She's on her way to Vegas, a custom hot rod to drive down the streets of Las Vegas Blvd. Vroom vroom baby!
    Susan R.

Where's a good mechanic when you need one? Passing along "the good word," take a chance! Out in my day to day, this was a stop along my way. It turned out to be a stop that could make someone's day. Car problems when they arise are tough and troublesome. Need that good mechanic; look no further. While I cannot speak for having had work done to my ride; let me tell you what I know. While in the motions our paths ran across. It's was destined for who knows when you could use a good and honest mechanic. Does my ride need work? Perhaps, but not today. While on location the owner was one of the happiest and most unique individuals I've met. A small business owner, who works in all area dealing with cars and trucks. They fix both foreign and domestic. They restore old cars to breath new life again. The work that Daniel and his mechanics perform is another form of art. Look at those sexy curves on that old Ford. The lines and placement of the headlights. Just thinking of the old days, when you would just jump in the whip and ride all day! Older cars in all their glory are something to be admired. Ever see that old muscle car in all its glory. How about an old hot rod? These days cars seem to come off of a factory line all made the same way. They have no soul. The cars of yesterday's are an unofficial forgotten relic it seems these days. Until now. Are you looking to restore your old ride, they can put the wrench time in for you. All the work is done by hand with the utmost touch and respect for your ride. While I was on location, customer after customer would call. The owner answers all the calls and has such a personal touch with each one either in person or over the phone. His care and authenticity is overwhelming. This man is a true angel. His gift for working on cars can only come from decades and decades of seriousness and hard works. To be in his presence and to converse with him was so uplifting. Some individuals just have a certain way, a touch of light to pass along. Daniel has that ability when it comes to all things car and truck. Whatever you need don't hesitate to ask? When all else fails what do we do when the car breaks down? We call the dealer. This shop prides themselves on being the dealership alternative. All major services are available here with many different mechanics on duty to meet the needs of his customers. What do you need done? Brakes, tires, clutch, electric, tune up, engine hick ups, engine and transmission full services. Call for your need. They will work with warranty service contracts to make sure you have what you need. The pricing is fair too. While waiting for Daniel on another business matter, he was finishing his business with one of his customers. The client was overjoyed with the cost of her work. When the customer left, Daniel mentioned that why over charge. It's not good business practice. He's not in the game to be a millionaire. He works on cars because he loves what he does. Sure it makes him money, but not millions. He cares to deeply for people that it radiates from him. He has been blessed, therefore turns around at every turn and blesses others when he fixes their cars. Fair and equal all are that walk through the door. What a wonderful day that I was able to meet these Individuals. As an elite, I am sharing the experiences that I have made along the way. I don't believe in coincidence! Everyone and everything placed along my path is for a reason. On the journey of life, a trust worthy relationship with your car specialist is important. When your ride needs service reach out to Daniel. Give his services a try he's worthy of your time!

He was on time, professional, and clearly knew what he was doing. He explained everything in a way that made sense, didn't try to upsell anything unnecessary, and made sure the job was done right. My A/C is now blowing cold again like it should, and the car is running perfectly. You can tell he takes pride in his work and cares about doing a quality job. On top of that, the convenience of him coming to me saved a lot of time and hassle. I'd definitely recommend him to anyone looking for reliable and honest mobile mechanic work.

However, I am very disappointed with the level of expertise and outcome of the visit. My 2014 Jeep compass has had the check engine light on for a week, steering locked up last week, and has had delayed clicking start. Justin arrived, I gave him the full history of my vehicle (no problems for 10 years) and the issues occurring the last month or so which prompted the call. He started running tests, even drove the car around to see if he could replicate what I had been experiencing. About 30 minutes into the visit he said he couldn't replicate any of the issues; that's okay, as I mentioned it only happened about 50% of the time. But he sat in my car another 20-30 minutes or so, told me he had to call his boss because he was completely stumped. Not really what you want to hear, but even I started making suggestions of what it could be so he could at least do something for me. At the end of the visit he basically just said "sorry I have no idea what's wrong, maybe replace your battery?"... the only thing he found was a sensor on my engine needed replacement, but it's totally unrelated to the other issues. I ended up having to pay $150 for literally no better idea what's wrong with my car and not feeling any safer to drive it. It was a huge waste of my time and now I'm out $150, and I still had to take it to another shop that already figured out the problem not even 24 hours later. Save yourself some money and go to a real auto shop. I understand that some technicians may be learning or lack the knowledge to dive deeper, but someone should be going with them to assist so your customers aren't left feeling robbed and confused.

