I returned to Albuquerque for the balloon fiesta and found that D& B was right by our hotel. I was looking for an activity for my son and niece before our flight back home and this was perfect. We did have an issue with our cards but it was easily and quickly corrected. The food was okay and the service struggeld. The weekend we were there they shared that there had been call outs and that the staff wasn't expected for another few minutes. We ended up waiting and could tell that it was an off day. If you want good service to be a part of that experience do not expect much. Our server was Leticia and she was pretty unfriendly and not sociable. To not even smile at all is pretty unfortunate. We had a group of 10 who were visiting from out of town for a conference. The service for food was slow and we were never able to catch our waitress for concerns or questions. Rarely did they come to our table and refill drinks or check on us. My only problem was cashing out and not receiving my food receipt for work purposes. I called the next day and the girl on the phone was rude about me asking to get my receipt emailed to me for work since it was not provided to me while I was there. The wrong receipt was sent to me, so I attempted to call back the following day. There was no answer and I left a voicemail and had not received a response. I called today, the following Monday, and it was the same outcome. No answer and I left another voicemail that probably won't be answered back. I would like to see better service to those who are from out of town for work trips and such. read more

This is definitely a pretty awesome fun center that is full of arcade games, food and a bar. My only complaints is that alcoholic drinks that were empty were left around the places and could have put minors that are without supervision at risk. Maybe hiring someone that exclusively takes cares of collecting empty drinks. We found some also in the bathrooms and family restrooms. If not have waivers for parents to be responsible for keeping an eye on their kids to prevent them from drinking from alcoholic left overs. Other than that I feel prices are reasonable. The alcoholic gel shot was definitely an experience that can be enjoyed or disgusted. read more

DO NOT GO HERE AND DEFINITELY DONT ORDER COCKTAILS!!! Went there before a basketball game and sat in the bar area. First, place was empty, which should have been clue number 1. Service was horrible. It seemed like she was ill prepared by the leadership team to be waiting tables by herself. Food was bad, even for fried bar food. Worst part was we were sitting in the bar and being in the hospitality business I watched the bar tender short pour drinks all night. At a point we ordered shots of vodka. Being a former bartender at night clubs in Los Angeles I understand measuring drinks using speed pourers. Every drink was only 3/4 ounce. I asked the bartender who said their standard was 1 1/4 ounces so I asked her for a measuring cup because the drinks were short. Her response was "do you want me to get a manager?" I really had no expectations as we hadn't been here in years but we really liked it. We hosted a small family get together for a 3 year old bday party. The drinks and food were really good and reasonably priced. If you hit happy hour the wine and beer and margaritas are a major s up. Horrible. Horrible service if you even get waited on. We stood at the front as soon as you walk in for over 25 minutes! Not one waiter, waitress, or worker came by to seat us. So we just headed to a seating area on our own, and found the worker supposed to be working the entrance area chatting up a friend that was seated. WOW! Guess you get what you pay for. We will not be back to this location if we can help it. They are the only type of place like this in the area, so they can get away with bad service. People keep coming because there is no other place like it to go. If someone were to come in and offer minimal customer service, this location would surely go under. You saw it here first. They have a lot of tv's to watch all of the games on, but we will try to find that some place with better service that has the same. read more

Terrible experience. If I could give it 0 stars I would. The server was great and tried really hard to change things but it went beyond her control. The cook walked out during dinner service, we were told the manager was cooking the food. We accepted it and respectfully stayed. The food came out sporadically half of our group had food and hour later the others got their food the food was cold, burgers were either overcooked to a crisp or severely undercooked. Nothing in the middle. It took 1 hour and 30 min to get all of our food and another hour to correct the tickets for them to still be wrong. we were charged twice on meals so that the discount for the terrible experience could be discounted at 50%. Who does that! The server tried to take care of it all because of the course the manager was the cook. Thanks for trying! We get the manager in the room and of course she is rude and unapologetic. Dear manager, I understand your people let you down tonight but close the kitchen if you can't cook and/or handle the consequences of your actions with grace. I would think twice before going to a place where you can see the lack of support by a manager. Sure she tried to be the hero but it's obvious she failed at kitchen duty. I don't question why any staff person or blame the cook for walking out. Solely on how the manager left her team to sink by leaving them to handle the circumstances of her actions. they were forced to respond to her inability to accept her failures in trying to be a cook. We had a great time at Dave & Buster's today! We went in the early afternoon around 1:30-2pm, and our service was excellent. The food we tried was all great and we were quite full after trying the bacon burger and mushroom burger (which had a unique Guiness marinated mozzarella that was really great. The truffle parmesan fries were great, light on the truffle which I really appreciated. Finally the creole shrimp dip appetizer was very tasty and cheesy. The chips it came with were hot and crispy, although I noted they were tortilla chips and not wonton chips as I had read on an online menu. This may have been an update to the menu, I failed to check for that detail at the table. For a Friday afternoon it was busy, but not crowded. There was a carnival vibe in some areas with some classic fair style games like the strong man mallet and ring toss. There were also some interesting mobile game analogues, and a surprising one-button Flappy Bird. The games were fun, and we only noticed one that was out of service (Wheel of Fortune). There is a rubber ducky claw game that is "play until you win" which is satisfying for anyone who has lost at claw games a lot in the past. I got the duck I was aiming for on the first try! Overall a great experience, and we will definitely be returning to use the rest of our tokens and spend our tickets in the gift store, as well as to try more of the offerings from the food menu. read more

