The only reason why I love coming to D&B is to watch boxing or UFC matches! It's nice that they don't charge you to watch unlike some places. The only thing unpopular in my opinion is the quality of the food. I've ordered a quesadilla that was unfortunately burnt! Seriously. Another negative is they've taken at least 45 minutes bringing out my husbands Mac and cheese. The waitress actually didn't even put and order in for it and when we asked her about the look on her face was apologetic. She did end up giving us free $20 worth card to play games so that's cool. Other than the food, the seating to watch popular fights or NBA, NFL or whatever sport is a great place to watch. read more

We went on a Tuesday night. Waiter walked past several times not even engaging me. Finally took a drink order and then killed another 10-15 minutes to finally decide to take an order. There were all kinds of servers just standing around; asked them and they told me I wasn't their table. Eventually a manager came around to see if an order finally happened. Ribs had no flavor and wings tasted like microwave out of a box. Almost 20 minutes from sit down at the half-empty bar to get drinks. Even longer to get food. Waiter was MIA most of the time and one of my friends had to walk around the bar to find him to order another drink that took another 15 minutes to get delivered. Children are permitted to run wild, so you'll be entertained by toddlers screaming at the top of their lungs and running around in the bar, tripping and getting in the way of patrons and servers. You can't bring your drink outside of the bar like you would at every other D&B in the country. We wanted to order more drinks but it took so long to get our waiter again, we gave up and finally got our check. A glorified Chuck E Cheese with overpriced drinks and glacially-slow service, if you're lucky to get any at all. They don't enforce the 21+ after 10, so the adults who are paying money to drink have to wait in the corral like cows until the slow-moving inconsiderate parents herd their kids out because management isn't assertive enough to kick them out (even though they get plenty of warning) so it won't be until 10:30 that the paying adult customers will be permitted to take their drinks out of the bar because Snotleighhh is too preoccupied playing Luigi's Haunted Mansion. No thanks. Wish I could get a refund on my card so I can get my waste of money back. read more

We went to D & B for the first time ever for my visiting grandson's birthday. We were not impressed. Our first waitress was not attentive at all. First of all she had no sense of humor nor was she nice to a little kid. We gave our drink orders and they trickeled out 1-2 at a time. I ordered a million dollar margarita before any one else was there and mine was the last one out and the ice was melted so it had been sitting. The bottled beer came out one at a time. One person ordered water and never got it even though we asked the food runner and the waitress more than once. The food was ok, sort of. We ordered a bunch of appetizers. It took almost an hour to get them all, one or two at a time and the caveman appetizer took an hour to get to us. The resturant wasn't busy, we went at 4:00 in the afternoon. It took her until shift change to come back and see if anyone needed another drink. The cheese bites were so overcooked they were tough and we mentioned it to our new waiter and he just shrugged his shoulders. The sliders were way overcooked and cold as were the fries. The kids wouldn't even eat the fries. My grandson had fun playing the games so that part was a success but the excessive wait for the food was unacceptable. We spent over $200 on just the food and drinks and probably another $100 on games. I can't see myself ever going back. The service was just really poor, especially the first server (blond, middle aged skinny gal) who never even smiled. read more

