new restaurant about 5 mins from my apartment and wow definitely a banger of a place. very clean and definitely gives an LA vibe of a spot. good music and i love that they had heaters all throughout the outside patio. i had the chipotle chicken pasta and it was amazing. my drink was also super refreshing. my date had the steak and veggies and they said it was super flavorful. will definitely be coming back. service was also a 10. read more

Simply delightful. The food was beyond delicious. Fresh, perfectly cooked, and seasoned. The staff is attentive and welcoming. Our server, Nathan, was informative and straight to the point! My kind of server. He checked in with us frequently and let us know when something was taking longer than usual. Welcoming ambiance with impeccable taste in decor. probably a place you would need a reservation during the weekend because came on a thursday night and the entire parking lot was full. came for a birthday and we were very well attended. the ambiance in there is very chill but also nice and classy, loved the color scheme they have going on; feels retro. plates are pricey but also good portions. ordered the ahi tuna salad and it was very fresh and fulfilling but also a light dinner. wish they had more vegan options, the only thing i saw was the boring olive oil pasta but passed on it. ordered some mixed drinks and they were strong! which is a good thing because off one you're good. they brought the bday boy a complimentary birthday cake slice which was nice. all in all, would love to come again if the menu was tweaked a bit but would even come just for the drinks alone. read more

Myself and my wife have been here a total of 3 times now. Prior to our most recent visit (08/13) for her birthday, we had nothing but rave reviews for all of our friends and family. After ordering cocktails I got their version of a jungle bird, it seemed short and a slightly different color than normal. Because it was busy I didn't see our server again for another 20-25 minutes to let her know something seemed off with it. Once she finally came back I informed her that it wasn't quite right and seemed like it was missing pineapple juice she offered to take it back no problem. She then comes back rather quickly stating that the bartender told her if they remake it it will just come out the same! I was dumbfounded at this response ( not from the server, but from the bartender ). I understand that craft cocktails at a high volume can get difficult but to send a message to a customer that their concerns don't matter because it was correct is wild to me. After I collected myself I just asked her to have them remake it and after it came back, VOILA! It was made the right way, the second time As an industry manager, I was upset that instead of trying to fix a problem or even just admit something was wrong the bartender went out of their way to tell us we were the ones that were wrong! Really unfortunate that that interaction soured the rest of the experience for the rest of our group for my wife's bday, otherwise the service was good and the food was incredible! We definitely want to return but have my doubts after that. read more

Dapper was good but not great. The fish was cooked perfect and the sauce amazing but they paired it with potatoes and that threw off the dish. The steak was also cooked perfectly but the mushroom sauce was way too salty. The poke nachos had fresh ingredients and all individual parts tasted good but they put on too much sauce and the ingredients together didn't blend well (the sauce and cucumbers really didn't go well together). I do want to try again in a couple months. read more

The restaurant was packed, and it actually surprised me because I don't usually see that many people at restaurants in Riverside. The energy inside felt lively but still comfortable. One of my favorite parts was the fresh tortillas. They come out hot and fresh from the oven, and you can literally watch them being made right in front of you, which made it even better. And the best part is they're free. We ordered the carne fajitas and chile relleno. The fajitas were incredible, the meat was juicy, tender, and packed with flavor, with that perfect smoky sear that comes from being cooked fresh on a hot skillet. Everything came out sizzling and stayed flavorful with every bite. The chile relleno was also really good, with a nice balance of savory and slightly creamy filling that paired well with the sauce. It was actually my first time trying fajitas, and I can confidently say I'll be ordering them again the next time I come back. I definitely plan on returning while I'm still at UCR to make up for all the years I didn't know this place existed.

We had made a reservation and were seated immediately--a seamless process that reflected the staff's professionalism and attention to detail. Design & Atmosphere: The interior is truly breathtaking. Dapper Dine is tastefully curated with a sophisticated yet inviting design aesthetic. The black and white tiled flooring brings a classic touch, beautifully contrasted with muted gold fixtures that add a subtle glam. We visited Dapper last week without a reservation and were quoted a 60 to 90 minute wait. To our surprise (and delight), we were seated in just under 30 minutes. We were given an outdoor table, and the ambiance was lovely - perfect for a relaxed date night. We started off with drinks: the spicy margarita was fantastic, well balanced with just the right kick. The espresso martini was also solid. For appetizers, we ordered the poke nachos and crab cakes. The poke nachos came out fast and were massive. Easily the best we've had so far (disclaimer: we haven't been to Hawaii yet). We cleaned the plate - not a single crumb left. The crab cakes were even more impressive. Probably the best we've ever had, yes, even better than the ones at Five Crowns (which had been our top pick until now). The crab meat was delicate and flavorful, and the green aioli sauce was out of this world. We even devoured the arugula that came with it, and we're not usually arugula people. We had originally planned to order entrees (the filet and the salmon), but we were honestly too full from the appetizers. Instead, we opted for the loaded potato soup and the beef tacos, with the intention of saving room for dessert. We barely made a dent in either (they were tasty), but we boxed them up to enjoy at home and they held up great the next day. Dessert was a highlight. We debated between the butter cake and the chocolate cake and ultimately chose the chocolate cake - no regrets. It was incredibly moist, the ice cream was rich and creamy, and the raspberry drizzle (which we usually don't care for) actually pulled the whole dish together. It totally changed our minds about that flavor combo. The decor and bar area were stylish and vibrant. What made matters worse was the waiter: unprofessional, unfriendly, and shockingly unfamiliar with the menu. When we asked for cocktail recommendations, he couldn't describe a single one and came across as passive-aggressive and inattentive throughout the meal. I'll definitely be back, and hopefully the kitchen has addressed the issue with the undercooked meat.

I'm assuming they have live bands that play here on certain days. The music video that was played was techno, which probably didn't match the vibe. It's summer so they should play some island reggae or chill country songs IMO. It's still nice with music regardless the genre. They have plenty of tables and seating styles scattered around and they have the grassy area in front of the stage. I suppose you can take a picnic mat or blanket out there to sit. Overall, this is a decent spot that's great for groups because there's a variety of food vendors to choose from. Note: it's summer and there were mosquitos - wear bug repellent and sunscreen. There's no breeze coming through here. I'd love to come back and try the other businesses here.