We made the grave mistake of going here for Christmas for dinner. I ordered the ribeye medium rare, it was raw. When I asked to take it back and cook it more, it took almost 30 minutes and my friend had already finished her food. We had to ask consistently for things that were not received. I felt bad for the waitress because she was working 7 tables with no help. When we spoke to the general mgr, he said he could only take $10 off the bill, which he never did. I didn't expect this place to be a fine dining experience, but I expect to have good service and decent food and not have to wait so long for what we asked for. We had our NFL draft party there yesterday. And we just had two of the most amazing young men taking care of us, their names were Profumo (Ozzy) and Vince (Kevin). The service was great and fast, food and drinks were brought out to us quickly. One of the young men seemed new to the job guess that explained the vest he was wearing "please be patient" but he was very sweet, polite, and respectful! His manager was also dressed to impress and navigated the draft party very well! If you have a NFL draft party next year at Dave and Busters please request Profumo (Ozzy) and Vince (Kevin)! It was pretty good! I hated that I had to use a QR scanner for the menu so i had to use a friend's phone. Games were alright, it was a nice selection for an arcade but seems to mostly be mobile games set as arcade machines. I ordered a drink since it was happy hour but the price was still pretty high. After about 30-45 minutes, we flagged down our server and learned that our food was still not ready. We requested a manager visit. Sean, the manager, came to our table and shared that our server had not placed our order, after all. When he had told us that the kitchen was slammed. My husband described it as "Chucky Cheese for adults". A fairly good description. We went on a Sunday specifically because we heard they played all the football a fan could want. The Pros: Modern, clean atmosphere. Large menu with everything from mac n cheese to burgers. Prices were moderate, I'd compare it to an Applebees-type place as for the food selections. The televisions here are great for watching football. The games...oh the games! I took several laps through the game area and was impressed. Giant flappy Bird, Fruit Ninja, connect four, trivia... It was impressive. And my yelp check-in gave me 50% a $40 game card. Win-win. Not a pro, not a con: I ordered a burger. Angels weren't singing while I ate it this burger that most definitely had some kind of processed cheese holding everything together. The food be o-kay. Cons: Everyone we interacted with seemed like they had a late Saturday night...or morning. Zombies. Emotionless zombie? The contrast between the boisterous atmosphere of games and flashing lights and a zombie waitress...super obvious. I asked for mayo. She slowly meandered away. I saw her meandering around the mostly empty dining area for a while as I stare longingly at my dry mayoless burger. Eventually someone handed her a giant platter with a single mayo on it. I've come here on several different occasions- twice just for the food, once just for the games, and another time to play and eat (hint: if you go for the play and eat combos it's an even better deal. Can be a little pricey otherwise). Frequently, my go to has been the ultimate mac and cheese with chicken, bacon, cavatappi, cheddar, and a breadcrumb topping (bonus: adding green chile is a great and terrible idea all at the same time). Another great item is the pepperoni pizza pull apart bread. If you'd guess that a pepperoni pizza disguised as a pretzel would be too simple, you'd be wrong. (They even have adult snow cones). My other dinner guests have gotten the chicken quesadillas, california smoked turkey melt (which he wasn't as impressed with), when pigs fly (mini pulled pork sliders with fries), and a seemingly healthy portion of the bistro steak, lobster, and shrimp linguine. Then I accidentally spilled a half a glass of water, our waiter comes by and half ass job, with some napkins, rolls the water on to the ground, then disappears, evidently the bus boy comes by hands me a towel, but walks away with water all over the ground under my table, when he does finally show up again, I tell him, what the hell dude, where'd you go?? He's like I sent the bus boy. Then I guess he runs to his manager, instead of her concerned about our service, she tells me that I shouldn't have told the waiter that he sucks! Excuse me Harmony! Dave & Buster's is known for having arcade games in a mostly 21 and over atmosphere so adults can be kids once again. But what you really need to know about D&B is that their service is top notch. They really go above and beyond to make you happy and make sure your experience is enjoyable. My water glass was never empty and there is always someone around to recommend a game. Our waiter was the right amount of attentive while giving us space to chat and the bartender made sure the drinks flowed for everyone. Speaking of drinks, I LOVE their drink list! Where else can you get alcoholic snow cones that light up and drinks with sea monster that you can take home?! The little kid in me and my adult self can finally come together and have the best time ever! The food is great! My favorite is the dessert but I have a total sweet tooth. LOVE IT! They have decent "bar" food if that's what you're into and they make some pretty amazing cocktails. But the games!! Oh my goodness, the games took me back. They have Pac Man, a giant connect 4, skee ball, and a larger than life Rock em sock em robots. I took my kids and we absolutely had a blast! It is a little pricey so prepare to spend at least $100 if you're going to eat and play. If you're going to drink it will be a little more. However, unlike Chuck E Cheese or someplace like that, you actually get good prizes for the tickets you win. I splurged and let the kids play for a good two hours or so and they left with BAGS of prizes. I will go again for sure but I will have to make sure I have money to burn! read more