"The Dave & Buster's Diet" Went to Dave & Buster's for the first time with some friends for a birthday, a total of nine women in the party. We all ordered food and I ordered a side house salad and the nachos. Nachos came out cold and were hardly edible. This was brought up to the server who comped the nachos but did not offer to replace them. Another member of the party had the nachos also and they were also cold and were taken off the bill but were not really edible. Another member of my party ordered the steak medium rare and it came out well done. There was also no dressing put on the lettuce wraps and the service was very slow. We didn't mind the slow service as we are a bunch of women talking while waiting for food. The volume of this place is deafening and you cannot even talk to other people in your party, unless right next to them and talking loudly. The games were a blast and lots of fun and we played for a couple of hours. The recommendation I have is go for the games and skip the food. I arrived home around 10 pm and around 3 am became very ill and was throwing up and using the toilet every five minutes. This went on for a day and a half. I talked to others in my party and found one other person also became sick and we had both ordered salads. I decided to call management in case they could do something to avoid this problem for customers in the future. The manager was dismissive at best and wanted to blame me for getting sick, asking what I had eaten earlier in the day and took no ownership of two people in the party who ate the same thing and became extremely ill, trying to say it takes 18-24 hours to get symptoms of food poisoning. Needless to say, the chances of me giving their food another chance is slim to none. Hopefully they can have better training for their managers who speak to the public so people will feel they are being heard and not being blamed for illness contracted from eating the food. Every time I go to the sports bar you have to wave Down a bartender to get service. They will walk right past you with an empty drink or menu like they don't see you. Very bad customer service from the sports bar staff. I'm not one to complain but I had to say something. I watched several people complain about the same thing while sitting there last time and the place wasn't even that busy the bar staff were cleaning bottle tops and would be even look toward the customer side of the bar like ignoring them. read more

They never claimed to be a 5 Star dining experience so don't come in expecting that! It's going to get better but rating it a 1 Star based off of the first weekend? How shallow can you be? They are obviously working out kinks as any business would would that much business. I've been to other Dave and busters and they handled it well! Don't be such haters. The arcade was great but that's where it ends. The restaurant was pretty empty with only two tables seated and one other family was seated after ours. The sodas came quickly and the waiter was friendly and energetic. After more than 45 minutes of waiting for our food we gave up and asked for the check for our drinks. The waiter apologized and disappeared, seemingly to get the check. Nope. Instead he continued to serve other tables so after 5 more minutes we asked again for the drink check. He said, "My manager will want to talk to you" and disappeared again. Five MORE minutes later and we got up to walk out. We stopped at the hostess station and I shared with them what was happening in an effort to STILL pay for our 3 sodas. They apologized as the waiter finally appeared with the check. He stood and tried to figure out the cost of the drinks as the receipt was for the (absentee) food and drinks while I waited...again. Nearly $10 for 3 sodas and now an hour of waiting and begging to pay for drinks so we could leave. The manager finally showed up and after I explained (again) why we were leaving she said she wouldn't charge for the drinks then ran to retrieve my debit card. In short, unless you are willing to sit sipping vastly overpriced sodas and waiting for food that will never come served by disinterested wait staff we can't recommend the restaurant. read more

Believe the reviews about the food, kitchen and wait staff. Each time I've ordered food it has been cold. NOT warm - but COLD. Like others, we also had to track down the waitress to get our check. Pretty sure it would've taken at least an hour for them to notice if we'd simply walked out. Asked for BBQ sauce twice, food was slow and initial service was slow (getting water and drinks). Food is very over-priced for the service and food that is not very good. Way too many wait staff wandering around for this to be acceptable. It would seem that the staff would want people to be in the dining area and bar if that would be where they make all their tips. Games were fun but when I went back last night it seemed that several were already glitching or out of commission. Lost chips on two games. read more

