Now .... I am originally from NJ. I've had pizza from NJ and NY my whole life. So basically I am a pizza snob ‍ I have been telling everyone about Danny's since I've had it. It's that amazing . I feel like every time I eat pizza from dannys I am in NJ/NY!! I love the white pie ! Margarita pie ! Grandma pie ! Eggplant parm pie! Sicilian ! I tried to call but couldn't get through because they were so busy, so we ended up going inside. The staff were super friendly and accommodating. Danny apologized for all 4 of the lines being busy and gave us a certificate for a free pie! Our first few pizza's were the best from Danny's. My hubs is from Brooklyn and I'm from Queens. We know good pizza. We ordered dinner there one night, I ordered the chicken marsala and it was almost good. Ok, we decided we will just order pizza from here. Last week, we ordered a pizza and the flavor of the dough was oddly sour, with an odd texture. The pizza was barely halfway covered with tomato sauce and the cheese didn't even measure up, was on the skimpy side. I had one slice and didn't say a word to my husband as he ran down to Danny's and just got back. After a few hours, I asked, did he go to the correct restaurant? He asked what was wrong. I explained the above. He concurred with my experience. He barely ate a slice himself and we threw out the pie. We had to go out of town the next day and wouldn't be able to return in a reasonable amount of time to complain, anyway, the garbage men already took away the pie. One other issue, is that when you go there and order a pizza, you are given a slip. Collect 10 slips and you get a free pie, well, hubs didn't receive his slip either. We had such high hopes for this restaurant, but they failed us miserably. This pie was worse than any No Frills frozen pies we could ever imagine. We are back to Scatori's for a nice slice of pizza. We ordered Danny's because our regular place was closed. We ordered the Margherita and the White cheese. The Margherita was actually very good, but the white, not so much. Both were a good size , but the dough was a little chewier than I am used to. The white had way to much spots of ricotta and it was pretty thick spots.. I am sure some people like it like that, but not us. If in the neighborhood, might give it another shot. read more

We stop at Danny's almost every time we are in Town visiting my Mom. Their pizza is excellent and the rolls are also very good. Can't really find anything negative to say about this place, good pizza and sandwiches and good service. read more

Have gotten take-out twice: both times it was great. Authentic NY pizza. The upside pie is reminiscent of Bensonhurst's L&B's pizza. Their rice balls are perfect. On Fridays and Saturdays, try the zeppoles. read more

I have tried nearly every pizza joint in the inlet and most in myrtle beach and I still find myself coming to Danny's to to get that fix. The margarita pizza is fantastic. I had to give this place only 3 stars for several reasons. Let me say first, the pizza was fantastic. Every bite was delicious. We also ordered garlic knots. These things were so small I couldn't see the knot. Also they had no taste and they were hard. No big deal they were $2.00. However, I also ordered the tomato/mozzarella caprese salad. For $7.99 the mozzarella cheese was OLD. So old it was breaking apart and looked nothing like the picture on the menu. Oh well, lesson learned!! read more

Best pizza in SC I've had to date. I've been going here since it opened, and only had ONE pizza I wasn't thrilled with - if you frequent some place often, it's going to happen from time to time, that's life. Every other time has been amazing, the staff are helpful and yes it's busy - but I'll take the wait over the other "pizza" down here. New York born and bred and it's been hard living without good pizza - so glad Danny's delivered! My only complaint was the tiramisu - it was frozen and I couldn't eat it. How do you serve frozen tiramisu? If you're looking for pizza - this is where it's at! read more

We rarely ever spend money eating out. It's low priority when I can cook so much cheaper. Then Danny's entered my life... I'm glad I kept putting off the first visit because after that I think we were there three times in two weeks. Now I try to keep it to once a week. The pizza is always good and hot! It gets busy and cramped so go early. Pasta dishes also look good but we've not tried them yet.

Tried to give this place a second chance it's it's locally owned. First experience wasn't great and second didn't help the want or need to ever go back. I placed my order and waited. While yes they are very busy I knew I'd have some wait time. However after 40mins I checked and they didn't even have the ticket to make our food. I was told they where backed up because of people coming in and sitting. However I ordered when there were 5 tables available so I'm not taking that excuse. We get our food home. My husbands was wrong and my meat was bad like had been sitting out of date. Only thing that was good was my 2 years pasta and meat sauce. read more

Tried it... uh, no more We went in and waited for order to see inside. A lot of pre-made items sitting to be reheated. My hubby's pie was under cooked as their oven does not reach heat temp that we are used to in Manhattan or Boston AND the man forgot the sausage on his pizza. Big disappointment The chic answering phones was distracted when handing money at check out she was overwhelmed and we had to tell her Four Times to heat up my slice not to bag it cold as she kept trying to pack it up. I ordered spaghetti delivery on Thursday Evening. Could not eat it all, thank God. Thought I would have it again on the following night. Instead, I was violently ill with food poisoning on Friday through Sunday. Threw out my leftovers and this establishment has heard the last from me. Every now and then I get a craving for spaghetti - this is not the first time this restaurant has made me sick. This time was the most violent; however, never again. Fantastic pizza and very friendly people. Authentic NY style pizza with a quaint dining option. While visiting we checked the menu online and ordered 2 18" pizzas plus an order of wings. Highly recommend the BBQ Chicken pizza and wings. The prices were extremely fair and the time to cook the pizza was under 20 minutes. Highly recommended for a post beach adventure.
