Came here on a Saturday night. It had been awhile! My son and his friends were so excited to play games. The food is not Michelin star, but it's good. The fried pickles are dangerous. Food is 4/5 stars Service: 10/5! Our waitress was so sweet and attentive! We made our way into the abyss that is the arcade and the kiddos were so excited to try the VR experience. They went on and one of the kids' headsets was broken. The technician was so kind and let him ride it again...guess what...that one stopped working on him too. He is super bummed, we'd already been there for like 45 min, and he was so sad..IN COMES MARLON!! Seriously the best part of our whole experience. He was so kind and patient and made it his mission to make this kids day. They fixed the machine, Marlon hung out with him for a bit, got him set up with some games while we waited and after they were fixed, the kiddo got his VR experience! Win! Sure the games are fun and all but I used to love to come here for good food while the kids can play. They've gotten rid of most of the menu and all my favorites. You can no longer get food and play rocket deals. There's very limited food options as well. You also have to order your food through an app which is so much more difficult and they expect you to tip before the waiter ever comes out. This gave the waiters no incentive to refill my drinks or help me. On top of this they clearly haven't cleaned the place in a while. There is black sticky stuff all over the floor from spilled food or drink, my shoes are all sticky and absolutely disgusting. Went here for a kids bday party.. yes this place does allow kids till a certain time before it goes into 21 and older. I always though this place was only for adults and it's now. We came here on a Sunday, place was packed and super loud. If you think you could socialize at this place, don't come in on a busy day. We came here around lunch - dinner time hours. There wasn't much of an option for vegetarians. And this place just has typical bar food. When the food did come out it was cold. My bf got a burger and some fries so I can snack and I didn't even eat them all since they were cold. Some other ppl got little sliders and tenders and said they were warm. So suggest that they make there food hot or don't order at all. Now onto the games; they had a lot of good options to play however some of the points to redeem your ticket are a little high. And most games don't last that long for how much they take. Also you don't use tokens you have to use a reloaded-able card. And if you don't have one you have to pay all the fees. It's nice though that the tickets are reloaded to the card once you play a game. But if you loose that card well there goes all your tickets and coins. We drove around a couple of times and then just luck on finding a spot. The wait on this Saturday night was an hour and half. This place is busy and super loud, especially for little ones. It's louder in the bar area than the restaurant side. Our little one really likes the games and the prizes are actually good. Better than chuck e cheese. And the games are more attractive for the adults. Our party of 7 said they enjoyed their food. They ordered drinks, appetizers, burgers, pasta, wings and desserts. They have lots of security all around and near the bathrooms. Speaking of the bathrooms...my friends said there were bathroom attendants offering perfume, cologne and napkins for tips. My overall rating I will give four stars, however I will break down certain things. This was my First time trying the place out. Came with my friend to have a nice meal and play some games. Customer service: 5 stars! Our waiter was awesome! He kept checking on us the whole time, made sure our drinks were refilled, kept us updated on our food, took time to chat with us and explained to us about the games etc. Food: 3 Stars! We got a few things for the both us. The mini hotdogs were okay but the salt and pepper on the top didn't make sense or taste the best for that food. The dipping sauce wasn't our favorite. We just used ketchup. The Nachos were pretty good and I liked the sauce. But a lot of the chips were very salty to even eat. The chicken tacos were okay. I personally didn't like the fried jalapeño with cheddar cheese? On the bottom. I felt it threw off the whole taco. Gave it an odd flavor with all of what was already inside the taco. With limited capacity, constant sanitation, mask requirements and hand sanitizer this place is clean. If you're 21 and over and looking for the happening place to be right now in Thousand Oaks. This is it. I went on a Friday night at 7 PM and it was packed. The waiting time to get a table was crazy at around 45 minutes to an hour. But if you go to the bar area you just grab any seat. This place is one of the biggest Dave and busters I have been to. The bar area is the place to be if you want to have fun and have a good drink. I like the fact that you had a variety of people in different age ranges. You have older people mingling with the younger crowd in a relaxed environment. At about 10 the kids are not allowed to come in anymore and it becomes play time for the adults. I have to say I loved the music and the vibe. You can also watch the games, in various big screens and also watch music videos. As for the food I thought it was okay. I had the salsa and chips with guacamole. The