I was in search of a formal dress and noticed online David's Bridal had a lot of options. I ran in on a week night and they weren't very busy. I was greeted and asked where they dresses were that I was looking for. The employee pointed in a general area and I was off to look. She mentioned there was more then one area to look in. I started my pursuit and came up with not much at all. I really only found maybe a handful of formal dresses in the clearance area but didn't find anything regularly priced. I looked around for awhile in hopes that the employee might come back but I didn't ever see her again. I wondered to the front of the store and didn't find anyone else to help me so I just left without much luck at all. I really thought this was my last dress stop. It wasn't, however it set the bar for my expectations for the next bridal store. The customer service I received from Kahtya was definitely amazing. She was running around grabbing dresses for me, helping me into the dresses and asking the important questions a bride-to-be needs to be asked when trying on a dress. I was able to find my "style" at this store and I really appreciate the help I received. I've had nothing but excellent service at this location. During my dress consultation, the gal helping me was incredibly attentive and funny, and she helped me find my perfect dress. I also got my alterations. Both of the seamstresses I dealt with were also helpful and incredibly friendly. Most of the bridal books I'd read, and people I'd talked to, told me to "steer clear" of David's Bridal altogether. I'm not really sure why. As far as price goes, I feel like I paid what my dress was worth. The alterations were about on par with what I paid for my prom dress 12 years ago so I figured that was a pretty good deal. I'll definitely go back if I ever have a formal event that requires a dress! read more

I came in for a bridal appointment last month and had the worst experience at this location. I live closer to mesquite but came here for a specific Melissa Sweet. Anyway, when I arrived right on time for my appointment, the stylist, i think he name is Erika, was at least 20-30 min late to starting my appointment. I wasn't too worried about that, it gave me a chance to look around. Well it just went down from there. She didnt even offer to get me a corset/bra and petticoat (which was always automatic everywhere else i went), put me in dresses and then when I came out she didn't say much to help me with many questions I had. Then she'd keep walking to another area where another girl was trying on dresses and never said anything to us about it, laughing at something on their phone. She seemed almost bothered/inconvenienced when I asked about other sashes/dresses/etc like it was too much for her. At the mesquite location they ladies got alterations to come and show me what dresses would look like bustled. THEY asked, not me. Well I didn't mention that fact to Erika but she said they don't normally do that, but that if I was getting the dress today then they might would come. That was the start of that. From the moment she knew that I wasn't buying that day (because my grandma wasnt there and she was the one purchasing it) her attitude really kicked in and she was even less interested in helping me from that point. It was extra apparent when we were ending the appointment. She was helping me out of my dress, mentioned something about getting her card for when i decide if i'm ready to buy or something that was sideways smart ass and once she left with the dress she never talked to us again. We wondered off a tiny bit into the bridesmaid/mother of the bride dresses but I kept an eye out and saw her with keys/wallet and walking out the door. The sweet girl at the podium said she thinks she said she was coming right back, but i think she was trying to cover for the rude employee. Anyway, I waited another 20 min or so before the sweet girl got an assistant manager over who gave me the information for a dress I tried on and fell in love with (vera wang $1200) and might have bought with better service, but I never wanna step foot in this place again. I ended up going back to a dress I'd found at the mesquite location($600) and am much happier. read more

