Our visit to David's was in search of bridesmaids dresses. They have a pretty big selection to choose from. We tried on a few dresses, but just couldn't decide on one. They have a dressing room area with several rooms, sitting areas, and big mirrors. While we were trying on dresses, a bride-to-be was trying on dresses in the dressing room area--with her male friend (not sure if it was the groom to be). That was not cool to have him hanging out in the dressing room area! Making an appointment is a must. This gets you a salesperson who assists you with selections and questions. And walked around a bit on my own. When it was my time, the sales lady came over. She was very nice and friendly. She asked what I was looking for, and I told her. I feel bad for the lady lol I'm a non-traditional bride and I could see the panic in her eyes when I told her I wanted a black dress. She said they had two options for me. But they only had them in white in-store. So, I could try them on in white and order it in black if I wanted one of those dresses. Neither were the style I wanted. I visited the DB in Brea with a friend to find my wedding dress. I had an appointment, and my stylist, Gisela, assisted me. I showed her a few dresses I found online, and I ended up finding the perfect dress and a veil to go with it. Gisela asked if I planned on getting the dress altered there, and when I asked about the cost, she had one of the alteration ladies come over. I was told that hemming the dress would be about $75, which I agreed to. (For the record, Gisela was very sweet, patient, and helpful!) Before leaving that night, I made an appointment to return for alterations once my dress arrived. The dress came in earlier than expected, so I scheduled my appointment and went in. During the fitting, the alteration lady pinned my dress and mentioned that the sleeves should be taken in as well, which I agreed to. However, when she quoted me the total for the hemming, it was more than double what I had originally been told. I kindly asked to speak with a manager. When she came over, I explained the situation. She said the original amount I was quoted was for bridesmaid dresses--though it was very clear that I was not wearing a bridesmaid dress. She gave me a lower price due to the mix-up, which I appreciated, but I still feel it should have been honored at the original quoted amount. They did listen and attempted to make it right, but if the staff is unsure of pricing, they should not be giving out inaccurate quotes. It creates confusion and unnecessary frustration during what should be an enjoyable experience. The people are friendly but this situation caused unnecessary frustration and if you shop here just make sure the prices you are quoted are correct. read more

Wow!!!! It was been at least 3 years since I've been in a David's and I must say... WHAT A DIFFERENCE! I'm unsure if the new location has anything to do with it but the vibe alone was great!!! Now, I tend to be a little more self serving then most, so I went to the counter and let them know we were there to get a dress for my sisters baby shower. With it only being a month away, my prego sis didn't have many options so I told her to start looking. The hostess took way longer then I cared for to find us a "stylist" so I went up to another associate and let them know I needed a changing room for my sister. She instantly said sure! No problem and got us a room. We had lots of options which I thought was cool (plus size soon to be momma's tend to have a hard time finding cute dresses for a good price). My sister tried on a total for 4 dresses, all which were beautiful however Joyce was finally assigned to us and it was like the clouds parted! She such a lovely person with great style and choice of dresses for all body shapes. She found two dresses that were PERFECT for my sister to show off her baby bump and was flattering to her shape as well. We instantly loved them both and couldn't decide which one would be best. Joyce mentioned they were on sale so we thought "Wow! Even better!" When we gathered up to pay for the dress Joyce told us the total which was $62!!! We asked her which dress was $62 and she said, BOTH as in the total for both dresses was only $62!!!! For two full length gowns this was a total steal so of course we bought them both! We were in and out of the store in less than 45 min and it was such a great experience! If you plan on coming here, ask about the sales and clearance items! This is a brand new location! Now you don't find many guys going to a David's Bridal. However the staff here were phenomenal and made me feel super welcomed! While it's limited, they do offer a small selection of men's suits. Overall this is a fantastic choice for alterations, buying a new dress, or browse some new options. While they do not have many options for men, they do offer comfortable places to sit and wait. They also offer amazing service to the ladies wanting to buy a new dress. I had an amazing experience here! I made an appointment days before and compiled a collage of inspo dresses for a smooth visit. Gisela was genuinely SO sweet and truly listened to what I wanted. She took my inspo pics and brought them to life! I told her I already purchased my veil but it hadn't arrived yet so her and another stylist found one so similar that I was able to get the complete look -- and I felt beautiful! The employee JUANA urged me to buy the dress stating that I would be able to return it within 7 days. I ended up going with a different dress and did not even OPEN the dress. When I came back CYLYSCE DIAZ (manager) refused to refund me and said it was used. Keep in mind this woman was not even present during the purchase and refused to bring out the employee/manager that helped us day of. Don't know what's so hard about doing your job. Ordered something and went to the store to pick up, i ask the girl for a receipt or if she could email me a copy in case it doesn't fit. She said i should have gotten a receipt. I wouldn't be asking if i had a receipt and she wouldn't do it, nor would the girl on a knee scooter they didn't have any customers in the store but just wouldn't do it. I made an appointment here for my bridesmaids online which was very easy and convenient to set up. I confirmed my appointment through phone the day before. Unfortunately when we arrived, the online booking had given us a previous address and the bridal shop was relocated. No biggie though, the new location was only a few minutes away. When we arrived we were set up in a large dressing room to accommodate my party. We were not checked up on throughout our appointment, but I was helped when I requested. It was not our stylist's fault, she was helping all the parties there and she was incredibly busy. Our stylist was very kind, I just wish more staff was there to help us throughout our experience. We got the dresses which were great! I would just recommend they have more stylists there to assist, especially if they know there will be large parties read more

