The floor to the table he was cleaning.

On of the employees kept cleaning tables with the number stand and never wiped the tables to sanitize each table nor the number stand. He went right back to work filling orders without washing hands.

I've been here few times and they lack customer service skills. It never fails, you get to witness a staff arguing with a customer at every visit. My visit yesterday included witnessing a manager (I assume since she was in a different uniform than everyone else,) telling the customer she was wrong and to read her receipt. As if the cashier can't make a mistake? Food is flavorful but getting pricier every time I stop by. The restaurant was super packed and standing room only, it was around 3 pm and they were nonstop.

Two Piece Meal with Campero Beans

I got to say that when I passed this place the day before and saw it packed, it was a sign to try this place. I got the 2 piece meal and they asked "wing and breast or leg and thigh?" which is a plus. I got the wing and breast, I have to say that the flavor of the food was delicious and I don't like fried chicken like that. For my side I got the beans and those were my favorite, I even prefer it over the chicken. I will definitely return to this place whenever I visit LA.

How do you review fast food? Not even sure if it's necessary. For the most part your getting frozen foods or something instant. My taste buds hate me when I decide to eat this stuff. So, the only reason I stopped here is because I wanted a dragon fruit lemonade from the Buisness next door, and they...lmao we're out of dragon fruit. Then went with my daughter and got a boba. As I was outside I smelled the chicken and said why not. I hardly ever eat fast food nor foods that are fried. Maybe twice a year if that...do I go to a fast food joint. Anyways, I smelled the chicken and saw there were a handful of people in there so I said why not. I went in and I literally was going to walk out because the floors were so dirty and tables too, but I didn't listen to my instincts. I went to the front and waited till they were ready to talk to me...lol. I ordered chicken wing, breast, coleslaw, and instant mashed potatoes with gravy and a drink . The girl at the counter was nice, but far from enthusiastic. I guess who could blame her. I took my food to go. Got home...started to eat. Their motto is live life to the flavorfullest, and today I didn't except at the potluck my staff and I had at work. LOL!!! The chicken was dry, but the skin did have flavor. No need to discuss the mashed potatoes. Coleslaw? Mmm let's see... mayo, cabbage, green pepper and yeah that's it. Like I said truly no need to critique a fast food restaurant. Your taste buds already know what to expect and it surely isn't flavorfullest. My daughter who is old enough to know said..." Mom you should no better, and why would you review a fast food place food?" Well, like I told her "guess I want to put my 2 cents worth in". I'm rating a 2 star not for the food; as like I said above..."its not necessary to rate fast food when you know what you might get". I'm rating cleanliness and customer service. The restaurant was not exactly the cleanest place, and there was plenty of staff there to have this maintained. The customer service wasn't necessarily up to par; except for the girl that waited on me was nice and had a smile.

Being served as a "to go" customer but told them for here. Telling them i want a small drink and being given the largest. Definitely not coming back here. Oh by the way, all this was 15.00 for a 2 piece. Just go somewhere else if you like Salsa, they dont have it except for Ketchup & rude customer service

The line went outside the building, but it moved decently fast. After ordering you get a number and they will deliver the food to your table. I got a variety of their tacos. Each taco had a unique twist to it, and tasted really good. They also had a cool black tortilla which had a nice texture. I especially like the fried fish one as it had a mellow yet delicious flavor. The kanpachi tostada was also great, and the uni with scallop was a nice pairing. Fish tacos were good but not as memorable as the raw dishes. Also tried the smoked kanpachi taco but again not outstanding compared to the raw seafood. Their sauces were also good but spicy! The light brown one had a unique flavor to it and was my favorite but also the spiciest so be aware. Price - On the higher end as expected from a Michelin 1 star, but the quality on the raw dishes justifies it. Wouldn't say every dish is worth the price, but most of them were good. Ambience - This is a food hall setup, you order at the counter, get a number, and they'll bring your food to you. Lines can get long, especially since it seems busy most days now. If the wait isn't worth it, there are other solid-looking vendors in the same food hall to check out. Parking - Small paid lot on site, or street parking nearby. It's also next to a DMV in which you can park after 6pm-ish (would double check the signs)

The drive there was a bit iffy due to location but surprisingly the street that the restaurant is on was clean and felt pretty safe! We walked into a concrete built up newish area that had a brewery and another Michelin rated restaurant across the courtyard. The entire area was inviting! The restaurant felt like we took a dinner vacation to Cabo which was recipe for a relaxing evening! We ordered from the restaurant week menu which for us consisted of Ceviche, Guac w/delicious fresh tortilla fresh chips, whipped beans, snapper, bbq chicken, empanadas and basque cheesecake. Upon arriving at the restaurant block, I was so surprised to see it was in a spooky area. I was literally terrified to leave my car parked on the street. They had valet parking for $15 also. The restaurant itself looked super nice, beautiful interior and a huge bar in the middle. Some tables were in outdoor patio area too. The menu had bunch of small and large plates, alongside lots alcoholic and N/A drinks. I ordered the Strawberry Daiquiri Mocktail that almost tested like a smoothie. The fried calamari, corn, empanadas, short rib tostada and chicken taco, all were good dishes but none of them were mind blowing. Prices were mostly fair. The service was really good. Our server did a wonderful job. All the dishes came out in short intervals. Overall a good location to have relaxing dining experience with friends and family.

