This place hit every weekend interest on our list. Good drinks, great food, and such. Good atmosphere. Even though we were on a date night, even with kids and families running around and enjoying themselves the energy was perfect. We enjoyed the live music, the beer and cocktails we enjoyed, the pizza was yummy, and we could relax enough to have great conversation without having to worry about someone around us causing chaos or acting out. The setup is nicely curated with options for drinks and food. Tables for sitting and dining or fire pits and lawn chairs for leisure. The space was clean and easy to navigate. Check-in was a breeze and no pressure. Overall very very good experience. This will be a place we come back to for future date nights or bring our kiddos with us for special events. It's family-friendly and comfortable without feeling overwhelmed with kids for those who are on a kid-free outing. Idk how they manage to have this balanced, but they do and it's great! See yall soon!

I know he said his name, but I had too much fun (beer!) to remember! Very patient, super knowledgeable and took time to make sure each of us was well informed and taken care of. Set me up with a superb flight of Belgians plus a stout that was absolutely amazing. Nice layout, not too noisy, with a monthly "buy nothing" meetup with different themes. No real food, so bring your own. Not sure if they ever do food trucks. Overall: magnificent fun time. Highly recommend!!

I wanted to update my review since the first time I visited this place, and mainly its the customer…read moreservice/employees. TLDR: Inappropriate comments & rude/unwelcoming staff. Read the rest if you are interested. I have been coming here the last few months for their "buy nothing" events. I think its such an awesome way to help the environment, connect with community and give your gently used items a good home. When I have been coming here though, I am getting really put off by the "Staff". One incident happened where they were still setting up some things for the event and I heard a guy (i assumed worked there, based on apparel and the set up he was doing, i could be wrong though) say "come buy some beer, everyone is just here for free stuff cheap asses". I don't think that is very welcoming for individuals who attend this event. Most recently when we went to the Buy nothing event in August, my friend and I went up to the bar to ask if we could try a sample of 2 of the ciders they had. The gentleman was older, maybe 50's wearing a hat gave us the samples. We tried them as he went over to pour my friend her drink that she was PURCHASING. I asked if I could get another sample of another drink, genuinely curious of the flavor profile and trying a sample before I made my decision. This individual gave me such a hard time replying "thats going to be it for that, we aren't going to keep doing this" something along the lines of being upset that I asked for a second sample. I then told him as he went over to the station to just forget it and I wasn't going to be given a hard time. Since it was such a big deal to try another sample. Usually when I go to a tap room the employees talk about their products, the notes, and give me more info and offer a couple of different samples. Here I felt bad just for asking to try a second cider which was their new one for me. Then he came out from the side and try to give me the sample, I let him know that it was fine, and I stated I no longer wanted one. His response was " oh so you just want me to throw it out". I let him know I didn't want it before he poured it almost feel guilty for "throwing it out". I stated that he was giving me a hard time, instead of just clarifying what he meant, a simply "sorry about that" he just turned around and went off with his day. When we come here we buy multiple drinks at this event. But the employees that I have personally seen have made it a not so great experience.

Carne Asada & Pork Belly Tacos both were tasty but the Pork Belly with the slaw Tacos were truly delectable. The salad they put out was fresh and crisp. I really wanted the burger but since we catered I am going to have to go back to try it out! Service: Above and Beyond. I spent 10 years in restaurant and another 9 in hospitality and the service at Birdies went beyond the mark of service. The one person that brought the vibe, the energy, the smile and made you feel like family...Loren. I kept telling him, I was inspired by him. Loren brought my 50th Celebration to the next level and truly made my friends, family and I feel very special and honored to be celebrating at Birdies. It is because of this experience, I will keep coming back. The bartenders were above and beyond as well. Big Mahalos to the sales team who assisted my wife and made everything easy for her. Ambiance: Clean and modern aesthetics. Half restaurant and bar. Half Golf simulator and outdoor patio. Golf simulator was awesome, my first time ever. Easy to operate, lots of fun games and the analytics were very informative of how bad of golfer I really am. Stop in for a drink, stop in for golf but stop in. Don't pass on this v

Birdies is such an awesome place…read more I found this place accidentally when I was walking from Old Sac after parking my car out there and I saw a sign for Happy Hour drinks for $8.00. Birdies is located about a half-block from the entrance to Sutter Health Park, near right field. So one game we got to about an hour early so we walked into Birdies to kill some time. I've been to Birdies probably 3 to 5 times and it's always been in this exact situation,Happy Hour before an A's game. It seems like they have a happy hour before most if not every game. When you go to Birdies they have both indoor and outside seating though I've only sat inside. They have three ways to order at Birdies, one can order at the bar or one can grab a table and order from a waiter or waitress or finally you can order from a QR code located at each table. Their Happy Hour features $8.00 items for both food and cocktail drinks though beers are priced at $6.00. Some of the things I've gotten over my visits during happy hour were as follows Blackberry Margaritas Guava Lime Spritz Urban Roots Lager Carne Asada Tacos Single Patty Smash Burger If I'm being honest, the food at Birdies is probably more towards average rather than excellent. The drinks though have all been made excellent and tasted great. This place to me is better suited for a spot to get great drinks before the game rather than great food. I would say the food here during Happy Hour is a better deal than anything you will find at the ballpark, that goes without saying. In closing, I can honestly say I'll continue coming to Birdies for pregame Happy Hour as often as possible. It's a really great spot to grab some drinks before the game!

They had five different West Coast IPAs on tap, so naturally I had to order a sampler flight. Every pour was crisp, flavorful, and exactly what an IPA lover hopes for. The space itself has a very open and welcoming atmosphere. On the other side of the venue, there was even a wine tasting area for the wine enthusiasts in the group, which made it feel like there was something for everyone. There's plenty of room for kids to run around, a food truck outside for anyone looking for a bite, and an overall laid back environment that makes it easy to spend a few hours there. Hazy IPA : 5 Service: 4…read more Ambiance: 5 We were in town for a soccer tournament and looked to Yelp to find a spot for a midday beer (or two). Suffice it to say, if I lived in Sac I'd be a regular. The space is as a warehouse feeling, beer bar on one side and wine bar on the other. In between their is ample seating, including in high tops and regular tables. There are several picnic tables outside as well. There is also a collection of games that you can borrow and a dartboard. The decor was on point with the vibe of the place. Overall, a great place to come and chill by yourself or to party with friends. It was a pretty slow day, the service was courteous and efficient. I'm a bit biased due to my years in the industry, and then a place like this I would expect bartenders to introduce themselves and have a little banter to try to build up a regulars crowd. I got a hazy, I forgot the name. It had the hoppiness and citrus flavor that was looking for. The rest of my group bloggers and a kolsch. I texted a friend who lives in Sac about this place and it turns out they are regulars there and go to many of their events.