I was the only person trying on bridal gowns which meant a lot of attention. I recommend going during the week to avoid a crowd. Everyone that worked there was great, especially Kristen. She was very knowledgeable and so easy to work with. I had no idea what direction to go in which I'm sure wasn't easy for her. She ended up pulling the perfect dress for me on the first go. I love it and it fit perfect. We ended up with enough time in our appointment for my mom to find the perfect dress too! I could not have asked for a better experience. We didn't feel pressured, Kristen just knew exactly what would flatter the dress. All of her recommendations were spot on. I cannot speak for all David's Bridal locations but this one was recommended to me from another bride and I'm so glad I listened to her. Don't hesitate to make an appointment ladies! Today was my first time at any David's Bridal stop and I was shopping around for a bridesmaid dress I saw online and wanted to take a look at it in store. I was a little lost and didn't really know where to start but the girl who helped me Gabby was very helpful and patient I definitely recommended getting help from her! She gave up to date information on the dresses and how long it would take for the dresses to ship. Our shopping experience at David's bridal was superb with the assistance of Veronica and Tia. They were able to get what we needed fast and efficiently. They were very helpful with suggestions on other styles that were similar to what we were looking for. With their assistance we were able to pick out the perfect wedding dress. We ordered it and I came in less than a month when it was quoted to arrive in two months. We could not be more pleased with the friendly customer service from this dream team. Veronica and Tia even stayed long after they closed to give us excellent customer service. There was no point that the shopping experience became unpleasant or stressful. The manager Jo-Nathan was helpful with giving us ordering times and trying to locate a dress we wanted to try on before ordering. WORSE customer service ever! I wish I could rate a zero!!! This was my 2nd time coming in there. I'm the maid of honor for my sisters wedding and I'm shopping for bridesmaids dresses. My sister wanted me to go in and try on and get some ideas and pick out a few I liked. I was working with "Shaunelle T Page".... yes I'm putting her name out there and I have her card! She was extremely rude and no help at all! She told me and laughed that it's impossible becuase it takes time to order the dresses. Yes I understand that. She says there's barely any dresses available. I tried showing her from my phone which dresses I would like to see and if they were available. She finally prints out a lists of which dresses would be available in the 6-10 week period of the color and sizes I needed. At that point was whispering something to her coworker about me. Gives me the list and I go over to the pictures and start picking out the ones I wanted that were available! Which were ALL!!!!!! the ones I wanted to try from the pictures from my phone !!!! I asked if I could please try 2 different sizes of each so I can get an idea becuase every dress fits different. She brought me 1 of each and 2 of the wrong dresses and I never saw her back in the fitting room area again. Which trying to zip up a dress on your own is sooo easy! I admit, I should not have gone to Davids Bridal on a Saturday, but I thought I could just run in, grab the bridesmaids dress I needed in order to check fit so I could order online, and run out. Easy enough, right? Wrong. I walked in where I informed them I didn't have an appointment, which they did not seem too pleased about. (I didn't need a stylist. I need to try on the dress and leave. I'm thinking 5 minutes tops here!) The gal told me she was busy checking in the hours appointments so basically got the "step aside" vibe and if there's anyone available to help me after that, they'll come find me. I walked around for about 20 minutes and went back up to the front where she asked the same questions again and gave me the same answers ... "if there's someone ..." I didn't initially have the style number since the bride stated it was in their system (which it was, but was never offered to me) but obtained that from the bride, found the dress myself, went into their "self serve" room and tried it on. The dress was dirty, like gray and brown with dirt. The zipper was broken. And when I came out, someone had moved a dress rack IN FRONT OF MY DOOR so I had to push it out to open my dressing room door. I have never felt so INVISIBLE as a customer before! If you go to Davids Bridal make sure that 1. You're a bride and apparently worth the customer service, 2. Have an appointment, walk-ins NOT welcome 3. Aren't just by yourself, individuals disappear into the folds, groups serviced only and 4. Make it a weeknight!!! read more

