Took my car in with an appointment for a brake fluid change. The work was done in a timely fashion and seems correct, but when I arrived I was ignored by the entire crew until I flagged someone down. I then learned the facility is split up in two buildings, one for the quick/no appointment oil change and the other building for services requiring an appointment, like mine. Why didn't anyone explain this when I called for the appointment. Frustrating and a waste of time. Do better!!! Time equals money and wasting either due to a lack of communication, is unforgivable. read more

Does anybody know a shop that can repair an oil leak? Because this shop couldn't. I took it in for an inspection for the oil leak. They said it was the gasket cover seal and a $200 one hour job. An hour later I come back and it's still in the shop so I wait another half hour. I noticed that my car was finished but nobody came out so I rang the bell and they checked me out. I left assuming that the leak was fixed and that they had put more oil in my car. But when I got home I noticed that it was completely empty. So I put about 4 quarts in. Just a couple days later oil is still leaking all over my driveway and I had to add another two quarts. I was assuming that an oil change shop could fix an oil leak but I guess not. read more

I got my oil changed here once before and the next time decided to do it myself well come to find out a filter was never put in my car, I had a 2014 Camry which if you know has the cup like filter where you drop the filter inside, there was nothing inside. Since then I always do my oil changes but if you can't don't let this place do it either. Funny thing is I had bad vibes sitting there waiting for my car. You gotta remember it's not rocket science so the same oil "technician" is the same guy who can change a tire or flip a burger. read more

I have two SUVs and this week I took on to Jiffy Lube on Olson Dr in RC and the other to Pep Boys on Folsom in RC. The experience couldn't be more different. The staff at Jiffy Lube were total professionals, had clear communication, did a thorough inspection and got the job done ahead of schedule. It couldn't have been a more perfect experience. The staff at Pep Boys were just the opposite, they booked the appointment incorrectly, they beat around the bush about getting it done on schedule when they clearly knew they could not meet the deadline they had promised. They were rude, had abysmal communication skills and one employee even raised his voice at me which was completely unwarranted as I was very polite and not demanding in any way. Jiffy Lube wins and will get my business from now on. I'll never go back to Pep Boys ever again. read more

Took my 2016 Toyota Camry in for an oil change. I was in and out in less than 20 minutes. I've even waited in the vehicle while they changed my oil, top off all the fluids. They inspected my lights, tires, filter and cabin filter. They also offered to vacuum my car. My experience here is phenomenal! I Will definitely be coming back again! I left a picture of the wrench that was left on my differential This mistake could have yielded devastating results. I have a 45 minute commute home that includes speed bumps, and high speeds. When I called to let them know a wrench was still sticking out of my car the manager seemed to circumvent the issue and underplay it like it wasn't a big deal at all. I go back and the manager is like "oh yeah it's fine. Okay well have a nice day." I shouldn't have even had to pay $120 the LEAST they could have done was offered a discounted rate. I am very impressed with the ease and swiftness of the service provided at this Jiffy Lube. I used to have an independent car guy who would fix anything on my Ford Cmax, until he retired. So for the last few oil changes, I've been going to my tire shop or the Ford dealership. Both places would do their best to try and oversell me on everything (I'm a woman and they think I don't know anything about cars). This was my first time to any Jiffy Lube, so I didn't really know what to expect. "Jiffy" is an accurate description of the speed of their oil changes. I didn't need an appointment and was able to get done in less than an hour! That's miraculous! At both the tire shop and Ford I'd need an appointment and it would still take half the day to get my car's oil changed! The price was the same as anywhere - oil changes are always going to be pricey when you can't change the oil yourself. I needed a new cabin air filter, which I probably could have changed myself, but I know I'd never actually get around to doing it. Thanks Ari (and the other gentleman whose name tag I didn't see)! Every mechanic that spoke with me was courteous, professional, and didn't treat me like some dumb chick. I didn't feel pressured to buy anything I didn't need. And, as a bonus for someone who likes to watch the work being done on her car, I was able to sit in the driver's seat the whole time and ask questions. It was a fun experience. This location has taken care of my car since I bought it 2 years ago and I have had any problems they couldn't fix promptly. Last year I bought tires from them (free tire rotations with oil changes) and I had a faulty tire stem. I called them up and the manager at the time, James, told me to come in when available. Fermin took at look as I arrived and replaced it for free. Last week, they were able to fit me in same day for new brakes and rear rotors. I didn't know they offered free concierge via Lyft.... So I was able to go back to work and return to the shop end of the day to pick up my car. I did an oil change and tire rotation. Was told the rear driver brake pad needed to be replaced because it was at .5 mm. Other brake pads were fine. 6-8mm. Was told the rear driver needed to be replaced asap, which for a pair of brake pads would be $200-300. My car is 2 years old and 30k miles. The analysis didn't make sense. I got a second opinion from the Carmichael jiffy lube and they confirmed the rear driver brake pad was fine at 7mm. The lack of analysis here wasted my time and would've cost me an unnecessary brake pad replacement. I don't trust this shop. read more

