I decided to sit outside since it was a nice day, and they do have both indoor and outdoor seating options. As for the food--portions are definitely generous. I ordered two sliders (mild spice level) and a salad. The sliders had thick pieces of chicken, and while they were filling, the chicken itself was a bit too thick for my liking and didn't have much flavor beyond the spicy seasoning on the outside. We walked in and we were greeted right away. We ordered our food and went to the drink station. There was no ice so we had to drink warm drinks. We found an empty table and it was pretty gross, but we cleaned the table and sat. A few minutes later our meal was called. We both got a #4 single slider with a side. The bread was soft and fresh, the chicken crunchy, tender and juicy with nice bright veggies! We also ordered some Fries, they were perfect, crunchy on the outside and pillowy soft on the inside with great seasoning. I've eaten at Dave's twice now, and the food was surprisingly good! I didn't know this was a chain, but there's several locations around San Antonio. I ordered the hot chicken nuggets once and the hot chicken strips once, and the crunch and heat levels were perfect! It's a fun store and definitely appeals to the younger crowd. Why do people like chic-filet so much? This place blows any chicken place out of the coop. I'm not fond of the building and the parking lot. Though the inside is clean, every time I've gone there it's packed out and feels claustrophobic and the building seams to be a shared business complex. And the entrance is almost missable. But.....the food is fantastic! When I do want to eat here I just get it delivered because of the reasons I listed. And it's quicker. I love that you can choose your spice level. I do feel like they should put more slaw in the sandwiches, often times its slaw amount is inconsistent. I always order extra slaw on the side to put in my sandwich. Pickles are great, fries are great, chicken is fabulous! Why go anywhere else for your chicken fix? I haven't tried their delicious cereal blended shakes but I will have to soon. Check them out. Second time eating here both times it was to go. Chicken was hot and fresh. We had the 2 sliders and ordered mild spiciness. I have tried the medium heat and both are good. The mild had just a little kick but nothing too crazy that got hotter the more I ate it. The medium heat was good however I felt like it got hotter and hotter as I ate it. Not unbareable heat but it did get hotter. I will say I prefer eating the sliders over the chicken tender by itself. I feel like the coleslaw, sauce and pickles compliment the sandwhich well and pairs well with medium heat. Eating tender by itself was just ok. Felt like missing stuff. Fries were fresh each time and had right amount of seasoning. My only note is that the size of the chicken in the sandwhich was not consistent. 1st time I ordered it was very small(why I ordered combo with 2 this time) this time the chicke was much bigger and I couldn't eat both sandwiches. HAPPY to see that Dave's has finally decided to open in the 7th largest city in the US! I've been to this location thrice now, and although it wasn't my first time having Dave's -- I've been there to their LA & Vegas locations -- this one is just as good. I think the reason this joint / franchise is so popular is because of its limited menu -- you really can't mess up if this is all you're serving. Crispy & thick coated chicken w/ your choice of spice is what makes this interesting. I LOVE spice but I can't handle DHC's "hot" chicken. I usually opt for medium spice and I'd recommend mild for your young ones. Outside of their sliders, we are also fans of their French fries and their shakes (m&m one is BOMB). The inside of this facility is quite clean and it seems the tables are quickly cleaned after patrons leave so that the next group has an easy time finding a table. There is also outside sitting and they have plenty of high chairs which is a PLUS for me. PS. Ask for honey packets to go with the chicken! Tastes absolutely delish. read more

I told her wait till I leave before you make my milkshake and it's a good thing I did because I waited 35 minutes just to get my meal 10 people that came after me were helped before I was helped.