First off I love my dress. It's gorgeous and perfect and I am so in love. But Davids bridal didn't make it so they don't get the credit for that. When I first went to Davids bridal I called to set up an appointment. The woman I spoke with wasn't very friendly, she was annoyed I called or so it seemed. I made it anyway. I got off work around the time my appointment was and let them know I'd be a few minutes late and that my friends would be there to pick out dresses. They chose a handful for me to try on which was awesome however at the end of it all they told me I wasn't shown not one of their gowns. The salesman picked all high end dresses over my budget and had me try only his on. I couldn't afford my dress but I fell in love. It was one of the more expensive dresses and well the salesman did his job he suckered someone into something they can't afford. I text my fiancé that I was going to open a credit card and he called and got my dress for me. He is a true Prince Charming. When I went to pick out a size the salesman told me to order a size DOWN. I said I had never been a size 6 and he said don't worry you were in a size 8 and I had clamps on the back, you'll for sure fit into it. Mind you this si the first time I've ever gotten a wedding gown so I believed him. When the time came to pick it up much not to my surprise it didn't zip all the way. Besides the dress not fitting (I have a month before the wedding I'm sure I can get to where I need to be or take it out a little), my dress came DIRTY!!!! And the new salesman helping me said basically it's my issue to deal with. I can "like out the dirt with a needle" or something. Okay, I spent $2k on a dirty dress, that doesn't zip, awesome. When I was trying it on I couldn't reach the zipper. My salesman was nowhere to be found a luckily a nice bride to be helped me get into this enormous dress. Funny, after you spend the thousands of dollars they vanish and aren't willing to help. Nobody helped me walk this huge gown to my car. You should have seen me carrying it, like a dead body was being lugged outside. Lol. Worse yet nobody even opened a door for me. Thanks. I give two stars because there was a new gal at the front who was sweet and funny and I forgot her name but if she had her own help page I'd give her 5 stars. First and foremost, this place has many affordable selections and I did find a dress(Maid of Honor)... however the customer service is disappointing . I made an appointment and promptly arrived at my scheduled time, I waited about 10 minutes before the stylist came out. She asked some questions on the style I was looking for, pulled a couple dresses then another attendant came over and let her know the previous appointments dress wasn't available or able to ship in time for their event, so she left me and directed me to the fitting rooms on my own (which was initially ok, I understand situations come up from previous appointments) BUT she never came back to check on me and dresses where too big on me so I struggled to get a real feel of dresses. I was holding my dress up and looking in the mirror when another stylist noticed I was left on my own so she thankfully stepped in! She pinned the dress to closely fit me and I could get a sense of the style, she then returned to her client. I found a dress I liked and wasn't sure what to do next so I asked her what I should do, she looked around and pointed me to the front desk (she had a somewhat surprised look that I wasn't being helped). I headed to the front and asked for a manager, I wanted the dress but needed to express the disappointing experience. The manager listened to my feedback and apologized for the stylist. I wanted the dress so they had me go back to the fitting room for sizing... it was a bit awkward as the original stylist (who was supposed to be helping me) returned to actually help me... oh well, I can deal with awkward, I liked the dress and purchased it. I wont return to this location for future dresses due to the lack of customer service and awkwardness after my complaint. I'll let other bridesmaids know as well. This place gets 2 stars because of the wide array of dress options, not much else. read more

I came here with my mom to find my wedding dress. I'll be the first to admit I do not like being the center of attention and I'm really not all the girlie. I was nervous and unsure of what I was looking for. One of their attendants named DeMario took such great care of me! He listened to what I wanted which was something simple and took into consideration what my mom's style was(she is very classy and stylish!), and found me the perfect dress in less than an hour of shopping. I flew into Dallas to go dress shopping with my matron of honor. She lives in Oklahoma and Dallas DB was the closest to her. The original goal was to try on dresses, then return to St. Louis and take care of purchasing it. Teena was our associate that day and from the first encounter she was so welcoming. I am a very self conscious woman, and the idea of a total stranger helping me get dressed was nerve racking. Teena was so pleasant and I felt so comfortable with her. She had my wish list ready to go and I even had "the dress" picked out from when I saw it online. She got my dress and a few others. Even though the others I didn't see as anything I would like, she was encouraging, but not pushy. Well surprise, surprise...she found my perfect dress! The one I had picked out was beautiful, but it was heavy and getting married in Vegas in the summer, I knew I'd be sweating bullets. She brought this beautiful organza draped dress that was strapless (which I was a big NO NO for me) and found a beautiful lace jacket that worked perfectly with it. She didn't have the short sleeve version in store, but just seeing those two put together, I was sold. It was so light, and it flowed when I walked. It was the dress! She had another appt. that was booked shortly after mine started and yet she handled both of us brides like a pro! My matron of honor and niece remarked to me how lucky we were to have such great assistance. She even worked with us to help find the right dresses for my bridesmaid. She was patient, knowledgable and made this such a fun and exciting event! It was such a pleasure to work with Teena, for her excellent customer service I decided to purchase my dress with the Dallas store. I even paid the shipping costs because I valued her assistance that much. It was worth it to me. Teena made this self conscious women feel like a bride and I know on my special day I will feel like a princess. I visited this store yesterday searching for something to wear to my sister's wedding in six weeks. I tried on about twelve dresses. Various staff would check periodically to see if I needed assistance. Unfortunately, I did not find anything suitable at this location. Nothing was the appropriate style for me, which is not the staff's fault. However, the staff could be heard giggling/gossiping VERY loudly at the front of the store. I even heard them grow louder while I was the dressing room. This I found to be off-putting and unprofessional. read more

