I have been wanting to stop in at Birdies and circumstances allowed me to stop in for an hour before attending the A's game. Located a short walk from the stadium, this place has alot of charm. Containing both indoor and outdoor seating, the place was definitely busy prior to the game. Happy hour had various drink options from mixed drinks, well drinks, and beer, in addition to various bites, all $8 or lower. If you wanted a larger meal, the menu includes options that seemed to cater to most people, at comparable restaurant pricing. The staff was pretty busy as the place was bustling with alot of people , but they all met you with a smile, and service was great. I did not try the food, only having a beer and a chocolate old fashioned, but if the food tastes anywhere as good as it looked , or like the drink I had, I cant wait to give it a try. The place also has 5 virtual golf bays, so a plan is already in works to come back with some friends , eat drink and play some virtual courses.

Service took forever. There was an A's game, but how about let us know ahead of time? We ordered a pitcher of Coors light, took 15-20 minutes to let us know the tap wasn't working. Okay? Wouldn't you know that immediately? We ordered food thru the QR code, and after 15 minutes, asked a waitress is our food order in, she said they're backed up and it'd be 45 minutes. Okay? Let us know beforehand, maybe while ordering? Didn't take 45 minutes but it took awhile. Whatever. Location can't be beat. Music is too loud. I thought I was gonna see Walt Gray. Whatever.

Great place to pre-party for an A's game. Outside patio has tables and umbrellas. We only had beers but would like to come back for the food.

Birdies is the place. Great food and a great environment. Really. Everything we ordered we loved. We got the Churro French Toast Tower, and it did not disappoint. 4 thick whole slices of French Toast, fresh fruit, and a big churro on top. Enough to share. The pancakes and strawberries and cream was great, too. The strawberries tasted like they were gotten from a strawberry stand. The cream tasted homemade, like they whipped it up there. And the kids loved the pancakes. The baby as well. The Brunch Burger was split between the wife and I, and they were kind enough to have it cut when brought out. Very good. Juicy, but also not too wet and stayed together well. Definitely recommend. And the kids also really like the fries. The chicken and waffles were delicious as well. The chicken was soft and battered perfectly. And it came with hot honey. Delicious The restaurant was clean, and the environment/vibe was really good. Friendly staff as well. And another thing. Kind of an odd thing, but I always notice this. What they had on their TVs was what us supposed to be on restaurant's TVs. I find it annoying to go to a restaurant and they have a sitcom on, or a Law and Order type of show on. I always think who is reading those subtitles and paying to all that during dinner at a restaurant. They had maybe 8-10 TVs. All were sports. Some were the NBA playoff game, some was baseball, some was golf, and the one behind us was volleyball. I'm pretty sure this place is known for their inside golf experience, but it should also be known for their delicious fresh food. I would recommend Birdies for all occasions. I had a great time at Birdies! It's new and fresh, right across at a short walking distance from sutter health park! I was visiting a friend who lives in the building and he introduced us to this spot. All the employees from the hostess to the bartenders were so friendly! I didn't get a chance to check everything out inside. We only stopped by for a drink and the hostess took us to their new patio bar just right at the entrance. The bartenders were so kind and helpful. I ordered a simple Tito's with cranberry juice and at the moment they didn't have cranberry juice outside but one went out their way to go all the way back inside for the juice! That made me enjoy the drink even more. Although it was a warm day, there was plenty of shade on the patio and it felt better when you're seated and enjoying your drinks. While we were there someone was handing out coupons, specifically thanking us for sitting at the patio! That was super cool and felt super inviting. I came here on vacation but I would've definitely come back for more and check out all of the inside and their food as well.

