I like this place. It's totally "fast food" but to me the food itself is a notch above the average fast food. They are pretty fast for how busy they can get. The setting itself is just the typical fast food place. Like Subway, McDonalds or anything else but the food itself tastes fresh and flavorful. Highly recommended if you're craving a chicken sandwich or tenders. And they have a combo where you can get one of each #3 which is what I got. I placed an order ahead of time and by the time I came in the line was almost out the door and everyone sitting had no food in front of them. I saw the poor workers in the back scrambling and stressing. The food is good but they need to staff or train better because 70 minute wait for "fast" food shouldn't really happen. The menu is simple, 4 choices of hot chicken tenders, sliders or both. Tenders arrive on sliced, white bread, sliders on a bun with pickles, "kale slaw", and a chipotle mayo sauce known as Dave's Sauce. The Good: Whole, lean, chicken breast, great quality. Spice level customizable, ranging from "no spice" to "reaper" (which requires the customer to sign a waiver), nice touch. The pickles and slaw were crispy and added great texture and flavor. Not a good experience. Food was very good, but the service was horrid. I placed a takeout order and walked in giving my full first and last name. The employee (hopefully she was not a manager) quickly retrieved the bag of food for me, and then asked to see my app to prove the order was mine. I was a bit surprised, but showed her my app. I could not immediately find the order and even pointed my phone to her so she could try. She did not see it either. She asked for email confirmation, which after a short bit of time I was able to show her. Meanwhile, the food certainly was not getting any warmer. I get that she wanted to make sure that I was not a crook trying to steal food, but surprised that I was treated like a crook even after giving full first and last name and what I ordered. I will add that I even tipped through the app generously, which I doubt most takeout orders do. Pretty sure I won't be back, but if I do very unlikely to tip generously in advance. read more

It used to be a good spot, but over time they stopped caring about the food quality. My chicken always comes undercooked or chewy and sometimes even fatty .. The food was really good but the wait was insane. Idk if today was just a fluke cause their computers were out and it was a Sunday and everyone had the same idea that I did for dinner. But my pick up time was 5:18 and I waited until 5:44 to get my order. Also if you like spicy food don't get the medium get the hot. Will definitely give them another try cause again the food was great. :) Also thank you to the cashier for honoring my free drink even with the computers out. That's definitely how you get repeat customers and I appreciate it. Got a text later from management offering a free meal as well which was not expected but wow their customer service is great!!!!! This is my third time in a row that i have ordered and their pick up times are ridiculous. Three times in a row I've waited 25+ extra minutes. I visited Dave's a couple of afternoons ago and was greeted warmly the moment I walked through the door. The food was delicious and more than I expected. I did want extra sauce, but there is an additional charge due to company policy, so I can't be upset about that. The staff was simply following the policies set for them. When I saw an add for Dave's of cauliflower sliders on TV, I had to try them. I figured that even if they were only kinda good, I'd have a meal without meat. I ordered their cauliflower sliders and fries through Grubhub and had them delivered. I even splurged for a chocolate shake. Ohhh my goodness! Sooo yummy! The cauliflower slices were SUPER crispy even though delivered! Not soggy one bit. The flavor was delicious!! There were tons of pickles, very fresh lettuce and a wonderful sauce. This store has horrible customer service and they have gotten my order wrong three times in a row and the third time was the last straw. I ordered a mild slider and they gave me extra hot. My wife cannot eat extra spicy and she threw up as a result and I spoke with Rosio and she was rude, wouldn't even allow me to finish my sentence and didn't even apologize. I then talked to Diana who said she was the manager and she was more rude than Rosio. She was completely unapologetic, continued to talk over me and she also refused to do anything to help the situation. Corporate is definitely going to hear about this. Yesterday, I ordered 3 meals with cauliflower bites on the side. However when I got home I opened a meal box and there was no chicken inside of one of the sliders. Immediately confused I called the store to ask what can be done as I live far away and couldn't make the drive back at the current time. An employee was able to help me out stating they would write my name down and I could come claim a free slider to replace the missing one the next day. So the following day I get to Dave's ready to not only claim the missing slider but to purchase some more meals, and the employee tells me that they can give me the slider as they saw my name written down. However as they were about to honor it another employee calls the manager Josie who says they can't honor it. Now meals aren't cheap as they cost $15 just to have half the meal missing is disappointing in itself but to be told that I could redeem the missing slider the next day just to have it shut down after getting multiple people's approve makes it even worse. If I'm paying for food I don't believe it's too unreasonable to expect the food to be in the box when I get home and when it's not there to expect some kind of recomposition. We had seen ads for Dave's Hit Chicken and considering its proximity to the Fairfield Inn, where we were staying, we decided to order from their online menu. Hubby went to pick it up. He said the employees were exceedingly nice & friendly and had the order packaged & ready to go when he arrived. He said the place was very bright and clean. Good start so far. It was a different story when he brought it to the room. It smelled yummy. Unfortunately, both our items were bland. It was so disappointing! We really wanted to like it but it fell short in the taste