I typically don't review chains unless one of two things happen; one something is absolutely amazing or two something is very bad. Unfortunately this experience was the later. We arrived towards the end of the traditional lunch rush however it is a Sunday and the kids don't have school tomorrow so it was definitely busier. Upon arrival we requested a table for 5. Looking around it was clear there were several open tables. The hostess Jordan was very short with us in all honesty she was rude and dismissive. She told us it would be at least 30 minutes after she just sat 3 parties before us without hesitation. If it wasn't clear there was open tables I wouldn't have minded. About 30 minutes later I went to check with her and she rolled her eyes and said we were next in line and she'd let us know. We were the only party waiting. When we were sat it was at a table that had been clean and unoccupied for the entire time we had waited. I am quite sure anyone reading this can understand why that was frustrating. Her rude attitude and demeanor truly put a damper on our afternoon that was meant to be a fun family event to celebrate my cousin. Came in late night on a Tuesday, plans didn't go as expected and just came in for a quick drink. Sat at the bar and immediately got greeted by our bartender Brendon. Very personable and fun to speak with, drinks tasted great and he knew the best drinks to go for. Was just passing through but I returned twice during my visit because it was just so fun. I found some new games that were more like carnival games (still automated) but things like ring toss and "hit the clown" etc that were super cool. Inside is so spacious compared to other D&B that I've been to. The staff were all really friendly even when one machine took our credit but was faulty. It felt clean, the bathrooms were super tidy. I didn't get to eat this time but I would if I came back. I won the jackpot on a guardians of the galaxy train game and that really had me feeling like it was a fun overall experience. I purchased a Groupon for $65 to receive a $100 game card. It expired in February which I recognize, but Groupons policy is that the amount spent never expires. I tried to use the $65 Groupon today (4/25/25) and neither the manager on duty nor the GM would honor it. They were rude and condescending making it seem like I was somehow trying to scam them. If they can not honor their product they should not do business with Groupon. They have essentially stolen $65 from me. Again- I was NOT trying to get the $100, simply the $65 I spent. Worst experience ever. The card refill machine wasn't working. So I asked if I could reload my card and they tried to charge me for another card. Then I was hungry and needed something to eat. There was a 2 hour wait for food. Then I finally sat down. And 45 minutes later they take my order. 5 minutes later they have my food and of course, they gave me the wrong order. I really like this one compared to the Woburn one. If you go on half off Wednesdays it is way better than going any other time. the games are awesome including dodgeball, ticket game, all the ball games including the broken plate one, etc. you get a pretty decent amount of tickets for the amount of points you get. The ticket exchange is pretty good and definitely better than chuck e cheese. I really like all the options. My kids got candy, balls, little gadgets, etc. I meant to say this in my review but there was an adult who was trying to get into the stuffed animals, he appeared to be someone who needed help, and the staff there went over and graciously opened up the stuffed animals to let him pick one out to keep which was just amazing that the guy was so great with him. read more

I'm torn between 3 and 4 because I don't want to Hold Covid against them but I'm going with 3 because there's room for improvement. We sat and were given a code to scan with our cells and told we had to order and checkout with our phones. The I app was glitchy, every time we tried to add things we had to start over, the interface was poor, we couldn't ask questions etc.. I really just wanted a menu. A waitress showed up and told us that she was going to help us, said that not everything they have is on the app menu and not everything on the app menu is available. She gave us menus and I wish that's how it started. She was great and checked on us. We had a gap in service where we were waiting for a long time to leave but ultimately someone e came to us to explain she had a family emergency and had to leave abruptly. No problem. We have families too. No criticism there. I typically get excited about Dave and Busters for the menu selection and this was a very small Menu by historic comparison. I understand Covid caused this and that it's happened with many restaurants. There jus wasn't much I was interested in. Our food was good overall. Went a 2nd time to meet up with a high school friend. Seemed like a lot of the machines were acting up. The place was mobbed! What I appreciated is that while I waited for my friend at the bar, 3 members of the waitstaff asked me if they could help me. Certainly wasn't ignored despite the fact it was so busy. It still amazes me how many kids, like, 13 & under are there at a given time. We had a little incident where my husband's wedding band wound up flying off of his finger when he was playing the basket ball hoop game. He went & found an associate that was SO NICE & climbed in the back of the machine. He found the ring! Apparently, it happens all the time. FYI - They have a whole container of rings, earrings, jewelry, etc. that people lose. read more

