Sauerbraten with sauerkraut and spätzle. Tasty!

As the years pass, this place remains excellent. Having lived in Germany for 3 years, this place is the gold standard of German food in the Greater Cleveland area. Service is always good and the setting is cozy. Nothing here is frozen and reheated. Everything is done the old fashioned way. If you are craving German food (as well as Balkan!), this is a must visit!

I heard Cleveland is known for Chicken Paprikash and this restaurant is known for it. Came on a Monday night and it was pretty busy. I was able to get a table pretty quickly though. The inside has a full bar as well. When looking through the menu there was a lot I wanted as they are also known for their Wienerschnitzel as well. Fortunately the waitress offered me the option of getting Wienerschnitzel with the Paprikash gravy. Food came out fast and was very good. I was also very happy with the portion size.Unfortunately I had no space for dessert.

Surprised my mother with dinner at Das Schnitzel Haus for Mother's Day! Obsessed with this German Chocolate Martini, it was so good! Incredible authentic, house made German cuisine and Schnitz Ale brews from the brewery across the street they also own! We love the gorgeous enclosed patio and massive portions! Make sure to check out their other locations Brankas Bake Haus in Brunswick and Schnitz Ale Taphaus! We had excellent service and there is plenty of parking spots available in the lot! A German restaurant that serves a variety of schnitzel dishes. It was busy while we were there, but we were waited on quickly. Our waiter was very attentive. We sat inside, but there is an enclosed patio as well. The food was fantastic. I didn't think I would enjoy it so much. The prices are on the higher end, but the food and service are excellent.

Went here Christmas Eve for Dad's bday dinner before church. Our group of 7 was seated in the party house next to the main building. LOVED the coziness and holiday decor. Wonderful atmosphere. It could seat several other largish parties, too. We all enjoyed our meals. I had the Deutsche Platte, basically a German sampler platter. If you are unsure what to order and eat meat, this is a great option. Only slight miss was that our server could have mentioned that my son's lamb shank would take 20 minutes. We were a bit time-limited; we also should have mentioned that to our server when we sat down. Not a big deal and we were enjoying our company.

Borden K was very friendly & patient waiter!!! He kept up the best he could!! Very clean place with nice wall decorations!!! Restrooms are small, but very clean!!! Parking is limited!!! Calamari was delicately fried to buttery perfection with a lemon creamy sauce. Chicken paprikash had big chunks of moist chicken and a wonderful sauce with a side of buttery soft spaetzle. The liver dumpling soup was wonderfully savory with two nice liver dumplings within. Lovely service and delicious hefeweizen too!

Das Schneitzal Haus is a favorite in Parma! Authentic food and atmosphere, you're sure to walk out with a full belly and great service. Their menu has changed recently, with less options, but it looks like they still have all their house specialities. The previous menu was a whole book, and I get overwhelmed when presented with too many options. Food- If you're a meat lover and want to try a variety of items, the Wurste Platte is for you! Honestly, it's enough for 2 people to share. It contains Bratwurst, Knockwurst and Hungarian Sausage. Served with 2 pierogies, caramelized onions and sauerkraut. Beer- Locally brewed and homemade! Goes great to wash down dinner!! Parking- it's hidden, but parking is also available in the rear of the restaurant!

Lets just say I liked it the last time i went there. What a happened? Two Chances, the first take out was wrong order drove back there took back and got the right order, but food not so good after all tonight, very disappointed they hung up on me when I called.

I have been here a few times in as many years. I haven't had a bad experience at any visit. The waitress is always friendly. Some days are busier than others. And you have to expect longer service delays. But that's not a problem for good tasting food. This place is located on pearl road just north of snow road. It's in a very easy to get into and out location. I was told they have a brewery across the street. But I have never been to it.

Thursday, November 16, 2023 Das Schnitzel Haus tastes like childhood. From the food, to the drinks, to the atmosphere. Such comforting food. The sauerkraut is phenomenal. A MUST when you're in town.