First impressions speak loudly!!! Been meaning to come here since the opening and now I'm not so upset that it took over 6 months to finally walk in through the doors. We came in on an early Saturday afternoon around 3:30 after we finished up a few things and decided to grab a late lunch. We ordered a variety of food from the menu from both the kids and adult menus. The prices are insane and the food was not all that good, especially for the price you pay. I ordered the Philly sandwich and it's about the same quality of a subway sandwich, but twice the price. The service from our waitress was, for the most part, nonexistent and we had to ask to have our drinks refilled. We were sitting down at our table for almost an hour and there were only 3, yes you read that right, THREE other tables with people sitting down to eat!!! I would hate to be here when this place is packed Wall to Wall if the service is the same during those times as well. I have two positive things to say about this place and that is the staff on the gaming side we're friendly and helpful (probably because they're ripping you off with all of their expensive games and want to keep doing so) and my kiddos had a good time (on the gaming side) and that is what matters in the end!! Anywhere else you.m can bring drinks on the floor. That's the whole premise of this place, but not in anchorage. Instead there are a million kids running around. So we sat at the bar. Never again. We sat for over five minutes until the bar back asked us if we wanted water. Uh no. We're at a bar. Three bartenders and the bar wasn't even busy and they were terrible. I've attended for years and I'd be embarrassed if that's how I worked. Not to mention the bathrooms were out of toilet paper and there's some sort of funk in the sink as if it hadn't been cleaned. I was actually very surprised the food was not bad and my grandkids had a wonderful time playing the games I wish they had more kid friendly games .Mykids had a bagel wrapped hot dogs and french fries which they really enjoyed it they also really enjoyed their fancy dancy kids drinks don't know the name. We were excited to have a new place to watch our football games. We've sat at the bar and have gone faithfully for a few weeks now. On our first visit the bartender, Bree, was great she was very attentive and made good drinks--she no longer works there so now there's Jackie. Three Sundays in a row of horrible service and we will not return after today. Drinks are so-so but her service is terrible. You expect a bartender to be friendly, interactive, attentive but mostly hygienic. We saw her literally hack twice without even attempting to cover her mouth. First time she coughed over the liquor bottles second pass she hacked over the open fruit. D&B in our opinion would be better served with different representation as their bartender, or making sure your current employees are invested in delivering service in the manner in which you as a company promote. When your current bartender exhibits the professionalism expected by us as your customers (and we assume as you the owner) then we will return. Barring a significant change we will find an alternative venue. read more

Much larger than I expected. Went for lunch on Saturday. Expected it to be full of kids and it was. Staff was very attentive and accommodating. They wanted to make sure I enjoyed the experience. Each and every one were warm and friendly. Ended up being there for longer than I expected. Mainly because the games were fun. Down side was the food. Took an hour to get an app and a burger. Fries came out cold and it took another half hour. Not that the food was terrible buy any stretch. Just slow. Hands down the worst experience I've ever had. When we were seated people were starting to clear out and it was slowing down, but it took wait staff 10-15 minutes to even come by and ask us for our drink order, hand us some water and take our app order. The waitress came back 15 minutes later telling me they didn't have what I ordered (hot tea, which was on the menu) and still didn't have any one else's drinks. It took 40 minutes to bring out our drinks, and she forgot my drink which was simply hot water with lemon, not sure if they were brewing their own beers back there or they ran out and had to go buy more. Let's not forget to add that our food order also took a hour to come out, and when it did, I wouldn't exactly call it food. I wouldn't even give it to my dog. The steak looked like you resole your worn out shoe and give new life. The 'nachos' were honestly a mound of chips with the least amount of toppings imaginable, burnt in hell. And whatever specialty bun they advertise looks a lot like McDonald's, they must be brothers. Their 'cheddar' also looks a lot like what I call American cheese, who am I judging, again maybe they ran out and had to go get more. Like the beer. And where the hell did the appetizers ever go? Well they never came. Apparently a salad and pizza bites disappeared to neverland. We did complain to the manager on duty (right after someone else did the same, bad night D&B) she comped our meal and gave us some cards to use for games. Games area is fun. Restaurant sucks butthole. The staff is all very nice. The menu is what you'd expect of a typical chain restaurant. The only problem is the wait for food and drinks. We waited nearly an hour for food and our appetizer(which came out after our meals). Not sure why the food took so long when everything looks and tasted like it's mostly pre-made and just needs to be assembled. My meal came out cold(including the fries). Staff handled the situation well but the kitchen really needs some training or extra staff or something. For the price we paid($100 for 3 people) we could have gone somewhere with MUCH better food and not nearly as long of a wait for food. It was my dad's bday and since he knows that my my kids enjoy D&B, he decided to celebrate his bday at Dave and Buster's. My husband and I were hesitant at first because we had a bad experience with the restaurant before. A month ago, we took our kids there to play some games and decided to have dinner there. We sat down and waited for someone to take our orders. We tried to get the attention of some servers but it seemed that they were too "busy". We waited while chatting for about 15 minutes. NO ONE came to serve us or at least acknowledge that we were there (4 adults and 2 kids). We decided to give this place another chance since my kids love to play some games and its convenient to eat there while waiting for our food to come. The server was friendly and the food is good but the dining experience was HORRIBLE. Our orders came except for my daughter's burger after 15-20 minutes of waiting. The wait was ok since my husband and I took the kids to play some games. I ordered the philly cheesesteak sandwich and it came out incomplete (no onions, mushroom and peppers- beef and melted cheese on a bun) and my daughters burger came out after everyone was done eating. They were able to replace my sandwich after everyone was done eating so I had it to go. It was a HORRIBLE dining experience. We will go there again to play but NEVER to eat. The restaurant lost our business. There are other restaurants inside the mall and we will go there to dine but never again inside D&B. read more

