Not a terrible experience, but not the best either. I made an appointment because I really wanted to try on several of the Vera Wang gowns that I had fallen in love with online. When I got there I gave my consultant a list of the dresses I was most interested in trying on. Since they are an off the rack store, I figured I would be able to try on most of the dresses in my own size, but I was wrong! Most of the dresses were at least two sizes too big, which isn't a huge deal, but they didn't even have any clips to hold me in the dresses. The consultant stood behind me when I looked in the mirror and pinched back the extra fabric with her hands. This was really inconvenient! She was working with another bride, which wasn't a big deal and meant I was able to talk about the dresses with my mom and aunt, but I had to hold the dresses up the whole time! It was very bizarre, in my opinion. The Vera Wang dresses are very pretty, but I do feel like the perception of the quality when you look at the dresses online is different than the actualization of the dresses. I was very interested in the gown with the a-line silhouette and illusions sleeves (I believe it retails between $1300-$1400), and it was definitely the prettiest gown I tried on that day, but there were some issues. The boning in the bodice was very noticeable, and was starting to poke through at the bottom of the bodice (and I was told I was one of the first people to try on that specific dress). Also, I was looking for a more slim fitted a-line, and asked if I could remove a couple layers of tulle, to which all the consultants around me were appalled! How dare I ask to alter a Vera! Sorry, but I'm not going to buy a dress if it's not what I really wanted, or if you're not willing to work with me. I do think David's is a fun place to go because they do have such a wide variety of dresses. If you are planning a day of dress shopping make this your first stop, try on ten dresses so you can get an idea of what you want, and then move along to your next stop. There are so many other boutiques in the area that are willing to give you a customized experience and a dress you will absolutely love! read more

Horrible service, horrible dresses... First, nearly all dresses there are extremely gaudy. The only dress I found that was more or less elegant was severely limited in colors. This is a wedding store business, it is important that it has options! but no, I explained to the girl helping me that I needed rose/taupe/creme colors... Any one of them... She kept bring black and blue and plum. I am sorry, what language would you like me to speak so you can understand what colors i need? Anyway, bridesmaid dresses are notorious for running a bit small. I am size 8, which I think is fairly common. Well, at David's Bridal apparently I am size 12!!! Wtf??? And it's not that I have a body dysmorphic disorder because a few hours later at Nordstrom's I miraculously became size 8 again. Picking out my dream dress became a reality at David's Bridal. Honestly, I had a very basic idea of what sort of dress I wanted. I haven't had much experience with wedding planning so I didn't know what to expect. I was waited on by a very enthusiastic and sincerely genuine consultant, Lani. I immediately liked her and she made me feel at ease. She jotted down my size and theme. I knew I wanted ivory and lace but that was about it. She came back with an armful but I feel in love with the first dress I tried on. I was 99.99% sure that it was THE one but I did try on the others. Turned out I was right! She nailed it for me. I never felt so beautiful and graceful as I did that day. My bridesmaids and I were crying and laughing as I twirled (or tried). Choosing the right accessories to accentuate my features and complement my dress was just as exhilarating. Lani was down to earth and resourceful. I did not have a positive experience with David's Bridal in Scottsdale so decided to try David's at another location. I am rating the David's Bridal on Ray Road in Phoenix five stars for the service experience that I had. I was beyond impressed with the service largely impacted by the professionalism and helpfulness of Jeanne my consultant. She was absolutely fantastic, personable, knowledgeable, seasoned yet up on the latest styles! It is quite apparent that Jeanne is interested and vested in her work and not to mention her authenticity demonstrated how much she cares about her clients saying 'yes to the dress.' I wasn't expecting all the advice she gave us from shoes, to jewelry, to logistics of having bridesmaids all over the country however I thoroughly appreciated all she did for my mom, bridal party, and I! I felt as though we had a boutique experience! If you want a great recommendation for a seasoned, knowledgeable consultant ask for Jeanne and be sure to book your appointment for during the weekday if possible to avoid crowds! read more