We had a large group so we ordered some drinks and the giant sampler platters. Everything on them was really good except the chicken wings and pork belly were a little dry and nothing special. Pretty meh. But I loved everything else. The other thing that I don't personally love is that they have a have DJ playing music and talking as well as large tvs playing sports, so the restaurant is really loud. Like you can't hear the person right next to you. If that's your vibe, then check it out but I felt really overstimulated by the time we were done and couldn't wait to get out of there. I'm glad I got to try Escala but I don't know that I'd seek this place out again, unless it just happened to be convenient. Parking sucks in this area and there are so many amazing restaurants in K-town. I'd rather keep exploring.

It paired well with the curry from the Shrimp dumplings. Kanpachi Ceviche (4/5) - This one was a bit underwhelming. The ceviche was good and fresh, but I've had better elsewhere. He took us to a booth in the corner and then told us that our waiter would be taking care of us soon. He asked us if we wanted anything to drink. We told him water and he brought us some water fairly quickly. Then another person showed up and he told us that they would take care of us the rest of the evening. Our waiter was very friendly and did an excellent job all evening. After looking at the menu we decided what we wanted. We started with the guacamole chips and salsa. The chips were okay. They were lightly seasoned with salt. The guacamole was fresh and the salsas were tasty. I preferred the green salsa as the red salsa was spicier. For my main meal I ordered the Quesadilla filled with skirt steak, pico, avocado, salsa, and crema. The quesadilla was delicious. I've never had a quesadilla like this. It was rolled up and looked like an egg roll. The steak was very tasty with a lot of flavor and the other ingredients were fresh. It was so good. For my side I ordered the rice and beans. The beans were good and had flavor. The rice was perfectly cooked. Combined the rice and beans had flavor and were very filling. Overall Encanto was a very nice restaurant. I ordered my usual favorites: the entraña cooked medium rare with mashed potatoes, a Caesar salad, and a pitcher of Cleritco--their refreshing white-wine sangria made with fresh fruit. The steak was flavorful and cooked perfectly, and everything was delicious. I thoroughly enjoyed the meal, as always, and the customer service was very good. Lala's continues to be one of my favorite places for Argentine food!

One steak was a perfectly reasonable portion, while the other was this tiny sad piece of steak and I paid the exact same price for it. That's what really bothered me. I understand that steaks can vary slightly in size and shape, but this was not a slight difference. When I'm paying the same premium price, I expect reasonably comparable portions. Getting one good-sized steak and one significantly smaller piece for the exact same price just doesn't feel fair. I've been a repeat customer and have ordered this dish many times, which is why I was especially disappointed. I'm not asking for anything unreasonable, I just expect the portion to match what I'm paying for!

I had heard so many good things about Pollo a la Brasa, so I finally decided to give it a try…read moretoday. Starting with the positives: the food is delicious. I ordered the quarter chicken with rice and salad, and I was really impressed with the portion sizes. Everything was flavorful, comforting, and gave me the kind of authentic Latin food vibes that I love. The sauce was definitely the highlight for me--it was so good that I found myself adding it to every bite. The prices are also fantastic. For the quality and quantity of food you get, this place is truly a gem. That said, there were a couple of downsides. The restaurant itself is very small, with limited seating available. The customer service also wasn't the best during my visit. Since the dining area was completely full when we arrived, we decided to place our order to go. While we were waiting for our food, a table opened up, so we asked if we could sit down and eat there instead. We were told that because we had ordered our food to go, we were not allowed to sit in the restaurant. I found that a bit disappointing, especially since we had already paid for the same food as everyone else dining in. Overall, the food was excellent and definitely the reason I would come back. If I'm in the area and craving their chicken, I'd absolutely return--just with different expectations regarding the seating situation and service.

Start with the "farm vegetables" carrots, yes, but carrots the way a poet means them. Sweet, blistered, singing. And then the aioli..... oh the aioli. I don't know what wizardry was in it and I've decided I don't want to. Some mysteries are better kept as mysteries you can drive back to. My wife and I looked at each other over that plate the way people do when they realize the afternoon has just changed shape. We are coming back for it. Every day. For the rest of our lives. Put a plaque on our table. .....The salmon belly burger was mine and I guarded it like family silver, rich, silky, the kind of fat that melts into everything around it. My wife had the smoked beet quesadilla, which arrived smelling like a good fire and tasted like someone had thought very hard about beets and finally gotten it right. She offered me a bite. She regretted offering me a bite...... And the owner served us himself. Warm, and present, the kind of host who tells you about a dish because he's proud of it, not because it's a script. That pride is all over the food. You can taste the years of devotion in it. Go. Sit down. Order the vegetables first. Let someone who cares about cooking feed you a real, considered, and generous plate. This is what a neighborhood restaurant is supposed to feel like.

The duck was exactly how I like it: crispy without being burnt and packed with flavor. And then there was the Gringo Burger for my gringa, which she loved. We finished with the Pavlova, which was the perfect ending. Great food, relaxed atmosphere, and the kind of place that makes you start thinking about what you'll order the next time before you've even left. We'll definitely be back.
