Staff is friendly, but service is soooo slow. There was a long wait to get our drinks and even longer after that for our server to even think to take our food order. She brought us out the wrong drink initially, and a supervisor had to correct it as they seemed to know she grabbed the wrong one as she sat it on our table. The 3D Long Island was weak sauce and the vanilla old fashion was missing the cherry. None of the drinks have prices listed, not even sodas which I find shady. The cantina nachos were not good and definitely not worth $15. The Philly French dip was surprisingly good. The restaurant was not very busy, but the gaming area was small and busy. I would possibly try it again earlier in the day and def on a weekday. They do allow for drinks in the gaming area, but were out of angry orchard, which I wanted after my watered down drinks. read more

Don't come hungry. The wait times are high especially the bar but it's because they are understaffed. Our waitress wasn't rude or anything, she was nice. Some of us stayed after paying the bill and our waitress was MIA so keep that in mind. I'm only giving this place 3 stars for the food. I might of gave 4 stars but most of our food was cold, especially the fries. Anyway, I was surprised by the quality of the food at a place like this. I had the cantina nachos, this was really good. I had it for my meal. I tried my wife's fish and chips, it came as a huge fillet, I thought it was awesome. My sister had the Parmesan chicken, I got a bite, and I have to say it was amazing. The pasta that comes with it was delicious. Lastly I tried some of the Garlic Parmesan Truffle Fries, the 7-spice aioli was sooo addictive. Several others had burgers and noted that they were good, nothing to rave about but not bad. We all had a bite of the big daddy cake and I'm not a chocolate cake fan but dang this was good. The kitchen staff this evening completely failed. I don't understand how it's okay to send out food like this. Not pictured are my boneless Buffalo wings that had been sitting under a heat lamp for too long so the sauce was absorbed by the wings. We also ordered a Philly cheesesteak and it was inedible. I'm a sucker for Guinness, and when the menu said it had the cheese soaked in the good stuff, I couldn't wait. But wait, I did. Is 30 minites a long time from getting our drinks to getting food? Maybe not. But after already waiting 20 for the drinks, we are about at the hour mark of sitting down, and I wanna eat then play darn games. Just came back for another visit! This time, I tried the food. The other reviews are right; the service is very slow. Upon being seated and receiving plates, I noticed my plate was dirty with a few food stains -- no worries, I asked the waitress for a new plate. I was with a party of four. We placed our orders for the appetizer meal, and they arrived on time. We got the Shrimp Scampi Flatbread, and I highly recommend this! It's so cheesy, the right temperature, and nicely flavored. Afterwards, we were ready to place our order for the entrees. It took awhile for the waitress to come to our table. We ordered chicken tenders as well as the Mushroom Stout Burger. The tenders came first, however the burger took a long time to come. My party was almost finished with the tenders before we finally got the burger. The tenders were decent, but the burger was good! I would recommend it as well. Here's where service started going downhill. Four different servers came up to us with drinks we never ordered; the drinks were for a different table. We also had to wait a long time for the waitress to let us pay. Anyhow, I hope service will be faster. They're still new, so I'll try to be forgiving. We played games after eating. Compared to my last visit, I noticed they rearranged some games -- possibly to make room for some new games. I think there were a few new games? I still hope they add some more games. It was very loud. I think they should lower the volume of some games, if they can. During my first visit, it wasn't this loud. I also noticed they stopped playing background music, which is a bummer because I enjoyed their playlist -- or maybe I just didn't hear the music due to all the noise. I had such high hopes for this place, the D&B any other place is great. This one however is not. When we arrived the hostess ignored us, looked at us like we were an inconvenience, walked away and then came back 10 minutes later to greet the people who came in after us. Once we got seated we waited another 30 minutes for our server, after listening to the servers argue over who was going to take the table. More of a I don't want to take them, you take them situation. We order our drinks, they were ok. We ordered food, we got the wrong food, and no silverware. I had to go find someone after trying to flag down every employee who passed our table. The staff was rude, the tried to charge us for the food that we didn't order as well as the food we did order. Half of the games didn't work and it seemed the staff only cared about socializing with each other. I watched what happened to us happen to EVERY other table there. And to top it off my entire family got food poisoning. What a shame that these employees are ruining the corporate reputation of a fun family place. We definitely will not be back read more

