We've been taking our Silverado here for five+ years. Always professional, always timely with the service, always feel that we have been fairly treated. Would definitely recommend to anyone. They help us remember the care for our vehicle by emailing reminders of services that needs to be performed, they are aware when it's time for our tags on this vehicle and the possible need for a smog and will send a coupon for the service. DAN THE SCAM!!! Buyers beware! Got gas on Monday (memorial day) and noticed my car didn't feel the same after buying a full tank of gas (91 octane) at dans Mobil first I thought maybe something was wrong with my fuel pump and I took it apart and at the same time took a sample of the gas I had just bought from my tank and tested it turns out it gave me 89 octane instead of 91 for the price of 91... my car takes premium fuel only and that's why it wasn't running right it beyond disgusted that anyone would do such a thing...lesson learned DONT BUY GAS FROM A PLACE THAT ALSO FIXES CARS!! Shady business going on I'd be hesitant to buy gas there again let alone let them fix my car. read more

These guys are Great. I've taken my cars here for years to have them smogged they've done right by me and always send me follow up emails and discount coupons! They even send oil change reminders and other maintenance reminders. My Old (1989 Suburban) didn't pass smog. Wayne took the time to give ALL of the possible outcomes - and most of them were sad! In the end the Suburban prevailed and will be on the road for many years to come. The cost of parts and repairs were reasonable. Catalytic Converters wear out and cost $$ to replace. These guy are great. It's tough to find people to trust to repair your car when you can't. read more

Came to Dan's mobile because my car went out on the freeway, was referred by AAA to Dan's, I had to get my alternator replaced. Dan got it done in a couple hours his price beat out pep boys in Firestone auto care complete. Also what's good about Dan's is they're open 24 hours so you can come pick up your car at any time from the store clerk. read more

I was very fortunate to find Dan and his station. I needed new tires, new brakes and an alignment for my Toyota Avalon. I got estimates of $1500.00 to $3,000.00 to do it all. Dan did it much cheaper than others quoted and added an oil change and had it all done in a day. Now I have a reliable place to take my cars when anything is needed and I get my reminders for basic needs such as oil changes. I have been coming here, despite the consistently higher gas prices, for years because of its proximity to my home. The morning guy, Rick or Dan, is outstanding and is always friendly. However the interaction I just had with Stephanie has me fuming. She snapped at me and had such a negative attitude that I'll drive the extra half mile to the next gas station from now on. I've shared my experience with family/ friends. I would recommend that management conduct a refresher course on basic customer service. Until then I'll take my $40 a week elsewhere. read more

I took my car in for a smog check, and dealt with both Tim and Dan. Both guys were great! They worked me in, despite the fact that I had no appointment. My car failed the smog check. The staff at Dan's worked with me to find government funding for the repairs and jumped through all the hoops for me (which includes getting paid months later from the government portion) to make that happen. In the process, Dan's Mobil did additional repairs for me (things I had been told by other shops needed to be done) and the car is running like new! It has 160,000 miles on it, and Dan's revived it so I could keep going a little longer. Service was great, price was reasonable and I felt like I could trust them. read more

AAA Members Be Aware! Very unprofessional and overpriced faulty parts. I took my car to this dealer as a recommendation from AAA regarding a bad starter. It was confirmed by Dan and his team that my starter was bad so a replacement was installed. The car seemed to be fine until I tried turning it on later that night. I had a PROFESSIONAL mechanic look at my car the next day and found out that a bad, re manufactured, starter was installed that cost double the amount of a new starter. When I asked Dan if he was willing to compensate me for the price of the starter he said he would not due to me violating his sketchy insurance policy and by not going through his mechanics. Wouldn't recommend my worse enemy to do business here. read more

I had to have a star station to do a smog on my 97 truck and my husband sent me to this one as he saw some good reviews. My truck passed and the service was quick and efficient and I also had a screw removed from a tire and a plug placed in the hole and that I thought was reasonable but while they were doing this they noticed that it was time for shocks so so I asked and here is why just two stars, they said new shocks would be between $1050.00 and $1500.00 for my truck and I almost fell over in shock and Tim says well were not the cheapest place but our warranty is great. There is a thing that happens between a mechanic and women who come in for service and it's basically this, they think all women have a great big STUPID on their forehead and they can just throw out any price and some dumb chick is just going to pull out the check book and write what ever the guy says because he is all knowing and were dumb right? Wrong Tim! I came home and talked to my husband and we thought that a shock just basically screws on and so my husband went to Auto Zone and bought shocks that have the same warranty (lifetime) as the often pushed big named brand and put them on my truck using a jack and a socket wrench and this took a little under a hour. The old truck drives great and this whole job was done for under a $150.00 including the wrench that was needed. And here's another bit of information that's great, anything that you need to do can be watched on You Tube, they have tutorials on everything and it's free, try it that way first before you pay a fortune for something that should cost a hundred dollars. 10/18/13 I spoke with Dan and he said that I had been misquoted on the price for shocks and that I would not have paid that price if I had bought shocks from him. If you are given a quote on a product and it's a mistake then someone should say oh wait I made a mistake or if you don't know what you are doing you should not give a quote. Dan sounded nice on the phone but the other reviews do not lie so I would be careful with this place. And also if you agree to pay $1500.00 for shocks do you really think they are going to say wait I made a mistake and you really do not owe this or are they going to take the money. I think that if you are fooling enough to agree to it then they are going to charge it and I would not go back here for nothing. read more

