I had a lipo procedure with Dr. Millstein in October 2015 for my love handles and lower back. It took a little while to get my first appointment and then to get my surgery scheduled, but it was worth it!! His staff was nice, helpful, answered all my questions, made me feel comfortable. Dr. Millstein was also amazing, he made sure I felt comfortable, made sure I understood his procedures are safe and is realistic towards his approach to patients. You should not have unrealistic expectations doing these procedures, Dr. Millstein does his part and it is up to you as a patient to take care of yourself thereafter. It has been a few months now since my procedure and I'm really happy with my results. It has been so many years I've waited to get rid of this stubborn fat, and now it's gone. Staffs are great and very accompdating,Dr.M is very very knowledgable,he is an eye specialist as well as a license cosmetic surgeon.His work is excellent.Just an info,Doctors are busy so dont expect them to be calling you everytime,in this case Dr.M is one of that kind,if you dont text or call him he will not communicate with you Asap,he will wait for you to contact him,but the post op check ups are great because he will literally tell you if you are in good shape or you need to avoid this and that.,he strictly told me that to have a proper posture or else i will end up getting some lines,lumpy or bumpy and bad results.. read more

I am floored by Dr Milstein's professionalism, artistry and good work that i joined yelp to write this review. I never write reviews! I went to see him for liposuction and he was very kind to schedule me in as soon as he could. The procedure went well and unlike other doctors, he wants to see progress pics of the recovery by text. On top of that, he was easily assessable by text. I've been to many doctors and I've never encountered this. He was concerned about the speed of my recovery and I went in to see him and without giving away confidential information, he helped my recovery all the way until months down the road. He is a true artist as he wants his work to be perfect. He is a true doctor as in he cares about recovery. On top of that, he has the most reasonable rates for this work. Dr.M is a great doc, down to earth understands what you want, The staff where the greatest most helpful there was only one thing that I wasn't cool with, I was suppose to get my fat transferred to my breast but it didn't happen because they told me I needed a mammogram the day of my purseger but it worked out because I got it on my butt instead. As of May 10th 2018 ______________________________ I would like to report that several people have come to me with their nightmare experiences, they signed away their rights to speaking bad about Dr Milstein himself. I will be happy to share your stories, if you want me too. It may not seem like much but over 60 confirmed people have not be subjected to his possible butchery that I know of due to this site alone. They will not allow pictures to be posted but he falsely advertises himself saying he has never had a patient with a serious complication. I am proof of that. I am still to this day working to keep people informed as I still do not have feeling anymore on the surgical sites that he fried black.. I am deformed, and still unable to afford to get fixed. He has never offered to do so. Ive heard stories of what some real plastic surgeons think of him in Beverly Hills through botched work. Im told his lack of skill brings them business to fix his mistakes. Look on his website and see where he says he has never has any severe complications. I almost bled out in my bath tub, I have perm nerve damage, Im deformed, I had 3rd degree burns. If those arent severe, Im terrified as to what he believes severe to be.. As of Sept 23, 2016. ______________________________ I was just notified by Yelp that someone (I assume the Dr or an affiliate of his) made my final update about my experience with him brought to their attention. They said I couldn't post a new update but I could edit a previous. So here is the previous update that someone DID NOT want you to see.. should ask yourselves why?.. So the time ran out & I wasn't able to find a lawyer on contingency. I found Dr. Milstein through GROUPON (499.00, for 1 section) & when I shared what happened with groupon they immediately apologized and refunded me half the amount. I told Groupon later, all the details about him altering my medical records & unwilling to help fix his mistakes. 《》Penal Code 471.5. = Any person who alters or modifies the medical record of any person, with fraudulent intent, or who, with fraudulent intent, creates any false medical record, is guilty of a misdemeanor.《》 Groupon refunded the rest of my money with their sincerest apologies & hopes that it doesn't happen to anyone else. 《《Remember this all.》》 