I was in the market for a shearling jacket. I recalled there were several stores on Orchard Street. Based on positive reviews, Daniels Leather was on my list. The first shop we came across was an ancillary store for Daniels, a narrow shop with a ton of outerwear. Victor was wonderful. Helpful, friendly -- I really hoped to buy something from him. Unfortunately, he didn't stock anything that I liked. Eager to help, Victor had a colleague walk me down the street to their showroom. What a waste of time. The fellow who "helped" me was blase, and not particularly knowledgeable. They also didn't have many styles. I found one coat I would have considered if they had my size. Supposedly another employee was getting it from a storeroom. We waited. And waited. The guy "helping" me walked off, oblivious and indifferent. So we left. We wanted to go here after seeing the photos on Instagram. My friend thats from NY warned me that the stuff was cheaply made before I got there. The coats that the celebrities have are not the same materials that they sell here. I think they use high quality materials for them. Don't let the name fool you because they have a hug variety of furs which are my choice pieces. The color assortment on the leathers and furs is like nothing you have ever seen before. I was so disappointed ... I was referred to this store by a friend in the music industry who raves about this store. I saw a coat that I wanted to get my lady, I ordered it and it's no option to change the color of the jacket so I ordered the purple. I noticed that the address was incorrect on the shipping and notified the store and the owner nicely phoned me to confirm the address and product. The jacket came today and I feel like I ordered on WISH vs spending $1000 on a coat. The only thing right was the size ! As stated before I ordered purple, the coat came in black and the fur is FAKE ! It's the fake fur you put on Walmart bomber jackets and nowhere as full as the picture. This was totally false advertisement and if you don't believe me look at the pictures. I contacted the owner and no reply, then I put in a dispute via PayPal. Sooo. They have great coats/jackets. They cater more so to there high profile customers. My husband and I went in to purchase two jackets on Saturday and someone name Fendi was there. We never got the chance to buy anything so we went a door down and purchased a shearling with a hood and a triple fat goose (red white and blue with the white fur). My review is for the location in Destiny USA Syracuse New York. The customer service was top-notch. The gentleman in there helped me with the coats on and off. I am older and needed a little help. He also knew exactly what I was looking for even though I didn't. I needed to exchange the coat and he was very kind in helping me find what I realized I wanted. As far as I know they will not do a refund but if you go in they will bend over backwards to make sure you leave with a coat you are happy with. If you are from upstate New York like I was from Oswego, you know the importance of a warm coat and this is where to get yours. The best furrier in orchard street they have the most beautiful pieces ever and they do custom work ! They did an amazing job on my custom jacket and I'm so happy with the end result . Would love to order a specific coat but clothing of this quality and nature should have a description of its material. Only low end clothing like those listed on websites from companies in China list the items like Daniels does. If it's fur, leather or even shearling it should state what type of atleast how much of it is fur, I know fabric this is very poorly made clothing. His $349 carcoat is not wool but polyester and vinyl trims. The jackets look nice but they are worthless. Hence why all the consumers he advertises or markets with are just there for the photos read more

These guys are cons. They tried to sell me a faux shearling for almost $600, claiming it was originally $1500, passing it off as a real one! When I confronted him about the material being listed as a leather outer with polyester lining when it's supposed to be shearling, he denied it and got angry saying it was real shearling. I know how to read, the coat label itself said it was polyester, not shearling. Beware of these guys, DON'T TRUST THEM. Remember, all sales are final, so once you walk out with it, you're done, you're stuck with a faux shearling that you paid 6x-10x what its worth. They originally were trying to sell it to me for almost $800, but before realizing it was fake, I spotted some damage on the coat and they reduced the price. They're also affiliated with another store that's 15 ft away, right next to Nick and Sons and the Orchard Street Hotel. I've been coming to the shops on this street for decades and I've never had this happen before. On top of that, the prices were also completely outrageous compared to my past experiences. read more

I'm just gonna keep this review nice and short. When I got my coat I DID NOT like it AT ALL!!!! The price was extremely high and it looked like I ordered it from one of those cheap online sites, it had some weird looking patch on the back of it and he tried to tell me that was his signature logo for his coats...uhhh no! I left a deposit that is non refundable so instead I got a fur vest for my child and to tell you the truth I don't even like the vest it looks very flimsy and cheap, I also ordered ear muffs to match the vest I told them I want the ear muffs very fluffy and I want the suede headband not the regular looking plastic one. When I got to the store to pick it up the girl went in the back on the floor and dug up some black ear muffs and said "here they go" I replied "that is definitely not my ear muffs" she replied "yes they are" I was so annoyed I just took the muffs and told them to have a nice day...NEVER AGAIN! My advice is to leave the lowest deposit you can leave because you can't get your money back if you happen to not like the coat. This place will NEVER see my face or money again I was so turned off I refuse to buy anything from any store on that whole entire block. TOTAL SCAM he must pay these celebrities to promote him. read more
