Welcoming and friendly staff, with timely service; the server checked on us just enough which is always appreciated. The food was delicious. I dove directly into my coconut shrimp and forgot to take a photo. I actually finished the plate which is a major rarity for me. I also tried the hush puppies and cilantro lime rice (with COCONUT!)... both of which are the best I've had in this entire area. The hush puppies have the perfect amount of jalapeño in them. For drinks, I had a loaded landshark (always refreshing and lovely) and a frozen house margarita. Yum! The only thing I'd recommend they improve upon is the indoor chair material. Fabric is never a good option, especially in a kid-friendly place. While comfortable, it's not worth the messes that get stuck to them. I had to switch chairs around and settle for the least dirty one. It's not a good look and no one wants to sit atop another person's spill. read more

To start the staff was friendly and sat my GF and I quickly. We were escorted to an outside table kinda overlooking the concert venue. The server came quickly enough and brought waters. The GF and I ordered chips and salsa and Casio dip The chips had to have been from the bottom of the bag, the chips were literally chips from chips. The cheese queso and salsa was just ok.. The Gf and I ordered the seafood platter and margaritas The drinks were decent. The food when It came was NOT GOOD! The shrimp was rotten tasting and I made the manager aware. He replaced the plate with a fresh plate, but the shrimp on the new plate was also rotten tasting as the first! I did not eat it... Unfortunately this place is over rated and serves poor tasting food, seemingly from a bag. NOT FRESH FOOD. read more

Loved our meals at Fins! We're staying here at Camp Margaritaville for an RV rally. One evening, we decided to eat at Fins with another couple. We met on the early side of the evening and were seated right away. Our server was super nice and very helpful. We ordered drinks and later ordered our meals. The drinks were tasty. I ordered the Fried Seafood Platter. It was very good and had a lot of seafood on it. I ate less than half of it and took the rest home for dinner the next night. My wife ordered Fish Tacos and felt they were "okay" - not extraordinary. She too took half her meal home to eat the next day. I also want to add that we rode up the elevator with the Food and Beverage Manager and he was quite pleasant. In fact, every employee we met at Fin's greeted us warmly and were quite cheery. We'll eat at Fin's next year when we return. read more

Fins Bar had a pretty rough night when we visited . The staff were friendly but clearly stressed, and the poor server needed some backup. Kudos to the manager for stepping in and trying to make things right. Now, onto the nitty-gritty: the cushions were pretty gross, with stains and trash - not exactly what you want when you're trying to chill. Food was fantastic, but unfortunately the service was VERY disappointing. We had a reservation for a party of 12 girls, and our server introduced himself by saying it was only his second day. We completely understand being new, but the experience became uncomfortable and honestly disrespectful at times. We were a very easy table, polite the entire time, and there for about two hours. During that whole time, he only refilled around four drinks total and acted inconvenienced anytime someone asked for anything. At one point, a girl at our table asked for a Shirley Temple refill and he banged his head against the drink tray and scoffed in frustration. It felt like he was complaining about doing the bare minimum, which made everyone at the table really uncomfortable. Throughout the night he made frustrated comments while taking orders and seemed visibly overwhelmed. For a party of 12, especially on someone's second day, management should have stepped in to help more. We could also clearly see the server and manager talking about our table inside the restaurant multiple times, and it definitely did not seem professional or positive. Which is absolutely NOT OKAY. Another issue was that we had refilled our chips three times before being told there would be an extra charge, something that should have been explained upfront when we first ordered refills. The restaurant was also very empty, so it was surprising how poorly the situation was handled. Again, the food itself was amazing, but the service and professionalism unfortunately made the overall experience frustrating and uncomfortable. read more

It's Tuesday afternoon. Nauti Beaver Hut and Stingaree we're both closed. However Finn's bar and grill was open. Worth the effort. You do have to park near the front of the complex in the gravel parking lot, but then they had a guy give us a ride in the golf cart to the restaurant and back out to our car afterwards. If you want to walk it's about 5 minutes. Drinks were good, pretzel and cheese was excellent. Shrimp tacos were excellent. Place has been open for about three years but looks like it just opened. Service from Tyler was excellent. She was so gracious. I can't recommend this place enough. Perfect ambiance and a place to eat, drink and relax. To the other places not open, your loss. read more

