This really is not a place for young families. It would be only if all of your family members that you are going there with are all 21 and over. I wouldn't bring any young people here because drinking is allowed in the game and prize area. Dave & Buster's is like an It'z for adults without the rides. Who needs those rides anyway if you are indulging in alcohol? My daughters and I have been to the Dave & Busters in Maryland, and that one seemed a lot more civil as far as not having as much booze in the game area. Plus the location in Maryland that we went to had a convenient seating area beside the game area where you can see your family play the games in the close proximity. I felt that the Maryland place was safer for my children because I can see them from the dining spot, and there were not as many alcohol consumers. The Albuquerque Dave & Busters has a separate dining area, and you can only see the game area if you are seated at the bar. This is nice if you want to ignore all of the games. So, some may prefer this set up instead. It is okay I guess if you want to compartmentalize the whole Dave & Buster's experience. I for one would prefer some dining spots in the game area since I am a slow eater. This way I can take my sweet time eating a meal, while my older children can run off to play, but I would still be able to see them every now and again. The food we had was good. My husband and I shared the steak because we both really were not that hungry. Our meal was delicious. Our daughters each had their own plate -- one enjoyed a Macaroni & Cheese dish. The friendly waitress said that was a popular item. Then our other daughter ordered the Chicken Alfredo, and it filled her up. This is good because she is always hungry. We ended our meal with a fondu dessert. It was pretty good. I forgot to mention that my husband did not want to come here in the first place. He didn't think it was worth all of the hype, but after our meal, playing games, and picking prizes, he said that this place surprised him. I really do not think he'll object coming here again to celebrate something special. One of our friends is annoyed at all of the young people here. He mentioned it is like the parents just drop off their kids there and leave. I do not know if this is true or not, but if my children were younger, I'd bring them to It'z instead. I agree that there are simply too many young children here for my comfort level based on the alcohol consumption in the game area. The youngsters belong at Chuck E. Cheese or Peter Piper Pizza. In fact -- going back to my friend -- he also told my husband to not come here. This is one of the reasons why my Significant Other didn't care to visit here in the first place. I'm glad he changed his mind. He does agree that we wouldn't bring any young relatives here. This has become our go to date spot when we want decent food, various types of drinks but more importantly we want to be like kids. We try to visit middle of the week late night as to avoid the family crowds. We usually opt for the Power Play meals, it really is a lot of food but you need that energy to play. Food is good, nothing mind blowing. Service is always on par. The fun starts after you eat. :) The first time we went they had a bar in the game area which was awesome, we didn't have to fight to get a spot at the bar to be noticed it was easy and fast. Sadly the last few times this feature hasn't been up and running. The games are fun, I do miss the fun of having to collect tickets, now they put the tickets on your card but be careful some games make you put your card in not just to plus but to collect your tickets. There are typical games, skee ball, racing, shooter games, guitar hero (personal fave too bad they don't give tickets boo). You can easily spend a couple hours here laughing and feeling like a kid. The music is blaring and Games are cha'ching'ing, very similar to a Las Vegas Casino, but louder. The food is overpriced and mediocre. For an appetizer, I ordered the calamari- there were about 8-10 pieces of Calamari on top of a bed of fried onions, so it creates the illusion that you are receiving more than what you ordered. For my main entree I ordered the chicken wing and rib combo. The presentation was very nice, the dish came in a large skillet. The food, itself, came out lukewarm and too salty. The atmosphere is like a fast paced playground that both children and adults can enjoy. The staff are both quick and well rounded as they can either be waiting tables or helping on the arcade floor. The food here is pretty decent but is mostly inclined toward bar bites and crazy cocktail creations. The arcade itself has a good blend of both ticket dispensing and party games to fit the needs of all kinds patron preferences (I have lots of alliteration today). The order must be done online and the server refuses to take the order. So I used to work at Dave and busters as a server I worked there for about 5 months. I occasionally go in to say hello to my old coworkers or even there to grab a bite. Every time I have entered the restaurant the manager who goes by Drew has been nothing but a rude, disrespectful, and disgusting person. He has made me feel extremely unwelcome for just standing there waiting for a friend to sit and eat. He gives me nasty looks when I just enter. He is extremely unprofessional and while I was working there he was just as unprofessional. He makes people feel unwelcome and uncomfortable. When I was working there we got into a argument about a mistake I had made and instead of helping me fix the situation he cussed and at me yelled at me in-front of my coworkers. I was crying. I called off the next day with a back up person to cover my shift and Drew proceeded to take me off the schedule for a whole week for no reason. My friends and I were pleasantly surprised about the happy hour deals at the bar here and overall have a good time with the games. The food is so-so but the mini hot dogs are pretty solid. Our last visit here we had some rough service and circumstances. 