I waited about 45 min for a oil change. When I pulled up it was one car in front of me. Once I finally got the oil change and leaving I had already been there for a hour and 30 min. I was on my lunch break and was late back to work. If I would have known a simple oil change would take this long I would have drove 18 min to the speedee oil change in fair oaks. I get that they do the inspection that's awesome but when someone asks for a quick fix that's kinda what's expected. My uncle could flush oil, put new oil in and charge it all in 20-30 min tops. I don't usually do this, but there are those times when I feel it warranted. I got in the car early this morning and saw the check engine light was on. I checked the oil, added some and still the light was on. Took it to the Jiffy Lube in Rancho Cordova where I took it last month for routine service. They were great! They drained most of the oil I had added (don't check oil in the dark by flashlight), checked for leaks, then ran a diagnostic and they cursed light vanished. They were awesome, good people. I went in on Saturday to get my oil changed and my blinker had gone out. I left, noting that it hadn't been vacuumed, but no big deal. Maybe they don't do it any more. (It's on my receipt though, marked completed.) A bit later, went to make a turn and my dashboard blinker is fast when it is out and it was still doing that. Checked it and it was still out. Went back this morning and was told I could hop back in line with their 2 hour wait and they would look at it. For service I already paid for and was already done incorrectly, that's my option. I took my Honda Civic for an oil change/tore rotation. A week or 2 after my service, I started hearing the bottom of my car scarping against the road while driving over speed bumps, and over/out of driveways. As I looked under my car, it was clear that the skid plate was falling off. I took my car to the Honda dealership and My initial assumption was right. They confirmed that the skid plate wasn't bolted on after the jiffy lube service. They never screwed the skid plate back on after removing it. My skid plate was damaged from scraping against the road, bumps and driveways. I'm stuck paying for one ($250 or so) Never going here again read more

The customer service is good, but the car service is not good. One of the techs spilled oil all over my motor, which took awhile for them to clean up. I also received a tire rotation, and now my back left tire makes a really loud squeaking noise, so I have to get that looked at again, when it should've been done right the first time, I'm paying then to fix my car, I'm not paying them to make my car worse. PRICE: Surprisingly not cheap. I came here because I thought that as a chain, it'd be more affordable. With labor/tax, it was about $50 for the cheapest conventional oil change option. DEALS: There are coupons online. Search "Jiffy Lube Coupons." The only one applicable to my purchase was $5 off but hey, still helps. If you check in on Yelp, you can get $10 off a Pennzoil oil change. These are more expensive to start so it's actually not the cheapest option in the end. WAIT TIME: I came here on my lunch break (1 hour). The JF is about 5 minutes away from my job. It took up my entire break and I got back with just a couple minutes to spare. I didn't have to wait in line when I got there btw. Not the fastest service but also reasonable. Btw, this is the type of place where you get out of the car and wait in a room as opposed to remaining in the car. STAFF: Friendly and professional. I went in for an oil change. That also recommended the transmission fluid, wipers, air filter and spark plugs. I only got the spark plugs. FYI I have a Prius 2 eco. The blithering pillock who was in charge of parts thought that I drove a Prius c. I sat an extra 20 minutes waiting for them to find the right spark plugs.
