    Chicken tenders and tots
    Richard P.

Wing Zone is Indy's latest wing chain to enter this market having been started by Matt Freidman and Adam Scott. The two met while students at University of Florida. In 2019, Wing Zone was named a Top 100 Fast Casual Mover & Shaker. Wing Zone is in 17 states and this is its first Indiana location. For those unfamiliar, Wing Zone has taken over the spot vacated by the beloved Donut Shop on Keystone. It's an older building, though they've done quite a bit to refresh it. I will note that my first visit was for delivery, not dine-in, so I can't speak to accessibility. The Donut Shop was only modestly accessible - so, I'm hoping the situation has improved. Wing Zone offers hot chicken and wings. The menu includes boneless wings, boneless wings combos, bone-in wings, chicken tenders, a hot chicken sandwich, and a few sides including tater tots, fries, mac n' cheese, cole slaw, and some others. In looking at the menu, it appears some locations also offer some main entree items, however, it looks like Indy doesn't. It can be a little hit-and-miss ordering from a restaurant for delivery - especially during their first week. However, I was in the mood for something different and I was also hoping to snag a Yelp review. I ordered a 2-piece chicken tender combo with a side of little tots. I also ordered a separate side of cole slaw. The two tenders could be ordered in a variety of flavors - I picked Nashville and medium in terms of hotness. The tenders are truly jumbo - I was quite impressed - and there was a definite kick to them. I was a little confused on the GrubHub website and it looked like they didn't have barbecue sauce, however, looking at the menu they clearly do. The tater tots were also delicious and surprisingly warm upon arrival. While the cole slaw wasn't quite A-list slaw, it was MUCH better than I expected and I would easily order it again. I also ordered a bottle of diet pepsi. Everything I ate was delicious and this was a very satisfying meal. Quite honestly, there's no doubt I'll return and I look forward to dining in in the very near future. Wing Zone might be newly opened, however, they've clearly got their act together and they should be a welcome addition to the neighborhood.

I was so excited to see a restaurant move into the old Donut shop! They have made upgrades in the restroom and it looks good inside! I stopped by for lunch and ordered wings and tots. The cashier explained the menu options and the fan favorites. I ordered the bone in wings-half buffalo and half Korean BBQ, along with the tots. The taste of the sauce was decent, but I was put off by the text of the wings. They were naked, no breading, and the skinny was soggy. I really wasn't expecting that. The tots were hot and crispy. I really want to like this place, so I plan to go back and try something different. Hopefully it will be better!

I'm back! This time with pictures! Here we have cool ranch rub & Parmesan rub! My favs Wing Zone is one of the cleanest chicken spots in the city! Floors are clean, grills are clean. Great customer service! Wings are 10/10. No complaints!

Outstanding!!!! The wings are in the zone!!! Wing Zone is in the building! Service - In the Zone! Size of HAND breaded boneless wings - All the way in the zone! Original wings - zoned. Chicken sandwich - All the way in the zone! Flavor & rub selection - Zoned!! Now that they are finally open, the business is gives new in all things; inside, smell, busy, freshness of food, etc. Oh, and two of the fountain drinks are out. These are all signs of a new business opening. Hopefully, they will fix the fountain outage soon. Overall, your food is cooked fresh while you wait. I had about a 15 minute wait or so. The lady brought out food to the table. I like the fact that there was a flat screen on the wall to watch tv while eating in and waiting to get your food to go. Not often do you find a place that has hand breaded boneless wings. Wing Zone is one establishment that offers hand breaded. And judging by the size, it's a sign they're indeed hand breaded and cut from the breast. IMO, 3 is enough to fill you up. I took advantage of the Honey Hot sauce. And it's definitely holding true to its name. I'm not a drinker while eating, but I had to drink while devouring my wings. Whew! I tried the Lemon Pepper Tajin on my original wings. A bit disappointed that it didn't show up how I imagined, but there are other sauces to try next time. The LPT wasn't flavorful. The hint was very subtle and I didn't taste any tajin at all. If you're not a boneless wing or bone in kind of person, get yourself the chicken sandwich. The breast is marinated for 12 hours and you can tell. It was nice in size, flavorful, nice coating, nice color and paired well with the coleslaw and Hawaiian bun. Mmmmm, this sandwich can very well go up against some of the other best rated chicken sandwiches. All I can say is, get in the zone!!! Wing Zone!!!! And the prices are reasonable. I spent no more than $30 for two meals; 3 bnlss wings/3 original wings and tater tots + Nashville chicken sandwich meal that included a side and a drink.

Tried this place for lunch today. The service was great! Everyone was really nice and eager to please! It did look dark coming in so I wasn't sure if it was opened but the sign was on so I tried the door and found it was indeed open. The food was good! I got the Nashville hot sandwich and fries, food was fresh and delicious! I will return!

Dont let the reviews on google fool you. When you come in and either Muj or Cam are upfront you'll be treated with nothing but respect and hospitality, overall great service. The food I got was a sandwich with coleslaw (i usually avoid coleslaw) and was really impressed by how well it blended with the sandwich I got a side of truffle like fries and it was great food 10/10 fs. The vibe and ambiance was good (I went at noon on sunday) and i will defienetly get around here and recommend to anyone looking for good eats.

Normally I am a traditional wing kind of person, but we went on a limb and ordered 20 boneless wings in 4 different flavors to have a variety. I must say they did not miss . My son and I thoroughly enjoyed and couldn't even finish them all with the account of large fries as well. My fav was the Korean Bbq as my sons was the sweet bourbon blaze. Place was clean and service was quick and accurate. Will definitely return.

