It was time for my 60k maintenance on my car and I really needed to get it done. I honestly put it…read moreoff for a while because the estimated cost from the dealer was astronomical. I'm talking $800+ for the "recommended" service given my car's mileage. Things are already rough for us local folks... $800+ would have been impossible. I'm also not a "car guy", so there's that. Thankfully, my wife took her car to Car Geeks before. I remember her showing me the multipoint inspection report with photos, recommendations, and suggestions for which actions to prioritize. I appreciated that the Car Geeks team provided that. Making an appointment was pretty straightforward. I told them what I needed and they answered my questions (I was particularly concerned about cost). I showed up to my appointment as scheduled. They completed the multipoint inspection and went over the recommended actions (brake fluid flush). I also received the results from the inspection in a link via text message. Once I agreed to the additional service, I approved it on the web page. However, in order to get the work done, the team needed to remove the tire for access. I explained that, unfortunately, my wheel lock key had not been returned by the previous shop I went to. In fact, it was my second set that was not returned. The Car Geeks team reviewed options with me again. They asked if I wanted to wait until I got the new key, but I said that was unlikely and I've been wanting to just switch to regular lug nuts to prevent future headaches. No problem. They were able to get that done for me as well. The team also kept me updated regularly during the visit. By the time the work was done and paid for (definitely not $800+), I was both impressed and thankful for their clear communication and teamwork. Even though I'm not a car guy, I felt like I was in the driver's seat the whole time. I was very satisfied with the work and will return to Car Geeks for future work. Mahalo nui!

When I brought the car in, they asked me for more information which I didn't have since the last venue didn't show me the leak. The team asked to look at my vehicle and after just five minutes they assured me no work was needed on the vehicle. The team saved me time and money and I truly won't forget it. My husband and I will be bringing our cars here as they easily could've charged me or taken advantage of my situation and they didn't. They saved a girl money, time and stress. They also educated me on what the signs would be if my cold line were leaking and I really appreciated it. Thank you Car Geeks!

Did my lift here years ago, also this event happened years ago. (review is very late, but started…read morethinking as I saw ads for them on Facebook regularly, people need to be aware of their practice) apparently they didn't tighten the steering knuckle lower 2 bolts on my Tacoma, clearly before I left I saw a thread sticking out on the lower control arm bolts, didn't say anything as I'd thought they'd honor their work, and thought they possibly even messed up the threads on that bolt that was loose which is why it didn't go all the way in, (as a mechanic I'm not going to touch something I'm afraid will break which would turn to my fault, liability is pretty important in the automotive service industry) they reassured me before I left that everything was perfect even though the skid plate wasn't installed as well until I said something, then within less than 6000 miles down the road and within less than a 6 month period, lower control arm came loose and went straight to the floor, took it back to them with a tow truck and they charged me for the labor to replace a lifetime warranty part from rough country as well as a CV axle that got damage due to collateral damage from the bolt coming loose. Clearly they didn't tighten the bolt with their response as "we loctite everything" well loctite only goes a long way when the bolt is torqued with a torqued wrench. A real shop would've comp everything and own up to their mistake and repair it for free due to technician negligence. But that didn't happen, rather just down another couple hundred dollars, around $800-1,000 to fix their mistake. But I mean the lifetime part was free which was great, one company at least honored something. Never coming back here again, neither will ever be involved with this shop ever again. Still have my receipt and can easily warranty stuff yourself on rough country website. Wasn't going to argue with these guys in person as they're pretty intimidated and aggressive when you put them on the spot. So it's easier to result in online reviews and let people know their practice as they're also firm with whatever they say with no room for talk or solution unless I'm guessing legal action is taken or a harsh review is made. They honestly just hungry for money, made the victim an even bigger one.

The customer service was that of a busy work place but respectful. The benefits still the same. Being on hawaii makes the cost so worth it. I rotate my tires every-time I change my oil so this alone makes it so worth it. The only downside is parking. Make your appointment early so you can get in and out.

Frustrating experience here…read more I was offered an appointment via yelp on a Saturday. After playing phone tag, the guy that answers the phone says Saturday isn't even an option as their alignment guy isn't in on Saturdays. I scheduled for today (Monday). Wheels were aligned in about an hour. I thought things were good to go. My tire pressure light went on while I was driving from the shop to work in Honolulu. I called the shop immediately and someone said a manager would call me back. No call ever came today. I took my car to get my tire pressure checked. Only one tire was filled to 33. The rest of them were filled to 18!! My goal tire pressure per the manufacturer is 35. Now I'm questioning the entire accuracy of my service. My two rear tires are brand new (literally days old). The only reason I didn't get my wheels aligned at Lex Brodie's where I got the tires, is because they don't align Audis. Super disappointed in the service here. I've never in all my years of driving had tire pressure that low, and to have it that low after a service is astonishing. Update: 6 days later and no response from the store via phone or yelp. My message got left on read.

Do NOT go to the Honolulu/Mapunapuna location ! ! ! The Company Core Values states that: "Service…read morethat goes the extra mile! Because we're the experts and we care about your safety, we take extra care when inspecting your vehicle and tires. We gain trust by doing what is right. We built our business based on trust and avoid anything that will break that trust." This is false advertising. My husband went there for a simple service regarding his tires. He agreed to their premium price. Without going into detail, there was a serious safety issue with my husband's car. My husband informed them about the problem; however the representative was reluctant to investigate the problem. The representative stood by his "experienced service staff." So my husband went to a reputable tire company to investigate the problem. The company discovered and concluded that American Tire Company negligently installed the tires improperly. Moreover, American Tire Company installation standards are generally set for commercial vehicles and NOT according to the specific type of vehicle that requires service. There is a sign in their office disclaiming that they are not responsible for any damages to the owner's rims but they claim to be very careful. Now I understand why they posted that disclaimer in the office. I issued a complaint with BBB. American Tire Company failed to offer any reasonable settlement. The Honolulu location is not trustworthy. I remember when the company was on Colburn St. when the company first started. SHAMEFUL! ! ! Maybe this location suits commercial vehicles only. "Quality repair services" ..."perform accurate and friendly auto repairs and tire services" is false advertisement. "We maintain a culture of respect, honesty, and commitment that extends to our people; both internal and external." These are all false statements in their website. "Caveat emptor! ! !" My advice is ....don't go to the Honolulu shop.
