#3 add cheese

Super cute location & decor however the menu is very limiting only offering tenders and chicken sandwiches. Service was decent but I would suggest not going around 2pm during the weekdays as there are a ton of loud & rowdy high school students in there... The chicken was well seasoned on the outside & crispy to perfection but looks were deceiving as I bit into my sandwich the flavor didn't follow. My daughter on the other hand claims that this is now her fave restaurant so as with all restaurants, good tasting food is subjective. I will say, the portions are very big- I got the #4 which is a slider with fries. The fries were pretty good dipped in the Dave's sauce. Will I try it again? Yes.. because this could have perhaps been a one off. One last thing, the chairs were extremely uncomfortable so I'm assuming they want you in & out. No lingering or ling winded conversations

Ok so I scout for halal meat options so I have a list of go to places handy when I am craving good tenders or burgers and I stumbled upon Dave's hot chicken. First impressions, the place is swanky and spotlessly clean. Deja my server gave me suggestions of nice combos which helped me save money else I was planning to order 3 tenders and slaw which costed a bit more. The to go order took less than 10 minutes and I was pleasantly surprised with the size of the tenders (holy, Moly!), I loved the side of Kale salad which wasn't overpowering flavor with Kale but just the right amount. Now the tender itself is crispy, delicious and spicy. I ordered Hot and I expected a bit more spice but it was delicious nevertheless. The Dave's sauce on the side which looked like southwest tasted really good and added a nice touch. I am not sure why the reviews said the chicken tasted sweet. It was good and on point. The crowd at broad ripple was happening and many groups were already moving around celebrating St Patrick's day. Really good!

Dave's hot chicken was excellent. I've been to Nashville Tennessee a bunch of times and I've had really good hot chicken, but Dave's hot chicken is right up there with the best of them. The dry rub is incredible. The medium heat level wasn't too hot for my beak. Ay'anna was a very kind young lady and made my 1st meal here nice.

Combo #Dave's #3 1 Tender & 1 Slider w/ Fries - Hot

This was seriously good chicken. The menu is on the smaller side so you're either going to get a slider (which is practically a full-sized sandwich) and/or a chicken tender (which is practically a whole chicken). I made the mistake of ordering the combo that included one slider and 1 tender. I was so full after just the sandwich, there's no way I could've finished both. It also comes with a slice of white bread so it was like double chicken, double bread and really enough for 2 people. I got the hot spice level which ended up being perfect. I do love spicy food but I was out shopping with friends so I wasn't trying to go too spicy. It did take about 10 minutes to get our order but everything came out piping hot and fresh.

My boyfriend and I were in the area and wanted to try, we are unfamiliar with the area and were scolded in the back alley by an employee for parking somewhere we shouldn't, and we had to figure out where proper parking was on our own. When we got in, service was just okay. We needed a few minutes to look over the menu, and she was extremely inpatient with us, despite us being the only guests there. I appreciate the vegetarian options, and was happy with my sandwich. I got medium and expected it to be spicier than what it was given the restaurant name. The cheese fries were great, and were also seasoned similar to the chicken. I was not a fan of the macaroni, but my partner was. It had too much of an y cheese flavor for me. Definitely get extra sides of their signature sauce, it's great! The space was very clean, and the decor was cute. This would definitely be a great spot for picture opportunities.

Dave's Hot Chicken is located conveniently in Broad Ripple. We walked in, and ordered our food at the counter. My first impression was that the employees did not want to be there as they didn't greet us and were not friendly. The menu consists of chicken tenders that can be ordered with buns or without. I got the #1 which was 2 chicken tenders, bread, and crinkle cut fries served with a small container of sauce. You can pick the level of heat you want your hot chicken to be. I also decided to order a milkshake as the meals don't come with drinks. They called our number and informed us that the shake machine was broken. Overall food was good, but nothing special. They had a lot of seating both indoors and outdoors.

Let's be honest. Delivery is never the perfect way to experience a restaurant. I think it's especially not the perfect way to experience a restaurant for the first time. However, I've been grateful that some friends have recently donated some GrubHub gift cards as I work through some health issues and spend more time than usual at home. It just so happens that today I was working from home and decided to order lunch delivered. After browsing options, I decided to check out Dave's Hot Chicken. I ordered a 2-Tender meal with fries. I also ordered a large chocolate shake. Again, delivery is weird. You inevitably pay more and yet almost as inevitably get a meal that doesn't measure up to a dine-in experience. While there are restaurants that do a pretty remarkable job of maintaining quality with delivery, the vast majority that I've experienced do not. My food arrived surprisingly quickly. It was in a nice container and still pretty darn warm upon arrival. I was impressed with the size of the tenders. The fry order was fairly standard with the fries being a smaller variation on crinkle-cut. Sadly, the chocolate shake did not arrive. I checked the receipt provided by Dave's and the chocolate shake was not listed (though was on my order and was paid for). While it's possible this was a GrubHub error, since it wasn't on the Dave's receipt and was on the GrubHub this seems like a restaurant entry error. Fortunately, GrubHub is refunding me for the lack of a shake. I ordered my tenders with a medium heat. It was definitely on the lesser side of medium and I had no issues with it (which I worried about considering I'd intentionally ordered the shake to balance things out). The dry rub was okay, but as a slightly spastic paraplegic I definitely found it on the messy side. I would consider it a solid 3-star, though I would also likely order it again. The fries were pretty decent, though nothing exceptional. Fries simply don't deliver well and these were solid mid-range for delivery. Overall, this was a decent meal but I can't deny being a bit disappointed. Even with my refund, we're talking about $25 or so when you toss in everything and it's definitely not a meal I would do again with delivery. If I were in Broad Ripple, on the other hand, I would probably still stop in. For now, 3-stars pretty much sums up the experience perfectly.