This really is not a place for young families. It would be only if all of your family members that you are going there with are all 21 and over. I wouldn't bring any young people here because drinking is allowed in the game and prize area. Dave & Buster's is like an It'z for adults without the rides. Who needs those rides anyway if you are indulging in alcohol? My daughters and I have been to the Dave & Busters in Maryland, and that one seemed a lot more civil as far as not having as much booze in the game area. Plus the location in Maryland that we went to had a convenient seating area beside the game area where you can see your family play the games in the close proximity. I felt that the Maryland place was safer for my children because I can see them from the dining spot, and there were not as many alcohol consumers. The Albuquerque Dave & Busters has a separate dining area, and you can only see the game area if you are seated at the bar. This is nice if you want to ignore all of the games. So, some may prefer this set up instead. It is okay I guess if you want to compartmentalize the whole Dave & Buster's experience. I for one would prefer some dining spots in the game area since I am a slow eater. This way I can take my sweet time eating a meal, while my older children can run off to play, but I would still be able to see them every now and again. The food we had was good. My husband and I shared the steak because we both really were not that hungry. Our meal was delicious. Our daughters each had their own plate -- one enjoyed a Macaroni & Cheese dish. The friendly waitress said that was a popular item. Then our other daughter ordered the Chicken Alfredo, and it filled her up. This is good because she is always hungry. We ended our meal with a fondu dessert. It was pretty good. I forgot to mention that my husband did not want to come here in the first place. He didn't think it was worth all of the hype, but after our meal, playing games, and picking prizes, he said that this place surprised him. I really do not think he'll object coming here again to celebrate something special. One of our friends is annoyed at all of the young people here. He mentioned it is like the parents just drop off their kids there and leave. I do not know if this is true or not, but if my children were younger, I'd bring them to It'z instead. I agree that there are simply too many young children here for my comfort level based on the alcohol consumption in the game area. The youngsters belong at Chuck E. Cheese or Peter Piper Pizza. In fact -- going back to my friend -- he also told my husband to not come here. This is one of the reasons why my Significant Other didn't care to visit here in the first place. I'm glad he changed his mind. He does agree that we wouldn't bring any young relatives here. I've always been a big fan of D&B. It was nice to come back to D&B for a Yelp Elite event as its been a couple years since I did a review and they have some new games. The pac-man competition was a lot of fun if you've got some friends to play with. But, my ultimate favorite is the 4-Dimensional game or the 4D game called Dark Escape this game is SCARY and very CREEPY and uses sound, touch, and you can feel the zombies as they approach you and you MUST take them down! Me and my boyfriend could have played this all night if it didn't scare the bejesus out of us! It even measures your heart rate during the game. It's nice to see Dave & Busters progressing with more interactive games. We really enjoyed our time there and didn't find the prices unreasonable by any stretch of the imagination. The only thing was that I was a little disappointed to see that they don't have their ashtrays anymore in their ticket shops (maybe to discourage smoking... which I could understand but I was planning on getting that for those who come to my house and smoke outside). But, not enough to knock any stars off. Good job D&B - we'll be back soon! read more