I went with my daughters, not really expecting to find a dress. The wedding is still more than a year away but thought it would be fun to start. My daughter had a style in mind and our consultant pulled several dresses, with one that she thought would be perfect. My daughter wasn't convinced but tried it on anyway. Not only did it turn out to be the perfect dress, but our consultant found the perfect sash and fascinator to go with it. My experience was absolutely beautiful! Tam & Elenica did an amazing job with the alterations on my Vera Wang bridal gown. Went here with my mother and her maid of honor to find the perfect dress for her simple wedding. Frankie was our stylist and was very talented in not listening. She would ask what my mom didn't like (sleeves, certain colors, styles etc,) my mom would explain and then Frankie would pull every dress that went against my mothers wishes. After Wasting 30 minutes of the appointment going through that.. it gets worse. This goes along with trying to sell us multiple dress that was DOUBLE her budget. When the appointment was over Frankie just walked off and never came back. (This wasn't very surprising because throughout our appointment she would go and gossip with her coworkers) We were very confused as she did not tell us it was done with. We then continued onto another bridal shop (strut) where we were totally blown away. Wish we could get our time back that was spent during our visit at David's bridal. read more

Very disappointed with this shop. I did buy my bridal gown here which was beautiful, but the experience was definitely not what I had hoped for. I truly felt like each employee I came across, with the exception of one (I wish I could remember her name) did not want to be at their job. They pretty much seemed like they would rather be anywhere else. I felt completely rushed when trying on gowns, which sucks because it's quite a big decision when you are spending that amount of money for a very important day. Costume jewelry is overpriced, alterations are overpriced. Go somewhere else. My friend had her wedding gown altered here and they screwed it up twice! I don't know how it is at other bridal shops, but I think it's shitty that you are not allowed to return anything- only exchange and it's a crime how long they estimate it will take to get the gown you order, especially considering they are a huge chain! read more

Visited this location yesterday without an appointment to look at bridesmaid dresses. The wedding is in 2 weeks and the bride is very lax about the dresses, only specified a color. The greeter was friendly, only one other person seen in store, several employees were at vounter chatting. The associate who was called to assist us was horrible!! She was unfriendly, maintained an RB face for the entire time. Going to the store we already knew certain things wouldn't be possible such as alterations, limited styles etc. But again the bride is not really picky since its a last minute thing. Associate continues to bark about the last minute thing and the limits. I kindly told her I have a personal tailor so it wasn't an issue. We found two possible dresses, one was Vera Wang, more expensive but beautiful. I told associate there was no budget. The other somewhat plain and frumpy. As we are discussing dress associate comes over rushing us to decide of course with attitude. It was 4pm they don't close until 9pm, can we have 5 minutes?!!! We left the store nothing purchased. This review is about one of the tailors at David's Bridal named Tam. My daughter and I went to several bridal shops looking for dresses, then reluctantly went to David's Bridal. After my daughter had tried on a number of dresses we both became very frustrated as none of them fit right and the sales clerk was not very helpful. Just as we were about to leave and look elsewhere, Tam came to the rescue. I think she walked by and noticed that we were in need of some input. My daughter didn't want a strapless dress but loved the look and style of one of the strapless dresses we saw because of the beautiful lacework on the bodice and the fabric on the skirt of the dress. Tam took over, told the salesgirl to go and get a different size dress for my daughter to try on (the one she had on was far too big), pinned it up at just the right places, and added a simple sheer fabric piece to show my daughter how she could modify the bodice of the dress so it was not strapless. She also went and got several veils and suggested what would look best with the dress. BECAUSE OF TAM WE FOUND MY DAUGHTER'S DREAM DRESS and her veil!! Tam has been incredible! I am only happy with David's Bridal in Chandler because of her. We went last week for my daughter's first fitting and she made it a wonderful experience. I purchased a dress from this location about two weeks ago. Walked in 15 minutes earlier and ended up waiting over 20 minutes past my appt for my stylist, Hailey. They called her multiple times over the loud speaker and it still took 20 minutes for her to come help, which doesn't surprise me because she was helping another bride. Halie was wonderful and this review is not directed towards her at all. She was FANTASTIC and really helped me envision what my dress is going to look like once it's in the correct color