Dave & Buster's officially opened up at the Mall of New Hampshire in a portion of the former Sear's site on August 24. The official opening was supposed to take place back on March 30, but because of the pandemic, things were delayed. D&B's is a fun place to go for food, drinks, watching sports, and plenty of interactive games to play. I've been to several other D&B locations around the country before this location opened. Before the Manchester location opened, the D&B in Woburn, MA was the next closest location and a quick drive from here. This place is like "Chuck E. Cheese" for adults and kids too, a similar concept to Round One, XtremeCraze (Londonderry), and Block Party Social (Hooksett) with interactive games and slightly different offerings. The atmosphere here is on the loud side, a variety of music played over the speakers. The bar area has 22 flatscreen TVs in the center over the bar (with seating), surrounded by more flat screen TVs near the high top tables and booths/tables in the bar dining area, a great place to catch the game while enjoying beers and cocktails and pub style fare. There is also a separate back dining room away from the bar and gaming area. The decent sized arcade area has plenty of games to choose from, such as World's Largest Pac Man, Space Invaders Frenzy, Cruis'n Blast, Hyper Pitch, Air FX, Speed of Light, Mario Kart Arcade GP DX, Spin-N-Win, Deal or No Deal, Halo, Connect 4 Hoops, NBA Hoops, Despicable Me Jellylab, Super Bikes 3, and much more. Some games you can win coupons to redeem for various prizes such as stuffed dolls (large & small), toys, apparel, blenders, air fryers, balls, drinkware, and candy. On Wednesdays, all games are half price to play! The food offerings consist of American pub style fare include sandwiches, burgers, salads, steaks, chicken, pasta dishes, fried foods, appetizers, and desserts. The prices here are moderate. I stopped at the new D&B's for lunch on opening day. There was actually a line to get in just before the noon opening time. During the pandemic, masks are required for entry with social distancing in place. Masks and gloves are available here. Most people here were buying game power cards, but since I already had a Power Card from a previous visit at another location, I could go right in and start playing games. However, I decided to eat first and took a seat at a high top table adjacent to the bar. Since there are no paper menus here, customers are advised to scan in a QR code on the table to download the menu. I started out with an ice water and decided to go with the Chicken Tostada Salad $11.99 plus tax. For my entree, the Chicken Tostada Salad was very filling to eat, which had a mix of romaine, black beans, corn, chipotle dressing, firm tostada chips, pickled red onions, and fresh avocados. The grilled chicken pieces were very tender and the salad had a spicy kick. Since the food was very filling, so I passed on the offer for dessert which was only chocolate cake. The service here was good and prompt. My salad entree arrived to my table in about 15 minutes after ordering. After lunch, I checked out the game offerings here. Now that I live much closer to a D&B's, I will be sure to take advantage using my Power Card on Wednesdays, for the half price games. read more

My toddler and I had a fun time and the food was good. our server was very nice but I wish there is more for smaller children to do but there was a couple things that he enjoyed even tho it was mostly for big kids- my son is almost 2 btw. They had some great specials for cyber Monday and decided to stop in during the early early afternoon. The place was very clean and had a smell of vanilla in the air. The games were fun. The bartender/waitress was very pleasant and accommodating. I decided to get a burger and fries to go on my way out. I cracked open the to go container in my car and I get hit in the face with a pungent odor of fish! It smelled like salmon. Whoever put together my order was previously handling fish, and did not change their gloves. The taste of fish was smeared all over both burger buns. I'm not sure if they Cook fish in the same deep fryer as the french fries, or if the fish smell permeated my fries, but they also tasted of fish. Don't get me wrong, I like salmon. But it is rather offputting when you have your heart set on eating a cheeseburger and all you can taste is fish. on top of that, the burger was a frozen patty with a very low-grade meat. I asked for the burger to be medium and because it was a frozen patty it was well done. Also, the meat was very low-grade, and had the little white balls of fat that you spit out in your napkin, running through the meat. I could almost get past the frozen overdone burger but that rancid fish smell and taste all over the burger and fries was just repulsive. I had a few bites of the burger, and a few fries, and then just dumped the whole thing in the trash. I might go back again for a drink or play some games, but I would never eat food there again. It is not about judging them over just one bad meal. My concern is the handling practices in the kitchen. They obviously have someone in there that is not changing their gloves and cross contaminating food. I would recommend that you get your kitchen staff ServSafe certified before you hurt someone. I have friends that are pescatarians, and would get very ill from those kind of practices. That is the reason why I would never order food there again. I am not one to complain or ask for my money back. I just simply don't go back again. If Dave & Buster's does want to help me out though, you owe me $2.99 for an air conditioner to get the salmon fish stench out of my car lol read more

