Tuesdays are a great day to come in here as it is much more quiet and you can be seated much quicker. We started with one server who had the attention span of a 2 year old to the point that when you asked him a question, he would just look at you and walk away. We had a group of 7 and more were coming so we asked if we can combine tables, there was no response so we took it upon ourselves to move the tables. Another server came and she was very helpful and quick to take care of our party. Some people in our party had never been to a Dave & Buster's and they were definitely pleased with everything; we will definitely be back for future dinners. read more

There's not that many places that I know of where adults can play all sorts of games and drink. I think this place is fun if you go every other month.... but they have this special going on every Wednesday for half price games which is not bad since the games are quite pricey. I've had the food there a couple of times and it's not all that spectacular. I just like to go to Dave and Busters for the half price games and the half price cocktails. Not all cocktails are half price and it would be nice if it was a bit more stronger though. For about $3.00 dollars, I won't complain. I try and avoid this place all the other days. It's much more calm around 3-5pm on a Wednesday and you get better service at the bar.. I went with my cousin a little less than a month ago and the service was AWFUL! It wasn't even busy and it took the server forever to get us bbq sauce and he never refilled our tea... Bathrooms were in very bad shape (m&w) & a fine pungent vomit smell on the game floor closest the bar. Haven't been in years, but the game on the cost to consumer end hasn't eased any, so I expect clean amenities at least. The place appears to be headed south. read more

Me and my husband went her this past Saturday, 10/5/2019, and our waitress was very attentive at first but then some other people sat at another table (she had a total of two tables) and in the hour that we were there eating we saw her maybe 5 times. The food was not very good.. I got the chicken tenders because that was the only thing that looked good on the menu and my husband got a cheeseburger. We had to wait 20 minutes after we got done eating to get our check and a to go box. My husband is in the military so he gave the checkout lady his military ID to get the military discount but she didn't apply the discount. We got a power card but weren't able to use it due to our vehicle getting broke into. I don't recommend eating at this Dave and Busters but the games looked fun. CAR BREAKINS IN BROAD DAYLIGHT!!! I took my 7 year old son to D&B after school on 10/4/17 for a little us time. We had a good time. Good games and fun! Staff was friendly at best, it is a Dallas based business. As we leave and approach my truck, we noticed the back passenger side window smashed. The robbers took my bag that contained my laptop. No biggie I have insurance. My complaint is the management. I understand it's a parking lot, but the manager on duty could have cared less! Be careful at Austin's D&B. There are plenty of other places to spend your money on good food, drink and games, which they represent none of! read more

Dave and Busters is a fun place for adults to go have kid fun. The video game selection has been the same over the last few years. I would hope they update their games soon in the near future if they want me to continue going there. Few of the game machines were not in working order when I visited last week. The price of beverages seems pricey until you find out they have unlimited refills. Overall, I give it a 3 1/2 star. Would have given it a 4 star if all the games were working correctly. read more

I am having a problem with consistency. Had a meal yesterday was perfect great wait staff. But today not so much.The staff is short and short tempered. Food was beyond excellent yesterday and had to send it back and it came back a bit better but nothing like what it was yesterday. Remodel has not effected the game room or but sucks to hear construction equipment during a meal. I it seems that the staff doesn't want to be here. That sucks. Maybe they don't like kids. read more

The food and drinks was good that's the only reason they got 3 stars but when it came to service the waiter acted lost then when it was time for payment I got charged twice. So instead of me paying 24 dollars and some change they took a whole 65 bucks out my account.. Talked to the waiter and he said he didn't know that it takes the money right out then spoke with the manager not Tim and he proceeds to tell me that it was his mistake and I have to wait 3 days to get my money back into my account. Waited a super long time for food to arrive. Waitress gave wrong Amount of game cards. Terrible customer service given by Tonya. Hannah arrives to help, she tells the Manager Chris Davis. Great for kids and adults. Get the kids playing and you can relax and watch sports in the bar are or you can go out, play games with the kids, win tickets and get prizes. Bad is that it can get expensive very fast . I like to go in and play my nine year old in pool. Not nearly as expensive and it is a lot of fun. Food is very good, but sometimes service is a little on the slow side especially if you are in the pool area. Sometimes you come in they are using the pool area for private parties even though they have a private room and it is not being used. read more

First trip awful!! Extremely upset after my attempted trip to this business last night! After driving thirty minutes to this location with my date we were refused service because we came in laughing. I tripped on a step when my sandal caught the top of the step. The bartender tells us he can't serve us alcohol. Are you kidding me? I ask to speak to the manager and still the same result. The games were super fun. The games are half priced until noon so I would recommend going then because you get to play a lot more games. The credits are expensive but the games are fun and you can get good prizes if you save up tickets. Although if you have a kid or prankster in the group I wouldn't recommend the whoopee cushion because it breaks easily if you aren't careful. Overall, this Dave & Busters is fun! read more

