So Dr Milestien himself, did not do a bad job. I was expecting a little more definition but overall I do look slimmer. It's his receptionist, Ada, that I will forever regret ever meeting. First she tried to charge me an extra $500 which she could not justify. I put the money in her hand she told me that I was paid off and then told me wait you owe an extra 500 and could not tell me why. So, I canceled obviously, but when the next day I was offered a plan to resolve this matter it was too late and I lost my surgery date and had to wait an extra two months. Which by the way, would be Christmas and my birthday, needless to say the two events were absolutely destroyed. I ended up crying most of the time because I could not function enough to give my two special needs children a good Christmas or enjoy my birthday. Not only that, this woman charged my card (the second time I charged some of it) with interest when we specifically told her not to so I ended up having to pay a lot of money on interest for the job that was done. I regret the day I met her she was rude, it was disgusting, she should not deal with people!! Not to mention they insisted that I had Lipo before in an area where I didn't and because I could not prove it I still ended up having to pay the 500. Also, she forgot and didn't give me the pre-op information until the night before so I was very unprepared for my surgery. The doctor isn't bad but I'm sure there are places that are a little more professional, Im sure it's not a coincidence that she was charging me the $500 before my exam and then after my exam suddenly I need to pay an extra $500 for a procedure I never had. This situation haunts me, so I had to do a review. They really should treat their clients better than this. So the two stars is because my surgery wasn't bad but the service horrible.... I was a little worried because I just found the office through Groupon and had never known anyone who went to the office. But I read the reviews and it settled me down a little. I want the lipo so bad I decided to take the chance and have the lipo done. I must say I am so so so happy I did!!! I love my results! Dr Milstein did such a good job. He also was so attentive after. Dr. Milstein did lipo on my flanks (aka muffin top) and even during the Covid shut down his team remained super accommodating and even though I had to reschedule because of shut downs, they were always in communication and got me in as soon as they could. Dr. Milstein himself is very very good at what he does, the procedure was over in a couple hours and his bedside manner is so professional and relaxed that this was a dream compared to the last time I had lipo, His results are even, thorough, and the skin is tight and I am so, so happy. Last time I had lipo I looked lumpy and my skin was puckered and I was reluctant to try this ever again but he is amazing and I am so happy I did! This pic was the only full body post op I had, I was still super swollen and not supposed to be out of my garment but I am down 4 pants sizes from just flanks lipo and I have a waist again. This office is very unorganized, they have a groupon sale and it all seems a scam. My husband called to get info and they gave him different stories as if they did not want to honor their Groupon price. First they told me I can have surgery in June 25th but I need consult before that and I was fine with that, then that said nevermind you can have consult July but surgery needs to be two months out. I also noticed he is an ophthalmologist not a plastic surgeon kinda scary. I decided to go else where and pay more for better treatment and quality work. Save your money this place is a joke and gives you the round around. Dr.Milstein did a great job on my liposuction on my flanks, lower back and bra roll. I have been planning to have another cosmetic procedure and other doctors have complimented on his work. I also appreciated that he recommended me to have a tummy tuck oppose to the liposuction on my abdomen because he knew I would not like the outcome of very loose skin. I had my procedure done with Dr. Milstein a year ago next month. I've gone back and forth with myself about leaving a review at all but I think it's necessary at this point. I initially found Dr. Milstein via Groupon for La body sculpture like many others. I went in for a consultation with a friend of mine. That was where we met Helen. Helen was warm and made us feel very comfortable. She went over everything with us and showed us what the costs would be for various areas and what we should get done to achieve our goals. She let us know that if we had any questions or concerns that we could reach out to her and she wrote her number and email on our forms. As days went by, I had more and more questions. I tried reaching out to Helen quite a few times and never heard from her. (Later on down the line when I read more reviews it seemed as though I wasn't the only one who encountered this). That didn't make much sense to me because surgery is a big deal. So if you're seeing someone who made you feel so comfortable, there's no reason why she shouldn't be reachable after the consultation. I decided to go ahead with the surgery. I was doing my upper and lower stomach, flanks, and lower back. I wanted to do my upper back as well but Helen said that only 4 areas can be done in one surgery. I agreed to it. I got all of the bodysuits, meds, and