guacamole was great, but the salsa tasted like it came out of a can. I also had the macaroni and cheese. I thought it was a bit salty, but I had a big portions of chicken and bacon. My friend also had two glasses of wine at 12.50 each. We did feel that the one was overpriced, but my angry orchard was only 4.99. Then after 10 PM it was so packed it was hard to get a drink and the service was slow. But it's also unfair to say that the service is slow when I believe they were understaffed. Considering how many people they had, the bartenders did a very good job in trying to service everyone. Fun, but not a great first experience. I was served the wrong wine then charged for it anyway. Even after sending it back. We skipped food here since the bar experience wasn't great. Maybe next time, once they work out the kinks having only recently opened. The good news is all the games are new and work great. Even so, staff walked around, correcting problems and making sure things went smoothly. The bad news is this place is brand new and crowded. An old card wouldn't read in the machines so I had to stand in line for 20 min at the front desk to get a new one (while a lady debated $9 due after using a gift card). Didn't eat or drink at this location- brought my 5 year old nephew here to play games after school. Based on our experience that day playing games, everything was great. The employees we encountered were kind & helpful. The location was clean. My only suggestion would be to allow the parents/adults to pay the difference for the little toys that are purchased with tickets. For example, my nephew was short 20 tickets on a 450 ticket toy. I wanted to pay the difference, but that's not allowed. My nephew is an angel, and understood he couldn't have that toy- but I could imagine some serious tantrums over not getting what they wanted. I honestly had a REALLY great visit on Monday on the 22nd of July during their late night happy hour at 10. There was about only less than 10 people at the bar.. about 3-4 bartenders! I had this gentlemen with the glasses which he was VERY accommodating. And honestly Dave and busters has the BEST happy hour around town like it beats lazy dog or even yard house in the valley! Appetizers are cheap and if you drink ... drinks are even real cheap! I believe service was top notch there was honestly nothing to complain about this visit. I would definitely come back to this location I feel like this location is a lot more accommodating than the one in LA... We went last night so I could just enjoy a fun evening- date night with my hubby. Games and decor was amazing. Security around all the time and very big inside. Perfect place for fun games! The 3 stars- the food. The chicken tasted like rubber. No joke, some of the worst food I have ever had. The 4 sliders were so small, with barely any meat that paying $27 for sliders, fries and chicken fingers I expected more. Let me explain. Not only did it taste literally like rubber, there were 10 fries (basket wasn't full at all), 2 tenders, 4 burgers that looked like they could feed an ant. All disgusting. The service on top of it was terrible. Try dropped out food off, no plates no napkins no dishes, disappeared and the server at the bar just sat and paced back and forth avoiding eye contact. Games seem to be updated so that was good. Several years ago I can hear and the food is fine but was a wait to get it after I ordered it. Ordered a vodka tonic and was brought a vodka soda because they were out of tonic and was told "it's the same thing". Not quite. Went recently and it took a while for food to come out. Sliders and kids pizza came...then Brussels sprouts and fries....and then later the salad. These were all simple and took forever to get and entrees didn't even come out within 10 minutes of each other. Staff was friendly enough I guess. Didn't stand out though. absolute trash experience!! The server with the crazy looking fake freckles was absolutely incompetent it's actually wild she can hold a job of any sort!! I was letting her incompetence slide but she was so rude for literally no reason. I also work in the service so I try EXTRA hard to be nice because I get it sometimes it's just not your day but maybe she should have called out or quit like awful experience! She got our order wrong TWICE. She apologized the first time she brought out extra drinks the table didn't ask for. The second she brought out barbecue wings when we asked for buffalo extra sauce. When they got to our table we had to wait for her to come to tell her these weren't it and when I did tell her she just looked at me no smile didn't say anything and just took the plate so I said "okay thank you so much" in the sassiest most polite tone possible because why are you mad at me for your mistake? Then she has a different server come to our table and he told she clocked out for day even though her dumb self was walking back and fourth! Everyone says it's awful service but you don't believe them until you actually know for yourself! The manger even came to our table because when she handed us off she didn't explain to the new sever we didn't want the extra drink or barbecue wings and they were trying to charge us for that. We loaded our cards before hand but the dining experience made us not want to play so we wasted money on food and games we didn't even play!