and size, big props to her. What was frustrating is the management/corporate double books their stylist with multiple brides. I was standing on the podium on a dress that I was not comfortable in AT ALL for 5 minutes. My mom finally got mad and took me into my dressing room and changed me into the next gown. She even complained to the manager on site and asked if we could have a stylist just to myself. The manager said she would check but never came back to us. Horrible customer service from management and corporate for thinking double booking stylist is a good idea. Great experience looking for a bridesmaid dress at Ahwatukee location. Alyssa was very helpful in helping me find my size, and a variety of dresses to try on. The dress I wanted was on clearance but was not in my size, and needed to be altered. Tam came out and pinned the dress to see exactly how it need led to be altered. They were both extremely friendly and very helpful. The alterations ended up being very expensive and I did not end up purchasing the dress in the store, instead I went online and bought it in my correct size. I can see why this location has very few stars. I called ahead of time to see if they had my dress in stock, and they said they did. When I got there, they didn't know what I was talking about. The girl up front signing people in didn't smile once. Nobody payed attention to me the entire time and made me feel like a nuisance. As a plus size bride-to-be, I was nervous about trying on wedding dresses to begin with. My appointment was on a Thursday afternoon, so the store wasn't crowded at all. They showed us around, and said that we could look around until the consultant was available. After a few minutes, Flo came over and said she would be helping us out. She walked me over to the dresses and I explained my worry about being plus size and also gave her the budget I was trying to work with. She was great, she asked me what kinds of dresses I liked, A-line, sweetheart, ball gown? I had to admit to her - I didn't know what any of those terms really meant. We laughed, and she just said to show her what I liked. I did, and we were off. She did really well staying in the budget I gave her (until my mom, who was paying for the dress, said that she didn't care as much about the price as I did!), and the style. After I put on the 3rd dress, I knew it was the one! I told everyone that I didn't need to look anymore, that I had found it! Flo asked if I was going to wear a veil and I said "No." but she put one on me for fun, and it topped off the dress. I liked it so much, we bought it too! I drove 2 hours to Mesa to get to David's bridal with my family. When we got there it was great, until I told my bridal consultant my price range. I was there for the $99 dress sale. That was my budget... Her face visibly changed. The consultant put me in the dressing room in a bra and slip, then I waited... only to find find out she had started helping another bride during my scheduled appointment time. I waited in my room for 15 minutes! I kept peeking out to see what was going on. My consultant was no where to be found. When she finally reappeared she had 3 dresses for me and 3 for the other bride. She helped me into the first dress then helped the other bride into hers. When we came out she proceeded to gracelessly introduce us and our families and informed us she'd be helping us both! DURING MY SCHEDULED APPOINTMENT TIME!! We all sat there awkwardly looking at each other. She left and found the other bride more dresses while I stood there in mine and waited. This happened for all 3 dresses, all the while she brought several more dresses to bride #2. After I had asked for another dress, she hesitantly brought me one.. just one. Seemingly, like I was wasting her time. I saw her roughly 20 minutes total during my 90 minute appointment. It had gotten to the point where her manager and the four other bridal consultants (that were standing around) started helping me. She seemed more concerned with bride #2 who had a higher budget. I felt ignored by my bridal consultant. My experience with David's Bridal was extremely lacking. I would never recommend this establishment to any bride. read more

After reading a few bad reviews, i was hesitant to make an appointment there, but I decided to anyway since i had my heart set on a Vera Wang. I had a great experience! The staff was very friendly! When I tried on the dress of my dreams, the other consultants even came around to tell me how beautiful I looked. My consultant was extrembly patient. She pulled all my "favorites" that I had preselected online and when I was deciding between two, she allowed me to try them on back to back over and over again until I made my final decision. I had a large group with me and they loved the experience as much as I did! David's Bridal has great prices and a large selection! I'd definitely refer my friends to the store on Ray Rd. Needless to say, I purchased my dress on my first appointment. The only suggestion I would make is that they provide better seating for brides who bring groups with them, for saying yes to the dress is a milestone in a girl's life and if there are brides like me out there, they'd love to share the experience with their loved ones. read more

