Spice level varied from no spice, to mild, to hot, to reaper. Yes, my oldest loves it very spicy! The chicken was hot and tender. And although I'm not usually a fan of crinkle cut fries, I have to say, these fries were very good. They had a nice crisp to them. The portions were large. The chicken strips and chicken sliders were big, not like what you would get from other places like a Chick-Fil-A. Service was also friendly as everyone seemed excited for it to be opening day. Came to try Dave's hot chicken today for my first time and ordered thru the yelp menu for fast pick up but unfortunately when I arrived home I realized they never gave me my fries with the $12.49 Dave bites toast and fries,and for that is going be a 1 star for me. Came here for the first time tonight because my youngest son saw some YouTuber's video about this place (or something to that effect) and I'm extremely disappointed. Won't be coming back again. Came here excited. Ordered food to go. Got home. Bit into my slider only to find a SUPER LONG HAIR in it. Called the store and let them know what happened. They said they would refund my credit card and they also took my name down for an in-store meal. The next time I came back, the manager (Cassandra) said there was no way to verify that the situation took place. No documentation, and that my name was not written down anywhere. I also never got my credit card refund. I would NOT RECOMMEND this location at all. I came here on Thursday (08/04) to pick up some lunch after finishing an interview for a job. Immediately upon entering the restaurant, I was greeted and welcomed by Crystal. She provided very quick service and was very hospitable. When I told her where I was coming from she wished me luck on getting the job I just interviewed for. I ordered the chicken with the extra hot spice level and it had a good kick to it but not too spicy to the point where you can't enjoy it. The Fullerton location is open! MUST TRY NOW! It's our second go at Dave's- as our first time left a less than desirable impression. Their service team did reach out and gave us a ring to get us to try Dave's again, we probably waited a good 7 months before jumping on their offer. And thankfully this visit was a better experience overall. We placed an order online on their website with a pickup confirmation for 10 minutes. We had just missed the lunch rush and were immediately greeted and handed our goods in a flash. Now for the food, we had gotten the 2 slider combo, and everything was fresh. Chicken was moist and super flavourful, I upped my usual spice level and I totally recommend slathering your chicken with a bit of honey! The addition of the fries on the side had a good coating of salt, but I think what changed for us was the packaged Dave Sauce. This time, we were both surprised at how flavourful everything was.
