My favorite place for coffee in Las Vegas area. I live 20 plus minutes away and will continue to visit even when I don't have errands nearby. The staff is kind and polite and more importantly, knowledgeable about coffee!! I have purchased many bags of coffee from here and each one has been unique and delicious. This was a really chill spot. I'm glad it's here but sad to see that most of the other buildings no longer exist. I frequented this area a lot back in H.S. as I lived up the street. The plus side is that there is tons of parking available. The barista was really nice. She was very approachable and knowledgeable. She talked with me for a bit about how they make all their own stuff right there in the building. It's pretty cool. The outside really looks deserted so I had no clue this place was over here. However, once you get in it's really cool. The seating arrangement is a little rough as everything is just wood benches so can be tough to sit there for too long if you're wanting to work but there is plenty of space and the way they set it up is great for if you are working in a small group. I loved the toned down color scheme. It really provided for a chill ambiance. I'll definitely be back to try some of their drip coffee. read more

This place I saw advertised on my Instagram, so I definitely wanted to check it out. I went on a weekday it wasn't too crowded and the drive wasn't too bad it's just right off of Horizon and Eastern. It's right behind the Taco Bell and the walgreens. We walked in and was greeted right away, I forgot what his name was but he was really good at helping us out on making suggestions. We went this past wed in the afternoon around 2:00 PM, so whoever was working that day he did awesome. My boyfriend isn't a coffee junkie like me, he is slowly learning about coffee. He was a bit confused on what to order, felt kind of bad because he tried this one drink that was eight dollars just was a seasonal drink. It had some kind of dried apple on top and espresso in it with some kind of other flavored shot over ice and I totally forgot what it was called. It was a apple drink... It was a bit strong for him with that espresso, so he added a little bit of sugar in it and he drank half of it and I drank half of it, he was not really impressed by it. If it was a little bit sweeter I think he would've liked it. It wasn't that bad tasting for me, but then again like I said he isn't a coffee drinker, lol. But I had an iced vanilla with oat milk and it was absolutely delicious, I really enjoyed it I would definitely be going back. read more

I'm always on the lookout for a good cup of coffee. Dark Moon Coffee Roasters fell in line with the seeming parade of locally-owned coffee shops in Henderson who also roast their beans in house. Add the fact that it wasn't too far from where I live, it was an obvious place for me to get my coffee fix on multiple occasions. On my latest visit, I was shopping for some whole bean coffee to take home with me. I ordered a pour-over coffee, which for me is my preferred way to get the full flavor experience from a cup of coffee in a prospective bean that I wanted to try before buying a whole bag. In my opinion, Dark Moon serves up the most aesthetically pleasing pour-over coffee setup in town and the coffee is tasty to boot. If I have one critique (and it also applies to likely every coffee shop that does pour-over in America), Dark Moon's coffee cup and single serving carafe, while unique vessels, weren't well insulated and the coffee cooled off fairly rapidly. As a result, I had to drink my coffee more quickly than I would've preferred or risk it getting cold. In the end, the service was friendly, my cup of coffee was well-made and delicious, and I found whole beans that I liked enough to bring home with me. The smell of coffee hit me as soon as I opened the door. A barista was explaining the nuances of espresso to a group that looked like they just came from an underground rave. I ordered an iced oat milk latte to go, sat down, and waited. Drink didn't take too long, but when I tasted it as I left the parking lot, it tasted somewhat sour. Taste of the beans, perhaps? After I took a few more sips, it was apparent that the oat milk was rancid. My mouth and tongue recoiled as they remembered the taste of spoiled milk. Needless to say, I threw the rest out. I come here all the time and usually order the nitro cold brew or a matcha with oat milk. the nitro is the smoothest I've had in las vegas. it doesn't taste acidic, it doesn't taste bitter--just straight up smooth and electrified with caffeine. and their matcha is quality, you can tell. I'm serious about my matcha and they don't fuck around, so much that they don't add sweetener unless requested. I also have a bag of one of their colombian beans--not the strongest for me, but still entirely tasty. the one thing I don't like is the beans used for the espresso drinks. I'll have to hurry up and eat something each time I order a latte because the espresso is just *that* acidic and nothing else will curb the icky feeling my body gets immediately after. like this morning for instance: I decided to order a hot matcha with a single espresso shot on the side, hoping it would dissolve the possibility of feeling icky (as the lattes come with two shots). I WAS WRONG. the espresso is soooooo acidic and bitter that the barista brought along a tonic water on the side perhaps to cut the taste. don't get it twisted: I drink solo shots frequently so I'm no newbie; however, as I was drinking the shot as I normally do, I gagged and fought off the urge to vomit--as one would do if not used to tequila for instance. consequently, it gave me severe nausea for the day along with the regular icky feeling I'm slammed with from drinking the lattes any other time. SO if you're sensitive to high acidic coffee, maybe drop one shot from the lattes or just get their cold brews. I'm aware many higher quality/elevation beans can be acidic, but even The Coffee Class coffee shop's beans are very high quality and their's don't cause me to feel sick. nevertheless, try this place. read more

