Today, we decided to bite the bullet and head out to stores that claimed to carry Speed Queen. Best Buy lists them on their website but have none in inventory. You'd have to order them and wait for delivery -- one to 2 months. Same with Home Depot. But, Ken and Kerrie's had a set in stock -- they were actually less expensive since they didn't charge for hauling away the old set and included hook-ups. But best of all -- they delivered the set to our home three hours after we swiped the credit card. Tonya handled the transaction and was so pleasant and extremely helpful. She warned us that the Fruitland Park stored doesn't service the machines but -- that's no difference from Big Box stores. We bought a washing machine and dryer, had it delivered and installed and I'm already on my third load of wash -- all in less than seven hours. As a sidenote, the last time we ordered an appliance from Lowe's, the company set up a delivery date -- and did not deliver -- THREE times over the course of two weeks. Our experience with Ken and Kerrie's (and Tonya along with the pleasant deliverymen) is ... pinch us... we can't believe what a smooth transaction this was!

It has lasted a couple months and now it isn't working right. It keeps spinning. When I spoke with the owner she told me to contact Speed Queen directly. They don't answer the phone. I went to their website and searched for local places to repair this machine since it's under warantee. Only one place will service our area and they can't come out for almost 2 weeks. Their driver/repair person only comes to our area every so often. I just called the store asking for help and spoke with someone who was very rude. It wasn't the owner. She told me to contact Speed Queen even though I told her nobody is there to help. She is unwilling to help me. They made their money on this sale and don't care about helping me now.

Called this morning to let them know we already had a warranty issue. Was told that we could bring the back of the chair into the store and they'd replace it with the one ON THE FLOOR! Decided to just return both since their customer service is so terrible. Thank goodness we did because if we'd waited until tomorrow they would have charged us a 25% restocking fee to get a refund! And if we'd waited till the fourth day we wouldn't have had any recourse at all. Prices are high, customer service is terrible and their return policy is ridiculous. Don't waste your money or your time!
