If I could give less than a one-star, I would. The bartender, Matt, took my daughter's real ID and demanded that it was fake. He was extremely rude and refused to give it back! Now we are having to pay $50 to get her a new ID from the DMV. After he asked for another form of identification, she handed him her credit card, then proceeded to yell "cash only" at her. read more

If I could give this review negative stars, I would. I walked into the bar, ordered a drink and handed Craig (the bartender) my card to pay for it. He instantly yelled at me and said "cash only, I'm tired of cards!" He had such a bad attitude. If you want to be a cash only bar, mention that before I order a drink. But thankfully Craig showed his true colors last night and I will no longer go to that shitty bar. No wonder why there was about 2 people there last night. What one should expect from a neighborhood bar. Great patrons, friendly staff and owners.

I love to shoot pool but the one and only table that they have is kind of older and they're felt is not great. Not only that there's very little Lighting in here. I went there a handful of times and although it's okay I would not suggest it to anybody. Anytime I've went in there at the bartenders are really grumpy and there's only about four people that I see every time I go there that are playing pool. My favorite local dive. The bartenders are stern but polite. Nothing fancy or extravagant about the place in the least. It's a great watering hole for you and your buddies to have cheap drinks, good laughs and watch a game. Plus they have one of the only decent full size pool tables in the area. Always good to come to a place that is just plain a dick. Was told can't play pool at 130 after paying for the table but 155 still here and definitely could've finished the game. Usually a casual place to get a drink, but turned off by latest stop by this place. The bartender singled out me and my girlfriend and yelled at us "CASH ONLY OR GET THE FUCK OUT ILL SEE YOU TOMORROW" as we were trying to order a drink from the bar before we could even say anything. I've been to a lot of dives in Sactown. Until last weekend, I'd never stepped foot in Club 2 Me. It just so happened that whenever my friends and I have gone out for a drink we've defaulted to some other option. Well, the stars finally aligned and I am now placing this storied East Sac watering hole near the top of my list for favorite local dive bars. Just stepping foot in the place late on a Saturday night was all it took to sell me. A drunk girl stumbling out the front door, a great layout with a long bar and pool table and a bartender who seemed totally willing to yell loudly and at random to customers he knows around the bar. He poured our drinks with a heavy hand, ramping up my intoxication level exponentially with each cocktail ordered. Unlike some of the shadier dives around town, it was a welcoming vibe as well. There's plenty a bar where the regular clientele stare you down, but here I literally got a "Come on in!" from one of the barflys. I'm sure there's plenty of opportunities to cross paths with assholes as well, but at least based on my first visit, this is a spot I'll happily return. read more

When I get there I'm like....why am I here, let's go somewhere else where is doesn't smell like ass. Was dragged her by my Bro day before Thanksgiving and of course it's super loud it's only like 8pm and people are wasted...like falling over wasted. Why they keep getting served it beyond me. The women's restroom didn't even have a lock and it's right in the open. There was liquid which I'm sure was urine and other things coming through from the men's restroom into the woman's restroom, totally disgusting. Protip: Go somewhere else read more

Rediscovered this place during a Yelp meetup and realized it met all the necessary criteria: shuffleboard, pool table, Golden Tee, long bar, good mix of bar patrons including college girls in tight pantalones. The pool table was only 50 cents per game! Be forewarned that you cannot find cue chalk anywhere in this bar (although hand chalk is available). We were lucky enough that another patron brought his own and let us borrow. The pool cues are kind of crusty and in need of chalking fairly often. The bartender here was cool. He replaced a glass of wine that had "turned" with a mixed drink and didn't charge. He acknowledged when I tipped him heftily, and refilled my ice water without asking when I was nearing time to leave. All in all a positive weeknight bar experience. However this place can get awfully rowdy as part of the Crazy Hat Pub Crawl. I've seen the bartenders demand "cash only" during that onslaught (which is why I'm still unclear as to whether they accept credit cards here). Like some of the honeys at Club 2-Me, parking can get a little tight in the rear. read more

One of my favorite afternoon joints in the area. The bartender is a stand-up guy and will learn you a thing or two about the ins and outs of the greater 916, including where to find the best after hours chinese triad mah-jong game. The pool table is 50 cents and hasnt been sat/spilled on enough times to make it unplayable, (see the Old Tavern or anywhere in San Francisco). On certain evenings, the Sac State Chad and Tiff crew shows up and its butts-to-nuts tit jobs and white caps, but that's most of Sacramento so its hardly worth complaining about. My only gripe is the barman never cuts me a deal. Hey, if I've been in there all day paying your kids' tuition, let's make that next Old Crow on the arm, bro! We stopped in here for my friend's birthday "dive bar crawl." I used to love dive bars but got out of the habit of going. This is a spot that seems like a fun hangout. Granted, we came in on a Friday around 8, so it was still early, and there was plenty of room and seating. The bar tender was cool and welcomed us in by adding credits to the juke box. He even put up with the slightly intoxicated impromptu karaoke in which some of our group partook. It has that yummy old bar smell that I can't quite explain. Shuffle board, darts, music, and a safari hunting game add fun activities. We had a few annoying members in our group, but the other patrons seemed pretty laid back about it. Club 2Me--- Strange vibey dive bar, the locals know it as a cop bar. While my guy had business to take care of at the post office a few steps away, he suggested I get a drink at 2Me and wait for him. Great suggestion, right? It's mid-afternoon, the place had a few patrons, all guys, no problem, sat at the bar and the tender almost refused to serve me! I'm thinking he's assuming I'm soliciting? Or what? I'm not the type to frequent bars alone but his attitude was judgemental, not friendly at all until my guy shows up. Total attitude change. Disgusting. Add to this some kids, maybe just turned 21, hung around us literally trying to get us to buy them drinks! WTF! We don't know you and wouldn't associate with you... I'm thinking Why aren't you in school?? Kids in a bar around 2pm trying to get drunk! Of course, the tender did nothing, even joking with these kids as if he knows them and they're regulars. It's amazing how many possibilities open up to you when you turn 21. I used to think Sacramento was the most dull, boring place in existence when I was growing up here. I disliked growing up Rosemont and there was nothing near my friend's houses in East Sac. If it rained on a Friday night we could get coffee...or coffee. And tonight it was raining but we were no longer limited. We parked at our friend's house only 4 blocks away and ran over to Club 2 Me. It's a weird little dive with a long row of bar stools, pool table, old school bartenders and unmeasured, heavy-handed pours. I've heard it gets crowded on Tuesdays with Sac State college students, but tonight was extremely mellow. The three of us sat at the bar and BSed about our life for a time with a few older neighborhood folks with nothing better to do on a Friday night. I had a not amazing whiskey sour, but it was strong and very decent. And given that it was only $7 for a double whiskey sour and a pint of Newcastle, you really can't beat the price. They also sell cigarettes behind the counter and you can enter/exit freely through the back door. This is also quite cool. I will be back for a couple hours, a couple drinks and a round of pool next time I'm in town. read more