The reason you don't see more bad reviews is becuase he makes patients sign over their rights to him. I have several messages sent privately to me about him. His lack of professionalism is what made him miss the fact, that I did not sign that waiver, so he doesn't own my voice. Dr Milstein, I'll never stop speaking out about what you did to me, unless you make it right. I'm deformed now & have nerve damage. Previous update prior to the removal of my update above ___________________________________________________________ I've tried several ways of coming to terms with the doctors lawyer and they've rejected even my request to just finish the job that should've been done the first time. My lawyer has asked me to reach out and see if anyone would be willing to put their experience in writing & send to me. Also, when i recieved my medical records they were incorrect, he didn't document what the treatment and even the medications the he said he gave me were the wrong ones. I'm going to be filing a grievance to the state medical board against his license for falsifying my medical records. If any of you would be willing to request your records and see if he changed anything on your records, it would be fantastic to have more examples to give to the state board. read more

Update: my initial impression of Dr Milstein still stands as knowledgeable with a great bedside manner. Only now I have an additional reason for being impressed. I believed that stopping communication with me at the one month mark meant he was satisfied with my results and unless I opted for other procedures I would never have contact again. Boy was I wrong! As I stated previously the doctor told me he chose to be conservative with my lower back because if he wasn't satisfied , he could always go back and take out a little more fat. Well he truly is a man of his word. At my recent visit he acknowledged he wasn't as satisfied with my lower back results as he would have liked and offered to do some extra lipo. So perhaps I jumped the gun by saying what I did about his follow up care. In my opinion this fact means the doctor really does care about his results and his patients. I have opted to proceed with some additional lipo and will reserve my follow up final review until after my forthcoming procedure. Well here I am again! In my first review I mentioned how I bought a Groupon deal and after my initial consultation at the Milstein clinic with his female representative, I was informed that I was not a good candidate for lipo on my stomach or lower back so it was decided that the only area that would turn out great would be my flanks. Nevertheless in January 2016 on the day of the procedure which was the first time I met Dr. Milstein , while he was marking my flank area , he informed me that to get optimal results , I really should have my lower back done simultaneously . I repeated what his rep told me ( that I was not a good candidate) and dr. Milstein disagreed. He said he would be conservative and if need be could always go back again and remove more fat. So I trusted him and plunked down an additional approximate $1400.00 The results in my flanks were ok, not the greatest but definitely an improvement. The results on my lower back were dismal. Several months post procedure when it became apparent that my results were poor , Dr. Milstein offered to redo my lower back and I was so impressed by that offer , I Booked a secondary procedure for June 2016 and upon his recommendation I also opted to have an additional two areas done ( my upper and lower stomach) . I know what you might be thinking that I must be an idiot! Well I agree! But I reasoned that dr.milstein must take pride in his work since without hesitation he offered to redo my lower back , so I convinced myself that he would take special care the second time around and revised my previous review to reflect my regained confidence. What a mistake! This time my stomach results were marginal but my lower back is worse the before. Apparently too young much fat got removed and I am now left with loose hanging skin folds . I was way better off before going to him when my lower back was fatty but my skin was firm and taut. So one week post procedure visit , dr Milstein looked at me and said and I quote " it's going to take a long very long time for your stomach to look right. He then lifted up all the loose skin on my lower back and said "you are going to need a lower back lift"! What??? I had already invested over $5000 with this Doctor only to be told that I had to go elsewhere for corrective surgery at the tune of many thousands of dollars more let alone the time and misery involved. I certainly don't have the money to do that and here I am 5 months later after my June 2016 second procedure writing to tell you that nothing has changed despite my having liposage treatments on an average of three times a week since the secondary procedure. In addition , it is dr. Milstein's usual protocol to contact his patients on a regular basis to review and assess photos taken progressively during the initial six month period post procedure. I'm extremely disappointed that THIS TIME After my first post op visit with him, I have never heard from him or any member of his staff AGAIN to follow up on my results. I feel like the baby that was thrown out with the bath water. In my attempt to make myself look better, I now look a hundred folds (no pun intended) WORSE. It would be stand up if Dr. Milstein did something to rectify my dilemma, but the fact that he totally forgot I existed speaks for itself. Please do not be fooled by his charismatic demeanor. Before you go ahead and have him work on you , get a second opinion to find out if you are indeed a good candidate. I wish I had. read more