She told me exactly what to expect and brought over different styles of veils for each dress so I could really get the full look. I ended up purchasing my wedding dress for an amazing price! I took a look around because I went with a friend processing a return. Things were definitely pricier than I recall. They did have red tag items that were reasonable. No one greeted me or spoke to me the whole time I was there, maybe 30 minutes. I did walk by at minimum 5 employees. Apparently my friend is a bridesmaid in a wedding and ordered a dress here the associate said she would order it the next day for her. The next day called her and said she couldn't because it wouldn't arrive on time and she ordered a different dress for her and charged it to her?!!! Who does that? That's wild. And get this. They wouldn't reverse or cancel.or return without her driving down to the store. Which is why we went. Thats so presumptuous. read more

I made the mistake of eating a little too much over the holiday break LOL so now I don't fit into a formal dress that I bought for an upcoming event in the new year! I was so concerned when I found that the two DB stores didn't have it in store in a size up, so I went ahead and decided to risk an alteration, if that's what was needed. And boy oh boy were my worries put to rest. Yes, it's always easier to take IN a dress for a size down than to let OUT, but thankfully, the girlies at the alteration counter 1) didn't have to let too much out, about an inch or so on each side, and 2) are freaking pros at their job! I was so worried that the dress was not mendable and they figured it out. Azita was SO lovely and so patient with me as I tried on the dress and let her try and zip me in it. Love her! And can't wait to pick up my dress just in time for my event ... Also I will be hitting the treadmill with more seriousness every day until I pick it up. Lol! Thanks DB! read more

THEY SOLD ME A DIRTY DRESS AND REFUSED TO REFUND ME. I had bought a wedding dress in-store. I had ANOTHER dress that was getting shipped to my house but hadn't yet tried on yet. I suggested that I just come tomorrow to pick up this dress if it didn't come in time. They urged that I just buy it today bc of their lenient return policy and that I could just return the dress if I didn't need it. When they sell you the dress, they don't even bat an eye and bag it up. But upon return, they inspect for the smallest imperfection and will prevent you from doing a return. Next day comes, I hadn't even taken it out of the bag. They refuse to let me return it because it looks "used". Same with the mesh undergarment. Are they fucking for real? People come into the stores and try things on all the time. I bought the dress as is without alterations straight from the rack. A bunch of the dresses I tried on in that store had broken zippers and dirty dresses. THEY sold me a dirty dress and I didn't take it out of the bag. I returned the original dress a day later with all the tags in place and they refused to refund me for a dress that CAME dirty. They are absolute thieves. If you expect to get a refund for something you NEVER used, say good bye to your money. read more

I had an appointment at David's bridal and my whole appointment was rushed and I was left wandering and confused as to what to do and where to go. To be clear, my appointment was later in the day and I had availability earlier so I called and asked if they had an earlier time slot and they said yes, to come in, so I did. If they wouldn't have had time or couldn't fit in a bridal trial I would have understood and waited for my original appointment. I explained to my stylist that this was my first time dress shopping for my wedding dress and she asked me what I was looking for in a dress and I was explaining that I was hoping for a certain style but I was open to trying on a bunch of stuff because I didn't know what I would like. She told me they only had a couple things in that style and was hurriedly checking the dresses around her and then disappeared. I didn't know what to do so I just kept looking at their selection and then when I wandered back to the fitting rooms I didn't know who to talk to or where to go so my sister and I walked back out onto the floor to ask what to do and where our stylist is. The stylist appeared behind us to let us know she was pulling stuff from the back and then said she would be right back. When it came to trying on the dresses I hardly got any help from the stylist when I was putting the dresses on and she couldn't find anything close to my size (16/18 ) and so a lot of the dresses just looked very poorly or I couldn't get them on. I even called ahead asking if they would have plus sizes so I don't end up there and not finding anything flattering. When I didn't like the style she was bringing I asked to try a different style of dress and so she brought out 1 dress and that was it. I didn't like the dress and just wanted to be out of there because more than anything it felt like I was a bother and my spirits were getting pretty low. Towards the tail end of the appointment she was helping other customers and I don't know how spread thin the stylist are at David's but it just didn't feel very personal, it didn't feel very special, and I just wouldn't recommend this experience to anyone else starting their journey looking for a wedding dress. read more

