Portions are generous and the quality stays consistent. They do sandwiches wraps bowls and more and everything can be customized. Ordering through their site is easy and lets you add or remove ingredients without confusion. No need to call or explain anything just click what you want and how you want it and it gets made that way. One thing I always tell people to check out is the bottom section of the online menu. That's where they list customer creations. I don't know the backstory but clearly some of these combos made an impact because they've been kept on the menu. You'll find things that go way beyond your standard deli sandwich. Loaded bowls spicy wraps things you wouldn't think of but somehow work. If you're new to the place that section is a good starting point. You'll get a feel for the style of food and what regulars keep coming back for. Everything is fresh made fast and full of flavor. No gimmicks just solid food done right. Place is small but efficient. You order online and pick up when it's ready. No waiting around no mess. Drunken Mimi was rather ordinary by comparison, tasting pretty plain like a regular chicken parm. (Vodka sauce was not distinguishable, chicken was breaded vs. buttermilked.) So, to recap: Build your own, leave later than you think, and PRESS 1 as soon as your phone call goes through. And don't plan on this being a dining experience. Would I ever eat here again? The hype is true. This tiny place on Bloomfield Avenue serves an absolutely delicious chicken cutlet sub. I ordered two. They were larger than I expected. My husband and I ended up sharing one for lunch and the other for dinner. I took Yelp advice to call in order. They need about 20 minutes to prepare your sub because they cook the cutlet fresh. And that makes the taste difference. I have been wanting to try but was even more motivated when I saw the owner couple in The New York Times as supporters of Andrew Yang. Perhaps he did drop from the presidential race but I love when hard-working people take a political stance. That makes democracy work. True to its name, Dave's is serving up some delicious food. Their chicken cutlets are perfectly crispy and juicy. Their chicken salad is not your average chicken salad, and is made with chunks of chicken cutlet. My husband ordered it and loved it. I stopped in at Dave's today for a delicious sandwich! It was my first time here and I decided to try the Dolce Eggplant. The eggplant was cooked perfectly with mozzarella and red peppers (I skipped the onions). I was going to get it to go, but while the place is very small, it's a nice set up with tables and I decided to stay. It's not often I roll out 5 stars for a sandwich, but man was this satisfying on all levels. The Nicco original chicken salad sandwich is the (messy) way to go. First off, the portion is ridiculous. It's literally overflowing out of the already large hero, and will continue to do so with every bite. I know, first world problems. Wah wah my sandwich is too full. Anyways, the sandwich itself is diced up chunks of their chicken cutlet in their "awesome sauce" along with lettuce, onions, mayo, and vinegar. Tried the Chicken Parm and Garlic Pasta Fagioli soup. The breaded chicken cutlet is amazing. I would definitely try any sandwich that has the chicken in it. The chicken parm would've been perfect if it had more marinara sauce. The soup was good too. I definitely would come back to try other stuff on the menu, like the chicken salad. The service was good, despite only having two people working at the time. It took a while for my order to be ready (about 15-20 min) and I ordered in. To be fair, it was during lunch time and they had multiple phone orders. But I could see how beneficial it'd be if they had additional employees working.
