First time trying DHC and still wondering how such a new place is already in a state of disrepair? We tried three different tables and every one of them was extremely wobbly. Set your elbows on the table and the whole thing tips! But I digress... Bright and colorful, welcoming interior, with tall ceilings and not very many tables. The high ceilings and the AC ducts up there made the dining room absolutely freezing. Bring your hoodie. Ordered the 1 slider 1 tender meal #3. (Drinks are not included) food arrived, chicken was hot and fries were not. The tenders they use are heavily breaded but very large and tender. Quality tender for sure, just wish they didn't have such heavy breading. The cold fries were nothing special. If you're sensitive to heat levels, you probably don't want to go more than medium. We had medium and hot, and the hot had quite a kick (we like hot and spicy but I could see how this could surprise some people). Pickles on the side were really good. Staff was very friendly, and they even had someone regularly clearing the tables. We felt the DHC experience was overhyped. We found the whole experience was just ok. Her professionalism, knowledge of Dave's menu and pricing, and her ability to deliver the best service with the happiest smile on her face was enough to make me want to return. My son chose to have his birthday dinner here. My first time, the rest of my family's second time. We were greeted upon entry. Order taken quickly and food came out fresh. I ordered the medium sliders with fries. The chicken is so crunchy and flavorful. I'm not big on spicy but the medium paired with the bun it comes in and the Dave's sauce were the perfect trio. I needed to get something fast in the area and I stumbled upon this hidden gem! When I drove up I noticed it was new as well as other businesses in the shopping area. It has a drive through and the employee helped me with the menu through the speaker. I love spicy, so I ordered the #3 which is 1 tender and 1 slider. But let me tell you, there is nothing small about these tenders and sliders, they are a great portion size! I went all out and got the Hot for the slider and really hot for the tender. I know once we got in and ordered food it came along quickly. My slider was perfect with the fries, very tasty with a good size of chicken. A different twist with the kale slaw as well. Now my fruity pebbles milk shake wasn't worth it to me, it was a mid vanilla with a chunk of fruity pebbles on top, so I don't recommend that. Served fresf, took about 6 mins for them prepare the order. Great service inside. Plenty of friendly employees moving around and staying busy and being helpful. We had it on the south side, was pretty good. Then they made this one, we were so excited, then VERY quickly disappointed. To-Go bag was dripping with sauce, they packed it to where all the containers where lopsided, leaking into each other and into the bag. I couldn't even get mad, because it was that ridonkulous. So of course, I had to make the trip back INSIDE (terrible customer service, as they have the youngest local high school children managing the place), they addressed it - then got home, all the boxes were nasty and sticky on the outside. And to be very honest - the chicken was over-slathered, wet and cold, BBQ smoke favor made all 5 people at my table gag - literally, it was so gross. Try the BBQ - it WILL make you gag. Just went here for dinner on a Sunday evening and the place was packed so I figured there would be a long wait. Nope, got my food in about five minutes. Got the #3 combo of a slider, a tender, and fries extra hot and gotta say they completely nailed everything. I love heat but have no desire for something stupidly hot I have to sign a waiver for, so forget reaper level spice, but the extra hot was just what I was looking for. Pretty decent heat that made me sweat a little but not something that's going to make you cough or anything. Chicken was cooked perfectly too, very juicy inside, nice and crispy and covered in hot sauce outside. It's pretty pricy but the tenders are huge and enjoyed the slaw on the slider too. I like that they serve real honey with your meal also. Staff was friendly.