Had the opportunity to try Birdies for the first time this weekend. We opted to reserve a bay to practice some golf and enjoy dinner and drinks. We came right about the end of the 49ers game so it was actually clearing out. There a couple hanging out enjoying the other golf bays watching football games and using the simulator. The vibe was cool, staff was welcoming as it was our first time. They took time to explain the set up. The bar had a few regulars hanging out as well. We had ordered a drink in the bar area while we waited for the bay to open but ended up going to the bay and drinks arriving afterwards. Service was good, they came often to take our food order, check in on how things were going and to order more drinks. We ordered the Birdies Quesabirria Trio which is made with Braised Durham Ranch Wagyu in cheddar-seared tortillas with Oaxaca, cotija, cilantro, and onion. Served with birria jus. And we also ordered the Pineapple Habanero Fish Tacos that were made with seared pineapple red snapper, pickled onion, spiced tzatziki, and watermelon radish. Both were enjoyed and very flavorful. The habanero fish tacos were a little too spicy for me - but if you love spicy then I would definitely recommend! I loved the birria tacos! We will definitely be back.

We came for the Sac Vegan Chef Challenge brunch offerings but picked the wrong day to go since there was some marathon in town. The place was packed and the wait was long. The interior is nicely decorated and laid out, with a very inviting vibe. They also have outdoor patio seating as well. Bonus, if you like espresso martinis they have multiple variations on their cocktail menu. The food and service on the day we went was an unfortunate mess. You know it's a bad sign when you're there for brunch and they tell you they ran out of coffee. Yikes. We loved the Elotero fries, so this is why I'm being generous with a third star. The Waffles & Wings, however, were a joke. For $21 I got a waffle that didn't taste freshly made, chicken nuggets, two frozen hashbrown patties and a few pieces of fruit. No spiced butter or chili maple syrup as advertised. There was regular pancake syrup provided. Definitely wouldn't order this again - it tasted like something you find at a Denny's for half the price. Our server was friendly and apologetic, understanding the frustration of seeing several people sat after us served and finished before we even saw a plate. We also saw a table next to us send back food, so there must have been some problems in the kitchen. Birdie's hasn't been open for very long, so I might be willing to come back and give them another try down the road on a slower day. I do appreciate them having vegan options, but this was definitely not the greatest first impression.

Weekend brunch was amazing. Thanks to bottomless mimosas. I wish I could have sampled more of the food choices the menu looked plentiful. They were out of what I really wanted and I didn't get a chance to snap a picture of the full menu. Please go visit this new location in West Sacramento near Sutter Heath Ball Park. Lots of big screens for sports viewing. Private bays if you want to have a private party and/or practice your golf swing. The owner and the wait staff were amazing. Loren and DJ were so customer service friendly. You would just might want to go back to meet and hang out with them. Super friendly folks. Large full bar.

We came for the Sacramento Vegan Chef Challenge. This place is so cool and such a vibe! We had the Elotero Fries, Berkeley BBQ with Chili and Cornbread, Beet Falafel Burger, and Velvet Spice Cheesecake. My favorites were the fries, the burger, and the RANCH! I have a new favorite vegan ranch, and it's house made! But everything was absolutely delish! They also have indoor golf simulators! Our server was fantastic. We did have to pay for parking.

VERY VEGAN friendly spot! Went with a large group to check out and ordered almost everything on the vegan menu and it was all delicious! Awesome staff, cool bar and great vibe! I'll be back to fill my belly!

Yikes...the golf was obviously fun no complaints there. But wow. the worst service ever. And it was dead. Our time got cut off 10 minutes early. Server was incredibly rude like anything and everything was an inconvenience even though all we ordered was beer and one burger that never came. Come for the golf but expect awful attitudes and even poorer service. Just go to haggin oaks.

First time at Birdies! Loren was fantastic. He was very helpful and attentive. The bay was fun I'm not a very good golfer but hey that's okay. Food was great and drinks too. I want to come back and try the brunch. Next time for sure! The restaurant was clean and I like the decor! Everyone was friendly it was a great experience!!

Fries. Some sort of fries. Kinda dry. Needed more meat!!