supplies I needed. On the day of the surgery is when I met Dr. Milstein. He marked me up and I was off for surgery. The surgery itself wasn't bad. I didn't feel much and it seemed to go by fast. Once it was over the nurses helped me into my garment and I headed home. By the time I got home I was drenched from leaking so much. And I had to use the bathroom as well as change my padding so I removed my suit. At that point I couldn't get it back on and started panicking. I immediately called the doctor to ask what I should do because I didn't want this to create any issues with my recovery. I didn't receive an answer. I didn't hear from anyone until days later. After the surgery there was definitely a noticeable change in my body. I was 100% satisfied with the work done on my waist but not with my stomach. I felt as though a little more could've been done but i was told that I would see better results as time goes on. It's been a year and I still feel the same way about how my stomach looks. When I finally got in for my post op, I was told that I'm not seeing results because I had gained weight. I didn't feel that was fair to say but of course understood that they weren't going to blame themselves. Peoples weight fluctuate. And when I went I had just had lunch and I also drink a ton of water. From then until now communication with the office has been extremely terrible. I've been told they lost my phone number and my email, while they are responding to my email that has my number in it. I've tried to schedule appoints at the 3 and 6 month mark and having to literally hound them down to get the appointment. It's really unfortunate that I had to go to those lengths when they are the ones that encourage their patients to come back. I wanted to come back to do a second procedure, but the treatment I have received from the staff has made me reconsider completely. I had a group on...... SMH Staff was helpful, very nice. Didn't met dr til the surgery. He drew all over me even places I wasn't being worked on. I had fat transfer to the breasts. HAD AN INFECTION ON BOTH SIDES AND NO VOLUME STAYED. WASTE OF MONEY AND PAIN. my abs and flanks are so hard I cant sleep, bend, sit or stand. Dr wouldn't return calls or texts. The hang of my belly looks smaller, but I still look 9months pregnant. Swelling is gone. I still look the same. I am 1 month post op and all communication has stopped. I had my surgery on October 8 and this Wednesday will be 6 weeks post surgery. I did my inner/outer thighs and my lower and upper stomach. I thought it would be a good time to write a review as my results have stabled. Before reading, please keep in mind that every experience AND body is different. Do your research with whoever you decide to go to. So this journey began a few years back when I decided I wanted to get lipo. The first place I went to in San Diego told me I was not a good candidate as I would have excess skin. I wanted a second opinion. I contacted this place and never received a call back, so I gave up for a while. Fast-forward a few years later. I saw LA Body Sculpture on Groupon and after having done coolsculpting, I decided to see if lipo would be better (and "less expensive"). I contacted the office again with no luck, and went on here to see if I can reach someone. Sure enough I did, and the process began. Most of my initial contact was with Helen, who was nice and seemingly helpful. She later disappeared after my procedure was all set and even though I texted her a couple of times - no response. The main office pretty much took it from there. This was my first irritation. I got my labs done through my insurance to save money as they charge $200 to do it through them. Garments and meds are an extra purchase as well. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU GET THE RIGHT GARMENT SIZE. This affected my results terribly. With the Groupon, it was taken as a down payment of sorts and the rest to be paid prior to day of surgery. There was another mix up at this point. Helen quoted me the price of which was recalculated once my Groupon was applied with the office. I based my loan amount off of what was emailed to me by the office and when I went in to pay, was told I was x-amount short (it was a few hundred). I went into a panic because I was not taking out another loan nor did I want to spend my own money for that. They pulled up the email in which had the amount that I was emailed, so they honored that. This was an example of great customer service and was appreciated. Ok, so let's get to the surgery. Day of surgery was nerve-wrecking. I was to have upper and lower abs as well as flanks. Both of the nurses in the procdeure room were extremely nice and warm. I drank the magic drug and was "sedated." The procedure began and it was very weird. Because it is awake lipo, you're aware. I was OK, but began to feel stinging and more than just pressure discomfort. I let one of the nurses I know I can feel it and she told Dr. Milstein, but nothing was giving to make it less painful again and the rest of the procedure was something out of a nightmare. It hurt very much and I don't think they really understand this. Post-lipo was also a nightmare, but I know this can be expected and again, I did not have the right sized garment. They say they will make you buy a new one right then and there if it's not the correct size, but this was not in my case. During