This was visit the family had to do per our mother/wife. You approach the building and then walk inside and you can really feel the German pride at Das Schnitzel Haus. We go there a little after them opening and there already a good number folks in already. As time went on, it really started getting packed, which had you feeling that was bound to be really good. Ashley was our server. Very cheerful and was aware of dietary restrictions because the menu is not labeled but the kitchen can make adjustments for a few dishes. I selected the baked walleye, gluten free with no breading. A good sized filet of walleye and it was cooked so well with the spices and garlic butter. I really liked the green beans with the garlic flavor. The potato salad looks like au gratin potatoes but it doesn't have the taste. Definitely a bit of a shock to me. A had a little bit of it, my mom really loved it so she's getting the leftovers! My parents got their own wurst plattes. A bratwurst, knockwurst and a Hungarian sausage. Sizable links for sure. Really good and strong flavor on each. My brother got the burger with french fries (at a German restaurant, but whatever). It was well complemented with the cheese, German spice blend and toppings. One small negative was the patty size was much smaller than what we're accustomed to having. Overall, still good he said. Overall, really enjoyed my time there. It sure seemed like everyone else was too. Danke Schoen Das Schnitzel Haus!

The staff is friendly. The service was very slow. The portion size on one of the meals was not worth the price. They did have a nice menu selection.

It was busy without seeming crowded. The space was spacious, well decorated, unique and made good use of space. The bathrooms downstairs were artsy and in good taste! Menu was kind of limited but I have a feeling they try new things all the time so it was exciting to pick from. Too bad they ran out of some things when we went. I ordered the fried chicken dish which was fried to perfection, well seasoned and paired interestingly with pickled veggies. The portion was tiny but on par with something I would expect in a place like this. I also ordered 2 oysters for $9 which were the tiniest oysters I've ever seen. Sure, they were good but I would not get them again. My girlfriend ordered a canned non-alcoholic drink for $6 (way too expensive for a soda!) and the brussell sprouts. They were good but there was only 4 of them! Our server gave off a "I'm too cool for this gig" and dismissed my order when I asked for the chicken. He recommended the lamb which uh, was almost 3x as expensive as the chicken and not something I wanted as a light late dinner after a show... My friend's SIL worked here so she was warm, welcoming and gave us a great seat. So yeah, it's not the best restaurant in Cleveland or anything but there is something to the hype and if I do get the chance, the brunch looks amazing!

It was topped with a thin layer of rhubarb jam that brought a nice tartness along with a dollop of sorghum butter and whipped cream, and served with Ohio maple syrup on the side. Unfortunately, they couldn't put us together, but we made it work. The location has a spectacular view of Cleveland's skyline. Even with some haze, it was lovely. The food was a hit with everyone. We started with the clothesline bacon and a cinnamon roll. It was perfect for our table. The bacon was not candied as described. It was good, but not something I'd order again for the price. 5 "ok" sugared bacon. The presentation was cute and the blueberry preserves were tasty. The sliced baguette toast was way too hard (break a tooth hard). My Florentine Benedict was cooked perfect,y. I opted for the fruit instead of the potatoes. I didn't realize it would be a $4.00 add on, but it was fresh and all the fruit was perfect. Others had the chicken and waffles, with a side of blueberry sausage, a smash burger and various yummy cocktails. My pomegranate mimosa was delicious and the plump blackberry was scrumptious. The family wall of pictures was a great tribute to life, family, love and Michael T Joseph who sadly died too young. It's a wonderful place to go with friends and family. So we sat right at the window along the river with a very nice view. Quickly thereafter a bubbley, smiling face arrived by the name of Sara. She brought us our water and took our drink orders and away she bounced... marvelous. Shortly after, she returned with our drinks. She very effectively answered our questions and we placed our orders. We were both not too hungry so we stayed with the starters menu. We shared an order of the "Heavenly Biscuits" and I added the "Marinated Olives". Then we both had a bowl of the "Lobster Bisque". Everything showed up in a timely fashion and in proper order. All of it was excellent. I must say, the bisque was exceptionally meaty. A pleasant surprise. As we were finishing up I mentioned I was looking forward to coffee.