I've never left a review before but I just can't get over how bad the whole experience has made me and the whole family feel. My daughter and I made an appt for my future daughter in law to try on wedding dresses 12/26/25. My son is in the military so we thought it would be nice to take his bride dress shopping while they were in town for the holidays They both were so happy. We told her stylist the budget and she told us which racks to look on. She said take pictures of the tags and she would get the dresses. We told her three didn't have tags but we only want to try on dresses in her budget. My future daughter in law loved one of the dresses she tried on The stylist let her try it on twice letting her think it was in budget we were going to get it we were all super happy. We knew the budget was clear so at the end when the stylist showed my Future DIL the tablet I thought it was strange she didn't order the dress It wasn't until we got outside and she started crying and said the dress was more than three times our budget. But the stylist didn't say a word the entire time letting her get excited about the dress. We all felt rotten about the experience every one we've told can't believe how what was supposed to be super fun and exciting ended up being really sad for all of us read more

I truly feel like I hit the jackpot being paired with Gisella at David's Bridal in Brea. I had already visited multiple bridal stores, and I decided to try David's Bridal because I heard they had beautiful, affordable options. From the moment I met Gisella, I knew I was in the right hands. I explained the vision I had for my wedding dress--what I was picturing myself in, the vibe, the details I loved--and she immediately understood. She pulled about four dresses for me, and the order she chose for me to try them on was exactly right. You can tell she's a true expert. The way she explained each dress--the fabric, the structure, the color, the details, and even what might or might not suit my body--was so thoughtful and so knowledgeable. I felt completely guided and supported, never pressured. And then, at the very end, she brought out the dress. The one that was everything I was looking for and so much more. It fit my budget perfectly, it fit my vision perfectly, and looking back now, I honestly cannot imagine wearing anything else. I received so many compliments on the dress and all its little details--and I owe so much of that to her eye and her expertise. Beyond her talent, Gisella is just one of the sweetest, calmest, warmest people you'll ever meet. She has this bright, infectious smile, and every time I came back into the store--whether for fittings or questions--she remembered me and my mom and always asked how we were doing. It truly felt like a match made in heaven to have her as my stylist. Anyone would be incredibly lucky to work with her. I also used David's Bridal for alterations, and I had a great experience. I had some issues with my bustle, and the manager took the time to listen to my concerns and made sure the alterations team addressed them correctly. I brought my dress in just five days before the wedding, and they fixed everything within about two days. I was so relieved and so grateful for their help. If you're looking for friendly service for starters, this is NOT the place to go. One of the associates was actually helpful, but everyone else, INCLUDING the manager was rude. They originally gave me one date for the projected receipt date, but the date was later AFTER we paid for the dresses. They knew we needed the dress for a June wedding, and all they told us was that they couldn't do the alterations because it would arrive too late. There was no apology, no offer for a work-around...only "if you return the items, it'll be a $10 restocking fee per item." So, David's Bridal, you're going to order dresses, give us a later date, you won't alter it due to that later date, and if we return it, it's $10/item to restock it? So you made $30 for absolutely nothing. Nice. With that later date in mind, I bought other dresses from Nordstrom. The Nordstrom dresses were received and altered BEFORE the David's Bridals dresses arrived at the store. Yes, David's Bridal wouldn't send their dresses to our house. I called to ask David's Bridal to simply cancel the order or return the dresses because the dresses were at their store, which is 30 minutes away. They said we had to come in to have the dresses returned AND we had to bring in the credit card that we used. That meant I had to pick up my elderly mother who lives 30 minutes in a different direction because it's her card, then drive 45 minutes to Brea, then drive her back home and come home. That's a minimum of 2.5 hours of driving because they couldn't simply cancel or return this order. So my sister decided to take my mom and her card to the store, and they wouldn't process the return. They told her that they would process the return the next day or the day after that (what store does that?), BUT they took down the credit card number. If they could take the credit card number to process the return 2 days later, why couldn't they take the credit card number over the phone? It just sounds like a lot of lame and quite frankly, dated excuses. Most companies have the credit card on file and when you return items, it automatically goes directly to the card that was used to purchase the items. These employees act like this is a high-end store, and it's part of their job to be smug and rude. The quality is poor, the prices are high for what it is, they charge restocking fees and the service is the absolute worst. They do nothing to help and everything to hinder. It's so ridiculous they don't know how sub-par their merchandise and service is. You work at a retail store, but even if you were POTUS, you should always lead with kindness and be helpful. If you act like you don't want my business, I have no problem not giving you my business. My daughters are in their late 20's. They and all of their friends are getting engaged and married. They were in sororities and played sports. I'll make sure to relay my experience to them. You should really be careful how you treat your customers. This was my first time at a David's Bridal, and I guarantee it's also my last time. We bought our dresses at Nordstrom, which were not that much more than these David's Bridal dresses, and the alterations were free. All of it was done with a smile, and the altered dresses came 2 weeks before the projected finish date. Save yourselves the trouble and shop somewhere else. read more
