When we were planning my wedding last year, my bridesmaids ended up buying their dresses from DB because it was easy for them to find matching colors and styles while living in different cities. I'm not a huge fan of most wedding corporate chain stores, but I was glad that they found dresses they all liked. A few of us were helping my bridesman shop for his suit, and we read online that DB offered suits in matching colors through a partnership with Men's Wearhouse. We were in the area and stopped by this store. When our group walked into the nearly-empty store, a few associates were hanging out behind the cash register, but no one approached the host stand or acknowledged us. Finally, when a woman came over and said "do you have an appointment?" we asked about whether they could help us with menswear. "We don't partner with Mens Wearhouse anymore," she said, and then walked away! Didn't offer suggestions, didn't mention whether they do any matching menswear with outside vendors, didn't ask if we needed anything else for our wedding party. I was really turned off by how dismissed we were, and my 4-year-old niece/ flower girl saw a pair of shoes we wanted. A group of associates were standing around and talking (what looked to be a casual, non-work conversation) when we came back to the register, and no one offered to check us out or even acknowledged us. Finally, someone else walked over, but during our whole time in the store, we were treated like an annoyance just for being there and interrupting conversations. Maybe they treat customers with appointments a little better? I regretted coming here at all and after my girls had a difficult time with their alterations, they did too. read more

Worst Customer Experience. The shopping assistant didn't listen to what the bride was actually looking for, and her recommendations were completely misleading and a waste of time. At checkout, all the salespeople got involved, making the process unnecessarily long and stressful. I would not recommend this place, brides are already nervous and need someone who listens, guides them with the right recommendations, and makes the checkout smooth and easy. read more

It took me a while to leave this review, and I was not going to because I assumed when I visited their store it was a one off event, but apparently not. I got married last year, I went in one day to just causally look around it was almost a year before my actual wedding date, I just wanted to look to gather an idea and the entire staff was rude and unwelcoming. It was a year ago I don't remember the exact details but I remember them all being extremely unpleasant. And fast-forward another year later, I'm in a wedding I called to gather some Information before going into the store. She was SO RUDE, it was almost like why are u calling to bother me with this?! I got my wedding dress from a different David's Bridal shop and had it altered here in July, but I decided to wait until after the wedding in mid-October to leave a review (so I could also mention how well the dress held up throughout the day). Vahideh in the alterations department was so sweet! I could tell from the first fitting that she was very skilled and knowledgable, and she and her team did an amazing job on my dress! I didn't need many adjustments, as I was mostly happy with the dress as it was, so I only had the gown hemmed and bustled and the detachable sleeves sewn into place. The dress turned out perfect, and it was so comfortable and easy to walk and dance in all through our wedding day! I truly felt like a princess! Thank you so much for your wonderful work, Vahideh! We had a lovely time at my sister's bridal appointment with Cassidy. Despite having two clients booked, Cassidy was attentive and helpful and asked really good questions to help narrow the choices. The rooms were clean and nice with plenty of seating. The only drawback is the individual rooms are a bit small and my sister had to get most of the dresses on herself. And there is a pretty strict adherence to the time allotted for each bride, which is understandable, but can be a little stressful if you would like to try on other items. However, it was still such an amazing experience with sweet and kind people there. read more