My sister has been their customer for several years and has always spoken highly of them, so I decided to give them a try. Jenny Bastanchury was my service advisor and provided excellent service at every step. The car arrived shifting hard and shuddering at low speeds. Litchfield Auto Repair's mechanics quickly discovered what the large chain shop missed. A damaged transmission bracket was causing excess vibration and had been destroying my motor and transmission mounts. There were also other issues that needed attention, and the team walked me through each one clearly. Litchfield Auto Repair diagnosed excessive engine movement and rebuilt the entire engine and transmission mount set-up using modified brackets because original parts for a 2000 Cavalier are no longer available. They replaced the left front CV axle, installed a new air conditioning compressor, performed a complete R134a evacuate and recharge service, and coordinated a full transmission rebuild. Per my request, Jenny tried to source new old stock parts for the job, but in some cases, they were not available. After all the work was completed, the Cavalier drove smoother and stronger than it has in years. Their pricing was fair, their communication was clear, and the quality of their work was outstanding. Jenny and her mechanics really listened to my input and provided superior service compared with what I had experienced at other shops over the last 12 years. Although Litchfield Auto Repair is a little out of my way, I will drive the extra miles to get auto repairs I can fully trust. Please give them a try. You will not be disappointed.

As I waited in their lobby, the oil and the belt were replaced in just over two hours. The money I paid was well worth it, as I felt satisfied and secure in my vehicle after it left the shop. While waiting in the reception area, I overheard the owners speaking with another customer. They offered to assist the other customer when they didn't have to. They were willing to go above and beyond on their own time to help the community. When you come here, you're not just a customer or a number; you become Family, and I like to see that.

I was verbally told that metal shavings were present inside the rear differential and that the entire differential assembly needed replacement. I was quoted approximately $3,600 for the repair. When I requested written clarification regarding how this diagnosis was made, including whether the differential was drained or opened, the condition of the fluid, whether photos were taken, and what specific testing procedures were used, no documentation was provided to support the claim. I then obtained a second opinion from another licensed mechanic. The vehicle was properly lifted, road tested, and inspected, and the rear differential was not identified as the source of the issue. The concern was resolved without replacing the differential. My mechanic also contacted this shop directly to ask about the basis for their diagnosis and did not receive any clear explanation. It is not possible to visually confirm internal metal shavings inside a sealed differential without draining the fluid or opening the case. No such procedure was documented on my repair order. Based on my experience, this did not feel like a transparent or customer focused shop. I strongly encourage customers to request written proof and seek a second opinion before authorizing major repairs.

Repair worked great and it was easy, I even financed a portion of the bill with easy pay. HOWEVER, just when I thought I had found a company that was easy and trustworthy that quickly changed. In March I had to return...our vehicle started to die off when we would add gas or cold start. So we decided to bring it back after our initial visit. The service advisor Jay was polite, responsive and friendly. After the next few hours I got the call that it was a code P2188 - EVAP purge valve and it needed to be replaced because it no longer functioned and was stuck in place. They also told us we needed an oil change based on the sticker in the car even though it was old. We had an oil change not even more than two/three months prior but they even took a photo of the sticker and sent it to me. They were sure to mention that this was all they found but it may not fix the problem. We ended up doing this, $800 later and still not fixed. This did not work. The very next morning we brought it back. They proceeded to check their work on the new part and then tried to recreate the problem for a new diagnosis. Then we get the call, it's the fuel pump and the oil. They wanted $800 for the fuel pump and around $200 for the premium oil change both were recommended. There was other fees of course but they deactivate the quotes after your service so you can't see them. I was not happy that I had to spend more money after the first time, BUT now I just felt they were pulling my chain. I was asking so many questions and they changed their story, called me multiple times asking about the same things I explained. It just felt scammy. The industry has a pretty bad rap for being a scam and overly aggressive pricing and sales and this is what I experienced. Needless to say after paying the $200 inspection fee and the $800 valve, I didn't trust them to do the end job. I bought the fuel pump for $200 at autozone and fixed it myself, and it worked. I will NEVER use Christian Brothers again. Also, if you are the owner/manager, please don't comment on this post the same copy/paste response you do to everyone else. Also, your technicians also left my car lights on!

