I asked him how could you tell me how much it's going to cost when you don't even know what is wrong. Just looking for quick cash? What was really upsetting is that he wouldn't stand by his work after 11,000 miles.

Every time I walk into this shop (which is fairly often) I'm always blown away by the custom work they have going on and how excited the guys are about what they're working on. What makes me different from most folks that go to this shop is I'm a Harley guy. I can say without question that Chris and Josh are comfortable and confident working on any make of motorcycle. I trusted them to work on my Sportster and I trust them now to work on my Road King. When you drop your bike off for work you'll always have a good idea on what it's going to cost. These guys are great at quoting an estimate and follow through with great communication should they discover something else that might need attention. They'll never do any work without finding out if you actually want it done. These are stand up honest guys doing something that they love to do. Just stop by the shop sometime and have a conversation with these guys. If their genuine enthusiasm, passion and positive attitudes don't win you over....you should probably find another shop.

I love my mechanic friends who are trying to make ends meet, but are without some of the aforementioned. All past services are greatly appreciated. To start, I did a Google Search for auto service establishments in my area. Baldwin happened to be closest (1/2 mile away) which is a great feature as going back and forth to drop off and pick up was always a past issue. The majority of the Google reviews were favorable, as so were the Yelp reviews. I sent a message to Baldwin via both of theses sights, and within minutes Anthony Baldwin responded. Next step was to visit without being in need. Just wanted to see the place and meet this mechanic. In doing so, I met the staff and also within minutes a regular customer arrived for an oil change. At this point I will express my satisfaction that transportation is available to your home or job. Since my "exploratory visit" ( less than 1 month) my 99 GMC Sonoma PU has been to Baldwin Auto for three jobs. All were completed in a very reasonable time frame, and at reasonable cost, each visit required transportation between my home and the shop. FYI, my truck is considered in good overall condition, but based on its age and the current weather conditions ran into need of TLC. I brought my 2015 Street Bob to Nova Motorcycles to replace a busted wheel bearing. When they…read morere-installed the rear wheel they failed to replace the bolts, loctite them, or bother to torque them down correctly. As a result, they worked themselves loose and eventually caught on my swingarm which caused my rear wheel to unexpectedly lock up at 35/40mph. I luckily did not dump my bike as I fishtailed to a stop but am even more fortunate that this did not happen while I was on the highway, in traffic, or in the middle of a corner. This reckless neglect easily could have cost me my life. It also ruined the new wheel they had just installed, destroyed the sprocket and belt, dented the belt guard, and damaged the swingarm. Lastly, it cost me over half of the month of September on my bike while they did the repairs. After owning up to their neglect they agreed to fix the bike but would not pay to have another mechanic look at it to get a second opinion or do the repair for me. So I was stuck having the same people who could have killed me doing the repair on their own incompetent work. As you can imagine, this makes it very difficult to have much confidence in the safety of my own bike and has put a real damper on riding. Throughout the entire ordeal they acted with indifference and treated me like I was being a nuisance. They tried to reuse the same damaged swingarm even though I made it perfectly clear that everything damaged due to their neglect needed to be replaced. I didn't realize until I got the bike home that they didn't even replace the dented belt guard. When I requested the name of the mechanic for my report to the AGO they outright refused to give it to me. The mystery mechanic, their "Harley guy" still had his job when I went to pick up my bike. As I left they actually had the nerve to tell me not to come back. Disgraceful. For your own safety, do not give Nova Motorcycles your business.

They told me in the gentlest way possible it was time to get a new car. I asked what I owed them and they refused to charge me. We talked more about cars and about some new cars to avoid that they are seeing a lot of problems with. Since this visit, I bought new car. In general, I don't use mechanics. But my wife's brakes started squealing, and she wanted us to find a good mechanic we could trust for the big jobs (Translation: she doesn't want to die if I mess up her brakes.) I called a couple of friends, and they both recommended Jeff at Greg's. I can't say enough good things about Jeff and his crew. I called and asked about replacing all 4 rotors and pads. Got quoted a very good price, and scheduled in for a Tuesday. Jeff called a few hours into Tuesday, and let me know that the front brakes were fine and didn't need replacing. I'd forgotten that we just replaced them not that long ago, and they didn't have many miles on them, just rust. The rears needed replacing, but the front just needed the rust ground off to stop the squealing. Now, a lesser mechanic would have seen the brakes were fine, and replaced them anyway; we'd have gotten what we asked for. Jeff doesn't roll that way. He fixed the actual problem, and it cost half of what we were quoted. Another note, the rotors he sold us are quality rotors. Ceramic coated so they won't rust after 5 minutes in the rain (unlike the old rotors our last mechanic installed!) All in all, Jeff and his crew are top notch. Honest, reliable, with a great reputation. 5 Solid Stars!!!