1st- don't bother buying the big shared drink- it's almost all ice and no alcohol. We asked for "light" ice and the picture below is how much it was filled. We also asked to watch the NM United soccer game on one of their MANY televisions and they said "no because it's football Sunday." Later, after realizing our large group was not going to stop asking because we were around multiple televisions that were not being used, they said they didn't have the streaming service (fair reason... but why not for our only local professional team?). Plus- they used to have it! ‍ The servers also forgot and mixed up a lot of the food and drinks (not a huge biggie but enough that it's worth a mention). Dave & Buster's definitely doesn't sell itself short on entertainment. From the expansive game-room to the large liquor bar they have a little something for everyone. Though the game room is large it's not cheap by any means. $20 runs like water there as most of the games start at just above $1 a play with some running as high as $4.50 a play. Depending on your gaming choice it's safe to say $20 isn't going to cut especially with kids. The prize room has an excellent selection of prizes to choose from with the option to save tickets to your D&B play card. The menu in the dinning area/bar is quite large. They offer a lot of different choices ranging from appetizers to Seafood and Steaks. With that in mind the prices can be a bit high depending what you get. In my opinion the best deal is the eat and play menu just because the price for the meal and a $10 power card to use in the game room is a really good deal. For $8 more you can double the power play to $20. It's like your getting both for half the price if you got them separate. The bar on the other hand, if you're good with beer your in the clear. The beers are about par in price to most other local breweries. The liquor on the other hand expect to pay no less than $8 for cocktails and mixed drinks. It's a bit overpriced considering the amount you get. A margarita about 12 oz will run you $10. And doesn't even come with a second pour like most other places have for the same price. A rum and coke is about the $12. Compared to other bars they are a bit pricey but the bartenders are friendly and least you have several screens with sports to watch while your there. The bar stools are quite comfy too! Great place with a lot of entertainment but don't expect to spend less than $20. read more

When it comes to hiring good people, Dave & Busters should write a book. I was her for a special event, so I had a chance to interact with a lot of staff members and they were all awesome. Friendly, knowledgeable and having fun with their job. They really did a great job facilitating a fun evening. I was impressed by the game selection. Lots of games I have never seen before and a great variety. I was pleasantly surprised to be able to carry around my beer and play games. I thought that would lead to a messy game area, and that is absolutely not the case. Bonus, lots of places to put your drink down while you play a game. Ticket cost for the prizes seemed pretty reasonable. Food. Well... its terrible. Meatballs were dry and rubbery. Fried shrimp was fried WAY too long, leaving it chewy and crunchy. Pot stickers had potential, but where was the dipping sauce? Chicken on a stick was decent at best. The main menu might be better, but you will not find me eating here again unless 10 people tell me things have drastically improved. Bar looked well stocked and had a lot of draft options. New Mexico has a ton of tremendous local beers available, yet they only had 2 available. Glad I could have Marble IPA, but some more local options would be nice. Eat, Drink, Play. You'll get weekly emails with lots of opportunities to buy "chips" for gameplay at discounts and typically one offer per week in the app. Buy $20 get $20 in the app or with an email coupon is typically the best, and sometimes there are great Groupon deals too. Went to Dave & Busters for the first time and I had a blast! I was there for a private event on a weekday night. We had one of the back rooms as well as a certain area of tables for our group. The food we had doesn't seem to be on their regular menu, so they might have a separate catering menu. (Chicken, portabello mushrooms, meatballs. I thought the food was GREAT. But I don't know if that's only for special events and can't comment on value for price. I had a little bit of everything and liked it all!) The drinks are colorful and fun. The drink menu has everything you can think of! BUT their drink menu does not have prices!! That drives me NUTS so I made the bartender tell me the price of everything. haha I liked the drinks for taste and novelty, but they felt very watered down to me. Didn't love that. All ages can have fun here. The night I was there a 15-year-old was having a birthday party. There were a handful of kids about 10. And we were a party of over 21s. EVERYONE had a blast! And that mixture of adults and families worked just fine. There were plenty of games to choose from and it wasn't too overcrowded. The staff are throughout and are really like personal concierges. They can suggest the best way to get value through an eat & play package. They were all super friendly and want you to have a great time! We got a $20 play card, and that was just the right amount for me. Games cost different point values - some might be 8, skeeball is 2.6. Well I LOVE skeeball. So I just played that over and over and over again! Super fun!! You don't get tickets printed out any more; your tickets earned go right back onto your game card, and you take that to the store like a debit card to buy all your goodies. Was there with a great group of people for nearly three hours, with $20 of game play each plus the meal (which we lingered over and chatted); someone who wants to play more games will probably want to pay for more; your game card is rechargeable in-store or even from your phone!