This particular David's bridal is located in brea. Ample of parking. Recommend making an appointment. Due to covid only 4 guests max per bride. Appointments are currently limited to an hour but stylist may accommodate longer if available. My personal consultant was Zandria and she was awesome! She was attentive, lively, asked for preferences and pulled a couple of styles for me. Honestly, this was my first time trying on any type of wedding dress and didn't even put together a Pinterest board. I was going in with a completely open mind but mentioned I liked lace and long sleeves. I loved how she pulled styles to my preference but also encouraged me to step out of my comfort zone. I found the pricing to be reasonable around $1400 for styles I was favoring. I absolutely fell in love with several dresses from the galina signature collection. Although, I did not end up saying "yes, to the dress" here this was an amazing first time experience and the customer service was on point. Definitely coming back for my brides maids! I'm conflicted. I've been back now twice to shop for my bridesmaids, and both times our consultant left us in the middle of the consultation to help another appointment. It's baffling that the same consultant would be scheduled for two appointments maybe only 15-20 minutes apart. Both visits were on a Wednesday afternoon when you wouldn't think the store was too busy. Both times the girls tried on about 5 dresses before we decided to purchase a dress, so we weren't taking a very long time. Both of our consultants were very sweet and apologetic, but obviously pulled in two different directions. We were happy with the dress selection and many different available colors and fabric material, and the reasonable prices, but it felt a little odd to just get left in the middle of the appointment. We had to go find the manager to pay for our dresses. read more

Quick note: the shop moved, so it's now at 2500 E Imperial. I went here to shop for a mother of the bride dress. I had an appointment to try on dresses. The store opened late (a few minutes, but still...), when I walked in, I was pointed to the MOB section. No one helped me while shopping or trying on dresses. No one checked on me while i was in the dressing room. My husband was the one finding other sizes for me. Also, the employees parked in the spots in front of the store, taking up key spots for customers which wasn't very professional (we knew it was an employee because the driver of the car was let into the store while we waited outside for the store to open). read more

This was the worst experience I have ever had. While I found a great dress and had a good experience with it everything went downhill from there. My dress was ordered in a way smaller size than what I needed and was told this is what I needed. Then the alteration people were absolutely horrible. I wanted to add sleeves onto the dress and I had to beg them to make fixes on them and in the end I had to take them somewhere else to get them fixed. If you come here for a dress make sure you check what size they order and never go to the alteration department. read more