healing both the office and Dr. Milstein were very good at checking in periodically, but I did have to email and text several times to get an answer in some cases. Also not the best at answering ALL concerns and I feel like many times my questions were rushed through. My end result was a more defined waist and less lower belly hang, so I am happy about that. I am unhappy because there is an irregularity (a lumpy part) on my stomach which Dr. Milstein offered to correct for free - which I was thankful for. I set the appointment, but after much consideration and thinking back to the initial experience, I cancelled and will not be returning. I wish that a partial refund was an option for this lumpy piece and the painful experience, but I am quite sure that is out of the question. I will be achieving the rest of my results via healthy eating and gym and hope my stomach will even out that way. Overall, I would say do your research. I gave 3 stars simply because my waist is more smooth -looking and my belly fat looks a tad better. I am not completely dissatisfied with the results but as you can see, the whole ordeal wasn't all sunshine and unicorns. read more

BOTCHED JOB!!! Don't do it. This doctor doesn't care about you or your follow ups. I have been left with a pocket on my lower neck between my shoulders. He drained me 3 times and insisted I get a second opinion. I did and the other doctors told me I needed to be drained again. This Dr would not return my call or messages after the third drainage Completely unprofessional! And from what I've read he's not a surgeon but an optometrist maybe this is why he can't stitch anyone up and only administer local anesthesia. Legal action is in the works and will definitely seek punitive damages. Doctors are held at a higher level of standard and trained to be compassionate and understanding. He's a joke. His words were "as long as you're not in pain you'll be ok" unbelievable and disgusting!!!! GROUPON should remove this lying idiot from their site! First of all, I'd like to thank Dr. Milstein and his staff at LABodySculpture for an amazing experience and a job well done. I recently underwent a fat transfer to my buttocks a month and a half ago. I am 27 years old and I have never been happier with my body than today. My recovery time was about 3 weeks and although I did have some moderate pain, Dr. Milstein recommended ways in order to help feel better and ease the pain. Time did fly by, and I can't believe how good I look, but most importantly how good I feel and how much better I feel about myself now. Dr. Milstein is an artist of lipo. I had my procedure three months ago and I couldn't be happier; amazing results! He and his staff were very clear about what I could and should do before, during and most importantly after the procedure and I followed it very strictly- it was worth it. The office is a bit on the basic side and it takes a while to get appointments scheduled because they are quite busy but the prices are reasonable and the staff is really responsive and available via phone, text and email. They will explain everything, line up all the steps for you and make it very easy. I can't say this enough: wear your suit day and night as they tell you, and you won't regret it. Yes, it will hurt but then, it is lipo. You have to be a participant in your own care, be clear as to what you want, communicate, and have realistic expectations. If you do that, you will most likely be very very happy with Dr Milstein and his staff. Dr. Milstein is great and has wonderful communication. Honestly, the whole process was really pleasant. I had a Groupon so I decided to get my flanks done which was my main problem area since it was loose skin. My consultation was very quick and straight to the point. They outlined my problem area and what they'd do, and showed what other areas could be fixed if I wanted them done (which I didn't at the time but more than likely will in the future). My procedure was about a month later. I met Dr. Milstein that same day and he was very polite and walked me through the whole process. Essentially how the procedure is done is they'll give you some medicine to drink to make you drowsy. During the operation he pumps anesthesia in your areas and after you're numb, a tube is inserted to suck the fat out. I had their nurse (I forgot her name but she was so sweet) help me turn on to my sides since I was pretty drowsy. Afterwards they help you put your compression garment on and they'll put bandages/pads on the incisions since you will leak some anesthesia. The healing process was great, I went back to work after three days and just on my sides alone, I went down 10 pounds. Overall the team is wonderful, results are stunning and I will be coming back soon. read more