Wait staff very friendly and good at checking in to see if we needed anything. Deserts were as delicious as possible. They also, have a kids friendly menu. Fins isn't the most quiet place, it is a family dining experience. If you're looking for a romantic spot this isn't for you. read more

This is one of the local places to eat on Bolivar and my views are mixed on it. The good: the look and feel of the restaurant are great. The views are great either inside or on the deck and the interior decor is very beachy. The waitstaff were attentive at lunch so we didn't wait for anything. The chicken salad was good but the chicken a little over cooked. The bad: I had the coconut shrimp. For $24 I definitely expected more from a plate. I had 6 large butterfly shrimp that were cooked "ok" but the batter made them feel very dry. And for a $24 plate, to serve 6 shrimp over a bed of fries seems very excessive when I can go down the road and get a redfish platter for the same price with better sides. The sauce with the shrimp could have been a little thinner as well. The whole plate just came off over priced and heavy. I may have missed the sign but they are also cashless. read more

I ordered food around 8:15, knowing it was close to closing, and even mentioned that when I called. I was told not to worry because the kitchen didn't close until 9 PM. Unfortunately, I wish I had. The food was terrible. The fish was disintegrated -- half burnt and the other half still raw. The fries were covered in salt, and the "catch of the day" (which I don't have photos of) was so dry my husband couldn't even eat it. As a chef and restaurant consultant, I could tell this food was made as the kitchen was shutting down, forgotten about, and rushed out the door. For the price point and the Margaritaville name, I expected so much more. We basically spent our money, wasted our time, and still ended up hungry. With everything else closed on the island, we were just out of luck. Really disappointing experience. read more

Great nicer restaurant if you're in the area. It's a "nice" restaurant but you won't be out of place if you're wearing shorts and a t-shirt. All of our food and drinks were wonderful, other than the blackened snapper, which was a "special" and it just wasn't good. It was Dry, cold and plain for $35, All of the other food was delicious and in big portions other than that. Would reccomend the ahi steak if you're into that, if not the cajun pasta is very good. A little overpriced, but worth it overall. Staff is very friendly, will be back! read more

I arrived today with my service animal. When I asked about being seated, I was told dogs were not allowed. I clearly stated that my dog is a service animal, not a pet. Despite this, I was told I would have to sit outside if I wanted to eat. Under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), service animals are legally permitted inside restaurants. Nevertheless, I was required to sit outdoors in cold, windy conditions while other guests were seated comfortably inside. While ordering, I specifically asked -- twice -- whether the bun was gluten-free due to a medical gluten intolerance. I was assured both times that it was gluten-free. After eating the meal, I became violently ill, consistent with gluten exposure. During the meal, staff explained that indoor seating priority was being given to investors who were dining inside. I was told this as justification for my being seated outside with my service animal. To be clear: - Service animal access is a civil right, not a preference - Misrepresenting food as gluten-free can cause real medical harm If you have a disability, rely on a service animal, or have celiac disease or gluten sensitivity, proceed with caution. My experience was deeply disappointing and physically harmful. read more

Good food as you'd expect from one of the Jimmy Buffet chains. Prices were higher than local restaurants, which was also to be expected. Our wait staff was attentive, but they've clearly not staffed up despite it being spring break so things weren't the usual speedy. The menu is still the limited winter menu, so we all ended up ordering specials (delicious). I wish we'd come just a little later to eat so we could have enjoyed some of the night's concert - Pat Green! read more