Just want to give Dan and his team a big thumbs up, for their outstanding customer service. I broke down in Colton CA, returning from Texas. The first AAA driver towed me to a mechanic nearby who's shop was filthy and there was a bunch of unprofessional people hanging out. I was desperate and asked them to take a look at my car. After a while, they started tacking on charges and advising me that other components needed repair. I was very uneasy and decided to leave that shop in my car (which had no oil) and drive elsewhere. I knew I wasn't suppose to move the car, but that area in Colton was pretty bad. I called AAA again, but this time I insisted on a reputable shop. The AAA driver drove me to Dan's shop and it seemed like an oasis. The moment I got out of the tow truck, I was greeted by a technician who was friendly and reassuring. It was already late in the evening, so the tech said for me to leave the car and Dan would call me in the morning. Dan did call me, we discussed what was wrong with the car and he said he would get right on it. The bottom line is that my car was repaired as stated, I was charged as stated (no funny business), and the entire crew, from Dan, the mechanics and the clerks were as friendly as could be. So if you live in the area, or you break down in the area as I did, I strongly recommend you visit Dan and his team. It is a AAA certified shop too. read more

I have used Dan's Mobil auto repair for years. They are close to home, so it's convenient. I started out using them for smog checks years back and then other repairs as I got to know the staff and took note that they have all been there for many years. They are quick to quote pricing, appointments and time frames. The shop seems very well equipped with high end machinery and tools. In discussing repairs, they are very detailed on the explanation of the repair in question and have made suggestions on other items that should be taken care of well as recommendations for preventative maintenance. Pricing is a bit on the higher scale, but they always recommend using factory parts, which in turn costs a bit more. "I'd rather have a quality new part versus a cheaper version that could lead to repeated returns or reoccurring problems". The shop is attached to a gas station which sells Mobile Gas. There is also an attached mini store that is well stocked with most popular quick to purchase snacks and beverage items, although no lottery sales. The gas station and store is clean and neat and open 24/7 yet the service center is Monday through Saturday. Ask for Dan as he is very personable and knowledgeable. Well recommended. read more

The employee's that I dealt with were friendly and professional. I'm well over 50 and know a little about working on cars. I had a great experience dealing with Dan, Tim and all their workers. IF in fact....this Omakase was really a car owner and had his "Check Engine" light on....maybe........he would have stated that fact before....or was it, Dans Mobile said we'll try and see if we can fix it off of the computer and they spent time trying...I would give Dan's Mobile a 5 Star rating for their professional, honest and friendly way they operate.......I would go there without hesitation to have service work. read more

Do not get your car worked on here, they tried to rip me off for $900 dollars. I had my car towed here because I broke down on the freeway and it was a AAA approved shop. I first met an employee named Jesse who said they were closing but I could leave it overnight and I paid for then to diagnose it. Here's some background on me: I am an 18 year old kid and I drive a 1974 Nova that has maybe seen better days. But, I have been fascinated and working on cars forever, took 2 years of auto shop in high school and enjoy working on cars as a hobby. In short, I know my way around a wrench. I remember I told him at one point: "I'm sorry I'm kind of new to being an adult" this will be important later. Anyway I get a call 3 days from an emoyee named Wayne saying that I need a new starter a bunch of wiring and a new battery and it would cost 500 for parts and 400 for labor. That's strange because a new starter for a small block Chevy costs around $50 and a new battery is around $120 and any good auto shop has lots of wire on standby but it can be bought for extremely cheap. And if that was what was wrong these are routine swaps definitely not worth $400. I denied work and decided to have it towed. When I got there it was obvious that my car hadn't even been moved! Also if they managed to take my starter out, without putting the car on the lift, connect it to a live battery, see if it works and put it back in, then that's some feat. All they did was unnecessarily cut and pull out a bunch of wires, presumably so I couldn't fix it myself. I had it towed home, and the first thing I did was great the battery, which showed %80! That was a straight up lie! Then after I straightened my wiring out, I replaced the ONLY ONE THAT WAS BURNED and my car started right up. Wow. And it only cost me $2.00 of wires from auto zone. In short they judged me as being a young kid that knew nothing about cars and decided they could rip me off. Do not get your car worked on here, because they'll do the same to you too. read more

I actually grew up with Dan's kids in the 90's, but sadly went almost 15 years of driving before taking a car to his shop. Our previous mechanic had really been letting us down, adding seemingly little charges to our initial quote making it balloon by the time we paid. Not here! I had the codes ran on our truck to ensure it wasn't the gas cap, this happens occasionally even with it screwed in tight. Turned out a bad coil was causing a misfire. After seeing Dan's on AAA I gave them a call to see if it was possible to fix today. They said come on over, so I did. Dan reran the codes and agreed, telling me I could pay $130 to have it 100% diagnosed, but he was fairly sure it was just the coil. I decided to save the extra cash and go with it. I was right to trust Dan's judgement! It was just the coil, but he also discovered my spark plugs are terrible! (I paid for new ones in December my old mechanic decided not to give me apparently... ) He told me a new price to replace them all or have the option to do the one with the coil for now, I did the latter, opting to come back in a week to replace the rest. After only three (yes, only three, we're talking mechanics here lol, this would have been a ten hour full day job for my previous shop) hours my truck was running like new, I can only imagine how great it will feel with the others replaced!! The best part, when I paid it was exactly my quote, plus the $20 spark plug, no other surprises! I will be taking my truck here from now on!!! read more