I took advantage of the $499 deal on Groupon and decided I wanted a few more areas done. It took me a month to schedule my consultation and a month out to schedule my procedure. I had to wait about an hour just to get my consultation started. I reported to their office lobby, where there is no reception area, just a room. You have to knock on a door for them to know you have arrived. After a few minutes, they took me to the elevator to another office in the building and I was told that they were having and inspection. I've read you normally don't meet Dr. Milstein until the day of the procedure, but he popped in during my consultation as he needed to speak with Helen, the patient consultant, so I was able to meet him briefly. During the consultation, I was asked to remove my clothes. Helen was very friendly and I felt comfortable with her. She took pictures of me on an iPad and showed me what they would remove by drawing on the pictures. She was informative and suggested I have other areas done, which later I decided to do. So the total for my procedure came out to: $499 for the Groupon special $200 for Lab Work $100 for Surgical Garment $100 for Meds So during my month period of prepping for my procedure, I maintained a better diet, went to the gym, stopped drinking caffeine, etc... During this time, I decided I wanted to have more areas done, so I was able to text one of the staff members about making sure I purchased the right garment for the procedure. She was really friendly and responded to my texts when I had concerns. The week before my procedure, I fell ill and couldn't take any meds as cold medicine is on their no-list of things before lipo, So I had to ride it out hoping to feel better in time. The day before my procedure, I called to confirm that I was coming tomorrow since I hadn't heard anything from them for two weeks. They called me later that day saying they lost my contact information and had been trying to call me for weeks to tell me that Dr. Milstein was no longer available and I would have to reschedule for three weeks later... ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Lost my info? What kind of business loses a patient's information? And after I had been texting one of the staff members... And three weeks later? I had already taken the time off and could not wait three weeks as I planned my entire schedule around my original procedure. I was upset and the rep on the phone didn't seem phased at what an inconvenience this was. I asked for a refund since it was the doctor's fault for cancelling. She informed me I had to request a refund through Groupon, which is another story. So after my preparations and the money I put out, I was left empty handed. They didn't even bother to alert the pharmacy that the doctor wouldn't be performing lipo on me anymore and they still charged my CC for the medication. So I'm giving two stars because I can't base it on the out come, but of the how the situation was handled. On a side note, I believe they did me a favor because of all the things I've read about this company. Fake five star reviews, botched procedures, unresponsive post surgery... I also learned that it is illegal for them to charge the 10% fee to use Care Credit, if you decide to go that route and that Dr. Milstein is not a board certified plastic surgeon. Too much negative over the positive to take the risk. I did end up going else where, to the Beverly Hills Institute of Plastic Surgery where I was able to get a consultation the day after I requested one and was able to have the procedure done the next morning. They even honored my labs and let me get the procedure so quick because I was ready to go. The quality of service and the office is like night and day. So I got cancelled on April 1st from Dr. Milstein, and was in on April 4th at BHIP at the other office. The turn around was phenomenal. So glad I went this route. I don't doubt that Dr. Milstein could have performed an excellent job at my procedure, or anyone else's... But just as a precaution, do your research, shop doctors and hope that this doesn't happen to you. read more

Went last week for a consultation. A consultation that literally took me 2 months to get. I really didn't get why it took so long or why they booked so far out. I expected to see a busy office as a result of the scheduling. Not the case, it was empty when I arrived. The set up is weird to say the least. You enter the office and you are in a dark, silent room, a love seat and a flat screen t.v. that isn't turned on. (kinda like when you walk into a counseling office) . I'm standing there thinking, ok.???? This is weird! So I'm in this closed off room, no reception window, just a room. Then Helen appears, very friendly lady who hands me a clip board and a bunch of papers to fill out. When I'm done, I ring a bell on the wall. She reappears and takes me to a room. This place is TINY inside, or I just didn't see the rest of the office. But it was strange, just Helen and I in this room that was obviously also being used for storage. Boxes, stacked high to the ceiling of supplies, pretty crammed for space in there. We were the only two in this empty, quiet office. I feel that as much money as this Dr. is making here with the procedures done, they can at least spring for a room divider or some kind of curtain to hide all of the boxes. Ends up that I'm really not a good candidate for their services and I appreciated Helen's honesty. But personally, I would think twice about getting something done here even if I did need it just based on my observations of the office and the weird vibe. And PS...they DON'T validate. I first contacted the office a few months back. Yvette was very quick to respond by phone, text, or email to my million questions. After losing about 70 lbs 5 years ago, I had been looking into lipo to correct the contours of my midsection. I did a lot of research and the prices here were very reasonable. They made everything very easy. Prepaid my lab tests and showed up the day of. Yvette and the team were very