department! The crinkle fries were okay as was my Mac and cheese. Was it because we ordered it not spicy? We came in about 20 minutes before closing, we initially felt bad for coming in that late too. When we ordered our food we sat at the table closest to the window where we can see in the kitchen. While watching the cook which was a Hispanic woman looking to be in her late 40s, we CLEARLY saw her spit in our food. Absolutely disgusting and inappropriate. Nahhhhhh!!! Of course I went to check out the hype but it fell wayyy short. Yes I get that they just opened and yes I get the wait is gonna be long but what it boils down to is the FOOD. I really didn't care about the wait as I'm willing to stand in line to give them a chance. I did this two days in a row. First time was alright. The food took a while of course because of everyone waiting for their orders. The sandwich isn't the best. It was definitely just okay. Not terrible but not OMG it's the best I've ever had, either. You can choose your level of spice and I can't remember what I got but it was just right. Presentation wasn't all that. It always looks sloppy to me. They say you should eat with your eyes first (which is what my camera and I always do) but in this case, you won't be missing much if you don't. The second time I ordered their "cheese fries" for $5. I was really craving them and was very disappointed with what I got. It barely had any cheese on it. On another occasion (I think I've gone in 3 times since they opened), it was the mac 'n cheese that turned me off. The cup wasn't filled to the top and it had cheese sauce on the outside. It too, wasn't the best tasting. It was aiiiiight. I took to social media and posted their cheese fries in my stories. Surprisingly, I got a response from what I assume was the corporate office. They apologized and told me to show them the message next time I went in so that my next order would be on them. I went in a few days later and showed it to the cashier. She then called the manager over to give the ok. I got something else but they only comp'ed my cheese fries. This time, there was a smidgen more cheese, but still not enough imho. I wanted to give them another chance but they totally missed the mark. Seems like they've hired a bunch of younger peeps. I guess you gotta do what you gotta do, but I can tell you that I've gone to many grand openings and if management hasn't properly trained the staff, IT SHOWS. You can definitely see it here. Although the staff is friendly and nice, the experience is lacking. Hopefully in time they'll get it together. Now that the line isn't out the door, it's easier to get in. I was tempted to go again to see if the fries would be the same, but I passed and just went about my biz. I hear Angry Chickz in Temecula is the business and seeing their "Angry Mac" pics, I already know it's gonna be BOMB!! Prices are high for what you get imo. Compared to other hot chicken places out there, I think this place over charges. Will I come again? Probably...but not anytime soon. I'll give it a few more weeks and see if their ratings improve. This is the 1st time I've been here. I passed it quite a few times, thinking they only had HOT chicken, by the name of the business. LOL! Anyways, I must say this is one of the BEST chicken places I've been to. My friend brought us over dinner, so this was our first experience trying without having to make the trek, fight the traffic, park or stand in line as I've seen complaints in previous reviews. Aesthetically, it looked pleasing, a little sloppily thrown together, but everything looked hot and fresh. It was a combo meal with a mild slider, seemed to have sauce, pickles, cheese and coleslaw on it, plus another mild tender on the side and cheese fries. Disappointed to report that regardless of being a CHICKEN chain, the best part of the meal were the fries (sprinkled with a chili powder and doused in cheese) their house sauce and pickles (not even sure if it was homemade or not). The chicken was so dry, parts of it couldn't be chewed like it had a hard rubber casing on it, plus sadly it tasted burnt like it was fried in old oil. The coleslaw was just plain and flavorless as well. I can't complain too much as it was a free meal, but with the subpar chicken, we most likely wouldn't be back to spend our own money there. Stopped in on a Sunday at around noon to beat the long lines of people. Parking lot is full and we had to park in the dirt, no biggie though. The menu is simple, 2 tenders, 2 sliders, or 1 of each with fries. I ordered the 2 sliders thinking they'd be small, my kiddo ordered the 2 tenders, and a side of Mac n cheese. Omg were we wrong in thinking we could handle all of this food! My tenders were the level hot and I can attest that they had some kick. I normally don't drink soda much but I found myself guzzling my Cherry Coke. The tenders they serve each on a slice of white bread. My kiddo said the medium level spice was good but found it to be more sweet than spicy. Portions were large, I could only eat 1 slider and some fries with some bites of Mac n cheese. They're special sauce is pretty good too, definitely better than the sauce at Canes. They've got a nice, good sized outdoor patio along with seating inside. Staff was nice and we did not wait long for our food. Prices are kinda high but you also get a lot of food. After placing the order it took less than 10 minutes to get our food. Food was hot and fresh! Fries were great and the medium (hot) chicken was flavorful and juicy. Finally got em when they weren't crazy busy! This place is super popular and now I know why. The chicken tender sandwich is a great combo of flavors. I got mild heat, it was spicy but flavorful, the chicken is cooked perfectly juicy inside and a thin crisp breading that gives you a good crunch and lots of flavor. My second time here review. Now that it's been open for a little bit now the lines have died down. I ordered the 2 slider combo and an additional tendwr on the side and the kale slaw. I prefer the xxxtra hot on the sandwich and the hot on the tender. The spice level on the tender by itself is much hotter than the spice on the slider. The fries are just alright didn't like the cheese on them either but But the chicken is what I come here for. It's very flavorful and juicy and yet still crispy.
