Thoroughly disgusting. Like Chinese food made out of stale leftovers by a college kid who never ate it before Real swill. Mushy beef with grossly slathered in some red sugary sauce which somehow has no flavor. Fried rice so drenched in soy sauce that all you taste is salt. $35 straight into the garbage can. I like the place very much but lately I've been having a problem. I love their ribs on the bone, but the last couple of times they have been burning them. It would be nice if they delivered what you ordered. My order was wrong and although it was on Uber, they said they would resend it, however, they said I was too far away. They would give me a store credit, which is nice, but doesn't make the problem, correct go ahead the point of ordering is getting what you order and getting it delivered. read more

More like 3.5 stars. Ordered delivery and it came exactly on time. Food was tasty and the portions were absolutely massive. However, it was very oily. Favorite was the steamed pork dumplings and scallion pancakes. We also had the happy family and sesame tofu. Uber Eats Date: December 5, 2022 I got a bunch of food from Danny's on December 5. I was really looking for eggdrop soup but when I use uber eats to order sometimes I end up ordering extra food to make a certain order amount to get free delivery. Danny's also had some BOGO specials. So I got two pints of egg drop soup, 2 orders of veggie dumplings and one order of eggplant in garlic sauce with vegetable fried rice. The eggdrop soup was good I had one pint, my dad ate one after I bought it home. The vegetable dumplings were good as well but I didn't find any of the good brown dumpling sauce Chinese places usually give you with dumplings. Visited for the first time on a Sunday evening in February. The heavy-set woman was rude, dismissive, and acted like I owed her something. She refused to answer a simple yes-or-no question and ended with a snarky "have a nice day"--in the evening. The attitude was unbearable, and the food was so awful it could make you sick. Last 2 times were underwhelming but gave 1 more chance as an in person pickup to eliminate the delivery cool down. sesame chicken hard and dry. Lomein (they accomodated lomein substitution for rice) tasteless with little to no pork strips. 2 pieces of broccoli. Even their "homemade" mustard was tasteless. Other 2 times I ordered soup and general tso's. The biggest assault was 1 combo plate $16 pickup in store. Wow. Stick with China King on brower. read more

Hot wings were spicy and crispy (would've been crispier if there were holes poked to let out the steam); egg roll; boneless spare ribs; chow fun... included homemade duck sauce, hot oil and mustard. I have ordered food from Oceanside Danny's several times now. The pork dishes are generally okay, but the chicken doesn't seem real to me. It feels like a congealed pressed meat. I threw it out. Wontons in its namesake soup are tasteless. I've given the place many opportunities, wanting a local place to order from, but honestly, this won't be my place. No more tries for me. read more

sesame chicken used to be pretty good, but now it's no good. The chicken is overcooked, hard and dry. I couldn't even stick a fork in it or swallow a piece for fear that I would choke. When I arrived, I saw them just finishing a fresh batch of chicken and asked if that was the chicken they were going to use to make my order, They said yes but it didn't matter because it was still dry and hard. My family has ordered from Danny's Chinese Kitchen in Oceanside 4X since late 2022 and just recently as two days ago. OMG. Delicious, not greasy, fresh, no MSG, perfectly seasoned. What a difference from the Chinese Take-Out places that we have tried locally. It is expensive, but so worth it for not having to cook. I just tried a new Chinese takeout for lunch with the family. Danny's in Syosset. We ordered 3 luncheon specials. Chicken and Broccoli, sesame chicken, and beef chow fun. All 3 meals had hot and sour soups. The soups were average with some kick to it. Very good. The beef chow fun was good. The sesame chicken were large white meat chicken pieces that looked fabulous. All portions were large. The chicken and broccoli was rubbery. The sesame chicken was all rubber and just spit out and thrown away. I guess I will stick to the best and most expensive.
