The clerks at the front were informational and patient while we browsed the menu. It was pretty full when we arrived and we had no where to sit. Regardless, the coffee was good and I highly recommend to try a banana latte with the banana foam. Absolutely delicious!

No wait, and cashier was super nice. Clean environment and great food. My only hope is for more vegetarian options. I loved the burrito but picked out all the pork out. I love the vibe here and will return for more matcha if I'm in the area!

I was greeted once I walked into the door. I ordered a matcha Pistachio latte with almond milk. It was delicious and not too sweet. I see was nice and clean. There was merchandise for sale. They also have a reward system that you can quickly sign up with your phone number. I will definitely be back to try other items on their menu.

I ordered a salted caramel latte and got one of their bacon breakfast burritos. Both were absolutely to die for!

I had heard about this coffee shop for some time, but never took the time to go there and check it out. Today was the perfect day to do so, and I am so glad I did! Plenty of parking in the parking lot, you cannot miss this place. It's got great signage and a great dark wood interior. I love a good coffee shop, and I appreciate the people that work there. Especially those who are engaging, talkative, and make you feel like you've stepped into your own kitchen. That was the experience I had at Darkmoon Coffee roasters. Super great people behind the counter made plenty of awesome suggestions, and they definitely pushed me towards the burrito. I was hungry, and I do love a good breakfast burrito so I had to do it! Let me tell you, I am so glad I did! This. Burrito was off the chain. When you first looked inside the case, you would think it's one of those convenient star burritos. It is not! These burritos are made from the good people at smash and slice, and they are absolutely delicious! I had a salted caramel latte, it was the perfect compliment to the burrito. Let me tell you, this is a perfect place to pull up a chair, have a bite to eat, or do work on your laptop. The dark atmosphere really lends a nice touch to the place, and with plenty of seating, it really does become a home away from home. The coffee itself is really good... I like a stronger blend and this was absolutely perfect! Bottom line? If you were ever up in Henderson you need to try this place out. It's just a ways up Eastern but it's definitely worth the drive. If I could give them 10 Stars I would. Don't sleep on this one, and don't forget the breakfast burrito!

Tucked away in a quiet plaza stands Dark Moon Coffee Roasters. This cafe serves up quite the unique variety of drinks, along with a delicious pastry selection. As you walk in, you'll be met with a warm hello from their amazing staff, and on the right you'll see a bunch of their great products and merch items. The cafe's vibe is so chill, I feel I could study here for hours on end. Shoutout to Jada for the BEST service, and such a warm welcome as this was our first time here. The drinks we ordered were a Latte with Churro Moon Cap and a Flat White. The Flat White really showcased the notes within the espresso shot, really highlighting the craft of their coffee. The Latte with Churro Moon Cap quite literally tasted as if they melted a churro and served me it! It wasn't outrageously sweet, and it was just right. I seriously cannot wait to come back to try more of their drinks. If you do stop by and Jada is there, just know you will have an amazing time at the cafe. The visit alone is worth it!!!

Very underrated cafe in Green Valley. While not my first pick for a matcha, they have great coffee and sell beans right in the store. I've enjoyed the ambiance and vibe of the cafe. The service is very friendly and helpful, and I even see them give customers free drinks instead of letting a wrong drink be wasted. Good for groups of 1-2 people due to seating being mostly two chairs to a table.

    Pretty great coffee!

I have driven past Dark Moon Coffee Roasters more times than I can count, usually on my way to grab sushi next door, and I honestly don't know why I waited this long to walk in. I love supporting local businesses, and this one was long overdue. I recently learned that Dark Moon is award-winning and known for its cold brew, which you can even find at places like Sprouts and Whole Foods. That alone made me curious. If a small local shop is being carried at that level, they're clearly doing something right. Walking in, the vibe immediately hits you. It's dark, moody, minimalist, and very intentional. It feels like a true coffee space. Not rushed, not commercial, just cool. Omar greeted me right away and was incredibly welcoming. Since it was my first visit, he took the time to walk me through the menu and helped me land on one of their signature drinks: a latte with black sesame cold foam. That alone sounded unique enough to try. He was genuinely excited about it and even encouraged me to share my experience. Steven crafted the drink and offered a small suggestion that made a big difference. He mentioned that he likes to add a touch of salted caramel to balance it out. As someone who loves salted caramel, I happily said yes. That recommendation took it to another level. First sip? Wow. The black sesame cold foam is something I've never experienced before. It's nutty, slightly savory, subtly sweet, and pairs beautifully with the espresso. The added salted caramel rounded everything out without overpowering it. It felt thoughtful, not sugary. The shop was packed, and it felt like most people there were regulars. That says a lot. You could tell the staff genuinely enjoy talking about coffee, and they take pride in what they're serving. Dark Moon isn't just a cute coffee shop. It's craft coffee with personality. Safe to say I won't just be driving by anymore. I'll be stopping in.

