We were seated inside as we were told that outside had a wait time that couldn't be demented. Our server took awhile to show up. We had to go back to the hostess to ask if they could get our server. Turns out it was a bartender which was odd as we were not right next to the bar. Anyway, server was miles. He was polite and took our order when he got there. All orders were correct. Food did take awhile. Could also hear the kitchen yelling out orders and saying that they needed things on the fly etc. Restaurant talk. I'm sure sitting outside would've been nicer but no idea how long the wait was. The pepperoni flatbread was good but really spicy. Lobster bisque was excellent. Review 2, went back for Sunday brunch when parking is free on the street. It was wonderful very limited brunch menu of only four items but the whole menu is otherwise available . Return to the bacon and eggs and the granola yogurt. Bacon is heavily candied but tastes great. The potatoes and eggs are uneventful but filling. The granola and fruit is fresh and fun. I have visited the Lakehouse twice recently. On both visits, we were seated after a short wait. While we waited, I played cornhole outside. The location of the restaurant on the Cuyahoga River on the east bank of the flats makes it a destination. On my first visit, I was with coworkers for lunch. Our server was fast and friendly, but we had some trouble being seated due to their 'policy'. After we were seated, given menus, and drink requests were taken, I decided to request the curry bowl. While we waited, I walked around the flats. A while later, our food was delivered. My supervisor requested walleye and my coworker requested a veggie sandwich with fries. The fries were served shoestring style and they were cold. My boss said his walleye was excellent. My corworker said her veggie sandwich was delicious and it was huge. My curry bowl was excellent. On my next visit, I felt like I should request the curry bowl again, so I did. Again, it was delicious. I really love curry flavors and it wasn't spicy. Definitely recommend. read more

We stopped in for dinner and were definitely impressed. There are great views of the river from some tables. We ordered their Tinga chicken bowls and I was honestly surprised at how tasty it was. I wasn't all that hungry but I cleaned my plate because it was so delicious. Just the perfect hint of spice but not too spicy. Food was hot and fresh, chicken was seasoned perfectly. We got a table near the front so we could see outside and the stadium across the way. We ordered a couple fish sandwiches and guac & chips and the sandwiches were just okay, nothing special. We ended up with two different servers and Sarah was the better of the two by far and we're glad the first guy went on break or whatever. Great experience we had a server named Sarah and one of the person sadly I don't remember his name. But Sarah was super sweet and brought all of our food out in a timely and great manner. We have no complaints. The shrimp and fries platter came with another side I subbed it for veggies and it was good! I had asparagus which was a nice balance we also had the chicken tenders and fries it was really good. The salad with salmon was seasoned well and cooked well also. Pleasantly surprised at how much we enjoyed our visit to The Lakehouse! Hubby and I had ticket to a nearby event, so we were looking for somewhere to chill and grab a bite to eat, beforehand, on a Friday evening. We had a reservation for dinner, but arrived during Happy Hour and decided to sit at the bar. Bartender Michael, was attentive and friendly. We ordered wings, firecracker shrimp, flatbread, fries, beer and a margarita flight. The flight was perfect, 4 different margarita flavors, traditional, strawberry, pineapple and peach, yum! The wings, shrimp (served on top of asian inspired mixed greens), flatbread and fries were plentiful cooked perfectly. We had plenty leftovers to take home. This is a cute restaurant located on the canal with a beautiful outdoor patio. Perfect view of the sunset. I didn't feel out of place wearing jeans. I sat at the bar and enjoyed the decor and vibe of the place. Unfortunately, the bartender, Angelina, was non attentive & I ended up getting help several times by another waiter passing by. That waiter (passing by) was Siaa, & he said it was actually his first night. He ended up taking my order & then also getting me silverware since she dropped the ball on that altogether. I understand, she was young & flirting with guys seated at the bar. Shoutout to Siaa for taking care of his own tables & me. As for the food & drinks; I ordered the Lobster Dip & it was so creamy & delicious. I could've ate a whole bowl of just it. I also ordered a Lavender Cocktail & it was amazing. I also ordered the Maine Lobster Roll. I was disappointed in the roll. The bread was stale even though it looked like it was toasted to golden perfection. I ended up eating the lobster out of the roll with a fork. The lobster itself tasted delicious. Overall, I am leaving 3 stars due to the lack of service from Angelia & the stale bread. There are so many things that this restaurant could improve upon to make it stellar. I'll start with the restrooms. They were dirty, and out of toilet paper--one stall out of three had a half a roll of TP and everyone was waiting to use that stall. As I walked out of the restroom, there were a bunch of employees standing around doing nothing. Maybe they were waiting for orders, or drinks, to serve to the customers however, they should've sent someone in to check on the bathroom. Upon entering the restaurant, we were met with a very ambivalent and rude hostess. She never made eye contact. She never smiled. We were shown to a table. Told that a waitress would be by soon. And left alone. It was a little while before someone came, but they did come and they were very nice. After taking our order, however they left several items out. So I had to wait until I could flag her down get those items, and also a refill on my drink. She never came back after that until it was time to pay the bill. The placement of this restaurant is very good. It is on a river and boats are going up and down and it's a beautiful scene. The tables outside were nice, and with that great view we were really enjoying ourselves. We did notice, however how dirty the floor was and I don't know if they ever hose it down or even sweep it. If I had a patio with that kind of a view, I would want to make sure that my guests were well taken care of. I thought a great deal about the cleanliness of the restaurant, and wanted to come back However, It was such a disappointment. Actually the whole neighborhood down there in the flats isn't much to talk about. It's full of bars and restaurants that people probably under the age of 30 would want to go to. The sidewalks were dirty. There were cigarette butts everywhere and it was just a mess. I can see why older people or out of town folks might not want to go there. They really need to start taking care of the flats if they want customers. Oh, the food. It was just OK, not great. read more

As a family of four with a service dog, that was the best! We loved the ambiance and it made our lunch nice and relaxing compared to the busy day we were having! The wait staff was patient and kind. The thing that drew us in, was the 'best' calamari and clam chowder that we saw on Yelp. Once we got there, neither was on the menu. We decided to split the fish and chips. Interestingly, it came out within minutes. Our drinks weren't even there yet. I assume that someone cancelled the Order because either the fish or the fries were just out of the fryer. It felt/tasted re-warmed. Note to servers: when a senior couple ask to split a meal, it would be nice to get an additional plate, napkins and silverware before the meal is 1/2 over. Took a while but we were fine just enjoying the view outside. Food finally came and the shrimp was cold, so was the pizza. We ate the pizza because we were hungry but the shrimp was awful. We told the waitress, she did nothing. When she came back we politely asked to have it removed. The mgr came by and politely apologized and asked if we would want another serving. At this point we said no just have it removed. Pizza cold to but we ate it so that's fine. And the biscuits were great. We weren't upset as she apologized and said we understand ,no problem. They came back and said they'll remove The $8 biscuits but charged us for the 16 bang bang shrimp. I thought it was a mistake and said something to the waitress. She said that's what the mgr said. So we still tipped but deducted $7 of the $8, more that the shrimp. cost. Never had an experience like this before but we won't be going back. read more