I went to the store off Preston & 635 this week to look for Bridesmaids dresses. I was there for almost an hour before an associate asked me how I was doing or if I needed any help...which I did. I told the gentleman what I was looking for and what I thought I had found that may work. He rebutdtaled with "well I'm not sure if you're going to be able to have that color. It's a popular color." So I asked him if he was able to check and see if it would be an option, seeing as my wedding isn't until April 2018. He seemed begrudged to look it up. He told me there's a chance but no guarantees. Overall, the customer service was way below average and I was willing to spend a sizable amount of money if they would have been more help in helping me find what I was looking for. Walked in on a Monday night at 8pm and was told that I could try on no more than 3 dresses since I didn't have an appointment. I was fine with that, considering how late I arrived. I had one hour to pick 3 dresses, and the KINDEST consultant named "Rebecca Z" helped me pick and choose at least 6 dresses to try on. She was friendly, thorough, patient, and made the dress search a lot of fun! She did her best to choose dresses that worked well with my figure and suggested options to alter the styles to better suit my needs. Zero zero zero zero. Originally when I went here to get my wedding dress they had assigned a stylist to 4 different wedding parties. So naturally the help was garbage. I ended up finding the dress I liked and went ahead and bought it. Little did I know when I came back for my bridesmaids appointment the service would be even worse. They didn't have a single dress in the color I needed. Boy I wish they would have told me that before I wasted the hour and a half with my girls in that store. No one helped them, we pulled our own dresses by ourself. No one even let us into fitting rooms. This place is a joke. I know Davids bridal has been going down hill for a long time now but LORD. After getting done with the clowns at this store we ended up just leaving. Decided to go to Alfred Angelo Bridal at firewheel town center. And let me tell you what a better selection of dresses they had. MORE COLORS TOO. Not only that but someone actually measured the girls so they knew their size and get this, alterations are free. So long story short, if you want good service don't go here. Go to Angelo's. Oh and Angelo's had the exact same dress I bought at David's except it was 300$ less. I wish I could return my wedding dress, but naturally Davids bridal policy is all sales final. Guess they really do only care about $$$$. read more

Just horrible. I made an appointment to try on bridesmaid dresses, when I arrived early to my appointment there was no one to check me in. I had to walk around to find help. When my stylist arrived she was no help at all. I was wanting someone to help me pick out dresses based on my body shape and color I needed. She basically showed me the styles they have and had me pick out some options. When I got into my dressing room, the walls were filthy, the dresses were filthy, ( she even made comment that whoever put them back last didn't clean them). Then, she disappeared! I tried on all the dresses, waited for her to come around to get some sort of feed back and discuss how the dress look...but NOTHING-she was no where in sight! I wanted to try more dresses, but since I couldn't find her I just left. I just checked my email and got something saying "sorry we missed you." Like I was never even there at all! Ugh very frustrating and a waste of time. -I went at 2 pm on a Wednesday- there was only two other people shopping! read more