I came here to try on wedding dresses for my upcoming wedding. I was approached by a staff named Jillian, she said I could try on dresses but I would not be assisted with any of the dresses due to not having an appt. I understood and had no issues. I confirmed it was still okay for me to look at dresses and try them on. She confirmed only in fitting rooms 1-3. I said thank you despite how rude and abrasive she was. After pulling 3 dresses to try on she returned to me with a gentleman to tell me I could not try on dresses had to schedule an appt and had to leave. I have never in my life been treated the way I have by this person. I understand policies if they have policies in place. If they would have said that I needed an appt to try on dresses at bat, I would have simply made an appt. Her having to come back with someone else as if myself or anyone I was with did anything wrong to as absolutely uncalled for. Then to tell me I had to leave and could not continue to look at dresses without an appt and was absolutely insane. As I asked to speak to the manager another customer approached me and said this same employee was VERY VERY rude to her as well! I am an awww of how something so special can turn out so bad due to someone's lack of understanding of their employers policy's or simply lack of customer service! I had the best, most fun experience buying my wedding dress at David's Bridal in Brea. I brought my Mom along with me as I didn't want to pressure myself into finding a dress if I didn't find the one. I ended buying my dress, Melissa Sweet dress (Lace Beaded Tulle Spaghetti Strap MS251249) in October 2021 and it was well within my budget. I did my dress research online but ended up picking the one that was displayed on one of the mannequins, who knew! I also purchased the preservation kit from David's Bridal. I'm glad I purchased it as I've already shipped out my dress and the kit was easy to use. David's Bridal was helpful in helping me fill out the paperwork in regards to a few questions. I would recommend using a different shipping tape than the one provided, just to make sure the box is tapped securely. All of the gals at the shop were friendly, welcoming and attentive. My bridal consultant, Faith was so sweet, patient, helpful and knowledgeable in helping me to find the one. She was also respectful of my budget and helped to only pull dresses that were within my budget. This was the first time I tried on wedding dresses and Faith was so great at helping me take figure out and narrow down my top dress. Faith even took a few photos of my Mom and I to celebrate that I found my dress. I'm so glad that Faith was apart of that special moment. She's truly the best and understands her brides needs. My wedding was fairly recent July 22, 2022 and I absolutely loved my dress. I felt happy, stunning and comfortable- our first dance was a salsa routine and I was able to move around comfortably. My wife had an awful experience and was treated very poorly by the manager of alterations. She was extremely rude and cared more about "being right" that figuring out the truth. The dress was ordered 2+ years ago but thanks to Covid, everything was postponed. The dress was picked up early on during covid and it was not altered at all, close to what was needed. It didn't have bustles, only safety pins everywhere. This was after paying $400+ for alterations. Fast forward to 2022. She dropped her dress off to finish the alterations that were never done and they charged her $70 more. Now the next pick up, it gets worse. She goes to pick up and try on the dress, with the wedding finally in less than 2 weeks (postponed 3 times). The dress still had safety pins and when she tried the dress on, it was extremely uneven, based on where the safety pins were to put the bustles. Now the alterations manager gets involved saying she never paid for alterations and giving attitude. Treating my wife, the bride, like absolute dirt. With our wedding finally in two weeks, how do you treat this bride like crap at a place called "David's Bridal". It was bad to the point I almost went down there because she was so upset and hurt. They told her they would fix the dress and she could pick it up that night... and charged her another $80. Unbelievable. She even said, so she doesn't have to rush, I can pick it up Monday. The alterations manager, again, rudely said "absolutely not, we are so busy on weekends she will not have time. You can pick it up tonight". Now the dress is picked up, but there was still safety pins left on it, one part of the dress wasn't steamed, and they told her she can finish the rest. They wanted to charge her $70 more to steam the rest after they were done fixing THEIR mistakes. Poor customer service from top to bottom. I absolutely recommend going elsewhere. If it happened to her, it could happen to any one of you, regardless of the other reviews. Very disappointing to give this treatment to a bride coming up on her wedding. We not only had a fantastic experience, we also were greeted by an amazing employee by the name of Allyssa who helped us pick out the exact dress we were looking for at another bridal shop. Initially I had a positive experience with the lady who went out of her way to help me. But buyer beware!!! You need to examine your dress closely and note everything before purchasing. I did not and I was not told to inspect my purchase. The cashier did not even look twice at the dress aside from bagging it. I was not told of the return policy. I found another dress at another store and went to return the DB dress. It never came out of the bag from the store. I was refused the return or credit because it was damaged. I hope the management of this location trains their staff to use the same close examination during the sale as they do on return. At least remind the customer to check themselves! Came here on 2 separate occasions. The first time was to find a wedding dress for myself and the consultant was nowhere to be found and did not let me try on anything I wanted or helpful in finding styles. I went with my mom and one of my bridesmaids and consultant was often gone and MIA for most of the consultation. I ended up walking out disappointed and upset that I did not even get a rough idea of what I liked or wanted. (I ended up going to another DB location and had an AMAZING experience.) Fast forward to bridesmaids' dresses and we came here because it was the closest to my MoH and what a huge mistake that was. We had an appointment and the consultant that we were supposed to have was on a break so a manager (middle-aged, thin, blonde) was going to help us in the meantime...the actual consultant never came to help us. We got stuck with this manager who was beyond unhelpful with me and the two girls that were with me. She kept disappearing and helping brides and when we had questions or wanted other options she was nowhere to be found. We ended up finding a dress and sizes that we needed for the two girls no thanks to the manager. read more

Unfortunately, I came to this David's Bridal at 4:00 PM on a Saturday and was greeted by an associate, Jessica. Greeted is definitely not the word I am looking for as she just glanced up and saw us walking in and then looked straight back down to the podium. Jessica then saw that we were about to look at the sample dresses on our own and then came rushing over stating that only employees look through there, so that guests do not make a mess. I then chose a few options (7 images), she stated that she only had two in my size, which is understandable, dropped off the dresses and walked away. After trying them on and looking around the store for her, I asked someone where Jessica was and they said that she left for lunch. Looks like there are quite a few 1-2 star reviews for this branch, do yourself a favor and shop elsewhere. read more