Dave's #4 1 Slider with Fries with a side of Mac and cheese
Madison C.

We ordered a mild slider and it was good and loved the fries. We also tried a side of mac and cheese. It wasn't the best I've ever had but still a decent mac and cheese. Service was great! Travis was very helpful and kind. Ambiance is cool love the fun graffiti walls. They have a big dinning area and a nice patio to enjoy your meal inside or outside. Highly recommend checking out this place for a good chicken sandwich if your in the area! Cheers!

Placed an order online on a Friday afternoon for lunch pickup. Menu is pretty easy and minimal with four options of chicken sliders or tenders. You can also choose your heat level. I went with mild. Food was ready at the given pick up time. The meal was just okay. Nothing special or extraordinary. Tenders were a decent size. Mild spice rub had just the right amount of kick. Dipping sauce was good. They also offer shakes, mac and cheese, and kale slaw.

Peter P.

Meh. The Medium wasn't even the slightest bit hot. It tasted. Exactly like the Extra Mild. And the milkshake was just sad. I expected hand-scooped ice cream and a blender. What I got would have made McDonald's proud. My vanilla shake came straight out of a machine behind the cash register. I'm a bit of a Nashville hot chicken aficionado, and this place is near the bottom of the pecking order. They only serve chicken 2 ways: chicken sandwich or chicken tenders. There's no bone-in option.

Callie K.

I stopped in for lunch over the weekend. It's broad ripple so the parking situation is rough. Add in the street out front is under construction. The staff was friendly and helpful. The menu is super simple and the dining room was clean. I ordered one tender and one slider. These are massive tenders! It's more like a filet. I did not try the slaw. The food was good. They are loaded with seasoning and it's a bit overwhelming. Also even the mild was pretty hot. If you enjoy hot chicken I would check this place out.

We ordered the Chicken Dinner for Two ($32) which includes about 10 pieces of fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans and choice of salad or slaw. This was a massive amount of food and could easily feed a family of four. The coleslaw was delicious, the best I've had in a while. The slaw was creamy and tart (not too sweet). The hand-breaded chicken is a winner in my book. The breading is crispy with lots of seasoning, especially pepper. The chicken is hot, moist and tender - perfectly cooked. This is some of the best fried chicken in the State. The potatoes and gravy are an indulgent treat for me. Yes, I had seconds. The green beans are cooked with bacon, yet light. My husband really liked the beans. We took half the meal home for dinner. The menu is German- themed, combined with traditional Hoosier classics. The Tenderlojn sandwich they serve put them on Indiana's Tenderloin Trail. I wanted to try the sauerkraut balls and pretzels, but I was too full. There is free street parking. There are tv monitors to watch the games at the small ball. Brau Haus is totally worth a visit.

We made a game time decision after visiting YELP to find a good place to go to dinner on a Friday evening and this came up. Tucked back in a Washington Township neighborhood it is like going to grandmas house. There is plenty of parking, and they have a separate entrance if you want to just do a pick up order so you don't have to go inside it appears. They have a very set menu that looks like it probably doesn't change often. We ordered Family Style Fried chicken which came with two sides (corn and mash potatoes/gravy), it also comes with a starter salad, beets and biscuits with apple butter and finishes with ice cream and they give you different toppings to put on top (Carmel, Strawberry and Chocolate) at your leisure. Needless to say we were stuffed walking out of that place. Everything was good, the food was hot and the service was wonderful. We were seated next to a table of women who were having a great time and it got a little loud but other than that, it was a really nice visit. Not realizing how big the "sides" are, we ordered Mac and cheese and whew it is the biggest SIDE I have ever seen! A couple things: The salad, they only offer vinegar and oil which is not the table. You can request ranch but that's the only dressing they have. The salad doesn't have anything but iceberg lettuce and shredded carrots so don't expect a full fledge salad like you may be used to. Lastly, it can be a little pricey. For our meals the side of Mac and 1 drink it came up to $90 before tip.