I hate this place with the fire of a thousand suns. Not only are the employees unaccommodating, they act like the work at a high class bridal salon. HELLO WAKE UP, you work at a bargain-basement that gets all of their inventory from sweat shops in China and every dress look cheap, cheap, and cheaper. I made the mistake of going to DB first and settled on a dress because I didn't know any better. Not only did the salesgirl pressure me into buying the dress, but then told me lies about their return policy. She insisted that if my dress didn't work out, I would be able to get store credit and use it on whatever & whenever I wanted. Little did I know that this "store credit" would have to be used within 14 days and must be used at one time. Not only that, but she never even measured me when I ordered the gown, and suggested that I get it in a size that ended up being THREE sizes too big on me. It was so big that alterations told me there's no way they would touch it. After I told the assistant manager (Jo-Nathan. no, not Jonathan...dont you dare call him that. it's JO-nathan.) about my desire to look for an exchange dress, absolutely no one helped me. So I dragged a handful of heavy dresses (along with the rest of my belongings) across a completely empty store and 3 employees at the register watching me struggle. Let me be clear and say that not all of their consultants are terrible people. Chanel was so helpful and tried to help calm me down by picking out other dresses that I could exchange for. It's just too bad that by that point I want nothing else to do with this company and their low-grade dresses. tl;dr: if you have $1000 or more to spend, save yourself the hassle and go to Lulu's or A Bridal Closet. They are fantastic, even tried to help me salvage my david's bridal dress. If you have less than $1k to spend, get a dress from dressilyme.com. It's the same quality as DB's lower price-point dresses and much much cheaper. Plus it comes from the same place of manufacturing anyway. read more

I went with a bridal party to David's two times in past few weeks, once shopping for the wedding dress and once for bridesmaids. Both times we made an appointment but no one was able to assist us until about 20-30 minutes after the given appointment time (we arrived early). We went on the weekend, so it was pretty busy, but given that we asked for an appointment ahead of time it was very frustrating that both times they were not ready for us. Looking for a wedding dress, we had an employee who was working directly with us, helping grab dresses, helping the bride with pinning the dress to see fit and things like that, so once we got started she was very helpful and nice. But she started wrapping up things after we had been working with her for about an hour (of our hour and a half appointment) even though we got started late. When we went in for bridesmaids dresses, with an appointment, it was very crowded and we were left to kind of fend for ourselves at the beginning. We picked out a few things and then after about half an hour an employee came to help us. She seemed to be working with more than one group, and she would pop over every once in a while to check on us but any time we asked for anything she seemed like we were really inconveniencing her, and it took quite a while to come back with sizes, different styles, things like that. So we mostly sifted through the dresses for ourselves. This day it was VERY crowded - to the point that someone was using the door of my dressing room as a mirror and I bumped into her every time I went in and out (they have designating mirror areas for brides but they must have been full). Again, at the end of our appointment time they started to rush us out even though we had started late. We even asked if we could stay and try things on our own without any help, and they seemed very reluctant to let us do that. In addition to poor customer service, we were unable to find any dresses that we were particularly interested in. There were maybe two styles we liked, but they didn't come in the right colors. Aside from that, David's does seem to have a much larger selection to try on. Compared to other stores we went to, they definitely had the most dresses on the floor in a variety of sizes and colors. But overall, it was a bad experience and I wouldn't go back. read more

So I'm looking for my perfect wedding dress and decided to stop by this location. When going in the first lady asks if I needed help. I say I'm looking for a drewds and she asks if I have an appointment. Of course I say no. She says that I can't try anything on without an appointment. That they prefer that. Well I'm like ooook. She's looking at me like I can't afford or shouldn't be there. They try to schedule me an appointment and then tells me I can do self serve but I can't try anything on designer. I was bothered by the looks I was getting and the fact that they where not friendly at all to me. Do not waste time or gas to go here. Absolute worst appointment ever. The first experience was 5 years ago for my sister's wedding and it was horrible today for my bridal appointment. I had a 3:30 time booked and no one helped me till 4. Then it was a guy who just grabbed a few dresses and left me, my older mom and one year old nephew to deal with putting them on. I'm sorry but I don't think it's too much to ask for someone to help get the dresses on and put clips on it so you can see if the dress looks good on you. If you care about your wedding dress shopping and alterations experience, DO NOT go to this David's Bridal. I had a horrible experience with DB alterations. I went to pick up my dress after having it altered. The back was supposed to be taken in but the stitching that they had done back there was visible, looked cheap and bunched the dress where there should have been no bunching. When I tried to explain an issue with some stitching in the back of the dress, the seamstress repeated over and over "I can't" and said that there was nothing she could do to fix it. When I asked for her manager I heard her manager say that she didn't have time to deal with me because she was leaving in five minutes. She decided to come back and briefly help. She ultimately said that there was nothing that she could do either. So I requested that they take that alteration out because I would rather it be too big than to look wrinkled. Before they took it out I asked her if i would be refunded for that particular alteration and the manager assured me that I would. I took it off and they took the stitching out. While I was getting dressed she called into the room to tell me that there would be no refund because there were still a few stitches in the back (there were not). As I left I told her the I was very disappointed with how my dress had turned out. She said there was nothing that she could do and that if I wanted them to change it that i would have to pay for it. At that point, it was 10 days before my wedding and I needed to either try to get this $1200 dress fixed elsewhere or go buy a new one.They left me feeling frustrated and helpless. Luckily, my mom was able to fix my dress and I later raised so much hell with their corporate office that they refunded the couple hundred dollars that I had paid for my alterations. read more

