Love hate relationship with this place. Price- $13 CASH ONLY , BE PREPARED Parking- Awful. They have no designated parking lot. But it usually takes no more than 5 minutes to circle around and find a meter. If it's after 6 pm don't try to park south of Beverly (ticket) Hours- Great. They are open daily until 9pm and you can walk in a 8:59 and they'll take you. I've driven past close to 10pm some nights and seen them inside still working. Wait time- Frustrating. Weekends are always going to be rough, 35-55 minutes. There is no organized system for who's next so you really have to take a look around and remember who was there before you. When they say next, they'll basically take whoever stands up first. Also there is a second room that usually has a shorter wait time. I've walked out a couple times in anger because I was being ignored and cut in line by people that came after me. But I keep coming back because of ..... Quality of cut- Amazing. You can't beat it for $13, these guys know exactly what they're doing, not to mention they finished it off with a straight blade. I'm cheap and will never spend more than $20 on a cut. I've dabbled at cheaper Korean places for $8-$11 and regret it everytime. Worst haircut of my life. When I got home and really got a good look at it after showering and letting it dry, I realized it was all patchy and the lengths were different all over. When I moved to Koreatown I started coming here regularly. They did a decent job cutting my hair. It wasn't great, but it worked for me. Especially since it was a 4 minute walk from my place. I also liked that they used a straight razor. I gave them three stars because they raised their prices, the long wait times became annoying, and the communication barrier. Many times the barbers would stop in the middle of a haircut to use their phone or to watch television. That made for a longer haircut and a longer wait time for a haircut. That became annoying more and more it happened. There was also a communication barrier sometimes because some barbers speak a little English and some only speak Spanish. This would explain why the TV was always on a Spanish channel. This place obviously only cares about catering to a certain set of people. Once they raised the prices of their haircuts, I decided to go somewhere else. There are actually several barber shops and salons in that area. All very close to each other. Another thing about this place is that it's dirty and pretty ghetto looking on the inside. It is in serious need of an update to the interior. Though, that didn't bother me. I'm just putting that here as additional information. Oh, and it's cash only. This place basically just gives haircuts to males with very short hair. It's a hole in the wall type of spot which is fine because my mom always took me to get cut in TJ back in the day. Asked for what I wanted and I am very pleased. The BEST haircuts in town at reasonable price ($11.) If you want a tight, clean cut this is the shop for you. Yes, no parking lot, a bit of a wait (sign of a GREAT shop) and the TV/Music is in Spanish. It's a Latino shop in a Latino neighborhood. Just visited the place on Monday May 20 2013. I had David the first chair as you entered the shoppe give me my high n tight. I asked for a high n tight an i sure got that, he went to work right of way. He is an aggressive and take charge barber and i liked that. If you want a softly barber go to a salon this is a mans shop. He white walled the sides and back 2 times with lather and a straight razor, then he lathered me up one last time and used a regular razor and went around my sides a and back rubbing my head to make sure no stumble was left behind.