I ordered the Honey BBQ wings ! They were very good . Delicious ! - the restaurant was very clean - air conditioning was on point . I will be back to try tenders and the chicken sandwich that looked good ! Hard to find good fried chicken now days ! Worth the trip !

wings are good but customer service sucks & they're stingy with ranch. the ranch was less than halfway filled when i opened it & they said that's how it comes you've got to be joking me!

Found this place through the article the news put out and we were not disappointed. We are huge wing fans so we are always skeptical to try somewhere new. The owner took our order and she was kind, everyone was attentive & quick. Our food was crispy, perfectly seasoned & plenty for the two of us. We also only spent $28 for all of this plus drinks! The seating area was clean and so were the bathrooms. Will return again!

It's a nice little restaurant from the looks. I do like how they transformed the donut shop... but the food is not that great! I've eaten here twice and it's not getting any better. It's like the wings are from a different planet. The sauce is good but the meat is chewy and the breading is soggy, which I wasn't expecting this with it being cooked to order. I don't think they season the meat either it's like eating just chicken and sauce with no salt or pepper on it. My fries came out half done... But I give 2 Stars because the service is great and they're very friendly. The food is just not that great to me!

Because Black Circle has been here for quite some time, there's seemingly always been a food partner within the building/complex. Beacon Off The Path is that latest food partner and it seems as if Black Circle may have found a great partner. Beacon Off The Path is a sister joint to Goldleaf, also in the SoBro area and not that far away. Beacon Off The Path, I believe, is primarily open when Black Circle is open and, as such, tends to have that edgier, industrial vibe since most bands that play Black Circle tend to have an edge to them (there are exceptions). Beacon Off The Path offers a small yet effective and tasty menu with sides that change according to mood, day, or week. Food options I prefer? The quesadilla is slamming - I prefer adding chicken to it. The Gooey Grilled Cheese is awesome. I'm dying to try the Portuguese Steak Sandwich. People are friendly here, though there's a SoBro vibe that I adore. I live just east of SoBro and get it completely. It feels like home to me. Refinery46, in general, does have some accessibility limitations given the age of the building. However, they've done a pretty nice job with most of the building. Via a ramp on the side of the building, it's pretty easy to access Beacon Off The Path (it's a better floor design, I'd say, than the previous food vendor here). However, I'll acknowledge it does take a bit of effort. In my mind, it's worth it. If you're looking for a super quiet place to study, this is probably not going to be it. However, you've got a great vibe with great food, great customer service, fair prices, pinball machines, and there's typically music around. Everything's a win here.

I've struggled with how to rate and review Goose the Market for a long time…read more I've struggled mightily. It's an Indianapolis icon in many ways. It's beloved. And listen, it's not the most wheelchair friendly place in the world. If you're a wheelchair user, you're in all likelihood not going to the cellar unless you're extraordinary with you're chair or you crawl. I remember attending a Yelp event here, and I just wrestled with these issues so much. It's not inaccessible - you can get in the door, though even the parking is a bit wonky and the curb-cuts a bit worn. This is an older building in an older neighborhood. So yeah, if you're a wheelchair user plan ahead. I am a wheelchair user. And I suppose I should knock off my usual 1-star for accessibility issues. But, I just can't do it. I, instead, choose to go 5-stars with my narrative disclaimer that there are accessibility issues here. But, my word. This is a great place and every single experience I've had with Goose the Market, including last night's Italian Film Festival, has been stellar whether I'm in their location or at an event they are catering. What is Goose the Market? First off, nearly everyone considers it one of the best - Indianapolis Monthly, Eater, Yelp, etc. Goose the Market offers a daily menu of sandwiches, soups, gelato, and small plates. It offers raw beef, pork, poultry, game, seafood, in-house made sausage/smoked meats, and more. It offers charcuterie - both in-house and from other producers. It offers farmstead cheeses, fresh produce, artisan breads, preserves, sauces, pickles, pasta, crackers, flours/grains, and a lot more. There's the cellar - Enoteca bar with Italian style wine by the glass and small plates (and it has all-ages seating). Goose the Market offers a wine of the month club, gift cards, catering, classes, daily specials, and more. What can I say? There are those places that are worth the effort. As a lifelong person with a disability, I long ago realized the world would never be perfectly accessible. It's never going to happen. I'll continue to work toward a more accessible world, though I'll also honor that there are those places where I feel welcome anyway. I feel welcome at Goose the Market, though I can't quite get the full experience. The service is exceptional, the products quite awesome, the environment warm and friendly, and there's simply no doubt it's one of Indy's treasures. So yeah, five stars. With a disclaimer that those with mobility impairments may need to plan ahead or have a companion along. Who wants to be my companion?

Bacon making class: overall I am glad I did the class, but think there are some things that could change. The information provided at the beginning of the class didn't flow the best, and used a lot of terms I didn't understand- knowing your audience is important. We were told we would get 1.5lbs bacon, and .5lbs bacon bits. When picking up the bacon, we only got the bacon, and none of the bits. This needs to be updated on the class description. Sandwiches: we tried a goose, and a batalli. The goose was good- nothing spectacular. I was a fan of the batalli- nice amount of mayo, appropriate spice, and good amount of meat/cheese. Would definitely get the batalli next time. Overall, I enjoy the sandwiches, think the sandwich class could be improved.

My husband got a Diet Coke that came in a can and we both got a classic plate minus the toast. 2 eggs, 2 sausage patties... nothing special including the presentation. The price for each plate was $18 plus a $2 can of coke and a tip they didn't deserve brought our total to a little over $40. The eggs were flavorless and literally had no seasoning. I did appreciate that the sausage patties weren't greasy. That was about the only good thing. The decor looked like they took whatever thrift stores couldn't sell with no particular theme. Funny enough, we went out for breakfast a few days later to a DIFFERENT PLACE and for the SAME PRICE got way more food, better quality food, better presentation, full table service, friendly service, great atmosphere, and an overall wonderful experience.