Never buy a dress unless you try on your size and it fits well. I was measured and I was told I was in between sizes. Of course I got the bigger size, well turns out.... it is super tight around my butt area. So much so, that I can't sit and the dress bunches up in my midsection. I'm out of luck. Lesson learned. Don't commit to a dress unless they you try on your size at the store. read more

This was the WORST customer service (or lack thereof) experience of ALLLLL TIMES! I went in to get my dress. Paul was the one assigned to help me at my scheduled appointment. When I told him I had less than $300 to spend, his total mood changed. He wasn't helpful from that point on. His exact comment was "well you aren't going to get many options for THAT budget." Anyway, he ended up ordering the wrong dress. After 5 hours of chasing people around that store (Linsey and Melissa, who are supposedly the managers) they got the right dress ordered, but had spent too much time horsing around before the UPS cut off and it came in 4 days later as a result. When it came in, I was 5 days away from my wedding. I went in for the alterations (as anywhere else wanted to charge me a ton of money because it had become such a tight timeframe) so I had no choice but to use their alterations department. Lindsey guaranteed me my alterations would be between $95-120. When I got to the register, she charged me $170. When I complained, she offered me a $14 discount and so I walked out and told her I would call corporate. Before I walked out, I told her that Paul hadn't even offered me an apology the entire time I'd been there for his mistake and causing me so much stress. She wrote down on a note for him to come apologize to me. And his "apology" was the worst - forced and claiming it had NEVER happened in the history of that store. IT WAS HIS MISTAKE! These people take no ownership for their mistakes! I talked to the district manager, she lowered the price down to $95, so I paid that price and will now argue with corporate until they give me my money back. It's the LEAST they could do for not only ruining my experience, but causing me SO MUCH STRESS right before my wedding. read more

Somehow got talked in to going here (ugh why?) so my friend could try on her bridesmaid dress for an upcoming wedding. We walked in and it was clear right away that there were not enough people working to help everyone. It was Sunday afternoon and pretty busy. My friend told them that she was there to pick up a dress she ordered but wanted to try it on. The first salesperson went to the back to have another salesperson come up and help us. This second employee asked us, "well why didn't she just go get your dress?" Um, we don't know actually. She was sick and trying to go home early she let us know. Well she got yet another salesperson to come up front so he could go get us the dress. He brought it out but it was up to us to find our way to the dressing room. (At this time a bride had come in with no appointment but wanting to try on dresses. Weekends book up so ladies, book an appointment. She was making a big deal about it which was pretty ridiculous) Back to dresses! My friend's dress ended up not fitting (sample sizes are always so stretched out keep that in mind) but the alterations lady came out and said "No problem! Just order another one in a size up and if we have to take it in it won't be that expensive." She was very sweet as was another sales person who had just started there and had begun helping us. We made our way to the front to re-order the dress. The newbie salesperson walked us up there and explained the situation to another woman up front. She literally rolled her eyes and said, "if she has to take that dress in its gonna be EXPENSIVE!" Then came over to us and told my friend, "I just want you to know how expensive that is gonna be so there are NO surprises. Its going to be at least another $100!" She was just really rude about the whole thing. We told her the alterations lady was singing a different tune so she called her in the back to verify. Well, the quote came back at about $50 and that is only IF this new dress is too big which who knows because they didn't have the sample size to try on. We basically couldn't get out of there fast enough. Its the McDonald's of wedding dresses. read more