We planned a birthday party to meet at Dave and Busters around 7. Called around 3 to try to reserve and they told us we cannot reserve to come early to put our name on the list. We came at 6pm to put our names on the list for our party of 20. Manager was snappy with me. I put our name on the list, I expected a wait. They told us it would be about 2 hours so we told our party to come around 730/8. Talked to a manager about our party being seated in a private room. They could not give us a wait time. Continued to wait without answers, kept checking with the hostess desk about being able to tell our party a time. Our party was ordering drinks at the bar and had has CRAZY wait times as well. Some of our party order appetizers around 8:30 prior to being seated because of waiting too long and being hungry. Finally got us all in the room, and seated at 9:09pm. We then order drinks and food. It is currently 10:30pm and the people who ordered prior to sitting down have still not received their food. Server Brittany (Bee) was amazing and tried to help us as much as possible. All other staff seems to be a little snappy. I understand it is crazy and busy but the service we experienced was not okay. The establishment itself is worth more than one star. However when you have poor customer service, that's the only thing that stands out. My family and I went there tonight. We decided to use the power card machine to add games to the card. I make my selection, the total was $66, and insert a hundred dollar bill. Then nothing happens. I call someone over, explain what happened, and they called over a manager. I explained the situation to the manager. He looked at me as if I was trying to pull a fast one on them. Then explained that he was going to get a second manager over and then will open the machine. He asked me to clarify what type of bill I used twice. And then was shocked when he opened the machine and under the money holder, was a stuck $100 bill. That situation isn't what earned the 1 Star though, it just sucked to be looked upon as if I'm lying and I was telling the truth. What earned the 1 Star was after my family and I left. We realized we left behind pictures from their photo booth (100% our fault). I called and asked if anyone had turned the pictures in. Daja said she worked at the front counter and no one had turned anything in yet. I asked if she would be able to look at the game i believe they were left at, she said no she was not by the games. I asked I could be transferred to someone who might be able to check a specific spot for me. She said, and I quote "I mean, I don't know who that would be, they're busy, but hold on" and then an automated system picked up. My husband drove back up there and looked exactly where I had thought the pictures were left, and sure enough they were there. Thoroughly enjoyed Dave & Buster's in the lower 48 so I was excited when one was opened locally. Games as always were fun, but the food and drink service needs a lot of improvement. The food section was fairly empty, waiters abundant, but we still had to wait 45 minutes for our waiter to see us. In fact our waiter barely spent any time in our section at all and was rarely seen. After we ordered food and drinks it was real quick for one of our drinks, but we had to wait another 20 minutes for a mixed drink which was very watered down. When the food arrived the appetizer came with the entrees. One of the entrees was completely wrong. When we told the server that wasn't what was ordered the only response was, "Are you allergic?". Finally our waiter came over to let us know they put a rush order on the entree. "Rush" meant that it was another 30 minutes. Overall I don't think I'll be ordering food or drinks at this location any time in the future. read more