This Dave and Buster's location feels smaller than others, with a larger bar area. Overall, it is clean, but I had one negative experience. While watching the Logan Paul vs Nate Diaz fight, my partner and I smelled vomit. To our surprise, there was fresh vomit next to where we were sitting at the bar. It was a bit off-putting, but the staff acted quickly to clean it up within 5-10 minutes after we notified them. The response time during the vomit incident was a bit slower than desired, but one employee deserves recognition for their quick response. They used coffee grinds to absorb the vomit and eliminate the smell, saving our night. Other than that, the service is average. Some games have had issues, such as not working properly or the VR experience being misaligned. When I complained about the VR issue, the employee said they would fix it but didn't offer a refund. Additionally, some Mario Kart machines were beat up and didn't function well. Fortunately, we had already eaten before the vomit incident. I had the salmon, which was delicious, but the side dishes were small for the price. The drinks are alright, but they are measured precisely and slightly on the expensive side. Considering the VR experience, Star Wars lightsaber VR, and another game not working, along with the cost of food and drinks, it was a bit pricey. It was disappointing to sit next to vomit without a proper apology or compensation from the manager. I didn't expect to have to check under the bar for vomit when I sat down. Will I be back? I'm honestly unsure. Even after the vomit incident, the staff's demeanor changed from friendly to mean. When the fights ended, some staff members rudely shouted at us to leave, turned off the TVs, and didn't allow fans to finish watching the post-fight interviews. I'm not a fan of paying for experiences that don't live up to their advertisement, smelling vomit, sitting in someone else's vomit, or encountering rude employees at the end of the night. The other day my fiancé and I were in town celebrating his birthday. After going out for lunch, I took him here to Dave & Busters. Neither of us had ever been before, and it looked like fun. Heads up, we did not dine here. We came for the arcade part. Lots of games to choose from, however there are a lot of repeat games, or super similar games. With that said, he and I had fun. It's nice to have fun and play the games I loved for as a kid and teen. The place was super clean. We did arrive on a Monday at noon, so it wasn't busy at all. I was pretty impressed with their prize shop. A very nice selection, and pretty good "price". If I'm the area again, I'd stop in and play a few games! read more

The staff were prompt and attentive and helped us to diagnose some issues with the A/V equipment so we could show a presentation. Terrible experience, one person in the group purchased a gift card in order to get an extra $20 in game play and wanted to use the rest for dinner & drinks. The employee told her she needed to purchase a power card, and when she asked the employee who refills power cards if she could use it for food & drink as well she said yes, then when she tried to pay the waiter wasn't able to accept it or reverse the charge allowing her to use the gift card because the confusion was due to their employee. Not to mention I made a reservation and table wasn't ready when I first arrived, so we patiently waited until I received a text saying the table was ready. After a while I went back to the hostess to see if they could tell me how much longer and they forgot about us and the table had been ready... and everything took very long, I made a reservation for 6:15 and we didn't leave until 9:30 and that was not by choice we were so fed up and tired we didn't even play games. Once the issues with the gift cards and payment was poorly dealt with we just left and now I have $75 on a power card and do not plan on going back to the Manchester location to use it. read more

My husband & I decided to have dinner at Dave & Busters on Sunday 4/14/2024. We arrived approximately 5:25. We were seated pretty quickly by a nice young gentleman. That's where it ends! We sat and was completely ignored. 4 different waiters walked by and never even acknowledged us. We sat for 14 minutes and nothing. Yet another gentleman that was seated by himself at the next table, and was waited on in less than 3 minutes. We left, leaving menus on the table and walked to the Red Robin. This place is new. Clean and lively. However, what I don't like about this corporate chain is the card system. You have to buy a card, then there is now way to use all your money on it so you will be leaving a tip. Then they don't offer anything less than 25 points in the store so once again you will be leaving points on your card. Service at the bar sucked. The service is terrible. My buddies and I tried to walk in and play some arcades and eat but we couldn't because not all of us were 18 years old yet. I have never heard of an ARCADE denying service to a teenager. Arcades are made for minors. On top of that their music is way too loud. I could barely hear people 2 feet away from me. You pay $14 for 8 pigeon wings (not a typo, they are SMALL!!), so drenched in sauce you can't see the meat and they are gross. Apply this metric to anything you order. This is only my second or third time going to a Dave & Buster's in my life. I would say the protocols they have in place for COVID-19 are phenomenal. They have someone greeting everyone and making sure everyone is aware of the precautions in case. We ate lunch there and they used QR code's to pull up the menu's. The food was normal bar food nothing out of this world. I would have to say their drinks were nice and strong. They had an employee walking around sanitizing all of the games and they had certain arcade games off to social distance. They are doing a great job at being precautionary. read more

Although I am looking forward to the post covid times where we can Rome freely without a mask, this was an enjoyable time.
