I was the first customer in. I brought my own oil and filter, which they allow for, but want cash payment for just the labor. I said great. I also asked them if they could replace my 4 spark plugs on top of my engine--I also had my own new set with me. He said it would be an additional 40 dollars, to which I told him "I felt that that was a little ridiculous". Yes. I said those exact words. Yes. Yes I did. I said them calmly and clearly and simply. Then--immediately-- Without words, and with extreme urgency, he gathered my oil and filter, opened my car door, set them inside and told me to leave. More than a bit over-reactive for my taste. So if the person above whose review is "I wonder why it's so empty there" still needs an answer...my experience may lend some insight as to why. Honestly, I feel like I showed up on a Monday morning stood in front of an unhappy man coming off a rough weekend. I get it. Could I have chosen a more agreeable word to let him know I thought his price was unreasonable? You bet. 100%. That said...you should have seen the fury burning in that man's' eyes as I stood there watching him have a coronary in front of me behind a simple transaction. Been coming to get oil changes for 2 years in 2 cars and was very satisfied with quick walk-in and good value oil change service (5 stars). Always brought my parts. Decided to try brake service and was quite disappointed with the result. I asked which brake parts needs changing and bought those parts myself. installation was very quick. Fast forward 2 months, I started hearing squeaking sound. The owner said I should have changed rotors too which he initially checked and said were good. Hence the 3 star rating. If you're looking for a place where they do fast oil change, this place is it. I've been coming here to have my oil changed for a couple of years now and they haven't increased the price from what I remembered. I know some auto body shops can charge you an overpriced fee, but this is as affordable as it can get. They also pump air into your tires and run a full inspection. This spot is a little small though and can probably serve two cars at once. However, they're quick and know what they're doing. The entrance to the shop is located in the back, so once you turn into the street from Magnolia, take a left turn into the shop. If you're worried they'll mess with your car parts and try to "play"/"trick" you in thinking something is wrong with your car, they won't. They're honest. I definitely will keep coming here. Well, I didn't think it could be done... but the reviews are true! When I pulled in, they remembered who I was after calling earlier in the morning. I got out of the car and they immediately got to work. They said they'd be done in ten minutes, so I just hung around in the back open area - and within ten minutes, they had finished the oil change and full safety check - AND at a lower price than I was quoted! They were efficient, kind, and thorough. I would DEFINITELY recommend coming here! Side note - I've often found that I'm treated differently going to a mechanic as a young woman, but the folks here were kind, direct, and didn't talk down to me. These guys are the best. Always helpful and friendly, and although I don't know much about auto repair I have never ever felt overcharged! They will not sell you anything you don't need. Considering their's a pandemic lockdown going on, Dave's was quickly able to service my wife's car while the Honda dealer is shut down. And for less than half what the dealer would charge. Had the oil and filter changed, full synthetic oil, all fluids checked and topped off, the tires rotated l, and a tire with a nail in it repaired, all in less than half an hour for under a hundred bucks, tax and disposal fees included! Had a pretty positive experience at Dave's. They told me I was bone dry of any oil. With that said my car does burn oil especially when it's of the thinner grade. After driving around for about 2 to 3 weeks it was dry again. Had to buy some Lucas Oil Stabalizer which did the trick. read more