I saw this place on social media and read they had great breakfast burritos so I'd been wanting to try it. For a Monday morning at about 9am the place was popping. To my disappointment, the breakfast burrito are pre-made and in a fridge right by the cash register. There was about 5 burritos left and the employee working said to take one from the fridge and they would heat it up. He said each burrito comes with a side of sauce, that you also grab from the fridge. However, there was only 1 sauce container left and the employee apologized and said they didn't have any more. So my husband and I got 2 burritos, 1 sauce, coffee. The coffees were really good and the burrito was tasty too! I am looking forward to coming back sometime.

Dark Moon Coffee Roasters was an average experience for me. The coffee itself was decent, but nothing particularly memorable. The matcha was also average and I would not order it again. The interior is very dark, which gives it a certain mood, but it also made the space feel a bit closed in. There isn't much comfortable seating if you're hoping to stay awhile and relax or get some work done. It feels more like a quick stop for coffee rather than a place to linger. Overall, it's fine if you're in the area and need a caffeine fix, but it's not somewhere I'd go out of my way to visit.

If you like dark roasted coffee, this is the place to try. They serve both hot and cold drink varieties. There are several roasted varieties on the shelf for purchase. The attached photo may be hard to see so here they are: Brazil, Colombia, Ethiopian, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Sumatra and their own Sunset Blend on the day we were there. They will also custom blend your drink if requested. Dark Moon Coffee Roasters is a unique way to experience coffee not commonly found elsewhere. Staff is friendly and engaging and will answer any questions.

This place is one of my favorite local Coffee roasters and we visit often. On our most recent visit I had one of the seasonal offerings .. a beautiful crafted latte with nutmeg and cardamom; it was delicious! The staff is always super friendly and helpful and we always feel welcome. We'll be back soon for another great cup of coffee.

I went off the beaten path (away from the 15... lol) to find a local coffee shop. Dark Moon didn't disappoint. My cold brew was very flavorful . Cool atmosphere, too. Reminds me of Forum in San Diego. I'll be back the next time I'm in Vegas.

Dark Moon Coffee Roasters Reviews in Other Languages

Ask the Community - Dark Moon Coffee Roasters

    Does this cafe have restrooms?

    Yes, in the very back.

Hi, do you guys allow customers to purchase whole beans from you?

Yes, we have a rotating selection of single origin coffee beans ready to purchase everyday.

Is this a good place to study? If so, are there outlets?

Not really, the seating is wood slab-style. Not meant to sit for long periods of time. However I was able to read a part of my book and answer emails. I loved it!

Does the shop use matcha powder to make the matcha drinks?

The matcha we use is a ceremonial grade matcha from Art Of Tea. Yes it is powder form, we whisk it fresh per order.

    Do you have outlets?

    Yes

    What's your best seller coffee?

Right now it is our Lunar Blend which is our current espresso blend of beans from Guatemala, Colombia and Ethiopia.

    Do you have wifi?

    Yes.

Do you have vegan gluten-free pastries?

Yes, right now we have a vegan gf oatmeal apricot and cranberry cookie!

    Do you have outdoor seating?

We would love to but we aren’t able to accommodate any outdoor seating due to an ADA ramp/stairway being in front of our storefront.

Do you offer pastries or food? If so, do you offer anything gluten free?

CraftKitchen bakes all of our pastries for us! We will always have 1-2 gluten free options, right now our GF options are a Lemon Raspberry Muffin, and an oatmeal apricot cranberry cookie.

    Do they offer decaf?

Yes, right now we have a Guatemalan decaf.

