These people know what they are doing and we would love to go back. I want to keep this place a secret but also want to see them succeed. Nice little campground, very private spaces you're not stacked on top of each other. Close enough to town. Bath houses are very nice even had a laundry room, and a covered pavilion.The dig pit for the kids up on the hill was super. You can rent your E bikes as well as a four-wheel-drive vehicle so that you can go out on the trails!! The covered grilling area with table and they even provide the propane fire pit! First visit was August 2021 and we had a great time in the area and ran out of time so we returned this June to complete our exploration. We can hardly wait to return next year. We stayed at spot 13 which has great views of the desert. Lots of privacy between pads. They added secure gate to the park. Rent the Jeep, it was great! Lot to see and do around Kanab. read more

The bathrooms are clean, the shower features a door that opens to an outside private area, the floors are heated, you can control the temperature, & there's great lighting. They have an enclosed dog area & a dog washing station. There's a common area to hang out and meet other guests that has so many little details you would not think you are at an rv park. There's a cute dog area for kids with tools and treasures to be found. They have WiFi too. I forgot to take a photo of the resort, but if you are going to Kanab, UT check out Dark Sky RV Park. It is new. The owners built it after living in their RV for years and they put all of the features in that they would WANT at an RV park! Each site is plenty long and a pull thru. There are FHUs, firepits, shelters, picnic tables, a small zipline and "bone pit" for the kids. They have a lovely "meeting area" with a gas firepit and comfy outdoor furniture. Laundry and wifi. A small "self-serve" store for fresh eggs, ice cream bars, water and beer! The bathrooms are 1st class with heated floors! Super nice an accommodating camp hosts. We were going to be gone all day and they came by 2x to walk our dogs! The sites are nicely spread apart, so no "reach out and touch" your neighbor!! Beautiful views and quiet. We try to avoid RV parks where everyone is crammed in 5 feet apart, but that's typically what we find anyway. Not so with Dark Sky! These folks spent years traveling the country in their own RV and must have taken notes on everything people could want because they nailed it! The spaces are large, level, and generously spaced. I'm talking 75 feet apart and each one had its own fire pit and unobstructed view! Where they truly outdid themselves is the gorgeous bathroom. (Never thought I'd say that about an RV park) It's like a five-star hotel with heated floors. We had planned to only spend one night as we were doing all 5 national parks in UT but ended up spending 5 days at Dark Sky. The views, the atmosphere, and the amenities are beyond anything I've come across while traveling. Their location is perfect and around an hour or less from Bryce, Zion, Grand Canyon, Glen Canyon, and more. The hosts had excellent recommendations for local hikes and activities as well. (Check out the Kanab Sand Caves!) The hosts themselves were fantastic! Always available to help with restaurant suggestions, local gems, or any issues you might have. They've created a great sense of community at Dark Sky with a common area for hanging out and planning day trips and they even hosted a group meal for everyone. Great people with beautiful personalities! We actually still keep in touch with the Roth's and are planning to head back for the Kanab Film Festival they started. I've been spoiled by Dark Sky and have to remind myself that almost zero other RV parks pay this level of attention to ensure they provide their guests with the absolute best experience possible. read more

10/10 would stay again. Unbelievably nice having a real shower after rolling around in the pink sand dunes state park. Also with 2 small kids in car seats we found the local off-road rental companies unwilling to rent us a rzr dune buggy; so we rented the Roxor jeep from Dark Sky, installed the car seats and made it to peeekabo canyon which was a ton of fun. Also using their communal eating area was a nice change from our campers table and offered great sunset dining views and cool atmosphere. read more

We found this RV park online and were pleasantly surprised at the views and the wide spacing between the sites (which are all "pull throughs"). The family that runs this RV park are all super friendly -- it is a mom and dad and their adult daughter and son-in-law. They gave us lots of great ideas of hikes and eateries to try, they could not have been more helpful. Although we are self-contained, I did take one shower in their beautiful bathroom with the private outdoor shower, it was great to move around after showering in the RV. There is a nice laundry area, ATVs to rent, and a little zip line and digging area for children. We really enjoyed this place! read more

Wow!! Definitely the best RV Park we have stayed at. The sites and far apart from your neighbor which is awesome. Let's start from the beginning. This place is covid compliant. You will pay online before you come in. The site your are in will be texted to you the day you arrive. Any questions just text/call them back. They are super friendly here! This is a brand new rv Park that just opened up so if you use a gps make sure it's updated so it knows where this place is! But if you use the phone gps you are good to go to find this place. We were actually ahead of schedule by 30 mjns and I called the park so see if I can maybe come 30 mins early (checkin is at 2pm). They said no problem!!! Some parks are so strict on this! Not this place. The dog park has tons of plants for the furry ones to run around and pee on. They will fill your propane on site here too. Also they have a legit home style washer and dryer for you to use! Not the coin ones at rv parks that don't clean well. Since it's a home style washer and dryer, it's the honor system to pay for your wash. There's a cash box or you can Venmo them the money on how much wash and dry. $2.00 per wash / $2.00 per dry. This place is super clean. One day the owners drove around the campground on their golf cart giving away free ice cream!! Never in my 4 years RVing have I seen this!! This is a one of a kind rv Park!! Definitely unique in an awesome way. I'll definitely be back!! And yes. This place gets dark at night. The stars are awesome. read more

This campground is a true gem. The facilities are amazing. Very spacious campground sites with warm friendly owners who were very helpful in helping to plan our stay in Kanab. We attended a Social hour where we were nicely fed and got to meet other campers. The following evening there was a cool meditation program. They have jeep and bike rentals, a dig pit and zip line for the kids. The owners' children were very sweet and my children loved playing with them. We loved Dark Sky Campground and hope to return there on our next trip out west. read more

WOW this place is AMAZING. The BEST campground my bf and I have stayed at. The hosts were super welcoming and friendly. Rick came by everyday to check up on us and see if there was anything we needed. We stayed 3 nights at the tent campsite area and it was very private section especially since we saw no other campers since we came at a cold weekend when the weather changed so drastically. But we camped through the snow, wind, and rain of temps from 20s to 40s. The tent area was flat and very comfortable to sleep on as it wasn't on a slope so you're not sliding down anywhere. The table and stump chairs is a nice place to cook on our propane gas stove and eat in private with the gorgeous views. The BATHROOM SUITE had heated floors and really did look spa-like. The amenities of a campsite like this for $25/night is soooo worth it. There's wifi and it works even better than our home internet. The hosts respond back to your texts really quickly! The skies are real dark and peaceful at night and you can view the stars! Would definitely come back here to camp in better temperatures! You can't and shouldn't compare this to the multiple amenity parks, such as KOA's. The layout of the campground is great. There's lots of space between sites, and the sites are very easy to get into, with little to no leveling needed. It's open space, with beautiful views of your surroundings. The bathroom is amazing. The shower rooms, have amazing modern decor, perfectly hot water, great shower head, heated floors! An amazing vanity, a great little private outdoor nook from the shower. Just, by far the BEST shower room I've ever experienced at a campground. The WiFi actually works, and the hosts are so inviting and kind. Your less than an hours drive to Zion, and also to Duck Creek and Navajo Lake. I would definitely stay here again. Thank you for a great experience! read more

Truly a "5 billion star" campground, not only because you will see the most magnificent sky above, but because of the attention to detail everywhere you turn. We loved the hip, trendy ambiance. The common area, the playpit, the complimentary fire pit, and the BATHROOM! Honestly public restrooms are not my thing, but this is an entire suite. You have your own A.C. And they provide soap and shampoo. You also have the option of showering outside in your own private oasis.