I should have an option to rate 0 stars. First off, i waited 15 mins for waters, had servers switch up on us, and was getting talked to and annoyed by employees. This should be a place to eat to yourself and not feel like your being watched or entertain. Servers shouldn't be aloud to sit at the table while taking your orders...what..? also my pizza pretzel bites were f*king soggy and cold, the cheese wasn't even melted and it tasted like i was eating a soapy sponge. We came here for my sons 7th birthday since it is similar to Chuck E Cheese but better food....Horrible decision. We should have just choked down the mouse houses' cardboard pizza than waste our time here at Dave and Busters Anchorage. I called around 2 in the afternoon and I was surprised how quickly they answered the phone. (This would end up being the ONLY quick service we had during our experience.) I explained that we were coming in for a birthday party and had a large group of about 13 people and asked if I could make reservations. She said they do not take reservations and that it was open seating. Have a nice day. So we planned to meet our party there at 6pm, and perhaps this is where we went wrong. My parents arrived before us and were put on a waiting list where they text you when they are ready for you. The hostess explained to them that it was likely going to be a 45 minute wait, which we were fine with. We understand that we are a pretty large group to just show up. (After "checking in" to the waiting list we found out that you can go online and get put on the waiting list before arrival. THIS would have be great information for the receptionist to mention when I had called...) So we waited awkwardly at bar tables for the 45 minutes...50...after an hour my dad went and spoke with the hostess, which resulted in speaking with the manager. She explained that they had another party show up that was supposed to be 10 and had turned to 20 and that people were not leaving as quickly as they hoped. She asked if we would mind taking two booths so we could get seated, which we were fine with. Again, we understand we are a large group. So they seat us in the back corner two booths and scramble for two chairs and a highchair, which took another 20 minutes. A sweet little waitress came and got drink orders and my dad explained that both booths were part of the same party. She made her rounds for drink orders and left. At this time, the last two members of our party showed up. Another 20 minutes and she comes back with booth one drinks and turns to walk away again. My dad asked if they could get the nachos appetizer in which she agreed and turned to walked away again, not bothering to ask if anybody else wanted anything. She noticed our two extra people and took their drink orders and left. Another 20 minutes and a different waitress brought the new guests' drinks and walked away without a word. Meanwhile booth two has not gotten our drinks let alone any acknowledgment from the staff other than getting our drink order. At this point we had been here for TWO HOURS and only received half of our drinks that we had ordered. One of the five drinks that table two ordered eventually showed up with the appetizer my dad ordered in the same manor as the other drinks; by a different server that dropped it off at the table and practically ran away. By this time, the kids are restless and everybody is starving. A cup got spilled on booth two and we tried to clean it up but the "fancy" fabric napkins just pushed the water around and made it worse. I ended up using a spit rag from my diaper bag to absorb the mess. The water sat on the table for a good 15 minutes while we were ignored in the corner until my cousin went and spoke to the manager again. This prompted the waitress to reappear, and she started to mention something about her manager talking to her when my aunt interrupted her and asked for something to clean up the (obvious) mess all over the table. She quickly went to find something. After another spill we were done. OVER THREE HOURS LATER we got up and left. We tried to be patient as we know we were a fairly large group and they were busy, but this was just absolutely a horrible experience. Its not their fault that our kids spilled drinks that added to the chaos, but we shouldn't have been shunned in the corner and forgotten about. 13 people... that's a lot of missed of food, drink, and game revenue. Guess they don't need it anyways. None of our group will be returning any time soon. Way to ruin my 7-year-olds birthday. We ended up eating McDonalds at 9:30 after originally meeting at 6pm. Wasn't awful, wasn't great. We had plenty of seating for our group and no wait which was nice. The service however wasn't so great. Half the food was brought out 15 min or so before the other half. Once the food was brought to the table we waited for the waitress to come back with our checks, probably about 45 min. She didn't know who ordered what so asked the table again what they ordered. Only to bring the checks about 20 min later, still didn't know who's checks belonged to who and incorrect. I realize it's a new establishment and new employees, probably many who have never served before but 20 minutes for a check to be figured out after we had to wait to ask for them isn't how I'd hoped our first experience would be. Though I've heard not to expect much so that was good hah! Will go again maybe once some kinks are works out. Also tons of kids running around right now so hopefully you don't mind kids!