I am writing this to offer helpful advice if you decide to go with Dr. Milstein. I am only 2 days post op so I can't attest to the results yet. Where this company falls down is the pre-op help and recommending the way overpriced pharmacy downstairs. DO NOT USE THEM. I will go into that below. Okay, you are here now: I paid $180 for my garment that was too small (even the dr. commented on it). I found the same garment on Amazon for $80 so a total rip off) I think it is vital to meet the Dr. before surgery yet I didn't meet him until the day of the surgery . He was nice and professional and I felt confident in his abilities. He told me my skin doesn't have much elasticity which would have been good to know before I signed up - (I am a youthful 60 but I am 60 so that affects many things) and went over it all while I am there pretty much naked and vulnerable and it is too late to turn back. The staff was very nice I just didn't feel they were great about letting me know on a personal level what to expect and what was needed. Yes you get handouts. But in the first visit I should been shown the garment I needed, explained the procedure better, and maybe arranged to meet the doctor prior to surgery (the first visit is more of a sales pitch so I am fine with them qualifying me and then sending me to the doctor, which is being generous). Also I told the pharmacy I didn't want the heavy drug for after (Narco) and the assistants at LA Body Sculpt said I would be fine with Motrin yet the blonde woman at the pharmacy (russian accent?) used a scare tactic that the women who get thigh surgery are in so much pain after they call the pharmacy in the middle of the night.....Calling bullcrap on that one. I got some (you are nervous and scared) and paid a pretty penny and did not need it at all. Once again, a good talk with the nurses (well they are't nurses, just medical assistants) would have been really helpful. This place is not that cheap - even with the Groupon and all, so I think the service should be better. It was sort of a do it yourself kind of place. But I think you can get better service at the same price elsewhere. All in including the $450 groupon I paid $300 in medication and garment plus another $1350 (i got 2 areas inner and outer thighs) plus another $85 for a garment that fit and another one at $50 to wear after a few weeks - so that is over $2000 for 2 areas. If you are considering this place see the doctor first and ask lots of questions. And get your body suit elsewhere. And size up on it, the measurements seem to be right but it is way too small so go larger as you won't be much smaller right after surgery. The swelling has to go down. Believe me. Dr. Milstein is truly Amazing ! His staff is great too, Helen is so sweet and Ada the receptionist is always calling and texting me to make sure I am scheduled for my appointments or reminders. Dr. Milstein is beyond the best doctor I've ever had, he gives you his personal cell phone number to text or call at any time if you have any concerns or questions and he gests back to you immediately. I had 4 areas done , upper abs , lower abs , upper back fat (flanks lower /love handles ). I have a curve in my lower back now which looks amazing cause gives my butt great definition. My waist line is amazing I haven't seen my waist line so small in forever !!!! I still have a lower belly but its smaller now and with exercise and healthy eating it's going away fast . I can wear clothes that actually look flattering on me !!! He did an amazing job . First week was not so bad , mostly tired and slept cause pain meds , second week you feel the pain more but it wasn't horrible just discomfort and after the 2 weeks you can move around , and do normal activities again. The second week I had some itching and swallowing on a small area on my back mainly dry skin I went crazy I couldn't stop itching or sleep because of it, I texted Dr. Milstein at 2:30am asking to please tell me what I can do to make the itching stop, he texted me 10 min later saying to take benadryl or apply benadryl cream gel on the area .I was so happy he responded so fast and ever since then I was okay ! I just used the gel and sure enough the itching went away completely in a couple days . Dr. Milstein truly listens to you and what you want . I recommend him to all my friends. I found him on Groupon and did a lot of research ! And I'm so happy I chose him! read more

During my consultation with Helen we went over everything and the dr came in to give his option on if i was a candidate and he decided i was in certain areas, then i finished my consultation with Helen who seemed that she cared at the time, but after my consultation i never received any communication from her even though i left her several messages. They also didn't want to honor the group on since i had had previous work done, but not at this establishment at a different dr., so i don't understand what that had to do with their Groupon offer, there was no fine print that said will not honor if you ever had other work done elsewhere so I think the groupon was just a way to get you there. I can't review the procedure itself because no one ever got back to me after my consultation, despite leaving Helen several messages. I don't think this is a professional way to deal with anyone let alone someone who actually wanted to have this procedure done with you and trust their body in your hands. read more