In all my years of dining in all different kinds of restaurants and situations I have NEVER been treated like this..., We decided to go to the Fins restaurant because of their "special" for Thursday night family special as advertised per their web site... 2 pizza's , 2 salads, wings for 35$ great we got there and no Seating inside.... Ok that's cool no worries....we sat outside and then it began .... Our waitress was not familiar with the menu/specials. Ok ...cool... we showed her the web site and she took our order and the next thing we knew "Mike" the manager showed up and said "oh no we aren't honoring that" and literally left .... Wow just wow... so we had already ordered our drinks (wave runner) So we asked for Mike to come bank to our table and he said "they couldn't honor it" again and we were like "but you literally just honored it for our friends that were just here." So he changed his mind. We had to go to the bar to order our drinks,ask for to go containers, and our tab because our waitress literally NEVER came back to check on us.... Not once. If you can't honor what is on your web site you should put a sign on your door. We would have gladly took our patronage to a restaurant down the road. Mike had no customer service skills. Our poor waitress who obviously had just started had no idea about what was going on. We spent a lot of money all week between the RV spot, camp store, and our pool/bar tab ... Patricia that waited on us at the pool bar happened to be here tonight at the Fins bar. She definitely needs to be moved into management and quickly before they lose more customers. She knows what customer service is all about. Margaritaville Crystal Breach.... You need to take a hard look at what is really going on here. For anyone new coming to stay here... literally don't waste your time. There are too many other places that you can stay and go for a lot less than what we paid all week. Do better Margaritaville. There was a concert happening on the lawn just outside the restaurant so it was loud but inside the restaurant, it wasn't too bad. Great drink selections here and excellent food. Thanks Monica for your incredible recommendation of subbing dirty rice for the penne pasta on the Cajun chicken pasta and adding shrimp! This dish was so good!! Looking for a great time, Fins is where it's at! The parking lot is a little far away but not too bad. The golf cart parking though is right up front. read more

We were sat quickly (we had a reservation) but unfortunately it was in an extremely cold section upstairs. It appeared to be overflow space due to it being a busy concert night. Our food was good but it took way too long to get it. Same with our drinks. We also had to get up and get our own utensils and extra plates from a waitress station because our server would forget and then disappear. Sadly, I didn't notice they charged me automatic gratuity and I also added a tip. My fault for not checking. read more

We pulled into park , and the gentleman offered us to drive us up in the golf cart to the restaurant which was great cause it's a good little walk if you park where the parking is at . Seafood platter - very fulfilling , coconut shrimp was great ! Fried fish was bland nothing to brag about , hush puppies really didn't kick as it says jalapeño hush puppies nothing was spicy about them , regular fried shrimp I mean it's just fried shrimp nothing out of this world . 2.grilled fish tacos - presentation was great ! they were tasty ! Everything was smooth and gelled well together . Nothing to say bang! But they were good enough to enjoy 3. Texas wagyu dog - presentation looked very fulfilling and delicious, but wasn't . Comes with grilled onions , jalapeños, and creole mustard . The creole mustard kills this delicious hot dog by far . The creole mustard just makes this hot dog bitter tasting and conflicts with all other Ingredients within this hot dog .. now if your a creole mustard fan than you'll like it but it's very strong tasting and it just doesn't connect with all other Ingredients within the hot dog . Overall enjoyed my visit to this place as it just packs a punch ! Has many more things to do there with family and kids ! Fishing , overnight rv camping , sports and more ! Ben's has a lovely beach ambience. We've eaten there several times and the food has been good. Very good service as well.

Driving up to this house lace I was hopeful that they would serve up some awesome food. The restaurant is at an RV park, and there really is no other restaurant to compete with, if you want to go out , this is it unless you want to drive a ways. The building is nice, well taken care of, looks out over the ocean and it's n the summer this looks like THE place to hang out. The waitress and staff were super helpful and nice. The table we were at was clean but the floor was soooooo sticky! Yuck. There were quite a few seafood options, as there should be. I got the grilled shrimp and was not impressed. It was just meh. Although I didn't try my friend's coconut shrimp and that was so much better! It was expensive and honestly, I think I would head somewhere else if you are going just on the food. If it's the summer and you're looking for an awesome hang out, well, I guess I would come. Just don't expect over the top flavor. read more

Meh. We are camping at Camp Margaritaville where Fins is located. We attempted to eat here on a Friday afternoon, but no one waited on us, so we left. We came back on Tuesday and sat at the bar. Service was much better. We ordered three appetizers, hummus, chips and queso, and pepperoni pizza. They weren't terrible, even with happy hour pricing, still pretty expensive. Came another night to listen to live music and we paid $14 for a green tea shot. $13 for margaritas. The michelob ultra was $4 for happy hour, otherwise $7. Margaritas are way too sweet. In my opinion this is the BEST restaurant on the peninsula! We had Sharon as our server and she was great, funny yet professional. The restaurant is very clean and well kept with a nice beachy vibe. I got the pretzel appetizer and the coconut shrimp and both were absolutely amazing! If you like sweet margaritas, get the watermelon one on the rocks. If you like stronger, more citrusy margaritas, get the "perfect" one on the rocks. Both were really good! read more
