He liked that this company had over a hundred plus reviews and most all were five star. That's quite unusual. He called and was able to get a mutually convenient time for a tech to come check out our AC. This morning, we had the pleasure of service by Frankie. Their technician came to my house, looked at my AC unit, and told me it was "broken" and needed to be replaced. When I asked for an estimate on a new system, they said they couldn't provide one because they didn't know how to rebuild the support structure for the unit. That was unbelievable--they're supposed to be professionals. I decided to call another technician, who came promptly, correctly diagnosed the real issue, and fixed the problem the same day. Here's what the second technician explained: The main inoperation diagnosis was; Condensate Drainline failure. Adjustment in the drainline as well as cleaning and flushing was done in order for the unit to start working properly. Also, the thermostat presented signs of malfunction and was replaced in order to prevent future breakdowns. Full preventive maintenance and inspection was also performed and no other faults were reported. Thanks to the second company, my AC is working perfectly. This first company either didn't know what they were doing or tried to upsell a full replacement unnecessarily. Bottom line:Avoid this company. They lack the basic competence to diagnose or quote repairs -- and almost cost me thousands of dollars for no reason.
