Excellent work. Fairbanks pricing. Bored cylinder and a piston kit. Put it in and runs like new.

Very helpful. You're there because you blew up your engine..they suggest the probable cause, instead of just selling you parts.

Toward the end of August I left our 1956 Buick Roadmaster with our long time mechanic so the power…read moresteering box could be rebuilt in Auburn, WA. The rebuilding was going to take longer than anticipated so the mechanic suggest I get a car cover to keep dust and rain off the car. I only had an indoor cover on hand so looked at four places in Fairbanks to purchase a good quality outdoor cover, which I thought I found at O'Reilly's Auto parts at 58 College Road. I purchased what appeared to be their best cover, also their most expensive. The mechanic and his wife made sure the car was dry before putting on the cover. The mechanics, his wife and other shop workers know the car finish was in excellent condition when the cover was put on the car. The rebuilt power steering box came in Thursday (two weeks later) and I was able to pick up the car Friday. When the called mechanic he was very upset as when they took the cover off there were scuff marks or some type of residue marks from the cover on many surfaces of the car including the hood, top, trunk and along the curve lines of the front and back fenders. Attached one photo showing the damage to the trunk. I did talk Friday to assistant manager Dakota at r'Reilly's. He found the transaction in the store records. His response was he had never had complaints on these covers. No sympathy, no offer to refund the purchase price or to compensate for repairing the damage. The only factor that changed to cause the damage was adding that cover. The box says there is a 5 year warranty for the cover and 100% satisfaction guaranteed. Apparently O'Reilly at 58 College Road in Fairbanks, Alaska does not believe in customer satisfaction. Hopefully the car can be professionally buffed out and restored. Don't buy a Rust-Oleum Never Wet car cover! Jeff Cook, Fairbanks, Alaska.

Dan, you keeping your word and purchasing Eric's car could have been a blessing to both my family…read moreand yourself. The deal you were getting you definitely were coming out on top. The amount of greed you are demonstrating is unbelievable. You gave me your word his car was safe with you while I traveled. Now instead of my son learning sacrifice (as the $1,500 was for his football) he is learning a different lesson. I understand I should have never taken a verbal agreement. You have turned a blessing into something evil. How can you even enjoy Eric's car when you out right stole it from his widow and 5 children. I am in complete disbelief. This is the message I sent the owner of this business Dan Davis after he gave me his word my late husbands $15,000 show car was safe with him while I traveled out of town as he was not able to come up with the money before I left. We made a verbal agreement he would purchase the vehicle for $1,500 + all fees which is a heart breaking deal for my family but had made the decision we could not afford to continue to store it and Dan assured he would also love the car the way my kids father did. I called the office 3 times before I finally heard from Dan who then admits to me he "sent the car to auction". He did not try to contact me before he did this. Legally I am in the wrong for excepting a verbal agreement. Morally this is BAD BUSINESS.

Very happy with the service and care these folks take to help you out. Definitely recommend.read more

I recently bought a 2009 Arctic Cat TBX 650 from Northern Power Sports of Fairbanks, AK. SO this…read morereview is based on this transaction. Craig the salesman was professional and knowledgeable about the different models of Arctic Cat ATV's they had in stock. I chose the '09 TBX for several reasons. First the ability to add a pull starter to the ATV, which can be a life saver in the bush. I like the longer wheelbase and dumbbox on the TBX as well. I added stock handwarmers with the thumb warmer, rear bumper, front winch, and upgraded the tires to ITP Mud Lites. The reason they did not rate a solid 5 stars is this. During the spec.out of the ATV, I wanted a rear winch as well. They told me in the beginning that I would need a special mounting plate for the winch. I was told this would be done with the winch installed for $500. Keep in mind you can get a 3000# Warn winch for $169 when you purchase a new ATV. Anyway since I had a winch put on the front they would not give me the same deal on the rear winch. So I declined the offer and moved on. Later I found the rear bumper for the TBX in a flyer hey had. It sold for $209 and would let you mount a winch in the rear without the special plate. Finding this I again asked for the rear winch for the $169 price, only to be told the best deal I could get was double that price. So I declined the winch and kept the bumper as I can find an aftermarket winch cheaper. Next I upgraded my stock tires from the Quad Pro's to ITP Mud Lites. I was only given a trade in of $25.00 per tire. They said they only sell the "trade tires for $50 and that is why I only got the $25 trade in per tire. Yet when we looked up the tires they listed them for $99 - $109 per tire. But if he keyed them in as "trade tires" they came up as $50. So I wonder since they are new tires and just sitting there if they really sell them for "trade in" tires or "new tires". My money says they get the full price for the tires. So I ask, why don't you give me "your cost" per tire or at least the $50 sale price of the "trade in" tires since you won't lose any money. Nope.... This seems to me to be a case of sqeasing every last penny out of parts being sold twice. This is what left a bad taste in my mouth. But other than this they did ok. My total price was $8900.00 Seems to me they would work a little harder to keep customers real happy in this market.

Most horrible service ever. After keeping my ATV for a year, it only ran for a month before it…read morebroke down again after about $5000 in parts & labor.