I was very skeptical before going in, but I am so glad I did. I found Dr, Milstein extremely caring and skillful. He is knowledgable about all aspects of the medical felid and eager to be of help. He checked up on me and like all the other reviews say...he really seems to care. I also liked his office staff. I saw the reviews that accused his staff of writing these posts so I messaged a few of the patients before I went to see him. They assured me they were real patients, said he was wonderful...they were right. Having surgery is no picnic, but if you must do it, this is a great place to go. I live out of town & I had heard about this office from a friend. Dr. Milstein and his staff were absolutely delightful. Their #1 priority is making the patient comfortable!! I received laser hair removal on my underarms and I have now gotten 2 treatments and I can see a huge difference!! I would never go anywhere else for laser hair removal, as Dr. Milstein was very caring and also able to accomodate my 'out of towner' schedule. NOT A PLASTIC SURGEON!!! DR MILSTEIN is a EYE DOCTOR! I saw a Groupon special online for Liposuction. I read the reviews and was super excited!! It took forever to schedule a consultation and when i finally got in their office i felt like i was in a DUNGEON! It's a little waiting room and you have to ring a doorbell for someone to come out. I went in for my consultation with Helen and she was nice but i kept thinking when is the Dr gonna come in guess what he DOESN'T!! How can you sign up for surgery with out meeting the Dr until surgery day, that's ridiculous. They are booking more than a month for surgery. How can you go into a Dr's office for a consultation for SURGERY and not meet the DR!!!!!! After my consult i went home to do my research and i found out that Dr Milstein is a OPHTHALMOLOGIST!! EYE DR DOING LIPOSUCTION!! RED FLAG!!! Do your research before doing surgery, make sure to meet the DR before your day of surgery, make sure that he is a specialist in that field, that have a real office with a real phone number not taking calls on a CELL PHONE! How does the medical board let this office practice like this. I have no idea how operates in tiny office like that. they use the exam room as a storage. Its really hard for me to believe all these five star reviews. Now i have gone on several other consultations and will be making a decision soon. I love what Dr Milstein did for my body. I had my flanks done and the skin retraction was more than I expected. My skin is not the best after taking medications that are detrimental to skin elasticity. DR Milstein did a thorough exam and explained why and how I would get a result I would be happy with. He spoke to me throughout the procedure and made sure I was comfortable. He did excellent work and I am really happy. I no longer look like Spongebob Square pants! I would not hesitate to recommend this DR. He called me the day after surgery as well as several more calls from staff to check on me during the weeks following the lipo. He is very genuine, professional and patient. I wish I didnt need his services. I would love to be able to just work out and not have lipo, however medications I have taken in the past displaced fat so working out and losing weight just made me look sickly and old. After the lipo my skin still has the stretchmarks I had prior to lipo of course, but it fits my body and the cellulite is gone in that area as well. This procedure gave me back my hope. I will definitely be back to see DR Milstein again. read more

From the first consulatation I knew that I had chosen the right Doctor. David, or Dr. Milstein is a great listener! I was very skeptical about the procedure and thought that even the consultation would be akward and I wouldnt understand, but the warm and welcoming environment made me realize they are here to make me look good, I was laughing and carrying on and wasn't nervous at all! On the day of my surgery I got a little nervous but once I opened the door to their office, I knew I was in good hands. My sister came from Las Vegas to help me for the surgery and a few days after..there were some things I couldnt have done alone but all in all it was an excellent procedure. I started trying on dresses 2 days after, and immediately saw results. I attended a few Christmas parties and was overwhelmed by compliments from family and friends! I love what was done and would recommend it to anyone who asks. The pain was minimal, but it was expected even after a week I can see a smaller me!!! The doctors had fun while doing my surgery and made me more at ease with everything and I love the team here! There are still some things I have to do post surgery to retain the results but I look forward to the new year in my new body!!! read more