Lots of one star reviews here but talking truth. No greeting by hosts, the food took 40 minutes for chicken wings, salad and side of fries. After 40 min. wait the fries were cold and the server did not like being asked for new (hot) fries. She never checked up on us and had to read instructions on how to make the drinks! We showed up, picked a table, ordered food, got it by a different server. Our original server didn't come to check on us maybe 15 minutes later we had to flag him down. Once we tasted our burger, it was charred on the bottom. The server took it back and said he would refill my drink, it's been 10 minutes again. No refill no burger and no server contact again. really disappointed in this experience and service. Haven't even got to dessert, and don't know if we still want it! I went here for the first time and was impressed. The Dave & Busters is in the parking lot of the mall so ample parking. The location isnt as big as other locations, but thats okay. When you enter you check in for a table. We were seated at the right corner of the bar, the place was so clean and tons of t.v.s everywhere. They have tons of armed security that walk around. We were served by younger big white guy with glasses who was very polite and explained some deals we could get with food and game card combinations. We ordered the tower beer, wings, fries, and Rib Eye with garlic fries and garlic mashed potatoes. Let me tell you the Rib Eye was huge and a game changer! Other restaurants you got competition with steaks! The garlic fries were fresh and crispy, the garlic mashed potatoes was so tasty. Impressed with the food quality, would highly recommend if you're in Bakersfield. The only knock of a star was a lot of arcarde games were out which was a bummer for my nephew who wanted to play the games that were out of service. They have red tags or red light on machine. The food was ok. 3 stars because the salmon plate was overly salted. Especially the green beans had a layer of salt. The games, security and fun on the gaming side are the only reason for the two stars. Mario racing game was a lot of fun. As for the food side, that's another story. This is the second time my family has had a dismal $100 experience here. The food was either cold, under or over seasoned, or gave two of my children stomach aches. But the service, man, either they are severely understaffed or undertrained. We waited and waited for every single stage of the journey. The decibel level was high enough to set off my iWatch warning - humming in my ears afterward. Lighting on our table was similar to a spotlight. This will be the last time we eat here. The ambiance was a bit overwhelming but you can't argue with it because it's an arcade so it's going to be loud. The absolute worst, most disrespectful, and downright horrible restaurant experience I have ever had, and it isn't even particularly close. Overall, we waited about 2 and a half hours for food that we were told was in or our order was put in and never came, rude staff and management, and their inability to handle bad and poor guest experiences like ours. I came to D&B for food and games, and ended up spending $40.00 on drinks and never got any food, because the staff fucked everything up so bad. I have left comment cards on their website, called their customer support line, and have never gotten a response from a human being, and this was almost 3 weeks ago. I wish I was making this stuff up, and really wanted to enjoy this place, but thanks to Natalia, Jasmine, and the rest of the D&B staff, I will never come back here again. Thanks D&B. read more

I just got back from the Ontario Dave & Busters a week ago, great experience. Another thing was Ontario's nachos were much better, the cheese was better and the paper they use was thicker and non stick under the nochos. Yes it was loud. We went on a Monday so service wasn't real slow. We split a full rack of ribs. Sides were ok. The ribs were smoky and tender. We took the leftover ribs home for a rib sandwich later on. My husband declined the arcade games as he said they were a little juvenile. Still it was his 76th birthday and it got us out of the house. Dave and Busters was a good time on a Saturday Night. I went on the Saturday before Halloween and it wasn't too packed, i think it helps that it's a very large places so lots of places to sit. There was a bit too many people at the check in, like 3-4 hostesses so it made it confusing who to go to to check in. The high top booths are a little uncomfy to sit in and I wish they had hooks for the tables for the girlies handbags but the service was good (3.5/5 - not out of this world but not super bad either). The games are very cool, great race car games but perhaps D&B should invest in a beer pong game like BLVD, (that's my favorite game). Lastly, the food. I got the carnitas nachos and they were good but i asked for no jalapeño and they put them on it anyway and i suffered a bit with heartburn while playing games and it was a bit salty but the wings were good and my friend got the steak and said it was very good. Fun games and that was about it. The environment was very fun. The games are the best part. So it took them around an hour to seat us which I didn't mind because it gave us time for some fun before we ate. After being sat down we waited for 45 minutes just to find out who our server was going to be which was irritating to say the least. After the server arrived she informed us that she was not our server but sent to take care of us until our server was available (she ended up being our server anyway) by the time she arrived we had decided on what we wanted to drink and eat so she took our entire order upon arrival. It then took around an hour for our Food to come out which was more than disappointing. The price never bothers me if the portion is comparable to what the price is. The wings were tiny for the price being charges. The ribeye steak was extremely fatty and the fries were bland and flavorless. The games a fun are the only reason this place is getting two stars from me. First time here and so far it was okay. Came around 2:30pm on a Saturday and service wasn't busy compared to the arcade area. Waited under 20mins for a table and waited an additional 25mins for someone to take our orders for drinks. We were seated near the center of the restaurant near the bar and several servers continued to pass by our table without asking us anything till closer to 3pm maybe because shift change finally someone new came by to take our order for the drinks, appetizer and meals. Our server wasn't very consistent and we had to keep flagging her down for her to come refill our drinks. I had asked for the Hennessy Strawberry Nirvana and she had no clue what I had asked for although I worded just how it's written on the drink menu and she had also asked me to point out what drink it was, I'm assuming she's new and hasn't been trained for long. Food was pretty good, I enjoyed my chicken and the garlic fries. My boyfriend said his burger was okay but nothing special. I would recommend coming in for drinks and appetizers if you are willing to wait longer at your table compared to waiting to be seated. Not very impressed being my first time here. read more