The service was horrible. My daughter wanted to go for her 21st birthday which happened to be on a Saturday. We called ahead and were told that they wouldn't do reservations on a Saturday even for a larger party (at least 12 people would be coming). Got there about 7:30 - told that there were 15 people in front of us. Went to the bar and waited an hour for our table. Sat at one table and then had to move to another table after they figured out that we had more than 8 people (told them 12 to begin with). Moved to bigger table and basically ignored the majority of the evening. We had to flag down our waiter to get any kind of service. Needless to say, we ended up getting appetizers and then leaving to get food elsewhere because it took so long to get the appetizers to begin with. It's definitely one of the smallest D&B's that I've been to, but it was fun none the less. The food was okay, but nothing to brag about. The drinks are far too expensive considering their lack of liquor. My tip: Order a soda or virgin cocktail with an extra empty cup, a few good shots and make your own drink. read more

DO NOT PARK FAR FROM THE ENTRANCE OR BACK ROW. My wife and I had a pretty good experience for her birthday. Although a lot of the staff was misinformed about miscellaneous information ie. when happy hour was, beer on draft and names of said beer. We were told we could sit anywhere we wanted so we did but were promptly told we had to get in line at the host stand. The games are fun if the place isn't packed and the menu doesn't have drink prices on it which is annoying. The app works great if you want to load your card up. It's really easy and pretty quick. following the end of our night I went to my truck which happened to be parked in the back row due to a packed parking lot to find it had been broken in too and apparently it's common in that parking lot. The police aren't very quick to assist as we waited an hour and a half for them. The cameras in all the buildings only face the front of the stores and not much of the parking lot so it's useless to see who did it. BE AWARE THERES HOMELESS PEOPLE RIGHT BY THE PARKING LOT AND LIVING IN AN ABANDONED BUILDING NEARBY. it was broad daylight out and my truck was still broken into. It's not the restaurants fault but do be aware that parking away from the entrance is dangerous. read more

First off when you see the dave and buster commercials on tv, you see adults playing and having fun, not 3 year olds running around crying and screaming for their mommy. If i wanted to experience a child atmosphere not an adult, i would have gone to chuck e cheese, parents need to seriously take their kids to kid places! very annoying to all parents that take their kids to play there, yea i want my kids 3feet away from a bar!. jeez. We hosted a large party at the Austin Arboretum location. The event planner was wonderful to work with - she was responsive, consultative, and patient! She helped me work through all of the details to ensure we had enough food & beverages, a comfortable room layout, working audio/visual systems, and plenty of game cards. All of our guests had a great time, which is a testament to the Dave & Buster's staff. I continue to get comments from family and friends about how fun the party was. When planning a big party like ours, it is nice to feel like our business matters. The Dave & Buster's staff excelled in that regard. read more

So the games and atmosphere id give 4 stars but the service at the restaurant was god awful we have been to multiple Dave and busters in Nashville TN in Grand Rapids Michigan and this one here in Austin does not own up to the reputation and service at other ones the staff was extremely rude it was constant mess up after mess up wrong drinks were brought out to start then the wrong drink was still on the bill which was wine soo not cheap there then when it was taken off it was only half taken off it was an hour long process to get the bill right and pay it complete disappointed with the service the manger didn't even come apologize or anything this occurred on Saturday night July 6th at around 930 pm couldn't tell you who was working but they were all seagulls and not attentive to the guests whatsoever they were to busy standing at the waiter stand texting in their phones and watching he ufc fight. Horrible place that I will never go to again!! It was my sons birthday and he wanted to go. Games sucked and some didn't even work. Most of the food was gross, the burgers were just ok. I had a good time @ DB. Its your typical set up & the service was fairly decent since we came during a busy time. The food is good, the games are fun & the drinks were pretty tasty. We were able to watch the basketball at the bar, kept a running tab, played some game & then came back for dessert. Sunday's is $2 mimosa's and they weren't too bad. I'd never been before and was incredibly excited to see what all the fuss was about. I still have no idea... It's like a grown-up Chuck E. Cheese and it was fun to play some games while accompanied by my beer. Unfortunately for me, my waiter, while hilarious, was slow with the drinks. I'm in the restaurant industry and can be incredibly understanding if it's a busy night, or they're understaffed, or if something I ordered was difficult to make, but my job also makes me far less understanding if none of the above are in play and the service is bad. It wasn't busy, they had plenty of people behind the bar and on the floor, and I only ordered bottled beer- take it out of the cooler, pop off the top, and hand it to me. As it was, I found my server to order a beer and finally got it 20 minutes later. If I'd run off again to play games, I could be understanding of the fact that he'd had to hunt me down while dealing with any other demanding guests, but I'd made it a point to stay in the game-less, chair-less area to wait for him so he wouldn't have to hunt me down.
