I just paid $230 with a $35 off coupon for an oil change and cabin filter replacement. That is extremely over-priced. To add insult to injury, they no longer vacuum nor clean all of the vehicle windows. Instead, they cleaned only the driver's side of the windshield. How disappointing and careless... Additionally, I was told by the technician that diesel oil goes black as soon as the engine is started. Mine apparently did just that, in the time it took them to drive my truck out of the shop. I will have to look this up. It seems unlikely. read more

They tried to get me to do a lot of extra work. When I took the car to my mechanic, he said it was not necessary at all. They over-filled my tires. The took the air filter out to show me how dirty it was and when I said I did not want it replaced, they put it in upside down. They told me I needed new wipers, but I had them replaced less than a month before. I will never go to another Jiffy Lube. read more

Jiffy Lube is great! I got my oil changed and a week later my car broke down. I was worried maybe they missed a step, but they let me tow the car to them so they could check their work! They were fast, and even did extra research to help me solve the problem. Ultimately, my breakdown was unrelated to the service, but they still went above and beyond to help me figure out my problem! Check-in was prompt and waiting time for repairs is minimal. I also had my windshield wipers replaced as suggested by the representative due to one of them not working properly. I stopped in today to get a yearly vehicle inspection that Uber requires. An employee proceeded with the inspection. Upon completion, I was informed that everything passed , for the exception of one of pair of running/fog lights needed replacing, and therefor not passing inspection. I looked at the form Uber supplied, and there was no mention of these lights. Head and tail lights, along with brake lights and turn signals need be working properly. I asked to talk with the mgr on duty, regarding the form. First of all, when he came out, he didn't introduce himself, or ask what I can help you with... instead he abruptly told me that he didn't care what the form indicated, which is the same form he has access to, he would not be willing to compromise. The employee that first inspected my vehicle said that they could replace the bulb for an extra charge, however, the manager's reply was "there a many other places I can go to, and should" I took his advise and went to Pep boys. There I received the friendly service and the passed inspection I needed. Jiffy lube needs to train their managers to be service oriented with compassion. I can only hope that this particular manager finds himself in a similar situation, and is treating the way I was today. That would be karma at its finest. I am very frustrated with my experience here. I came for a full synthetic oil change, I watched from the window and ALL they did was pour in new oil I did not see any thing else other than that. They didn't seem to pay attention to anything to care , even when I asked them to double check. I also had to have my filters changed and they were out of stock of both. Very inconvenient and frustrating. Then I asked them to rotate my tires and check them , make sure everything was good because my light was on. They checked them as all good with out even looking ! This is the most frustrating part because the next day I got a nail in the tire, tire shop tells me my one tire was completely worn with no tread on the inside. So not only did I have to get a tow but also buy a new tire. This would have been taken care of had they actually checked my tires like they said considering my light was on. This is a huge safety issue and I'm still pretty upset about it. It could've been fixed and a new tire before the issue occurred. So my $90 oil change ended up costing a lot more. I'm not saying the flat tire was their fault but it definitely would not have been as serious had I known and replaced the tire before hand. read more

I truly feel bad for the employees who work here, because they really try to sell you hard. When they can tell you know what's up, they have to keep going but do so awkwardly because I think they'll get in trouble if they don't go through the whole spiel. I have been going to this Jiffy Lube location, but not any more. I went there again today, as I did a couple of days ago, and I was told pretty much the same thing. It would be 45 minutes until they could get to my vehicle. This time it was a truck in front of mine which required a tire rotation. 45 minutes for a tire rotation? And of all places, they were doing this rotation in the oil change station? Why, when they have the proper equipment back among the bays in back. I guess my concern became not only the wait, but if I'm going to pay over $100 for an oil change, I would like to know that they have the ability to rotate tires in less than 45 minutes, especially with 3 guys hanging around... read more