Came here to watch the World Cup, and thanks to being on their email list, I scored free tickets to…read morethe watch party! I believe there's normally a $20 cover charge, so it was a nice perk. One tip: make a reservation in advance. We were able to skip the long line, which made getting in quick and easy. My party of four was seated on the patio, but honestly, there's really no bad seat in the house. Tom's has TVs everywhere, so you'll have a great view of the game no matter where you're sitting. For food, we ordered the spinach and artichoke dip, fries, fried pickles, and I grabbed a beer. Everything was tasty, but the standouts were definitely the fries and fried pickles. The fries came out piping hot, crispy, and fresh, making them surprisingly one of my favorite items of the meal. I will say the prices are on the higher side, but for a big sporting event, I think it's well worth it. The atmosphere was amazing, the crowd made the experience even more fun, and the service was exceptional. Even though the restaurant was absolutely packed, our food came out quickly, and our server checked on us frequently throughout the game. Overall, I'd highly recommend Tom's for your next watch party. Between the atmosphere, plenty of TVs, solid food, and attentive service, it's a great place to catch a big game.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but our experience at Tom's Bar was extremely disappointing…read more We made reservations well in advance, paid ahead of time, and even arrived more than an hour early. We were third in line for the reservation queue, so we expected that arriving early would help us get decent seating. Instead, we were assigned seats on the open patio directly in the blazing sun. The patio umbrellas weren't working, making the seating area unbearably hot on a warm afternoon. We politely asked if we could be moved to another table, but the staff was unwilling to accommodate us. When general admission opened, we even offered to give up our reserved seats and move into the general admission section instead. Despite there being an opportunity to make that happen, our request was again denied. After only 15-20 minutes, we had no choice but to leave because the conditions were simply unbearable. Paying in advance, arriving early, and still receiving the worst seats--with no willingness to help find a reasonable solution--made for a very frustrating experience. Customer service is about solving problems when they arise. Unfortunately, that didn't happen here, and it left us with a very poor impression of Tom's Bar. We missed a good part of the World Cup Finals which was the main purpose of going there. Costed us in fee and parking and lots of unnecessary anxiety!

We'd absolutely come back if we're in the area again.

Thankfully there was still parking in the lot and seats inside. I was happily surprised there were still seats available as it was the USA game. The place was busy, but not packed. There were still a few seats at the bar when we arrived and a couple of tables available. It was the perfect place to arrive late to watch the game. This has turned over many times since we've lived here. Now it's a Mexican restaurant and bar. It's cleaned up well since we were here last. It has a very cute entrance. It has a couch and 2 shelving units on the sides of the couch. There is a sign above the couch that says Tequila Weill never break your heart. Veggie Taco Salad $14.75: Fired flour tortilla, pinto beans, grilled vegetables, avocado, sour cream, roasted corn & greens. It was very tasty. We loved the grilled vegetables. They were fresh and hot in the bottom of the taco salad on top of the pinto beans. The sour cream was drizzled on top of the avocados. Under that was a little bit of lettuce. There could have been a lot more lettuce. I would order it again. Mulita $7.55 regular price. $5 during happy hour, we sadly missed happy hour by minutes: stuffed corn tortilla, choice of meat, melted cheese ,with sour cream and guacamole on the side. I don't recall there being guacamole on the side, I think they put it in it. The Mulita was chuck full of meat, it was overflowing. It was very tasty. Though very messy. It's hard to eat with your hands alone. We cut it up into small pieces and ate it with our hands. We'd order it again. The ambiance was good. People were cheering for the USA. It was a fun environment. Subdued compared to other watch parties we've been too, but it was still nice.

As we looked thought the menu our friend remembered the bad experience he had last time with the Salmon Burger and went with the Hawaiian Impossible Burger this time. He though it was much better. My husband and I went with the BNB Cheeseburger: Topped with cheddar, hickory smoked bacon, homemade bbq sauce and an onion ring. My husband and I split it along with a side of onion rings and the three of us split a full Caesar Salad. For dessert we split the Nutella Cheesecake. The Onion rings were perfectly fried, nice and crispy. Some were tastier the others and the last couple of ones tasted better dipped in the ranch that came with the meal. The burger was very tasty and cooked to medium as requested. I really liked the BBQ sauce in the burger and didn't need the extra sauce they put on the side. The salad was plentiful and served 3 people perfectly. The Nutella cheesecake was good. I liked the crunchy bits mixed in with the Nutella, the Nutella was plentiful. The cheesecake was very fluffy. When we got the burger we asked if we could get a sharp knife to cut it and they said the kitchen would happily cut it for us. That worked out great as no one smashed the burger as they were cutting it. I guess we could have asked for it to be cut initially. Next time we'll think of that ahead of time.
