Does not serve hamburgers ... seriously? Since when does Dairy Queen NOT serve burgers? I am now at Burger King 1 block away.

The restrooms were decent. The dining room clean. The service that I received left a lot to be desired. I ALWAYS get a peanut buster parfait whenever I go to a Dairy Queen so I'm pretty much an expert on its ingredients/composition. Rather than informing me that they were low on fudge and asking if I minded waiting for them to warm some up, my money was taken and I was given the most dry excuse for a peanut buster parfait I have ever been served. I kindly requested a refund and continued my travels to satisfy my craving elsewhere. read more

So we came through on our way home, to get a quick bite.. I know fast food shouldn't expect much.. but the service was the WORST.. we were the first ones in and the last ones out after more groups of people came after us.. mind you I have a 5yr old a toddler with adhd and a baby.. trying to sit and wait patiently as everyone else was served.. we even were asked if we needed something since my bf was standing near the counter waiting... he replied yes.. our food... which also this time waiting for 45min they had put our sundaes out first before the food.. so they were melting on the counter, I guess they eventually put them in the cooler.. instead making fresh ones at least you coulda done.. so we waited again... to then be asked 15mins later by the SAME GIRL, can I help you?... !!!? He replied AGAIN....yes? What.. we've been waiting on our food which I guess they lost because they had no idea what the order was.. accidents happen ok but not one not 2 but 3 times... and couldn't even make fresh sundaes..? I have a 2 star because I hate leaving 1 star.. and the food was hot.. I mean they had just made it after at least 45mintue wait.. at least.. so at least it was hot.. I did order a large 4pc meal and received a 3pice... was the only thing wrong .. rest was fine besides the melted sundae so when I opened it it spilled all over my lap.. but definitely worst experience not fun, having to keep kids calm while waiting for "fast food".. and they were not apologetic or anything.. yes your fast food and young teens working the joint but some form of customer service and care needs to be noted.. read more

Had not been to DQ in over a year but decided to take our 4 dogs on a motorcycle ride and get the a pup cup and blizzards for us. These were the worst blizzards we had ever had. First of all they were runny which they're not supposed to be and secondly they had very few ingredients other than the ice cream and worst of all they were outrageously priced. It was over $14 for 2 small blizzards. To top that off their chocolate machine was down. We used to go there all the time. They used to be really good but now we'll never go there again. read more

food quality was good however the service was terrible. went through drive through ordered chicken tender basket, an extra fries and 2 blizzards. blizzards got out and though they were able to tip it over with no spill it was melting almost immediately. they then asked us to pull up to bring us our food, we waited 15 minutes and saw 4 cars behind us get served. I walked inside to see what's up and my food was sitting on the counter with no one touching it. Stopped in for a few cones after dinner. It took quite a few minutes to be acknowledged, but once helped service was better. The location is small and only three employees working. We wanted to order the creamsicle dipped cones, but were told they only do them seasonally...it must be up here because down in Phoenix they are available all the time. Bummer, but so many other sweet treats are available so I opted for a chocolate dipped cone, my sis a regular cone and dad an orange Julius. Ok saw the add on tv and as usual it's never as good as it looks. What it looks like a large order of fries, I got 11 total fries and 2 onion rings, 2 slices of bread and 6 strips. In my box. Honestly the chicken was good but super dissatisfying and disappointing to pay $47.83 (for 3 6 piece boxes) for 2 small blitz's in total we combined received 41 French Fries 10 Onion rings and 18 chicken tenders. The display shows 16 fries and 5 onion rings 4 tenders with the one box, So if you are hungry go someplace else. After 40 minutes in the drive thru (for three hot dogs and 3 blizzards) they had us wait by the street another 10 minutes. They were out of ketchup (what?!) so we asked for BBQ sauce and when they finally brought us the bag, there was no sauce, but the lady walked away so fast we couldn't get her attention. With two small kids in the car it wasn't as though I could go after her, so.... Never go here. We w as sted almost an entire hour for food that wasn't even good and had no sauce for our fries or hot dogs. Just close. read more

Just Awful. We also like others had to wait and wait and wait for our food. My chili dog was a cheap tiny hotdog with a spoon of chili on it and a itty bit of frys, about 10 fries for 9.99. The blizzards were good but what a rip off. Never again. And the cashier was quite rude. If you do stop, there is NO brazier. In Phoenix we can get a pretty good burger.....but they have no burgers. Stick to the ice and don't go through the drive through. There was NO one else there when we got there and still waited over 15 min! Wish I just would of asked for a refund and gone elsewhere. read more