Typical oil change place, they gouge you on the prices then offer you coupons to up sell you on additional products to make it more affordable... I do dig the waiting room tho, you can watch the techs work on the car right in front of you.. But 64.99 for a oil change.. ouch.. I drive a 2017 Ford Focus and they couldn't even get my air filter out of the box without ripping it out and bending the air filter in the process. If my car wasn't such a pain in the ass to do an oil change on u would just do it my self but the under carriage is a pain in the neck... Now the last thing is the oil change, they said my car was at ZERO read and that I was basically out of oil.... I tried to explain to them that on the Ford 2.7 ecoboost you need to wait 10-15 mins for the oil to go back to the pan but they said that was irrelevant.. Lol but it says it in the manual... anyways he was pushing this 24.99 additive to keep my car with 10k miles on it from burning all its oil.. I just explained to the person helping me that I stopped going to the other location, because they forgot to put windshield washer fluid last visit. I went back and they put water in the reservoir. Too cheap to put in real fluid. Well, last Friday I went in for service here and explained why I no longer use the other location. If they forget something as simple as windshield washer fluid, are they really paying attention? Wouldn't you know it. After my service here Friday. Charls was super helpful did a free scan and noticed the truck was misfiring this was way beyond the normal type of service you except at a oil change shop. I started a yelp just to talk about my positive experiences at places like this one! This Jiffy Lube treated me with the best service I've been treated at anywhere else in the automotive industry. they are trustworthy and take responsibility and are accountable. I came in for a simple oil change they asked me if I wanted to check my battery terminal, for some reason long story short that battery check resulted in alternator failure. I was devastated. It was going to set me back for sure to go from oil change to alternator replacement. especially because they had no idea why that would happen and I had had no alternator issues until that point. Fortunately WAYNE ( excellent service) and his regional manager we're kind enough to take responsibility for the fact that the failure happened at their facility, and replaced my alternator free of charge and got me back on the road with just a couple of hours of wait time. They truly took care of me as a customer and I honestly can't thank them enough for the great service and customer care given by this facility. Id give them 10 stars if I could. A little slow on the paperwork. I came in for an Uber inspection and had to wait 30+ minutes after they were done inspecting the car for the paperwork to finish. Also,, at first, they wanted to charge me for another inspection after I had changed a few lightbulbs that were out instead of just keeping the work order open. Jiffy Lube helped me out when I was in a jam with my battery (dead) and a bracket repair that was needed. They got me in and out withing about hour and half....which included replacing the battery, replacing the bracket that got corroded and an oil change! The only one thing I would note is they didn't turn off my "Maintenance Needed" light that comes on when I need an oil change - I need to go back and ask them to get that to turn off - it's annoying. It's not every day that I get excited about an oil change station but Greg and his team at the Fair Oaks Jiffy Lube are awesome! I am not from Carmichael but got directed here after the Jiffy Lube that was closest to my home had a 2 hour wait. Thank goodness. The facility is clean. The lobby is clean. There is a Keurig and a little fridge with some small bottles of water. TV with some relevant news not just some trash talk shows playing. There even is a "bar" where you can sit and watch them work and an outlet for your computer with 2 USBs per outlet for your phone! Greg was super patient. Explained the services and then took the time to compare my manufacture recommendations with what they offered. He was never pushy. He explained what recommended and needed and what could wait and offered me the promotions that he currently had. After we agreed on a service plan his team got to work. They were very efficient and respectful to the vehicle. They put covers of the seat and steering wheels and protectors next to the front quarter panel. They washed the windows and vacuumed the car while the service was performed. After their assessment, Sebastian walked over to review what they found and if there any deviations from the initial estimate and whether I wanted the additional services. Again not pushy but simply explained the condition and allowed me to choose. I was in and out in a "jiffy." After I got home I actually found out that I had a Jiffy Lube gift card that I forgot to bring. I called Greg and he spent some extra time on the phone to help me use my gift card and credit my purchase. These guys rock. I live in San Jose but I travel to Sacramento often. The next time my car needs service I will wait until I am in Sacramento and drive out of my way to Carmichael to use this station and have my service with Greg and his crew. I am a small business owner myself so I know great customer service when I see it and I know how hard it is to deliver great customer service consistently. Very impressed! BTW. I too had low coolant which they said cost $3 and when I picked my car up they showed me the level which was in fact low (I declined because I have come at home). read more

Last summer I had to make a sad journey. My mom had passed away, and I had to drive mom and dad's ashes to Washington for final interment. When I brought my old Volkswagen bus into this Jiffy Lube to service it for the trip (and the staff learned where I was going, and why) they swarmed all over the situation. They went out and found specific oil for my car, fixed a tail light, and generally made sure that my VW would make the thousand mile trek. They all expressed their condolences. I was moved by the experience. I returned many months later with my Mini Cooper, and Greg (the manager) remembered me, and expressed his hope that my journey with mom and dad was successful. I tried calling for a quote and told them I knew what kind of filter and oil my car needed because I can't take my car just anywhere so I need to know that they have everything I need before I go in. They kept telling me that they couldn't quote me anything or even if they had my filter in stock. I offered up the information and they said bring it in and they'll tell me how much when I have to pay. Yea, no. I asked them of they worked on Volvos and they asked me of that was an American car.