I decided to sit inside and although they were busy, I was thankfully able to find a table. It's very clean and brightly decorated inside. Quite a few of their specialty lattes sounded good, but I ultimately decided on the Crème brûlée latte, iced with almond milk. While the price point was still high, it lower than many Vegas coffee shops. They have crushed ice which is nice but I do feel like it is a bit of filler, to be honest. The drink was really good though. Despite being a crème brûlée flavored latte, it wasn't overly sweet and the espresso still came through. I'd say that this was one of the quieter coffee shops I've worked from locally, so I'd recommend it for remote workers or students.

We made sure to get a couple of their specialty coffees--the Turon Brulee Latte and the Ferrero Latte, and then one of their more regular coffees, the Ube Latte. All of them were a hit! Every single one of the cloud foams on the coffee lattes we had were sooooo incredibly creamy and delicious, and tasted exactly like they should. If I were to choose one favorite out of the ones we got though, mine would be the Turon Brulee Latte. That banana and jackfruit puree they have on there was just pure perfection. It went so well with that bold coffee flavor without completely overpowering it, and it wasn't overly sweet. It definitely tasted like the traditional Filipino dessert in coffee latte form! One thing of note--their coffee tasted DIVINE. It was smooth and mellow with a great punch of toastiness to it. I'm a huge fan of coffee shops who roast their own coffee beans so that in and of itself was already a winner for me. But after tasting their coffee? Hands down, just a great experience overall. Ambiance was great--I loved the art they had on the walls and red ram figures they had on the tables. The place was very clean and it's somewhere you'd want to stay and chill at while enjoying your coffee and/or pastry of choice. Service was impeccable--the barista who helped us was so friendly and welcoming. She even gave her own recommendations and made sure our coffees were all made to our liking. We also even met one of the owners, Mr. Armand! He was so very nice and sweet. We love an owner who's hands on and we were pretty lucky to meet him during our visit. I'm already looking forward to the next time we're able to come back here. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

That said, it was reasonably strong and not very bitter or challenging in acidity, and the caffeine boost was obvious after a few sips (through a wide boba-like straw, strangely enough). If I lived closer, this would replace my daily Starbucks. It's absolutely worth the drive, and I'll definitely be back!

Let me just say that I don't frequent Starbucks or the other big coffee chains on a daily basis…read morehowever, I love a good cup of coffee especially when I know its from Colorado River Coffee Roasters. I was first turned on to CRCR by good friend and former owner of Bread and Butter Chris Herrin. A few months later while dining at Eat in downtown, I enjoyed that same delicious smooth cuppa joe,(unfortunatey, both B&B and Eat no longer use them) and knowing that they were in Boulder City, I knew one of these days I HAD TO go straight to the source. Pulling up to their storefront, it looks like nothing from the outside but as you enter, the smell of roasting coffee beans hit you like WOW!!! We met Don and Erik Anderson who are responsible for making some of the most delicious coffee you will have ever tasted(if you haven't yet). They were even nice enough to give us a little behind the scenes tour and explain their delicate roasting process using state of the art equipment (infrared heat, not open fire) and even offered tips on how to enjoy their product in the best possible way. We decided to grab a bag of one of Eirk's favorite blends-Bolivia: Amor De Dios, a 12 ounce bag for $10. If you're looking for a specific characteristic, flavor, etc. they have other blends available and Erik will be more than happy to point you in the right direction. If you haven't had a taste of Colorado River Coffee Roasters, places like Grouchy John's, Great Harvest Bread Company, and Sambalatte have their own blends from CRCR that they serve up. You may also purchase coffee from CRCR online which will be delivered right to your doorstep, or better yet, take a drive to Boulder City and go straight to the source and get an even fresher product! Here are some helpful tips that Erik and Don suggested: COFFEE: DO NOT grind the beans fine...a coarse grind is suggested WATER: DO NOT boil your water!... 200 degrees Farenheit... no higher! EQUIPMENT: No fancy equipment/gadgets here- a FRENCH PRESS is their weapon of choice, and how Erik and Don enjoy the fruits of their labor.... DOSAGE: Start with an equal ratio of 1 gram beans to 1 gram water and steep for 4 minutes...if it isn't strong enough, increase the beans to your liking STORAGE: Store beans in a cool, dark place....DO NOT refrigerate or freeze!!! BEST BY: Enjoy within 1 MONTH of purchase Erik and Don have also been chosen as one of the top seeded companies to compete later this year on the National level in Seattle with the best in the country. Best of luck to Erik and Don who have single handedly put Nevada on the coffee map, and forget the big chains....BUY LOCAL!!!! ALOHA!!!
