After reading all the reviews and being impressed, I called Dave to look at my leaky washing machine. He answered the phone immediately, took my name and address and stated he would be out later that day, so far so good! Got to my home at the time he said, diagnosed a leaky pump. Said he had to order it and would be back, which he did come back, and after changing the pump he said " well, you got a free pump". At that point he figured out the front tub was broken and it had to be ordered, mind you this was a couple days before Thanksgiving. I said okay, let's get it ordered. He left, washing machine still half apart, which I told him was fine since we couldn't use it anyway. He said he should have it next day and be out Friday after Thanksgiving, but then called back shortly after leaving and said part probably wouldn't be in until Friday or Monday with the holiday. I understand as a business owner, so I said okay please keep me posted. I sent him a text on Friday hoping it had arrived, no response. No biggie, Monday comes and I send a text and later a call with no response. Tried throughout the week to get an update or any information. Have yet to hear from him and we are pushing Christmas! Luckily I thought about a plastic epoxy for a temporary fix until I can find someone who actually wants to do work and get paid. And I still have a half torn apart washing machine! They displayed great service skills and knowledge that was needed to identify my problem. They could have gouged me pretty good but we're very honest by letting me know the repairs needed would be creeping close to just buying a new unit. I called him out to diagnosis my refrigerator. I asked what form of payment he took and he said checks and cash only. So I ran to the bank and pulled out $300. He informed me that the part and labor would be $239 and some change. I gave him $240 cash because I was going to a conference for a week and knew I would not be around. His pink carbon receipt was hard to read but I didn't question it. He called 4 days later and said the part came in and I owed him $185. I explained to him that I had paid him in full because I new I would be out of town. He kept saying no. The receipt says you paid $55. The bummer is my receipt was not legible and I should of questioned it. So after crying I said listen I need my frig fixed but I am out of town at a conference so can I send you the $185 some how? He said he had zelle. So I sent it. An hour later he text me telling me the part he received was used and sent me a picture. He said he would order a new part. I have no Idea about refrigerator parts. The next day he sent back the $185 that I Zelle'd. I was thinking he found the original money and that he was doing the honorable thing. I keep calling checking on the status of the part and he said its backed ordered and could take 6 months. So after 3 weeks I have come to realize that he has no plans to repair my frig and I am out $240. Please beware. read more

I called Dave to fix my microwave in June 2018. on June 8, 2018 I also asked him to take a look at my washer while he was there. He fixed the washer which he happens to have had the part. He then diagnosed my Microwave as having a bad door switch and he would have to order the part. He wrote an invoice for payment in full for both appliances and asked what I would like to do. To either pay him in full or do a part payment. I said since he was at my house to fix a refrigerator a year prior without a problem, I will trust him by paying him in full. He promised to be back in a week to fix the microwave. After a week, I called to be told the part was back ordered and to wait another week. Another week rolls by and no call. Fourth week I called and he showed up. He took the oven apart and tried to install the switch and he claimed the switch broke. I have still not heard from Dave. It has been nine weeks. The License listed on his card is not a valid contractor's License or a City of Bakersfield License. City of Bakersfield says he went out of Business in 2012. read more