caring and treated me like family. I was very scared of not getting numb because that's a common struggle for me. Dr. Milstein was so sweet and easy to talk to. Not gonna lie, I was high as a kite and don't remember much except how easy the whole thing was. I was kinda miserable the first two days after and I'm still very swollen but I see the changes already and it's been less than a week. I want to preface this review by stating that some of the things stated in previous reviews are accurate. Their office is small, I didn't meet Dr. Milstein until the day of the procedure and also Dr. Milstein is NOT a Plastic Surgeon but a cosmetic surgeon with a specialization in eyes (although he does have 10+ years experience doing Laser Lipo). Also keep in mind everyone heals differently and results vary so be realistic with your expectations. I personally just wanted to do my flanks (love handles) so for the $500 groupon special I was a perfect candidate and figure I had nothing to lose by going in for the consultation. Other places would not touch me for less than $2,000- $2,500+. Laser lipo requires practice and experience, both of which Dr. Milstein has. If having a fancy office in Beverly Hills with a supermodel receptionist and meeting the doctor for the consultation are worth paying 3-10 times the amount then more power to you. I had laser lipo done on another area at a Beverly Hills doctor and paid significantly more money and did NOT get good results. Dr. Milstein and his staff (especially Helen) were AWESOME at making me feel at ease. They offered me a quick consultation since they had a cancellation and answered all my questions before I even booked the Groupon. They didn't try and hard sell or upgrade me on ANYTHING and let me know exactly how much everything including the garments, pads, pain meds etc would cost. The day of the procedure they answered any final questions I had, got me sedated and numbed up and got to work. I had nearly no discomfort and minimal bruising post operatively and the entire procedure was done in less than 90 minutes. They provided me outstanding service and made sure to follow up with me via email after the procedure. Dr. Milstein even called me himself the following day! They periodically checked in with me and asked for photos to monitor my results and also gave me the option of coming in if I wanted. Keep in mind following the procedure it is SUPER important you wear your garment and be advised you WILL be lumpy for a few weeks to months following the procedure. I personally experienced pain that interfered with my sleep immediately after the procedure but taking just Tylenol was enough for me and even that I only needed for a few days. Also I did experience a feeling of tightness on my flanks as my body healed in the area. Other than that no other adverse effects. I'm at the 6 month mark and finally feel completely healed (no lumps, no tingling sensation, everything even). My personal advise is to make sure you massage the areas to get the blood flow going and minimize lumps (THANKS HELEN for the suggestion). I felt compelled to write a YELP review since they did a great job and I don't mind posting my pictures to show that I'm a genuine client and not a family member or employee as some people have implied. For starters I went to go get it evaluated to get some lipo with a transfer to the buttocks I specifically told the intake that I wanted more fat in certain areas, when the surgery took place I was ready with my compression garment which they purchased for me out of my pocket they chose it yet between the intake and the doctor there was a disagreement it's not the first time it happens with the Garment after a couple of months I pretty much got my result and I was very very unhappy because I specifically told him to put that fat in that area. If you ask me during the intake I was told that if I want it more fat in that same area I would have to pay $1,000 more if you ask me that is a scam for them not to perform the procedure properly so that you can go back and pay them more money for the poor quality of work, sorry guys but this is not the place to have LiPo. If there were zero stars that I could put I would definitely put the 0 Stars please be careful I spent 35 Hundred and some pretty much for nothing just terrible pain at the post surgery they also did the surgery with local anesthesia it was horrible. read more

Mindblowingly, unbelievably amazing. The doctor is the best caretaker in all medicine I've had in my life. The staff is fun, helpful, and always there for questions. Seriously, these procedures made me have such a better outlook on my health and my life and I'm looking forward to doing the rest of the work on my own after tons of help from the doctor. Before I make an appointment with to Dr. Milstein, I read over 80% of all the negative on yelp. I find most of the complaint was about his waiting room being dark or some negative remark regarding the office staff, things which has no merit on his performance as a physician . I also notice he is an ophthalmologist which in my opinion if he passed all the requirement to become surgeon more power to him, not many are able to learn new procedure after being on one filled for so many years & become surgeon. my surgery was almost 3 months ago; I am very happy I choose Dr. Milstein I meet Helen and I find her very informed about her job & honest.