Club 2me is sort of like the Cheers of Sacramento where every time you go you'll find someone you know! (and if not, you'll leave thinking you did!!) "Sometimes you wanna go, where everybody knows your name! And they're always glad you came!" I don't think I've ever gone here and not had an extremely fun time or at least created a new inside joke to tell for the rest of my life ha ha. Club 2me, is not a club at all, so don't let the name fool you, but it is a fabulous little dive bar that is always open for business and always brings in a social young crowd on thursday-sundays. Their drinks are CHEAP and the bartender is always there to serve you. They have a jukebox you pay to play your fav songs so you can tell when people get a little tipsy and start choosing songs like the grease soundtrack or other random titles like that, and of course their pool table and shuffle board table complete the space. read more

This place is an East Sacramento institution. The place is small, but manages to fit in a pool table, shuffleboard, a few TVs and Big Buck hunter (or whatever it's called...) On top of that, they tend to have cheap beers and mixed drinks, and are generally friendly. And if you happen to go in on a weekend, you are likely to occasionally run into an old acquaintance. But I've found myself going less in recent years. While there are some staple nights to go, I've found that the service - and prices of drinks - seems to vary on said nights. Case in point: I've gone in a few times on quiet nights with buddies to shoot pool and grab $3 Sierra Nevada's. But a while back I went on a really busy night, and ordered the same Sierra Nevada's. Except now they were $4 instead of 3. Not that I think the extra dollar for a Sierra is unreasonable, but when I asked the bartender if the prices on them had gone up, he looked at me with a straight face and said they'd always been $4. When I mentioned I had had them for $3 on multiple occasions, he got all pissy and asked if I was saying he's a liar. Just rude. I'll still trek over on occasion, just won't bother asking why my beer is $4 if it's busy, because apparently that's just how it works. Despite that experience, I still recommend people check this place out. read more

With drinks as strong as the ones served here it's no wonder the make out sessions started in the bar. If you're looking to see drunk college-ish kids grind and grope to crappy music, then Saturday night at midnight is your best bet. The drinks were almost too strong to ingest. I ordered a whisky and sprite and it was about 6 parts whisky to one part mix in a glass the size of a thimble. This was the first time EVER that I didn't finish a drink. I like to come here when I'm already pretty drunk, because their well alchy is horrible!! And all I drink is well so that says a lot! But I've always had good times here, I love the grungy feeling, the torn up old seventies furniture, shuffleboard, and the fancy juke box that is way out of place. The back patio.... well not really a patio its more of a parking lot with a bench and a tent over part of it. Classy! I wish this place didn't get so douche-y during the weekends but it does! My home away from home! I LOVE THIS BAR! ... close enough to cart-wheel home! When I first moved downtown, then eventually to East Sac, I thought I would never find a "REAL" bar until I stumbled into this little gem! Alot of bars nearby had the look, but were pretty much preppy/ hipster all the time. This is the kind of place where you can get off work, , throw on some boots and a t-shirt, pump the juke box full of country and classic rock, and have adult versions of a crazy night! The earlier you come, the better time to be had! THE BEST! UPDATE: I noticed a review on here that made an attempt to pull the race card... Bad Form! Neither myself, nor any person of color that I know that has come in here has EVER had a problem, so don't be discouraged by anyones negative experience based upon a negative attitude. read more

The 2 Me. Well for the location I thought maybe they had spruced up the old girl inside.....nope! Currently it has this odd vibe going on. This bar has ruined me for all other bars. I am a bigger guy, so when I go out I will usually have several drinks. Several drinks at the trendier (which I can enjoy) spots in Midtown or Downtown can get up to $40 or $50 pretty quickly. At 2me this can be accomplished for $20 pretty easily. So after spending 6, 7, or 8 dollars for the third time while out with my friends who prefer a more popular spot I am just about ready to pack it up and head to 2me. Combine that with a crowd that is there to drink and have fun, bartenders who are efficient at pouring drinks and keeping the fun at least somewhat classy, and all of the typical dive bar amenities (juke, pool, shuffleboard, photo hunt, darts, buck hunter) and it can be hard to stay away. This place is an easy 5 (very relative) stars for me (I doubt you would have to read very many reviews to determine if this is your kind of place). read more