We took our Jeep there a few weeks ago and had a bad experience but the manager made it right so we thought we'd try again. HUGE mistake. My wife's Jeep is a manual with the basic cable hand brake, and one of the cables that applies the brake apparently broke. Not a difficult repair, but I don't have the time, so we thought we'd have them change it along with an oil change. Dropped the Jeep off and we're told that it'd be $180 diagnostic fee just to LOOK at it! And this is ON TOP of the repair cost!! I've never heard anything like this! Any other shop only charges a diagnostic if you opt out of the repairs. These people want to have their cake and eat it too - and my cake too! Stick a fork in me, I'm done with this place. They actually charge more than the dealership! Heck the last time they charged me half that to actually do a road test. Still couldn't figure out what was wrong but they charged me $90 anyway. In all fairness, the manager refunded this after I complained, but if I hadn't complained we'd have paid them to take the Jeep for a ride and still not figure out what was wrong. Now they want $180 just to LOOK at 3 cables to see which one needed replaced? And I'm supposed to pay more on top of the "diagnostic fee"? These people have lost their minds. At the end of the day, you're paying ABOVE premium prices for mediocre work at best. Don't say you weren't warned.

Although many tire shops came up in my search, one company stood out to me -- that wasn't even a dedicated tire shop. It was Wilhelm Automotive. The reason they stood out to me was because of the glowing reviews from customers, like myself, who have limited knowledge surrounding auto-repair needs... or knowing who to trust! (Especially for those of us who tend to feel intimidated by auto-repair shops that have been dishonest, are all about 'up-selling' services & parts you don't actually need and/or those who are 'shady' at best. I was also surprised to see an auto repair shop that came up on a tire shop search. But right at the top of their reviews, there was a review surrounding Wilhelm providing excellent service that involved tires/tire fixes and replacement. After filling the tire up with air, I noticed a nail with a slow leak, and since they were so close, I drove out their way. I just have to say that deciding to go to Wilhelm Automotive when I was having an issue with my tire was the best decision I could have ever made. Not only did they fix my flat tire, they also looked at and fixed another tire that I had been having issues with. No shop in Los Angeles would fix it for me, insisting that I needed to purchase a brand new tire (which actually meant buying two new tires because of the all-wheel drive situation on my 2015 Subaru Outback). Even from the exact tire shop that I had originally ~ and recently~ bought 4 brand new tires from!!! Wilhelm Automotive fixed both tires no problem and with none of the issues I was repeatedly told there would be, by multiple shops I had asked to. (I was a bit shocked, and when I asked how they ended up fixing it... with a patch or plug? I was told that they did a combination of both to ensure that the tire is solidly and permanently fixed, is completely safe and 'as good as new')!! They also had my passenger side windshield wiper blade in stock (that I had asked about as well) and replaced it for me after fixing my tires. When I went up to the counter to pay my bill after my car was brought out for me (only 40 mins later, I was told 'you're good to go! we're good! just please consider using us for any other car repairs that might come up')! I could t believe it!! I was in total shock... they wouldn't even let me pay for the wiper blade and I pretty much had to force them to, at very least, take a tip from me!!! I was ~delightfully~ in shock the rest of the day. I have made my folks (& their friends & neighbors) promise me to ONLY go to Wilhelm Auto from here on out!! I'm sorry to report that this review is {finally} here ~ so long after-the-fact, but life as a hard-working single Mom has a way of coming in between such things. But exceptional, honest, professional and CARING service is never out of fashion -- nor is a review for it!! ********************************** It's incredibly rare to find an auto repair shop these days that encompasses all of these and more!!
