    Dave's #3 1 Tender & 1 Slider w/ Fries
    Audrey B.

Dave's hot chicken is always good, however this location was inconvenient to get into which is why I give it a 4 stars. The staff was super nice and gave me extra sauce just because. I do have to say I wish there was more coleslaw on my slider and more sauce on it instead of having to apply more. But other than that I always love getting food here. It was super flavorful and I always am feeling full and good after I eat here. The ambiance of the Dave's in itself is cute inside and it has an outdoor seating patio, but it is in a strip mall and a sketchier place at night so either go during the day or bring a friend at night!

    Yummy!

We had an awesome experience at Dave's Hot Chicken thanks to Isaiah! From the moment we walked in, he was friendly, welcoming, and super helpful. He took the time to recommend the perfect spice level for our taste, and even let us try some slushy flavors before ordering. Isaiah checked in on us throughout our meal to make sure everything was just right and even offered some extras to make our visit even better. You can tell he really cares about the customers and goes above and beyond. Give that man a raise--he made our day after spending sometime at the lake in the sun. Thank you Isaiah!!!

LOVE this place ... always order to go ... and EVERY time I get the hot honey chicken pieces it's a MESS ... they have to come up with a better way to transport these ... it's so gross

Why have I waited so long to try Daves Hot Chicken? Had my friend not recommended it, I still wouldn't have known how great it is!! Holy smokes! I found my new favorite hot chicken place! Firs of all, it's in a small strip mall. Parking is limited but if you're lucky, you'll find a free and open spot, otherwise, there's an attendant and he has some spots, not sure what/if he charges or if just the tip. Luckily, we found an open spot. There's some outdoor seating and some indoor seating. Outdoors is pretty noisy, you're right on Western. If you don't mind street noise it's OK, if not, there's indoor seating, and you should be able to find a place. The chicken sandwich, right? That's what you want to hear about. Well, it's frreakin' great! I did the 2 sliders with fries and kale slaw. $14.99. It was a lot of food! It's the way to go because you'll want an extra one for later!! You have your choice of how spicy you want it. I ordered mild and it was still pretty darn hot. That's why the call it Daves HOT Chicken, right? The staff was great, and we got our order super fast! Next time I'm going for lite mild. It'll still have a little kick, but not enough to take away from the awesome chicken flavor. They have the standard soft drinks, also shakes, and beer too! I love this place. Can't wait to go back. Dave, you certainly know how to do hot chicken!

My daughter has always wanted to go here so we decided to go to the first brick and mortar and check it out. We drove from Bakersfield so it was a little bit of drive but totally worth it, we just made a day of it in LA. Parking is a little rough, but the place was very clean. The staff were very friendly. Food came out pretty quick. The lady working the register was awesome. Totally took care of us. I had the number three hot and I think that was the right balance. Everyone else had the extra hot and that was just a little too much spice. I like things spicy and can handle hot, but I also like to enjoy my food too lol. The fries were amazing. I loved them. I should've got some more. I got the big cup of Dave sauce, I think that's what completes their chicken tenders, the sauce is great. Overall, we had a great experience and I can't wait for the one to be built in Bakersfield so we can go there.

    Medium tender, not Reaper Hot
    E. C.

Nice relaxed vibe, Alyssa cashier is sweet and accommodating. Very welcoming and friendly customer service. I enjoyed the food way more 300% more than awful Glendale store. Food decent, I got mild sliders and medium tender. Medium just little hotter than mild. So I know Glendale Stephanie did do that dirty trick of giving me a Reaper the hottest because I complained the medium had zero spice. Proved it, Glendale sucks. Customer service gave me a $20 voucher because of how awful Glendale is. It's not funny Stephanie to give someone a Reaper when they didn't ask for it. Told them will never return to Glendale. Your Filthy Dirty restroom without paper liners or toilet paper or paper towels and broken down drink machines w 3 flavors sodas unavailable. Hollywood is where it's at, clean dining room, fully stocked clean restroom and fully functioning drink station. And pleasant cheerful employees!

    Are visa gift cards accepted?

Yes!! They do I used them and they worked, normally just works when you swipe

    Does the chicken have dairy?

It could have dairy, if it is dipped in an egg milk solution before breading.

Do you have whole chickens? or half.?

Hi Leonardo, We only sell chicken tenders.

What kind of oil do they fry in?

    soybean

Are there onion in the Kale Slaw?

    no onion in anything

Is this meat hand slaughter zabiha Halal? What is the name of the supplier?

I believe it is machine slaughtered therefore it is NON-Halal.

Is the chicken fried in "refined" peanut oil? Apparently that's the only kind I can eat; I have a peanut allergy 😭

it used to be but now everything is fried in soybean oil

Hi is the chicken halal at your location?

Yes, the chicken is Halal. I believe so!

    Yes 🙌🏼

    Is this place dog friendly?

Is this place as good as Howlin rays?

To me, Dave's is better. I really enjoy their chicken more than Howlin's.

Are there any options for vegans? Any alternative chicken? I love daves but recent went vegan and would love an option. I know the college students nearby would go nuts for it too if there was a vegan chicken option.

    No unfortunately

    Do they have Halal options?

    no halal options

Is the seasoning on the chicken salty?

How do we redeem our check in side if we order on their website and pay online?

You can no longer redeem that offer. They have removed it.

Not sure why, but since there have been other locations around the LA area over the past several years, maybe they're just moving again. I wish them all the best! Not…read more"pretty good for takeout," not "good on a lucky day," just genuinely solid every single time. This time, I went with the Anwar Style Chicken Shawarma to try something new. The portion size alone is impressive. The container is packed and feels substantial the moment you pick it up. The base is a bed of fries, and these are not just filler. They are thick, well seasoned, and sturdy enough to handle all the toppings without turning into a soggy mess. On top of the fries is a generous amount of chicken. The chicken tastes freshly cooked, with that warm, savory flavor you expect from good shawarma, never dry and never overly salty. There are pita chips mixed in, which add a great crunch and texture against the fries and chicken. Multiple sauces are drizzled throughout the dish. I chose a side of their spicy sauce. The creamy white sauce balances things out, while the orange sauce brings a mild heat and a little extra depth. None of the sauces overpower the dish, they work together to coat everything evenly and keep every bite flavorful. Diced tomatoes and corn adds a touch of sweetness that surprisingly works really well here. A sprinkle of herbs throughout helps brighten everything up and keeps the dish from feeling too heavy, even though it is definitely filling. This is comfort food done right. It is messy in the best way, packed with flavor, at least to me it was. If you are looking for something hearty, satisfying, and consistently well made, I will always recommend Anwar's Kitchen. Anwar's Kitchen delivers quality food, and I will keep ordering from them.

My head is thinking "calm down--we ate minimally and got drinks. Don't offer it if you're going to have an attitude about adjusting the bill". It was just weird. They also didn't offer any bday dessert treat but we weren't super pressed bc we were so full. The meat was a bit overdone and all kind of tasted the same this visit. Didn't get to try the lamb chops and a few other meats, but still has a nice variety. Salad bar is top notch and consistent, although wish their black beans were plain due to all the meat. Drinks were ok--heavy pours but lower quality wine. The $29 "Wine Experience" package was worth it for my husband who likes variety of wines with his dinner depending on what he's eating. I'm sure I'll come again but it's been bumped a few notches on my Go To list.
