fix the problem, only to have the same problem recur a year later. read more

Two workers came out to analyze the issue by telling me what parts needed to be replaced. I spoke to Daniel who right away pushed for a new unit altogether saying that by the time I pay for repairs it would be around the same costs of getting a new one. I shared I didn't have a budget for that so he said he might be able to find a used unit. I decided to look up the parts needed myself and discovered that they're common parts that tend to need replacements on AC units and unless his hourly price is extremely high would not come near the costs of a completely new unit. I followed up the next day (by email and text) inquiring about the status of getting a used unit and letting him know that the parts were replaceable. I've never heard back from him at all. The 2 stars is for them actually coming out to do the analysis (which I paid for). Ended up being an unprofessional experience as it seems he didn't want to actually do the job if I wasn't getting a new unit. Unfortunately, I recommend based on this first time experience. read more