THE ABSOLUTE LACK OF ORGANIZATION just amazes me, I bought my wedding dress here and when I arrived for my alterations appt. 1. They couldn't find my appointment, 2. They couldn't find my dress (they had 3 employees looking& it was misplaced) and 3. They lied and stated alterations would be around $200 and tried charging me $450 and added a "rush fee" which when I purchased the dress they didn't mention they tried to hide it or something. I ended up going into for 2nd fitting and they couldn't find the dress AGAIN it got Misplaced AGAIN. Seriously this location just wasn't the best I don't recommend going here. read more

Okay, so here's my reason for the three stars. I'm a very petite girl, so when they told me I should order a size 2 I agreed because I trusted that they knew what they were doing. I should have gone with my gut and gone with a size 0. I think they have you go a size up so you can spend hundreds of dollars in alterations. I could have easily fit into a 0. Had my size 2 altered and it still feels a bit big but I didn't want to alter anymore at that point since my wedding is around the corner. I'm really upset since I spent almost $500 in alterations when I probably didn't need any with a size 0. But I guess that's just how they make money. Without my stylist Jules, finding THE dress for my bridesmaids couldn't have been this smooth!! I was pretty stressed before our appointment. It was our first bridesmaid dresses appointment and I have seen too many videos on YouTube when bridesmaids dresses appointments go out of hand. But my stress kinda went away when Jules showed up. She had the very sincere vibe that just made me want to trust her a lot. Indeed she was super genuine and super helpful! This is how the appointment went. At first, we were led to a board where we discussed everyone's preference and vision before we started browsing (This is helpful because it's better to agree on styles early on than having disagreements later). We effortlessly agreed on four styles. Then we browsed through the dresses on the rack. We communicated with Jules that all of us wanted the dresses to be reserved, and Jules listened carefully and took notes, and helped us understand our options. Then, Jules quickly grabbed a variety of dresses in different color and sizes suitable for my bridesmaids, in those styles that we had pre-agreed on. We were led to the fitting rooms area and my bridesmaids tried on those dresses. The dress fitting process went very smoothly. Jules quickly learnt our preferences, and she kept bringing dresses that "wow"ed us. It was very fun having the girls try on those beautiful dresses. And without any hassle, all of us fell in love with a blue dress and everyone looked gorgeous in it!! I also signed up for the diamond program and got 20 dollars off each dress!! Jules was very transparent about the shopping time. The dresses will take around a month to arrive, which is super fast compared to what I heard that everything being delayed. I never would have thought that it was so easy to get my bridesmaids dresses this early! I'm very grateful for Jules's help and all my bridesmaids' effort to be there and be supportive. Came here the other day with my little sister to try on dresses and the minute we walked in there were this weird strong smell which I can't tell where it was coming from. The whole place seemed to be very dirty, and not well maintained specially the chairs and floors like no one ever cleaned it nor vacuumed. The staffs were okay, not very attentive o had to help my sister pin her dress down and help her look for other dresses. Wow I had a wonderful experience at David's bridals! I requested Andrea as my comeback wedding dress stylist. She made my transition so easy. I was a nervous wreck but Andrea reassured me that I'll be ok and I will be in good hands. Andrea was the best stylist ever! She was so knowledgeable and also was honest with her opinions on the dresses I tried on. I ended up picking a dress I loved most and got to try on about 6-7 dresses and ended up picking my top favorite! Thank you Andrea for helping me with my dress experience!! Very disappointed with David's bridal. I've always admired that they were a chain and I could buy a dress online. With that, expecting I would find my dress at David's and they'd have excellent service, I set up and appointment. I was assisted by a girl who I shall not name but she was not really helpful in pulling out dresses for me, did not know how to clip, saying her clips are lose. She can find other non-lose clips. Also, she told me I would have to buy the dress already to be able to try on the dress in my size. That was a red flag because I'm a size 8-12 bridal and it seems like there were no size 8-12's The worst part was she kept on calling me "bro".
