My Dave's #4 meal ($10.49) was ready five minutes after I ordered at the counter on opening day. It consisted of a slider on a fresh bun with pickles, sauce and a small amount of slaw, plenty of seasoned, crinkle-cut fries, Dave's sauce and five side pickles, but no drink. Six chicken heat levels were available, including "reaper." I chose medium, which proved to be just mildly spicy. The chicken and the fries were too salty for me - yikes! I found the service at the counter to be efficient and accommodating, with a welcoming and helpful manager present. The dining area was clean and new with an urban graffiti theme and lively background music. I also noticed outside seating. OK overall.

Customer service not taken care of anything

Fries always cold bought the bites for my kids and they were cold and hard. Reached out over 10 times for my missing double points and their customer service doesn't DO ANYTHING!

Chicken was very good but pricey. Sauce was disgusting and bun was stale. Maybe try tenders without their signature sauce next time.

I went with Dave's #2 (two sliders + fries) and picked the Hot spice level (two below Reaper).

Portions were generous -- this isn't a place where you leave hungry. What caught me off guard was the salad. It came out genuinely crisp, not the wilted afterthought you get at most fried chicken spots, and they layer it right under the chicken so the greens stay fresh while the chicken sits on top. Small touch, but it says a lot about how much attention they're paying. Fries were double-fried and it shows -- shatter-crisp on the outside, still soft inside, finished with parm and herbs and a strong dipping sauce lineup. Reasonably priced for the quality and portion size. I'll be back.

The nostalgia hit me the moment I walked in, it genuinely felt like I was back in Korea, enjoying fried chicken with a cold beer in chilled glasses. From the atmosphere to the food and overall quality, everything felt authentic. We started with the onion rings ($8) with some beer and Diet Coke, followed by 10 garlic soy spicy wings ($12+) and the spicy pork rice topped with a fried egg ($16). The onion rings were perfectly fried, soooooo crispy, perfectly seasoned, and a great way to start the meal. The wings were outstanding and EXACTLY HOW TO GET THEM IN SEOUL: crunchy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and coated in a flavorful garlic soy sauce with just the right amount of heat. The spicy pork rice was rich, savory, and packed with umami and the salad which came with it was extremely refreshing. It didn't taste overly spicy while I was eating it, but I noticed the heat afterward, lol. Overall, it was a great and satisfying meal. The service was excellent, and our server was incredibly kind. She patiently offered thoughtful recommendations, gave us plenty of time to decide, and kept the restaurant clean / managed it while we decided the order. If you are craving authentic Korean fried chicken and spicy bold, umami-packed flavors, this place is absolutely worth a visit.

We cast our culinary lines into the waters of this Olathe staple tonight…read more It's been a decade or more since I last graced these shores, so I was eager to see if it still held onto that rustic charm. Stepping inside is like stepping straight into 1990--clean, nostalgic, and completely frozen in time. We kicked off with the traditional, complimentary family-style spread: ham and beans, hush puppies, and coleslaw. I'm not a big beans-and-slaw guy, but they nailed the traditional flavor profile for anyone who is. The hush puppies, however, were a total Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Dry--half of them were perfectly moist with a crisp shell, while the rest felt ready to turn to dust in the wind. I went non-traditional and reeled in the Hunter's Special: rotisserie duck (leg and thigh), fried quail, and a jumbo frog leg with mashed potatoes and gravy. The taters and gravy were easily the most comforting part of the meal. All the meats delivered good flavor, though It was like biting into you an oil slick. The fried quail was the standout catch of the day for me--I'm one of those people who eats the bones, so aside from the heavy grease, I was in crunch heaven. One highlight of the plate was trying the Gunslinger hot sauce, which delivered the fiery flame I was looking for. Service was the biggest snag of the night. My friend mentioned the staff is usually exceptionally friendly, but our server gave off pure robot energy--strictly matter-of-fact with zero charisma. The ultimate cringe moment was watching her grab our drink glasses from the top like an arcade claw machine, completely crushing my friend's straw in the process. The food made it to the table, but human warmth was entirely off the menu. Come for the rustic nostalgia, the crunchy quail, and the Gunslinger sauce--just hope for a server with a bit more soul.