Dark Moon Coffee Roasters is a great new coffee spot that is too far away from where my husband and I live, but we will still manage to get our fix. Located on Eastern Avenue close to Anthem, I've been here twice now and it's definitely worth the drive. The guys who've waited on us are coffee experts with barista experience from other reputable coffee spots that we also frequent in Las Vegas. The space is nicely decorated and there is ample seating; I'm a fan of the long, low counter where you can see your order being made as well as the homage to "Pulp Fiction" near the bathrooms. Pastries sold are from Craft Kitchen (score!) and 50% off with Yelp check-in. There is also tea, beer, wine, and kombucha for sale. Hours are 7am-7pm, Monday-Saturday, and 7am-5pm on Sundays. I'm disappointed. I came here with my husband this morning and although it's a ways out for us I wanted him to try the amazing coffee and the friendly service I had experienced my last time here from the female barista with the glasses. We walked in and immediately although greeted when we asked about getting a Columbia the cashier/barista bluntly said we have four. Didn't offer any anecdotes on the differences between the coffees like the last barista no recommendations or anything. Not a bit of friendliness or excitement from him at all. Half paying attention to the other gentleman who asked for a sample of the pre-made drink mixes. We ended up deciding on the Brazil on our own. Although the coffee is still good. It's not as delicious as the first cup of coffee I ordered at my first visit made by the female barista who seemed to take more time making it as our coffee was made quite quickly in comparison. Not sure if I will come back as this establishment is far from me around 30 min and I don't want to take the gamble of is it going to be the barista I like today or not? Seating arrangement has changed as well with bar stool benches against the wall and tables by the window and if I would be coming there to work on my laptop the glare from the windows or the direct light may irritate me depending on the day. Great coffee, great ambiance, and always amazing service. I come in almost everyday and it's always spot on.

I love coming here when I visit my family. The coffee is some of the best I have had. I only get it to go, so I cannot speak to the ambiance as much but it is super cute inside. The service has all been really great, and the baristas have all been helpful and nice. Highly recommend stopping by. My only issue is that they use a plastic style cup, with a plastic top and 'a plastic drink stopper. While it does not melt, I can't help but think of ingesting micro plastics. I will bring my own cup next time, and really hope they consider switching to a more sustainable option if possible. read more

I had brought a book with me to read inside while I drank my coffee and there was no lighting. It was too dark inside. I also didn't care for their menu options. There was nothing unique that was being offered that made them stand out from the other coffee shops in Las Vegas. I ended up ordering a basic latte with caramel flavoring and a croissant. The croissant was good, but they they put my latte in a regular glass cup instead of a mug, which did not keep my latte warm. The glass cup over a mug made me immediately wish I'd gone somewhere else. The staff was nice though and friendly with their service. Just not impressed by the overall place. read more