The first time I came in was just a walk in and they were really good with taking me in last minute on a busy day! I think her name was Courtney, she ended up helping me out for a few hours to find the dress of my dreams! We finally found the one towards the end and I wanted to make sure that it was exactly what I wanted so I made an appointment for a couple of days later to come back in and retry on the dress and to buy it from Courtney. When I came in for my appointment I didn't feel like I was much of a priority, but I did get to purchase the dress of my dreams that day so I still left happy. I came in today to pick up my dress (I had to order the correct size online) and try it on before taking it home and I felt, again, like I wasn't much of a priority. The ladies didn't welcome me right upon coming in, and when they directed me where to go, the lady also didn't give me the time of day. Once they pulled out my dress, she stuck me in a dressing room by myself with no one to help me get in my dress. Called and made an appointment to get a bridesmaids dress for my sisters upcoming weeding. My sister was already registered for the dresses there so I figured it would be an easy process. It wasn't. I was turned away at the door as I arrived an hour early and was turned away because they wouldn't have a fitter on staff which was understandable, I then came back an hour later and the lady at the welcome desk told me to walk around till they were ready for me. 10 min later I walk past the desk and the lady LITERALLY SAID "oh I forgot you were here" lol PATHETIC. It then took 10 more minutes to find my sisters registers and the bridesmaids dress that she picked out. Once that was found I was taken to the dresses that I could have found myself to be honest. I was brought to a room and was left there alone with no help what so ever. I went back looking for sizes myself as I was not attended to. If I am asked about this institution you better believe I will tell everyone to not step foot near this store. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Do not go here. The representatives are extremely friendly and always trying to find the best fit for you. Every time I went their, they immediately greeted me and asked if I needed any help. My friend ordered an off the rack dress that was going to take 4 weeks to come in and 24 hours after she ordered it she changed her mind. The really insulting part of the policy is that it is not "All sales are final" but that any returns/exchanges must be for equal or greater value. If I could give this place zero stars, I would! Not only do these girls have zero customer service skills, they do not back up what their employees say. I was told by Janelle(my dress consultant) that my first alterations would be free. She told me to not worry about it, that she'd check with her manager, Brooke, and make sure that happens. So, I show up today to get my alterations and $250 later, I'm still wondering why I chose to ignore their terrible reviews and decided to come here anyway. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone! Go to a cute mom and pop shop where they actually treat you like a bride and a human being...not just like a bag of money that they want to get their hands into. This store has horrible employers. The week before I made my appointment I went in to the store to check it out. I new my size and found one I liked and asked for my size well the lady who I asked pretty much took the dress from my hand and put it back while saying that I shouldn't assume my size and I should wait until I got sized with a stylist. She could have just been nice and given me the dress in my size. The following Saturday I went in for my appointment and I was helped by a really nice stylist. She pretty much knew which dresses fit well for my body. I had a budget which I told her about but when I asked her for a dress that was a little higher in price she basically said that she didn't want to show me something I wouldn't be able to pay for and ruin my dreams. That was the first thing that pissed me off. After I told her I still wanted to see something higher in price, I began to try them on. My mom, niece, sister and I had our own station and when I walk out from the the fitting room another stylist had moved my sister and taken our chairs and fitting room without notice. They made my mother feel bad and told her she had to move. This stylist could have easily taken the fitting room and station next to us which was completely empty or she could have been nice and asked us if we could move over because I can understand if they had a big group and needed more space. They however, did not have a big group and they simply removed our things without asking. The stylist and the customers were so rude to us we had to leave. My stylist was very kind but she did not do anything to stand up for us. I would not recommend this location to anybody.