Worst drive thru experience! Driving for a 6 hour trip and stopped for a QUICK salad, tenders and fries.. not much to put together but they had us sit on the side in our car for nearly 20-30 mins! When my bf went in to check on our food they were barely putting together the bread acting like it's rocket science! Well, one more negative review to add to the collection for this mismanaged poor excuse of a Dairy Queen.. This Dairy Queen is absolutely positively the worst one I have ever been to! The lobby is dirty, the bathrooms are filthy and the employees act like they are going out of their way to fulfill customers orders, they act like they are being forced to be here!? We ordered banana split blizzards with royale fudge like we have several times from this location before (as recently as last week) and we're told by the rude cashier that they don't sell them. As we explained to her (thinking maybe she was new) that we get them here all the time, her manager pipes In saying that they have no way of blending a banana split and she wasn't going to try. Again, we explained to her that we get them here at this location on the regular but she wasn't having it. She already used her authority powers as manager to direct the rude cashier to deny our choice. Another employee stepped in and told us she can make them the cashier had attitude with her and said that they are too watery for the fudge so she couldn't hold them upside down so they aren't making them (how does she know that if they don't sell them and can't make them??? Hmmmmm...) The employee said just sell them the blizzards and pet the fudge in a side container at an extra charge. The manager still standing 10 feet away being no help and talking shit under her breath about us. After eating the blizzards that we settled for the manager and her little click of employees had some social time in the back while two other employees wiped the tables down and stocked the front freezer. There isn't one ounce of professionalism or act of "Fan First Promise" as posted going on here. Someone from Dairy Queen corporate needs to visit this franchise and put their foot in the proprietors ass! Where is Undercover Boss when you need them?? Three out of five times that I have gone to this particular location to order something, they have not had what I wanted in stock even though it was on their menu. Now the dining room is closed and you can only get food through the drive-through, and on top of all that they quit serving any kind of food and only do ice cream. Recently they issued a series of coupons in our area with a bunch of food on it, so we went to the location in our town to order the Items that went with the coupon deals, and they informed us that it is not for our location. This was highly discouraging because we have been anticipating eating the food that went with these coupons for about two weeks! I do not like this location, and I hope it shuts down! I wanted to shout out Trinity. My daughter and I came through Saturday night and the drive thru line was so long. And inside was closed because they were short staffed but even with all of this going on she was working so hard and walked out orders that were done before because it was ice cream. Bye stopping by Dairy Queen For a road trip blizzard or milkshake is a staple in life. The daughter and I decided to get blizzards for the road on the way back down to the valley the other day. What a wonderful attitude and upbeat personality from their drive-thru people. We just left our small town Dairy Queen (11/27/22) we were extremely disappointed with the young blonde girl who waited on us at the drive-thru. My hearing aid wearing husband repeatedly asked her what she said. She never raised her voice. I had to repeat everything she said. This is extremely rude to a hearing impaired person of any age. Went to this DQ today. Only drive thru open because of staffing shortage. No problem! I get that! BUT, we ordered 2 drumstick and peanut blizzards. The order in front of us took probably 15 minutes to fill. Instead of making us fresh blizzards they gave us half melted ones. We pulled over just up the road to eat them only to discover they weren't even drumstick and peanut blizzards but instead they had given us heath bar blizzards. This is obviously a Dairy Queen that has been around for awhile, and is still used by many. This caused the missing star. It needs a bit of polishing on it. The speed was quick, and the hospitality of the employees was fantastic. They weren't that busy, but the gentleman brought us our food rather than shouting it out, and there were a few elderly women having a girls lunch date a few tables away and helped walk their sundaes to them. Stopped by on the way out of town. My wife is pregnant so ice cream seems to do it. The service seemed to be a little slow, but in my experience, most dairy queens are. That is not a dig, they just have a lot to do to get your order out. Food is ok, but no one really comes here for that. It's all about that soft serve. read more

This is not your normal DQ-if you go on a weekend, I'd guess nearly 90% of the customers are visitors to Payson. This makes for some very interesting conversations while you're eating your blizzard. Other than that, it's a DQ-what can I say? Maybe that since it's packed every weekend, they never really have time to clean the lobby? Maybe that it looks a little worn around the edges? Have tried this place a few years back and said I would never go back to such a dirty place. I tried it again thinking they might have changed. WRONG! The young lady mopping the floor reluctantly stopped and ask if she could help. 1 cone 1 smoothie...she preceded to start making the smoothie without even washing her hands! My husband is a heart transplant patient so I watch pretty closely. I ask are you going to wash your hands?.... She puts down the banana and says "Yes ma"am" goes to the back comes back out uses sanitizer then gloves. Mean time young man walks in with a small purse with meds and ask if she would give it to ? she proceeds to tell him you need to wait. This place needs to close. RUDE and DIRTY. read more

What a great spot! We stopped for lunch but to our surprise and excitement, this place has TONS of ice cream! They have a thing called a "blizzard" and I got one. But here's where things got crazy. When the girl handed me the blizzard treat, she Handed it to me UPSIDE DOWN! I jumped forward to try to stop a mess but it just stayed there in the cup, even though it was upside down!! I couldn't believe it. I've tried it at home since and it does not work. Must be something in that dry air in Arizona! Anyway it was very good. The chicken was amazing. So good I wonder if it's locally sourced?
